“A cozy spot for simple comfort food. I’d recommend trying the beef with chives rice rolls or the curry fish ball rice roll because they look soft, fresh, and flavourful. The congee also seems like a good choice if you want something warm and filling.“

“This is my regular dim sum restaurant that I have up in Aurora. Hans is a great dude, very friendly, and I always have a nice meal here. They have most of the core dim sum for a restaurant up in Aurora, which you don't always get. I'd recommend it.“

“Wonderful mom and pop type shop. Extremely clean, friendly staff, and very quick. As a fellow chef I cannot recommend this place more. It was insanely fresh everything cooked to perfection and the staff were very happy to be working. You could tell they enjoy their jobs by the way they interact with fellow staff and their customers. If you want something quick and amazing try this place out :)“

“I pretty much always get delivery for my orders, but every time we order, the food is perfectly prepared and delicious every time! The delivery is on time, every time and leftovers of Mei Ling's food do not last long in our fridge! Best Chinese food I have ever experienced!“

“This restaurant has basically become our go-to “family canteen.” Whenever we don’t feel like cooking at home or can’t decide what to eat, we usually end up here.
The prices are very affordable and fair, and they often have promotions or deals that make it even better value. The food is consistently good too—nothing fancy, but always satisfying and reliable.
There’s really not much to complain about. It’s just one of those simple, dependable spots that’s both tasty and budget-friendly, which is exactly why we keep coming back.“

“Authentic HK diner vibes, best food for the value you will not be disappointed. Don’t listen to the bad reviews online. This is a must try, If you’re in the area. I’ve grown up eating HK food all my life, this is a hidden gem.
Best dishes IMO
- XO vermicelli stirfry
- pork and chicken baked rice with two sauces
- baked fish on rice with white sauce
- bite-size French toast
Service is lacking, and you will have to self serve, but the food is worth it! 😂🤣🤭“

“Chat Bar has such a cool vibe for a late-night hangout! The energy is lively, fun, and perfect for catching up with friends over drinks and snacks. The food is great for sharing, the atmosphere feels young and relaxed, and it’s the kind of place where the night naturally keeps going. Service was friendly and quick, even later in the evening. Definitely a great spot when you want something casual, tasty, and full of late-night energy.“

“This place is excellent! I love the pickled carrots and cucumbers that are on the side with many of the plates. We had the beef skewers, a vermicelli with chicken and a mixed rice plate (with pork chop, fried egg, chicken and BBQ pork) and an order of chicken wings. The wings were very good, and everything else was unbelievably excellent. I loved the flavours and textures.“

“Came with my parents for Mother’s Day. They’re both from Sichuan and quite picky when it comes to food from their home province, but they said they were pleasantly surprised by how delicious and authentic the food was! Service was fast and friendly as well. Would come back again :)“

“Really enjoyed my meal at Xin Yi Time! It’s getting harder to find affordable meals these days, so I was surprised that most dishes here are under $13 while still giving such massive portions.
I tried the Taiwanese braised pork rice and it tasted very authentic — super flavorful, well marinated, and nice and saucy. Every combo also comes with rice and 2 veggies, which makes it feel like a complete home-style meal.
The shop itself is small and simple, run by a friendly Asian auntie, which gives it a cozy homemade vibe. Definitely more of a takeout spot, but great for a quick affordable comfort meal. Would come back again!“

“The Big Trio is my go-to place for wonton noodle twice a week. Their beef tripe is also very tasty and tender. However the combinarion of wonton and tripe is the best. Add a bit of chilli oil...oh my.... my stomach thanks me for it. I think i am addicted to it. ;)“

“I really like their taste. It feels like home. The food is also very sufficient. Mung bean soup and gluten-stuffed meat are made by Wuxi people with my eyes closed.

“O Street Cafe really delivered with their Special Poached Chicken with Rice. The chicken was tender and cooked to perfection, and the rice was packed with flavor. The Russian borscht was equally impressive — rich and hearty, not watered down like some other places. Great job guys!“

“Bayview Kitchen is an absolute hidden gem for Chinese food! Every dish we ordered was excellent—fresh, flavorful, and incredibly delicious. It's one of those low-key restaurants that doesn't need flashy decor because the food speaks for itself.
One thing that really stood out was the staff. The serving aunties genuinely seem to love what they do, and you can feel it in the warm, caring atmosphere they create. Their friendliness makes the whole dining experience feel welcoming and comfortable.
The restaurant is also very clean and well kept, which is always appreciated. Most dishes are around $10–20, and the portions are generous—large enough to leave you satisfied or even have leftovers. They also don't skimp on the ingredients. Their stir-fries, fried rice, fried noodles, and soups all have an excellent meat-to-vegetable ratio, so you actually get plenty of protein in every bite instead of mostly vegetables.
A nice touch is that if you dine in, they serve a complimentary bowl of tong sui (Chinese sweet dessert soup), which is a thoughtful way to end the meal. They also do takeout very well—the food travels nicely and the portions are just as generous.
Considering the quality, portion sizes, and prices, Bayview Kitchen offers amazing value, especially in today's economy. They accept cash (no debit), so it's good to keep that in mind before you go.
If you're looking for authentic, delicious Chinese food without breaking the bank, Bayview Kitchen is definitely worth a visit. It's the kind of neighborhood spot you'll want to keep coming back to.“

“Egg drop soup 5/5 very rich broth taste and fresh veggies
Taos general chicken 5/5 very good but could be a little bit more juicy
Chicken fried rice 5/5
Steamed dumplings 3/5, weird filling, and they all got stuck to each other
Egg roll is 4/5 just not a big fun of the dish, but it was flavorful
Service is top notch! The owner is a very lovely chinese lady, the cooking area looks very clean too, everything is in order.
Overall it’s a very good local spot for chinese craving, will come back for sure.“

“Best Chinese food I have had in many years. The food is fresh, nothing is greasy , taste is great ! We’re in Sutton and nothing compares! “To be honest, the food is great and I’ve already been there three times. But on my last visit, one of the staff kept pushing me to order the crispy chicken. I told her I don’t like chicken and just wanted something else, but she became quite rude and remained impolite throughout the entire dinner. I’m not sure why she acted that way, but because of that experience, I won’t be going back.“

“This is one of the Chinese north western halal restaurants franchise in Toronto. I had visit this franchise in other location and general speaking, they are good at what they are doing.
The meat were tasty and full of spices. Due to the current inflation, the portion definitely shrinked a lot (lol). For one for the chicken soft bone, that is a 7 bucks dish and we only get a handful of soft bone as per the photo.
And the chicken stew with potato, the portion had gone down too.
May come back in the future when every thing not that expensive.“

“The first time I went, they weren’t busy. Now they’re very popular. Back then, they weren’t very welcoming if you didn’t speak the language.
One thing they consistently do well is the food🤭it has tasted great every time I’ve visited. However, recently the prices have gone up a lot. At these prices, you could have a decent BBQ meal, while this place is really more of a snack restaurant.
If you’re wondering what to order, I’d recommend the noodles and some of the side dishes.
The customer service has improved compared to before. The staff are now fast and professional. Wait time is long. Sometime they didn’t have table so I left.“

“This is a very casual, low-key place, perfect for lunch! I tried their braised pork belly with preserved mustard green on rice and sea coconut partridge soup. Both outstanding! Hot and flavourful! They also have a new Thai menu. I will definitely go back to try their Singapore hainanese chicken on rice. They take credit cards. Plenty of parking!“

“Overall simple to the point, Chinese takeout. Portion size was good in the all in one combo. Lots of noodles and chicken and vegetables. Noodles were a bit under seasoned and the chicken was mostly sweet but that’s kind of the experience I want/crave with simple Chinese takeout. I’ll be back.“

“Came once and kept coming back, now four visits in and still loving it. Great value, tasty food, and a spacious, comfortable space.
The standout dish is the crispy braised pork belly with fermented red bean curd — served with fresh lettuce so you can wrap it like Peking duck. The crunch of the lettuce against the tender, flavourful pork is just incredible. The pork stomach and chicken soup and claypot rice are also highly recommended, especially for the price.
Friendly service too. Genuinely one of my favourite spots — highly recommend“

“Nine of my friends and I recently visited Mr. Congee. Overall, we had a good experience, and all of my friends were happy with their meals. I am vegan, and the options for me were quite limited, but I managed. One of my friends is gluten intolerant, and unfortunately she could only have a small portion of steamed vegetables. It would be wonderful if you could consider adding more clearly labeled vegan and gluten-free dishes to the menu. The staff who served us — Yao, Michelle, and Jason — were very kind, polite, and attentive. We truly appreciated their service. The only thing that bothered me was seeing live crabs in the tank near the entrance. For animal advocates, this can be quite disturbing.“

“Oh my goodness. I am writing a review immediately after ordering take-out from this restaurant. We moved recently into the area but were going to order from a place further away, that was tried and true. But, then there was a snow storm and no way did I want to drive so far in this weather. We took a chance on Mister Moon’s and I am so glad we did. I wanted to try all of our favourite dishes, even though it was way more food than we could eat in one sitting. But we are very picky about dishes. The chicken balls have to have big chunks of chicken with just a nice coating of batter. The lo mein needs to be free of any veggies, but still have flavour. And the beef and broccoli, juicy beef but crispy broccoli. Oh. And this place had two kinds of wontons. So, my review? So darn good!!! We actually received sweet and sour chicken, instead of sweet and sour chicken balls. So when I called, our incorrect item was rectified immediately. We were given two orders of the chicken balls (even though I promised one would suffice), but the restaurant insisted. Crazy thing though, we all loved the sweet and sour chicken as well. But. It’s the chicken balls that can make or break our opinion, and that’s why I really wanted to try them.
I cannot say enough good things about the food and the service. We will definitely be repeat customers. I’m stuffed, and very satisfied. Thank you so much for such a great experience!!“

“Great new Chinese restaurant and apparently with a well-experienced chef!
Reservations are HIGHLY recommended.
Their special steam soups are also pre-order only.
Great quality food, environment is okay, a bit stuffy but staff are very friendly and polite. They seem a bit understaffed though so it's tough for them to handle so many tables along with walk-ins.
Loved the pre-ordered soup, pig intestine was good, $10 鮑魚扣鵝掌 (
Supposed to be 海參 but they ran out so substitute with abalone) was a good deal. Mushrooms were big and juicy.
Chili oil was fragrant and good level of spice.
Will definitely return to try their other dishes.“

“If you want a place with authentic and delicious Chinese food, this is the place to go. But if you are looking for a place with great service, this is not the best place to go. We ordered the beef congee, the shrimp noodle rap, and the beef brisket noodle. The beef brisket noodle was very delicious and a little bit spicy. The brisket was soft and the broth was good. I liked this place and will probably come back.“

“This place is absolutely cozy and wonderful. The food is cheap but quality is above and beyond what you could expect. Very cozy familiar atmosphere where you can talk with your love ones over some delicious food and have a wonderful time here. Staff are so friendly and amazing. Food came quite fast and the noodle soups are absolutely so fresh you can litterally smell the freshness when it's brought out. I also had some delicious garlic wings and the pork tender mo and I can't be more excited to eat here again. They also have take out containers so no food goes to waste. 10/10 will definitely come again“
