“Food/sauce is very flavorful, atmosphere is great and you can watch him making the noodles. What’s not to like?? Oh yeah and the cat robot that delivered our appetizers was awesome! We’re here at noon on a Monday and I can’t believe this place isn’t packed; with this delicious food it should be. We’re on vacation but I wish they had one in Charleston! Two thumbs way up!!“

“It’s been a long time since my last visit. The service is still top-notch, but the dinner premium set has noticeably fewer food options now. The 4-broth pot is too small, and the vegetables are cut so long that it's really hard to fit them into the compartments to cook. The most frustrating part is that they got rid of the crème brûlée and milk pudding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The new dessert replacements just don't taste very good!!!!!!!!!
Strongly recommend bringing back the milk pudding and crème brûlée!!!!!!!!!“

“Good price for a AYCE. They have a good variety, a lot of seafood. Lobster, clams, shrimp, snails. The broth is delicious and service is good. I would come back, nice spot to chill and eat and they don’t rush you out after a certain time, you can take your time and enjoy the food!“

“小笼包, 葱油饼, 饺子, noodles, all housemade by owner, very delicious and tasty. It is such a hidden gem. We absolutely will return and let our friends know about this restaurant.
It is a tiny restaurant with few tables, can't take loads and loads of people.“

“I recently organized a birthday party for my dad at Avenue Restaurant, and I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. Brandon was incredibly efficient and helpful throughout the planning process, making the organization seamless. On the day of the event, everything ran smoothly, thanks to the attentive staff. The food was outstanding—everyone raved about it! The service was exceptional, with the team going above and beyond to ensure that all our needs were met. I will definitely return to Avenue for future meals and events. Highly recommend!“

“A hidden hole in the wall gem in a fairly unknown plaza that has some awesome liangpi noodles.
The liangpi noodles is my go to for this spot. The noodles with the sesame sauce and the chili oil was so tasty.
I also got the rougamo beef and a lamb one. The meat was alright, but the bun had a dry texture and left an aftertaste. Not sure if it was just me, but I would stick with the noodles which they have several options for.
Service, on point. I did speak Cantonese to the lady working and she was fantastic recommending items and informing me how long things would take and if she had to step away while I was deciding.
This place is a takeout place so there aren’t any seats available.
Parking is only a few spots, but for the size of plaza and the shops there, it’s enough.
Great job overall“

“Really authentic. Tastes like home; a lot
Of Hunan dishes I’ve ordered in Toronto never tasted like when I used to visit my relatives in Hunan, but this one tasted EXACTLY like
How I had it in the village.
I’m really impressed, I just wish their online menu had English.“

“We had recently moved to the area and this quickly became our go to restaurant. Pretty much every weekend we would order food from here and pick it up. The service was also so good every time we went.
We had all our cousins over last week (who travelled from Brampton only to try their food coz we loved it so much) when we noticed they were closed. And it has remained closed ever since.
I’m not sure if they closed down or if they have something else going on but I certainly hope that they come back again. Missing the food so much already!“

“The best curry laksa I have had in a long time. Food was piping hot for a take out.
The chili pedi chicken was so flavorful 10/10 recommend.
Pad Thai was alright; The other dishes overshadowed the flavor of the Pad Thai.
I will definitely be going back again to try more from their menu.“

“Original 'wok hai' flavour that I grew up with in the 70s. So happy I found this place. I try to come here every week.
My family likes the food here so I don't have to make any excuses to visit here. 😋
Their #9, beef with black bean sauce on flat rice noodles, is a regular for me. So far, all of their fried rice dishes have been excellent. The lady is really nice and a pleasure to meet every time.
The only worry I have is the day they retire - where will I get my 'wok hai'?“

“We’ve been going to this place for awhile now , my hubby loves one of the soup menu , the chow mein noodles which we always have to ask them to remove or add ingredients and they are always very accommodating. My hubby is a picky eater. Price is pretty reasonable.“

“We had such a wonderful dining experience, and a big part of that was thanks to Khush.
From the moment we arrived, Khush welcomed us with a genuine smile and made us feel comfortable right away. Throughout the meal, the service was attentive without ever feeling rushed. They checked on us at just the right times, made sure our drinks were always refilled, and were happy to answer our questions and offer recommendations.
What really stood out was the kindness and positive attitude. You can tell Khush truly cares about making every guest feel welcome and enjoy their visit. It’s not often you come across service that feels so genuine and thoughtful. Even though the restaurant was busy, Khush remained professional, patient, and incredibly friendly.
The food was delicious, but excellent service is what turns a good meal into a memorable experience. Thanks to Khush, our family had a relaxing and enjoyable time, and we left with smiles on our faces.
If you’re visiting this restaurant, I hope you’re lucky enough to have Khush as your server. They are a true asset to the team. Thank you for making our visit so enjoyable—we’ll definitely be back!

“The braised beef noodle soup was delicious! The beef was super tender, the broth was light and refreshing, and the noodles were perfectly bouncy and chewy. The beef fried dumplings were juicy with a tasty dipping sauce, and the beef clip bun was well seasoned and really good. Everything was reasonably priced. Would definitely come back!“

“Great food, service, and atmosphere. Prices were fair and food was authentic and delicious! The meat skewers were a favourite :) Servers were incredibly kind and very helpful in accommodating a toddler with a high chair and special plate and utensils. Very clean and fun atmosphere as they were playing a World Cup game on a large projector. Works recommend and come again.“

“Ordered Shanghai Noodles, Ho Fun, Yang Chow Fried Rice and a spring roll. Shanghai noodles were kinda bland. Not much flavour and no way to comment on Uber to add some spice. Got a chili crisp cup but it still was kinda flat tasting. Ho fun was just OK too. Kinda dry and not many spring onions, also not very flavourful. Kinda boring. The fried rice on the other hand was great. Highly suggest that one, and the spring roll was pretty good as well. 4 is a fair score for the food I got here.“

“Chai Kee has similar style as the previous Jim Chai Kee in Richmond hill. The difference is that this one is self served style with a famous speciality - pork liver noodle. Pork liver is something you cannot make it well and at Chai Kee, it is very well made. Their menu is somewhat specialized a beef, pork liver and fish ball (more like fresh fish paste) . They have nice noodles , deep fried fish skin and for some reason, they have condensed milk toast with milk tea. I have been there at least four times :) At the beginning , it was very crowded but now it is a nice busy pace. I love their pork liver and beef noodle . I also had fish ball and liver noodle too. What I liked about them: 1. Amazing price 2. Good food and the pork liver is amazing 3. Very clean 4. Nice service So I’d recommend chai Kee for a good wholesome noodle place For an amazing price“

“They have a great selection of food. We went there two times, one dine-in, one take-out. Their spicy potato is very addictive. We tried their lamb, beef, pork belly skewers and they're cooked perfectly. The salad is a great appetizer. The garlic clam and grilled eggplant are a must order.“

“This morning was my first time ordering from Asian Fusion and the food is absolutely delicious, fresh and both combos were still hot by the time I got home. I ordered the Sweet and Sour Pork with Fried Rice and Vegetables for myself and got the Salt and Pepper Chicken with Noodles and Vegetables for my Husband. Both were portioned very well and at a reasonable price. We both enjoyed it! The owner currently working right now is very friendly and kind. This restaurant is officially my go to and I highly recommend eating at this wonderful establishment.“

“Brought my mom to one of her favorite food spots today! This place may not look fancy or big it’s actually a pretty small restaurant but the chef makes incredible dishes. Mom always orders their spicy fish, and we also got a spicy sour cabbage and their signature fried pancake dish (the pancakes are sliced into noodle form and stir-fried with bean sprouts). Everything was so good! The portions are generous too, we even had leftovers. Highly recommend this place, and the customer service is amazing as always!“

“This place was recommended by family.
The first couple of times I tried their spicy soups and yes, it’s quite spicy. I normally can handle the spice but it’s also because the soup broth is very hot (comes with a hot plate underneath), it made it extra spicy! The following visit I tried their regular noodle soup/broth and it was much better. There is side condiments so you can add however much spice you like. The price you pay is pretty good compared to other places - you get egg, beef, fish, corn, tofu, lettuce, black fungus, along with the noodles (some places you only get noodle and beef). Value is definitely there. Ambiance is good, not too noisy. Staff are friendly and attentive. Really like how the broth is always very hot so it keeps your food hot even if you’re a slow eater!“

“A great spot for traditional northern Chinese cuisine, especially for brunch. They offer freshly made buns that are soft, warm, and very satisfying. The green bean crepe with fried dough is a must-try, with a nice balance of texture and flavor, and the soft tofu soup is also comforting. The menu focuses on classic northern-style dishes, making it a reliable place for an authentic and casual meal. Highly recommended.“

“It has been over 30 years since my last visit to Red Tea House, so I was excited to stop by again.
Timing & Atmosphere:
I visited early on a weekday around 8:30 AM. It’s worth noting that not many restaurants in this area open this early, making it a great spot for an early breakfast.
The Food:
I ordered a couple of traditional Hong Kong breakfast staples:
Satay Beef Noodles: The preparation isn't the standard breakfast style; instead, it tastes more like the satay stir-fried noodles you would typically order for dinner. Even though it wasn't traditional, it was still very tasty!
Hong Kong Milk Tea: Very good, smooth, and authentic.
Service & Parking:
Service: The service here is extremely good. Both of the ladies serving were incredibly friendly and welcoming.
Parking: No issues at all with parking at this time of the morning“

“Good food for reasonable prices. Quick service too! The lamb dumplings were delicious, the pan fried pork and beef could be a bit more crispy. Green onion pancake was average, barely any onions in it. The cold noodles was packed with flavor.
Popular menu item we saw others having was the jellied bean curd.
Does get busy on weekend around lunch time. Limited parking and seating. (Good for 1-4 people)“

“Very hospitable man. My family of 3 decided to come to this hidden gem on a sunday not knowing they were supposed to be closed on sundays. So naturally I had to ask why he opened his store that day. He said whenever he has free time on sundays, he comes and opens his shop :).
Also, some easter egg you might miss: the owner actually used to practice traditional chinese medicine and have incorporated his knowledge into his simple yet energizing home style dishes. He said once you're done eating it, you'll feel energized rather than lethargic.
As per the food itself, Its pretty good and filling. The noodles appear to have been hand made and the broth (add some salt) was fragrant and easy to consume. The beef was extremely tender and the intestine was perfect.
Key take aways: this place isnt usually a sit down place, but if u so desire like my family did? You can! I believe there are about 6 chairs there or perhaps just abit more. But yeah, just dont complain if it isnt all that fancy. But for us? We'd much prefer to eat at places like this than anywhere over the top so we can focus on the food.
Next, bring cash.
Lastly? Be patient and say hi to the man. Running this place single handedly (atleast on that day we visited) for nearly 20 years, a hi hello here and there can go a long way :).
For less than 12$... these are some of the last gems you'll see around that can still fill you up.“

“These are hands down some of the best dumplings for the quality and price. We bought a bag of shumai and a bag of hargow. We saw the lady making them in store. Her husband provided great customer service, and checkout was quick. We were in and out of the store in under 2 minutes. When we tried them today, we felt they were restaurant quality! Delicious! 😋 This is going to be our one-stop shop for dumplings going forward. 🥟“

“It was my first time going to this restaurant and Leslie was kind enough to show me his recommendations for each category on the menu. He also explained the spice levels available. I ordered sauteed pork with bamboo shoots with regular spice and it was amazing. Spice level was tolerable. I was sweating but it wasn't bad that I couldn't taste the other flavours. Serving was more than enough for one person. I had to get the rest for take out.“
