“This was the best Mandarin experience I have ever had in all honesty. Mandarin has always been my go-to for a buffet experience but what really set this one apart from the others I have visited over the years was the outstanding customer service. Our visit today was overseen by a lovely lady named Lily and her attentiveness to our needs and overall friendly demeanor was a pleasure to have. It was a real pleasure and surprise to have a very nice gentleman come to our table to thank us for our patronage and if we needed anything..it's always nice when it has happened in the past at other restaurants I have been too over the years..a good manager will always strive to make his customers happy but never have I had this happen at a buffet style restaurant usually being reserved for more quiet and private setting type places. What really surprised me though was that this was the Owner of this location!I truly enjoyed my visit today and this Mandarin location truly raised the bar in my eyes and this will now be my go-to Mandarin for a truly wonderful experience.Thank you to all the staff and management for giving me a great experience and one for me to look forward to having again in the future!“
“Mandarin is a good spot to join and celebrate an event with the family. Tons of food and good atmosphere. I would recommend going during the crab event. The roast beef is actually really good if you can get it fresh. They have excellent number of desserts.“
“Good fast food style restaurant for chinese burgers and noodles. They have modern decor and spacious seating. The burgers are crispy, and the noodles have affordable prices. There's no table service, so it's essentially a fast food restaurant where you pickup the order at the counter.I ordered a combo, and they were able to swap the pop for hot soymilk at no additional cost ?. They have a variety of cold and hot drinks available.“
“First time trying this place. It's located inside the mall. Simple and nice decor. We ordered the following:1. shiitake mushroom with orange shreds (definitely recommend!)2. braised tofu with wild mushroom (very good!)3. Thai fried rice4. marinated assorted platterIt is better to make reservations. Would definitely return.“
“First time here and absolutely blown away! Tried their 生煎包, 夫妻肺片, and 牛尾拉麵 – all incredibly delicious. You can set your highest expectations, and they will not disappoint. Thanks to Wendy and Cita for the recommendation!“
“Amazing restaurant! The food was delicious and 10/10. It was our first time trying this spot and we definitely had a great time. Our server was very nice and helped us decide what to order. Our drinks were so good as well. We will definitely be back. I advise making reservations to going prior as the space is small.“
“This restaurant is truly unforgettable and absolutely delicious. The staff members are incredibly kind and attentive, making the dining experience all the more enjoyable. Their warmth and thoughtfulness truly enhance the overall atmosphere. From the moment you step in, you're greeted with a welcoming smile and genuine hospitality. The servers go above and beyond to ensure that every need is met and that guests feel comfortable throughout their meal. Each dish is prepared with care and precision, resulting in flavors that are nothing short of remarkable. Whether you're indulging in classic favorites or trying something new, every bite is a culinary delight. Overall, this restaurant has left a lasting impression on me, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience with exceptional service.“
“This is premium dimsum at its best in the GTA. I believe this is the best cha-siu bbq pork I've had in my life. All the portions are generously sized in comparison to the price. It's not the cheapest dimsum place, but it's very delicious to eat here“
“Quaint little wonton restaurant. Quality very close to the one on Queen st. The wonton noodles are cooked beautifully with a bite to them. The braised beef is so tender it melted in your mouth. I like the broth from the Queen location slightly better because there seemed to be a bit of spice to it. But overall both taste amazing. Only downside to this location is that it doesn't offer the appetizers that the Queen location does. Curry fish balls, fried wontons etc... The spot is a bit small too so it might be hard to find seating during busy hours but if you can get a seat it's worth it! Thanks“
“This place, a favorite for those in the know, specializes in quick, delicious chang fen and noodles that won't break the bank. Among the offerings, the rice roll with crispy fried dough and the truffle paste rice roll with mushrooms stand out, serving not just food, but memories on a plate. The interior might strike some as plain or even dated, but for me, it’s part of its charm. It’s a reminder of a time when simplicity was cherished, and the focus was squarely on the food and the community it brought together. This old-school vibe, increasingly rare amid today’s sleek and modern eateries, offers a unique kind of comfort, a quick escape to a world where things move a bit slower, and the food tastes like it was made with a dash more care.Despite its unassuming appearance, the quality of the food here is consistently impressive. Each dish is a proof that true culinary excellence doesn’t always come with frills. The comfort found in devouring four or five dishes here is unparalleled, leaving you in a state of contentment so profound, you might just find yourself dozing off, lulled by the satisfaction of a belly well fed.Vegetarian options: You may get away with the dietary restrictions with the most of their rice rolls and congees. But the noodles are served with meat.Dietary restrictions: Those with difficulty with glutens may struggle. Please beware.Parking: Parking could be on and off depends on time of visit, but there’s always spot available inside the plaza although it may lead you to walk a bitKid-friendliness: Pretty simple and comfort foods.Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is rather moderate to accommodate wheelchairs although might struggle getting in.“
“Stopped in here on a whim and super happy we did. We got the special they have right now which is char siu soy sauce chicken and rice combo that comes with soup, all for $8.99 plus tax.The soup was delicious - a lot of quality Asian ingredients were used in it. The char Siu was nice and lean, and they use a different recipe with the sauce that is a little different from other places, but still delicious. The texture on all the food including the rice was perfect. Sometimes BBQ places make the rice too mushy, but this one was great.Lastly the people here seem really nice and were very welcoming to us. Seemed like they knew a lot of the people coming in too. Happy to support friendly people ?Note - only accepts debit and cash“
“Great low key place for handmade noodles. I have two boys 9-11 who are picky eaters and both enjoyed the authentic beef noodles. The soup is a curry broth, but not spicy. Husband had the braised beef noodles and said they were good. I had the pork and eggplant noodles. Really tasty sauce. Wish the egg plant pieces were bigger. The noodles are really good. We come to Toronto every few months and slways go to DTF, but im so glad we tried this place. This is not a great place for atmosphere though. You eat and leave.“
“The meat skewers are huge, and the set meal for 4 people is very cost-effective. We also ordered grilled fish, which was absolutely delicious, but it was too busy and had to wait a little longer when calling the waiter. All in all, you can go there next time for a dinner party.“
“A nice restaurant with authentic cuisine, each dish is beautifully presented. The atmosphere is also very elegant. We were not able to finish our meal so that we meant to take out, and all staff were friendly to give us some packing boxes, next time I would like to visit this restaurant again.“
“Looking for somewhere to have lunch in a Saturday. First place parking lot full.. so we found this restaurant not so far away and I would not have picked it because it was not near anyaon roads and located in a business building. We arrived and no signs outside for the reatuarant so we walked in the front lobby and it was located in the hallway, right of the elevator. We got seated and ordered, out meals and appitizer arrived not too long after. It was pretty busy, seating was for about 30 people. We ordered a mixed appitizer cold platter, sliced dry noodle with beef and potato glass noodle with spicy beef in soup. The salad was very fresh and had potato salad, fungus, lotus root, seaweed and few other items, I quite enjoyed the appitizer and almost ate everything before our noodle bowls came. The Alice noodle with beef bowl was very filling and was very flavorful. The potato noodles and spicy beef was also great, I orderwd not so spicy just incase I couldn't handle the heat and it was just perfect for me but I felt the potato noodles was way less than the sliced noodles. We enjoyed everything and will come back again. Just remember the main building doors close after 6pm so you need to back of the building to enter the restaurant.“
“Can't expect much from a food court except when your at The Pacific Mall. Definitely in the TOP TEN NOODLE ? List. Service is amazing, I didn't catch her name But the Queen who runs King is lovely and helpful. The Brisket noodle with Egg is tender, delish and $9.99 we got a order of Rolls (? ) they honestly weren't that great, but the soup is amazing and a must try ❤️“
“The quality of Chew Tong Tian’s food never disappoints me, and the service attitude makes me feel more friendly. Whether it’s the fish noodle soup or curry chicken rice for lunch, or the lamb belly pot or stuffed glutinous rice chicken for dinner, it’s always good. The steamed and baked fish sausage that brought back my childhood memories was really not good enough. I also looked at a restaurant and saw whether it was serious about running it. The restroom is an important indicator. In eight of the ten restaurants, I was yelled at and couldn't hold back my anger when I entered. You can leave as soon as you think about it, but the clean management is worthy of praise again and again.“
“The food is amazing and it's so delicious. It's a step up from the traditional dishes. The portion is great but the price is quite high. Get their membership if you plan to spent more than $200 in 2 years. I went there twice and now I regret not getting their membership.“
“Great HK cafe! One of their best dishes is the 干炒牛河 (Cantonese Stir fry Beef Hor Fun) because of the wok hay and at a very affordable price. Most items on the menu come with a drink included (or small charge for cold drink). There is always a wait during lunch time, but the food is definitely worth the wait!“
“Tangra Villa food is awesome specially chilly chicken and chicken and chowmein. The prices are very reasonable and quality and quantity of food is good. Their staff is very friendly and always gives you best suggestions to choose form. I would highly recommend this place.“
“Authentic Taiwanese comfort food that brings me back to Taipei.Price is good and the portion is generous. If you've made it pass 5 minutes of sitting and feeling adventurous. I recommendtrying their fried golden brown Stinky Tofu. Be warned. It stinks … like weeks-old worn socks in the tropics. It tastes as it smells but if you hold your breath a little, it's really not that bad. It's crispy on the outside and soft and smooth inside. There's a very slight hint of ammonia from fermentation and while eating it, you actually forget the smell with the sauce. Good luck ?“
“This is another branch of my favourite restaurant. The best thing I like about this restaurant is that no matter which branch you visit the taste stays the same. I really love BBQ lamb skewers, beef, fried rice, hot and sour shredded potatoes, and stir fried beef. I’m their regular customer and would love to keep coming. Last time I came a Mongolian band by the name of HongGai was visiting this restaurant, and also sang few songs here. I’m adding the video as well to the review.“
“first visit: march 23, 2024went with friends for dinner, we had reserved a table for 20 around 11am today. if you plan to go on a weekend, better reserve while early cause this place/branch is packed! we were seated within minutes of reservation time (630pm), and staff CHERRY was very accommodating. we were a group of 16 with some kids -apparently i over-ordered, but we had them to go anyway, so no food wasted.fast service considering how busy it was.. i can't stress enough how wonderful the staff are.. I'm calling out the owner: these people are very good! just saying! food is awesome! we had a good spot, and price is reasonable! parking a little difficult during dinner time, but lots of parking, so just be patient!they ran out of bbq pork, so our server recommended something and saved some for us by ordering it ahead. this place is highly recommended!“
“If it wasn't for the 20% discount, I wouldn't go because this restaurant is too expensive compared to other restaurants. The seafood ingredients are fresh, but all the meat and internal organs are soft in the pot. They must have been soaked for a long time or processed in some way. What's amazing is that none of the other side dishes, desserts, fruits, and ice cream are too disappointing.“
“The selling point of this Chinese restaurant I would have to say is they have an enormous selection Chinese favourites. All the food is pretty good. Not spectacular but better than average. This place has something for everyone. Service was friendly and quick. I'd go again to try other dishes. Definitely a good place for family dinners.“
“We searched around a little bit in the downtown Toronto Chinatown for dim sum places last night to no avail, and then my wife’s coworkers and friends sent some places further out in the Scarborough and Markham suburbs to check out today. After eating a bit at Ding Tai Fung in Scarborough, not realizing until we were already seated that it wasn’t what most would consider traditional dim sum, we made our way to Markham to try out New Century Restaurant. It did not disappoint. This was a whole other level of dim sum than what we were used to in New York. Even compared to the places in Flushing and Brooklyn, this was markedly better. We tried many of the staples — har gow, beef wrap, shu mai, chicken feet, some sort of tofu skin wrapped thing LOL, and buns with salted yolk egg cream inside — and they were all awesome.I particularly loved my staple trio of har gow, beef wrap, and shui mai. All were massive and much more substantial than anything we’d get in any New York dim sum place. The har gow and shui mai were absolutely LOADED with shrimp. The har gow came with a fifth smaller one with roe on top and folded in a slightly different way for presentational purposes. The beef wrap actually had greens wrapped in with the beef for a nice change in texture and flavor.Overall just a wonderful dim sum here in the Toronto area. Definitely recommended if you ever come by this way!!“
“We came here for a special occasion and ordered the special combo of the week which cost $188 and opted to upgrade to lettuce wraps for an additional $15. The Pumpkin Soup came with seafood, which sounds like it wouldn’t work, but it did. We were huge fans! The Peking Duck was fantastic. Pro tip: the wraps for the Peking Duck dry out relatively quickly so be sure to eat that when it comes out. The lettuce wraps were a close second. The minced meat was really tasty without being overly salty. We really enjoyed the vegetables that they added into the meat as it gave each bite an extra crunch. They used pork neck to make their sweet and sour pork which was a bit interesting. The meat was slightly tougher and the breading was cooked in a way that made it extra crunchy. The eel was as expected. Delicious. But watch out for the tiny bones. The Abalone was really fresh and cooked perfectly and packed a lot of flavor. We got an assortment of desserts that included Mango Pudding, Cookies and Red Bean Soup. It was the perfect way to end the night. All in all our experience was superb and was enhanced by the excellent service we received.“
“Small gem of a noodle shop that's both cheap and very tasty! Has only about 7 small tables inside.Wuhan Dry Noodle:- noodles were perfectly bouncy and generously coated with sauce (nothing "dry" about it at all!)- sauce was the ⭐: peanutty and flavourful, with a mild spicy kick- the spicy-sour radish and salty bean toppings were great punches of flavour and paired well with the rich sauceFor about $10, it also came with a canned pop drink for free, making it a great deal for delicious noodles!“
“I recently tried Heynoodles and opted for the Special Marinated Pork Ribs, accompanied by Salty Crispy Chicken and Pork and Chive Dumplings. The food was absolutely delightful, and what impressed me was not just the reasonable prices but also their commitment to customer satisfaction.Towards the end of my meal, I discovered they were willing to bring out more or substitute meat to ensure a happy and full experience. The portion sizes were generous, and I even had enough for a later meal. The in-house preparation of items like the dumplings added to the overall authenticity. With excellent customer service, reasonable prices, and delicious food, I wholeheartedly recommend Heynoodles and look forward to visiting again.“
“I tried the guabao combo with three different flavors that they offer: pork belly, braised beef shank and spicy chicken. I would highly recommend the spicy chicken gua bao for those who like spice, and for those who want a taste of everything GET THE COMBO!“
“Good quality food and great prices - we had the best seller beef noodle and comforting pork noodle soups. They were fresh, had great flavour, and you can tell the broth was cooked right (not watery or full of sodium). Service was relatively quick for our take-out order.“
“Great variety and surprisingly the food was decent for buffet style! Quality not as bad as some of the other ayce. The oysters were fresh, the Peking duck was very good for a buffet chain! The dough was thin. Some good Chinese desserts and herbal soup on the menu as well! Great decor and large place to sit. Good for celebrations! The workers at the buffet area are very polite and helpful. Two complaints: I asked for a medium rare Wagyu and was given a well done piece.2. Our server stopped removing the dishes off our table mid way into dinner.“
“Yu Grilled Fish House offers a unique dining experience centered around delectable grilled fish dishes. The menu boasts a variety of fresh fish options, expertly seasoned and grilled to perfection. Each dish is bursting with flavor, showcasing the restaurant's commitment to quality ingredients and culinary excellence. The cozy ambiance and attentive service add to the overall dining experience, making it a standout destination for seafood lovers. Whether you're seeking a casual meal with friends or a special night out, Yu Grilled Fish House delivers a memorable dining experience that will leave you craving more.“
“I thought this was "new" but apparently it.ooened 2 yrs ago! I used to eat at Dickens (different location) all the time with friends but discovered this location only today. We had some classics, baked chicken over fried and tomato sauce, Russian Borsch soup and roughy with a mushroom clam sauce and fries. Their fries are delicious. I could not stop eating them. The baked chicken rice was also really good. Generous portion sizing. Tomato sauce that isn't too ketchupy or tinny. And the rice is actually fried rice too. Cheese is included and doesn't come at a extra charge and the chicken is nicely pan fried...I really like how it's not deep fried. The mushroom clam sauce was decent and the soup was also good, just a tad on the sweet side. You also warm toasted dinner rolls with butter. Service was fast, super friendly and the space is very clean.“
“Although I'm a very novice hot-pot enthusiast, I thought I would leave a review for others looking to try something new and interesting. The server was welcoming and helpful since it was my 2 kids first time trying hot pot. They were excited to pick their own veggies, unique kinds and cuts of meat, and dry and fresh noodles (they're favourite thing to cook). I liked that many items were available on skewers which made cooking and eating nice and tidy. AYCE options not only included the items we could pick ourselves, but also choice of frozen meat and seafood, and sweet and savoury snack items like fries, fried buns, and crispy pork. There was more than enough for us to cook in our tomato broth that we left happy and content. I'd be happy to bring the family again since we enjoyed the experience.“
“Six stars if possible! This unassuming little shop off Hwy 7 only serves take out now but makes banger Chinese-Canto-HK food! They have the classic Hong Kong cafe dishes but also the classic Chinese dishes too. When we went, there were tons of orders lined up. One of the best kept secrets in Markham, hands down. Quick, affordable and delicious Chinese food on the East end of Markham!Highly recommend!“
“I’ve been coming here for forever. The food here is so good and everyone is always so nice. They always accommodate to any changes I need made to the dish. My favourites are the chow mein, chicken wings, Shanghai fried noodles and Szechuan beef. These are always my go to.“
“Came to this place for the first time but was doubtful because of the reviews but decided to try it with a friend. We ordered the Peking duck, Stir Beef w/ green onion & ginger and Cantonese Chow Mein. It was very tasty and definitely did not disappoint. Good portions so there will some to take home. The staff was wonderful and very nice.Markham is a good place to find food!“
“This restaurant locates inside the plaza kennedy and bur oak. They are only doing take out no dine in yet.My friend told me to try this place dishes. I ordered the spicy chicken and the fried pork chop with garlic and pepper. These dishes were so delicious. The pork chop dish was made very tasty, not greasy not dry. The order comes with soup and rice. I will check out the menu as it has lot of choices and order again. I recommend this place“
“An authentic place where ppl start lining up early before noon during weekends.Assorted The quality of congee is better than other congee place around the area, the ingredients are fresh.Dough stick rice The mixed sauces are HUGE plus, a must-try item.Fried noodles: 2.5/5 Nothing special at all, not the crispy type, not so flavourful, no gas of Wok, a can-skip item.“
“Everytime I go to Pacific mall to walk or hangout with friends, I would go to there just to order some fishballs. This place is really good. For reccomendations I would say: the red sausage, fishball and their beefballs. In addition to the beefballs, it is flavourful and I could savor every bite out of it. Overall a really good place for a snack.“
“Strongly recommend Baked Spaghetti Bolognese with Chicken Fillet with Cheese!!! Heavy flavour of tomato sauce is amazing. Also, one portion of the food is more than enough for one person.Secondly, Red Bean Shake is my favourite.Vegetarian options: Fried rice or noodles with mock meat.“
“This place is located inside the World on Yonge Foodcourt. Because of its location, it has deterred me from visiting for years. Parking is so difficult....you have to park underground and its a maze and difficult to figure out where to park so you can enter the right entrance. If you do plan on coming here, park at the Seasons Foodmart entrance and take the escalators up to the second floor of the mall. Hope this helps make things easier for others. Goobok is nestled alongside many other Korean restaurants in this foodcourt, which makes sense as we are in a predominately Korean area. I ordered boiled pork dumplings and steamed shrimp dumplings, and 4 of the twisted donuts (one of each that was available, plain, sugar, cheese and red bean). Once ordered i was given a buzzer and was told about 10 minutes. There isn't much to see or do at this mall, so i did some laps on the second floor to kill time. Once it was time to pick up I grabbed my food to take it home. I opened my dumplings when i got home and saw there was a bit of a mixup. I ordered steamed shrimp dumplings and i got pan fried shrimp dumplings. Turned out to be a good mix up, they were delicious. They seemed to have egg, shrimp and zucchini as the filling. Dumpling skin was thin and lightly panfried. Much thinner than Chinese pan fried dumplings. The boiled pork dumplings were smaller than i was expecting, maybe 1/2 to 2/3 the size i was expecting. But nonetheless was yummy. Looks like there was some chives in the pork filling too. Dumplings came with a soy sauce based dipping sauce and some pickled chayote on the side. Donuts were nice and fluffy, can't really complain about deep fried dough right? Pretty much anyone that buys food there buys their twisted donuts too it seems.“
“Goo! Goo! Amazing dumplings! Love the fresh in house making of them so you definitely know it’s authentic. We go here wayyy more often than I’d liked to admit but can’t help it.. so yummy! And we live quite far but make the trip always knowing we’ll be leaving satisfied.Fair pricing. Quick service. Can be loud, crowded but I mean can you blame them… also very typical Asian restaurant vibes“
“The best Taiwanese food in Toronto!! Whenever we miss Taiwanese food, we definitely will go there. Highly recommended to their popcorn fired chicken bento 鹹酥雞便當!They do offer different types of main dish, one bento will come with three other dishes which you can see and choose from there.Their bento pricing is super affordable and competitive. Please give it a shot if you haven’t tried it.“
“This is a tiny hole in the wall. I’m not overly fond of their Chinese food, but their other offerings are spectacular. I would highly recommend the thick noodles ! I go for the chicken. I literally order five orders and then freeze it and use it for lunches for a long time . it is delicious. Huge sizes and reasonably priced. The staff is very friendly. They always recognize me when I come in even though it’s 5-6 months between visits. Worth a visit. They do have tables inside but it’s not overly welcoming in terms of decor. Online orders are best.“
“The broth base is very flavourful if true that its boiled for 12 hrs before serving. Fast and friendly service. Large location around First Markham Place. The popcorn Chicken is also a highlight, properly fried and soft on the inside served with a mayo-based sauce. Their original noodle is served either with everything already cooking in the boiling hot broth or on the side, go for the former as the broth is very hot and it needs to cool down. Unlimited rice noodles if you need more. Comfort food for sure. Cash and debit only though.“
“This is a casual Chinese restaurant that serves up some very delicious dumplings! The dough is not too thick and has a good texture and chew, filling is seasoned to perfection. The hot and sour soup is hands down the best I have ever had. Check this place out if you are ever in the neighborhood.“
“The soup had a heavy taste of white pepper which I really enjoyed. Although it is a food court restaurant, the soup came PIPING HOT. The noodles are a cross between udon and rice noodles. So happy I found another soupy noodle place. It is a little hard to find seating, and the tables are on the dirtier end of spectrum. I recommend bringing your own wipes if you plan on eating in the food court!“
“I’m very happy today Thank you Miss Bing and Miss Annie for always answering my questions about food and drink. The iPad ordering experience is very good. I was embarrassed if I ordered the wrong dish, but it was solved in a second. I recommend the bamboo fungus and shrimp sliders. my favourite“
