We live nearby so picked it up and paid cash as you get a free menu item over a certain amount if you do this. I love their Rice & Peas served with Curried Goat or Curried Chicken or a meal of Ox Tail. I became allergic to milk , slightly, so I always go with their Rice & Peas which all meals. “My partner and I picked up a gluten-free dinner set (takeaway) and, oh my, it was delicious and the portions were huge. The set could easily feed 8 people. The general tao chicken and the chicken fried rice were my favourite parts of the dinner set. Finding a celiac-safe Chinese restaurant is rare. They’re able to make GF modifications to many dishes too - just ask! We will be back and I’m excited to try more items from the menu.“

“We ordered from them probably 3 years ago, and at first we didn’t like it food taste bland like there’s no flavor at all but we decided to try it again, we had this last saturday and it taste so damn good especially the chicken balls and general tso chicken, the chicken balls are so filling and extremely good, one of the best we had and the general tso, omg one of the best we had as well it has the crunch and super flavorful, and we order again today same food and the rice are good as well, definitely will be coming back this is our go to comfort food! ☺️🙌🙌🙌“

The service is always amazing, I never have to mention what I want because the lady there always knows once she sees me. Prices have never changed. 10/10 overall.“

I must say it’s a hidden gem in whitby, the boy at the front is very kind and helpful. Lastly say the chicken balls were my favorite they were so juicy and tender.“

“Went here for Caribana weekend on Saturday and it's was a vibe! We got real soca ppl in the house making it live and festive! The music was on point. It was exactly what we were looking for.

The kitchen was open late so we were able to get food as well. The food was also exactly what I wanted and everything was outside because they're renovating the space.

The server we had was super busy as with all the servers because the place was packed but she was attentive and had good energy.

This wasn't our first experience at this spot and have always had good time but this weekend during Caribana weekend hit the spot!

“It’s hit or miss, but when these guys decide to cook up a delicious meal, they deliver. My only feedback is that they need more flavour in their rice. Maybe a little oyster sauce and sesame oil? It’s very bland tasting.General Tao chicken (although I think they recently changed the coating), Singapore noodles (needs a little more curry but the shrimp is always cooked to perfection) and mushroom egg foo young are the best around.“

“I absolutely love Hakka Pavilion, been ordering from them for years now. They're always friendly, every dish I've tried is incredibly tasty (my go tos are the chili or Manchurian tofu/paneer, spicy green beans, masala paneer and any of the noodle dishes), there's plenty of veggie options, and the prices are very reasonable. You won't be disappointed eating here! 🙂“
