“I have had the total pleasure of eating Wok Chef's food many, many times. It is by far the best Chinese Food I have ever eaten ! Wok Chef's food is always fresh, delicious and they give you very good size orders. On top of that, they are very reasonably priced. The Family that own it and run it are also very nice. They always give great service with a smile ! I have gotten to know the Family over the years I have been going there and they are very fine, kind, hard working and they are always looking to please the customer. If you want great Chinese Food take out for a very good price then Wok Chef is definitely the place to go ! I highly recommend Wok Chef !“

“I had the pleasure of enjoying China Garden’s food at a wedding, and I was blown away. The roast pork was absolutely outstanding — perfectly seasoned, tender, and incredibly flavorful. It was one of the dishes everyone kept going back for and it disappeared quickly!

Other standout favourites included the General Tao Chicken, Singapore Noodles, Honey Garlic Ribs and Beef with Broccoli. Everything they make is crafted with care, great seasoning, and authentic flavour.

“We were looking for restaurants that we haven’t been and found this one after some googling. AI didn’t disappoint us. The cuisine is szechuan style and It is really good. We didn’t go spicy but all dishes are still very flavourful and tasty. The decor is unique and tables are nicely spaced out so you don’t feel cramped at all. Servers are friendly and attentive. They even packed our leftovers which you don’t see often in a Chinese restaurant. One matter to remember: they only accept Canadian debit card and cash. “Visited for lunch and tried the Fish Lover Noodles, Braised Pork Noodles, Braised Chicken Noodles, Spiced Chicken with Peanuts, and Yunnan Clay Pot Milk Tea.

The noodles were good, although I’m not sure if they are traditionally supposed to be this way. You could clearly tell that the main difference between the three noodle dishes was the protein you choose. Other than that, the broth, seasoning, and overall flavors tasted pretty much the same. I would have liked a little more variation between the different noodle options.

The Spiced Chicken with Peanuts and the Yunnan Clay Pot Milk Tea, however, were amazing! 😋

The interior is absolutely beautiful—you really feel like you’re in a flower land. 🌸🌺 The atmosphere is unique and makes the place worth visiting.

There were some things that looked to be little eggs from some bug on one of the vegetables as we finished the dish. It wasn’t a big deal, but the waitress apologized and compensated us for it. “Although the restaurant is small, it feels very warm and cozy. The rice noodles taste great, and the soup is rich and flavorful. They also offer some Yunnan snacks, such as beef pancakes, which I order every time. I often come here for a bowl of rice noodles after playing badminton nearby—it’s very satisfying and relaxing.“

Can also buy the raw ingredients for home hot pot. One drawback though is the use of takeout bowls and utensils even for dining in.“

Love their har gow, thai vermicelli chicken, beef flat rice noodles, spicy chicken, mango chicken, fried rice and spring/egg rolls. Also the owner is super sweet and packs chili oil for me every time, as she knows I love it with my food. :)“

“Order 2 different bowls of noodles for early dinner. Food taste good, except the beef in the noodle soup have a lot of fat which I don't personally like. Whatake this place standout is the washroom: there are signs that tell people to put toilet paper in the trash instead of flushing down the toilet. Imagine sitting on the toilet only to smell foul stench of stinky poop, and possibly flies because people follow their directions.“

“This cafe has been one of our family‘s favouite and we used to go there for almost everyday Saturday for dinner.

Its setting is not very large and consists of around 10+ tables of various sizes and they were placed very close to each other. It can hardly for 2 pesons to get through them at the same time. Like the traditional cafe, apart from the main menu on the table, the special dishes were posted up around all the walls to catch the customers‘ attention.

As observed, there is always a long queue of people waiting for the tables during the dinner time. Hence, it’s better to make reservation beforehand.

As referenced from its main menu, it offered a lot of meal choices with various cooking styles. This time, we ordered a dinner combo of 8 dishes including fried eggs with scallops, sweet and sour pork ribs, beef stews, chicken, fried fish, vegetables, etc. Soup and dessert were complimentary. Consistenty, all these dishes were well pepared and delcious.

Apart from the fact that the food is good, its servers were also polite, friendly and helpful. Though the cafe is somehow quite crowded, its food and service were highly satisfactory. One must definitely have a try.“

“My family and I used to eat at the Metro location very frequently, probably 10 years ago, but since then I became gluten intolerant (not celiac) and we haven’t been back since. For some reason this place popped into my mind today, and I looked at their menu and knew I could at least eat a few things there (minus the noodles and dumplings), and was content with my options so we tried it today, and I was so pleased that everything tasted very similar to how I remembered it to be 10 years ago!

We ordered the shredded cucumber & pork w/starch sheets (could use a bit more meat), the sliced pork belly w/garlic soy sauce (I think it used to have more cilantro on top), the sauced beef slices (same sauce & garlic as the pork belly, but no cilantro on top), vegetable & sliced pork noodle soup (we love their thick and chewy noodles, but it used to have more tomatoes and cucumbers), and the pork wonton (which comes in a delicious clear broth with little tiny shrimps and seaweed…there used to be a lot more seaweed, but the soup still tasted the same as 10 years ago).

We will definitely be going back to this spot to try some other more gluten friendly dishes like their vermicelli’s and other cold dishes. We also will check out the Metro location as well since it’s more convenient for us, but the Metro location is much smaller.“
