“Chat Bar has such a cool vibe for a late-night hangout! The energy is lively, fun, and perfect for catching up with friends over drinks and snacks. The food is great for sharing, the atmosphere feels young and relaxed, and it’s the kind of place where the night naturally keeps going. Service was friendly and quick, even later in the evening. Definitely a great spot when you want something casual, tasty, and full of late-night energy.“

“In general, the dishes I ordered was so delicious and Hong Kong styled. The portion is great and very valued for money. The steak was juicy. The curry chicken ( 咖哩雞) and salted chicken ( 鹽焗雞) was so tender.
The waitresses were so nice and helpful.
New City Restaurant has been put as our regular family visit. Yummy!“

“STILL our favourite place for Chinese Casserole Rice spot in Markham✨A MUST GET in our books here is their Olive Veg & Beef on Rice (Add a Raw Egg and thank me later!!). The Olive Veg adds so much umami to the tender Beef slices and Rice, mixed with Raw Egg and their Sweet Soy, so BOMB! Preserved Meat & Minced Pork had mixed Chinese Preserved Meats, all that on top of their Minced Pork Patty, it was lovely as well😋“

“Big Beef Bowl Hand-Pulled Noodle is such a long standing spot in Markham for a good reason.
Their lunch is tasty, fast, and inexpensive. $25 lunch combo for two people (Mon, Tues, and Thurs, opens at 11AM). It comes with 1 hot clay pot rice, 1 soup noodle, and a decent sized snack. A few choices for each of these items. Check the menu out. Honestly can't ask for more and this is why it gets jam packed easily at lunch time. Good news is that people are usually eat-and-go without sticking around for long. So even with the crowd, you might be able to get a seat in 10~15 min during the busiest time. Alternatively, quite a bit of people simply call-in for takeout's and Uber.
Awesome price-value, decent comfort food with great taste, jam-packed at lunch time. Not a bad choice.“

“It is my first time to visit this Hong Kong style cafe/restaurant although I know it has been there a long time. A good surprise that the food quality is excellent. Very tasty, not oily, even the drinks are very good, Hong Kong style milk tea and the iced lemon tea are the best among similar restaurants. The only limitation is due to the smaller space, the tables are close to each other. I have also heard that this place is very busy during the regular lunch and dinner time, so maybe you will have to wait for a table.
Parking: This is a busy plaza especially on weekends, will take some time to find a parking spot“

“Tang Dynasty Best Food has been one of our family’s favourite spots for many years. The previous owner retired a few years ago and sold the business, but the new boss lady who runs it now is incredibly kind, hardworking, and welcoming. She always greets customers with a smile, and sometimes her children help out too, which adds to the warm, family-run atmosphere.
This food stall is located inside the food court at New Kennedy Square, so it is ideal for quick meals or takeout. Personally, I prefer to bring the food home to enjoy in peace, since the food court can get lively with people chatting, playing Chinese checkers, and the occasional group of older folks talking loudly. If you do not mind the noise, it has a lot of character, but takeout is definitely the more comfortable option.
The restaurant used to advertise that it was under a Hong Kong executive chef, which explained why the food was always authentic and rich in flavour. Even though that chef may not be there anymore, the food remains delicious and consistent. I believe they are still using the old menu, but keep in mind that prices have increased slightly because of inflation and higher food costs, which is completely understandable.
Our go-to dishes are braised tofu with fish (豆腐焖鱼) and half a free-range chicken (半只走地鸡). The tofu is silky and savoury, the fish is tender and fresh, and the chicken is juicy with crispy golden skin. For about twenty-five dollars, the meal easily feeds a family of three and always leaves us satisfied.
They also offer combos for two, three, and four people, which are all very affordable. Most of them are under fifty dollars including tax. The portions are generous, and it is a great deal for families or small groups. Sometimes when we ordered larger meals or spent over fifty dollars, we even received a complimentary red bean crispy pancake, which was a sweet and thoughtful gesture.
They advertise that they do not use MSG, but like most Chinese restaurants, there is likely some MSG or sodium used to enhance the flavours. That is what makes the food so tasty, although it can be a bit salty at times. I hope they can be more transparent about that or reduce the amount slightly in the future.
The portions have become a little smaller compared to before, but when we mentioned it to the boss lady, she was very understanding and explained that other customers had also shared the same feedback. Prices have gone up slightly, but that is expected given the current cost of living.
It is also worth noting that this place is best for cash payments, since small local businesses like this usually prefer cash, and it makes the checkout process faster and smoother.
Overall, I would generously give Tang Dynasty Best Food 4.5 out of 5 stars because they truly deserve it. We have tried many Chinese food places across Markham and the Greater Toronto Area, but this one is close to home and never disappoints. The food is flavourful, the prices are fair, and the service is always kind. It is one of those comforting, reliable places that we will continue to return to every week. 😊“

“This is truly one of the best restaurants in Markham. I would honestly rate it a 6 out of 5 for authentic Cantonese cuisine.
We tried their spicy honey oyster, black bean sauce clam, and the chenpi garlic spare ribs. All of them are absolutely outstanding from start to finish.
Next was the sweet and sour pork, which had perfectly crispy edges and a nice balance of sweetness, especially with the diced pineapple. The meal ended with the beef fried rice and the taste was also impressive.
A very satisfying dinner. Worth the wait. Highly recommended!“

“I really don't understand why people complain about their service. I’m not a regular customer and only go there once in a long while, yet I’ve never had a bad experience. The staff have always been very nice to me.
Regarding the 12% service charge, I think it’s fair for the level of service they provide. The mandatory service charge probably exists because of too many cheap customers. If you’re complaining about it, you might be one of them.
The only real issue I have is the fruit flies, they keep bothering us and ruining the dining experience.“

“My husband and I have been trying for many years to come to 369 cos we love Shanghainese food. Today e finally made it there! And even though we only ordered two dishes, the fried pork chop with thick Shanghai noodles in soup (bok choy too in the soup)👍 and the new addition to their menu, translation from Chinese was fennel dumplings but it was much smaller freshly made parsley and pork dumplings. I think they were steamed and then pan fried. Delicious. You can tell it was all made with love. Going back again and bringing family too so we can try more.“

“We recently visited Flower & Horse in Spring and had a wonderful dining experience. The restaurant specializes in Crossing the Bridge Noodles, and it's easy to see why they're known for it. The broth was rich, flavorful, and full of umami, while the noodles had the perfect texture and remained pleasantly bouncy throughout the meal.
What impressed us most was that the quality extended beyond the signature noodles. The side dishes were equally delicious and clearly prepared with care. You can tell this is a family-owned restaurant that takes pride in bringing authentic hometown flavors to Canada.
We also highly recommend trying the traditional clay pot milk tea. It was fragrant, comforting, and paired perfectly with the meal.
The portions were generous, the food was satisfying, and the service was warm and welcoming. We'll definitely be back and would recommend Flower & Horse in Spring to anyone looking for authentic and comforting Yunnan-style cuisine.“
