“Went out for a nice dinner with my husband. The oysters and the dessert were the best things on the menu. The steak was good and the lamb was also good but im not a fan of lamb and my husband has made better steak at home (he is a pro). I wojld recommend it for their oysters, they have a variety and serve it so nicely with fresh lemons, on a bed of ice with hirse radish and hot sauce. Service was quick and professional. Overall we enjoyed our night out.“

“I really don't understand why people complain about their service. I’m not a regular customer and only go there once in a long while, yet I’ve never had a bad experience. The staff have always been very nice to me.
Regarding the 12% service charge, I think it’s fair for the level of service they provide. The mandatory service charge probably exists because of too many cheap customers. If you’re complaining about it, you might be one of them.
The only real issue I have is the fruit flies, they keep bothering us and ruining the dining experience.“

“I was there last night to celebrate a special birthday for my friend. Service was great and overall a good experience. I was,however, disappointed that they didn’t seem to be aware that it was her birthday even tho I made a point of telling them that when I made the reservation. She is not a dessert eater but I still thought it would have made it more special if they had surprised her with a bd cake of some sort (I know this is done as have had it done for myself). I tried to hint to the waiters a couple of times that it was a birthday and was not acknowledged until the end when they said they weren’t aware it was her bd and could they bring her a dessert. I knew she would decline but would have been more meaningful if they were aware of the reservation details. Overall the meal was good. Caesar salad was excellent but much too large for 2 people - would serve 3-4 people who were having main course. I ordered beef tenderloin that was described as blue cheese crusted with a fig sauce - there was 2 large dollops of blue cheese on top of steak which is not “crusted” in my opinion and fig sauce was too sweet for my taste (perhaps my fault that I didn’t realize how sweet figs were). I enjoyed the plain leftover steak today much more than original meal. She had prime rib, ladies cut which was huge and said it was delicious as well as the escargot starter which she also enjoyed.“

“I've been to Yu Seafood Yorkdale several times. An upscaled restaurant near all the high-end retailers. I bought my nephew here during his business trip and everything is good, and the bill was paid without going through the details. Not until I got home and found out one of the dishes was missed out from the dinner set for six. I called the restaurant the next day and the general manager Neilson responded promptly. It could be a human error and promised to compensate on my next visit. Having said that Yu is a great place to enjoy dinner or lunch despite of the mistake they have made on my last visit.“

“Cute Korean restaurant about 3-5 min walk from Finch Subway station. Tip: exit through the passenger pickup area of Finch station if you're walking, that's the closest exit to the restaurant. I came here specifically to try their Ganjang Gejang (raw blue crab marinated in soy sauce), it seems that they might be the only restaurant that serves this dish in Toronto, that I could find and know of. There is a very slight fishy smell when I sniffed it, which is expected since it's raw crab, but when I was eating it, I didn't find it fishy at all, it was really delicious. The crab roe was soft and rich, the meat was smooth and fresh, everything went really well with the rice. I can see why this dish is called a rice thief now. I was really tempted to order another bowl of rice but on account of my diet I stopped myself. I would definitely try this dish again. I also ordered the kimchi stew and my friend got a spicy beef soup. Although it was not as outstanding as the Ganjang Gejang, Both were delicious and portions were good. The side dishes were good as well. Not sure if there's free refills or not since we didn't ask for any. The service was good, it's a smaller shop, seems like it's family owned. People were doing multi jobs so if you wanted more tea or something you have to ask them, they do really try to check up you though and would walk around once in awhile to refill your tea and see how you're doing. Overall a good dining experience, I would come back to try their raw crab. However if I was just going out for Korean food then I may not specifically go out of my way to come here since although the other dishes were good, it's not super outstanding. Aside from indoor dining they also have outdoor dining, there's a big white tent outside, they provides pretty good shelter, there's also hanging lights out there, really cute set up. We dined inside though since it was windy.“

Rude staff and an even more rude owner... don't bother complaining about anything because you're just going to get cussed at... absolutely appalling behavior... the usual crowd are loud obnoxious and seriously over their limits. I've witnessed tables and chairs falling all over the place on many occasions because people are way too intoxicated to think. The owner acts like he's untouchable and says things like " you're in a bar what do you expect " . I expect to be treated as a paying customer. Never going there again. also... one of the servers is literally always drunk out of her mind... my very first visit she was crying about her ex... and almost every time I ordered wings SHE GOT MY ORDER WRONG....over and over again!! let's just say ive had many free wings and stuff from her as an apology... I gave them a chance. several actually. but after that conversation with the owner.... im done. DO NOT RECOMMENDED!!!!“

“I had the honour and pleasure of performing Greek Bouzouki a second time at Floga for a client's baptism. As the artist and sound curator of the event, I will often be asked to eat with the family, which is tricky because I'm usually performing table side while the guests enjoy the entertainment! Today I was forced to take the break (classic Greek hospitality!) and had a wonderful meal. I was served 3 shrimp and an absolutely perfect medium tenderloin with vegetables. I'm not usually a fan of roasted potatoes but these were done well, I cleared the plate. Food was great and so was the service. Floga had a second event downstairs and the rest of the indoor dining spaces were full, it was easily 170 people maybe more. Food was flying out of that kitchen perfect. Not an easy task. “Came in here after a long day at the Toronto Zoo and was so pleasantly surprised! This is a hidden gem of Filipino food! Prices are very reasonable and the food is very very amazing!!! Can’t say enough about the flavours!! Our server, Racquel, was super personable, knowledgeable, and knew how much food we needed for our party. Can’t recommend this restaurant enough. :)“

“Got the 10 pc mokutan set which was pretty good. I don’t normally eat mushrooms but the grilled shiitake mushroom was really good. Service was very good from both waitresses and food came pretty fast. I liked the booth seating. The free matcha ice cream was u fortunately super disappointing.“

“My son had a minor hand surgery recently, and to cheer him up and spend some quality time together, I decided to take him to this restaurant. It did not disappoint!

From the moment we walked in, the service was exceptional. I’m a stickler for great service, and this restaurant truly knows how to make the entire dining experience special.

Since I was there with my 8-year-old son, our server kindly offered to make him a mocktail that still came with the dramatic dry ice fog effect. That was such a highlight for him, and the drink itself was absolutely delicious.

We ordered the cheese balls, pani puri, butter chicken, aloo gobi, and garlic naan. Every single dish was outstanding—so much so that my son gave the meal an 11/10!

For dessert, we had the gulab jamun, which was presented tableside. It was another fun experience that made the evening even more memorable for my son.

This restaurant checked every box: incredible service, amazing food, a fantastic atmosphere, and an overall dining experience that exceeded our expectations.

A very special thank you to our waiter, Parvinder (I hope I spelled that correctly), who was so kind, thoughtful, and courteous throughout the evening. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for giving my son and me such a wonderful night at a time when he really needed something to smile about.

“Haven’t had fish & chips in a long time and the folks at this shop satisfied my cravings. Found in a small, unassuming plaza, this family-owned business is slinging out perfectly fried fish and spuds.

The folks who run this establishment are very welcoming and make you feel at home. The atmosphere here is nostalgic. It feels like I’m in my family’s kitchen from my childhood.

I ordered the halibut and chips for myself, got cod and chips for my brother, and we shared a calamari and gravy. Food was pretty good. Fish tasted buttery and delicate. Batter was thin, crispy, and flavourful. NOT overly greasy, major news! Loved the thick cut fries. The gravy really took them to the next level. Portion sizes are pretty big and these prices are insanely reasonable!

I highly recommend McCowan Fish & Chips; support small businesses! One if my favourite spots in Scarbs now. I will be back!“
