“What’s amazing isn’t solely the Dim Sum, as they offer a ton of wok-fried dishes at a reasonable sum that will leave you stuffed and then some. Tender chunks of beef are stir-fried in a savory Maggi sauce, accompanied by crunchy candied walnuts that bring a sweet contrast with crisp broccoli. The Lychee Sweet and Sour Pork didn’t see much showtime – quickly joining the clean plate club. The sauce is well-balanced with sweetness, whispers of rose wine and subtle herbal notes. The lychee adds bursts of fruit, while crisp bell peppers and red onions maintain crunch. With a perfect fat-to-meat ratio, the juicy, tender chunks of pork wear a sauce-laden batter that clings to all of the flavour. The eel is moist, flaky, and subtly umami, with its crisp, airy batter dusted with chili salt and pepper and garnished with puffed mung bean noodles. Meanwhile, the fried oysters balanced sweet and savory perfectly – the batter coating the six plump oysters with a sweet, peppery syrup without overwhelming their natural flavours.

Continuing on where I wish I could call my house, the steamed lobster could’ve used less cooking time, but undeniably fresh nonetheless. For diet-conscious folks, kabocha is rendered tender and creamy under a veil of savory salted egg yolk. The crisp exterior creates a delightful balance of textures and flavours, allowing you to eat more meat guilt-free. They nailed my favourite dim sum dish, each plump dumpling using a thin wrapper to contain a crisp and bouncy shrimp filling. The siu mai is clean, juicy, and salivating porky, accented with pieces of sweet shrimp, earthy mushrooms, and tobiko. You absolutely need to end with their honeycomb cake, as it’ll leave you lingering feelings in its wake. Remarkably airy and spongy, each bite springs back immediately, the molasses aroma permeating through your palate, and not too sweet.“

“We had the sauerkraut fish, chicken wings, fried rice, potato salad, and cucumber salad. The fish, chicken wings, and fried rice were all really good, and the service was excellent. The only downside was that both salads were a little too oily for our liking. Other than that, everything was great, and we really enjoyed our meal.“

“I was there last night to celebrate a special birthday for my friend. Service was great and overall a good experience. I was,however, disappointed that they didn’t seem to be aware that it was her birthday even tho I made a point of telling them that when I made the reservation. She is not a dessert eater but I still thought it would have made it more special if they had surprised her with a bd cake of some sort (I know this is done as have had it done for myself). I tried to hint to the waiters a couple of times that it was a birthday and was not acknowledged until the end when they said they weren’t aware it was her bd and could they bring her a dessert. I knew she would decline but would have been more meaningful if they were aware of the reservation details. Overall the meal was good. Caesar salad was excellent but much too large for 2 people - would serve 3-4 people who were having main course. I ordered beef tenderloin that was described as blue cheese crusted with a fig sauce - there was 2 large dollops of blue cheese on top of steak which is not “crusted” in my opinion and fig sauce was too sweet for my taste (perhaps my fault that I didn’t realize how sweet figs were). I enjoyed the plain leftover steak today much more than original meal. She had prime rib, ladies cut which was huge and said it was delicious as well as the escargot starter which she also enjoyed.“

“I've been to Yu Seafood Yorkdale several times. An upscaled restaurant near all the high-end retailers. I bought my nephew here during his business trip and everything is good, and the bill was paid without going through the details. Not until I got home and found out one of the dishes was missed out from the dinner set for six. I called the restaurant the next day and the general manager Neilson responded promptly. It could be a human error and promised to compensate on my next visit. Having said that Yu is a great place to enjoy dinner or lunch despite of the mistake they have made on my last visit.“

“I went there to try the AYCE hot pot on an early Friday dinner (5:30), and I've got seated right away! The AYCE menu was quite extensive and all the food came out really fresh! There are lots of choices for sauces, also have extensive dessert menu including the Thai mango sticky rice, which all taste good! The servers took the time and effort in explaining how the AYCE work! Very helpful and friendly! Will come back to try the a la carte menu next time! Like the whole dinner experience!“

“Cute Korean restaurant about 3-5 min walk from Finch Subway station. Tip: exit through the passenger pickup area of Finch station if you're walking, that's the closest exit to the restaurant. I came here specifically to try their Ganjang Gejang (raw blue crab marinated in soy sauce), it seems that they might be the only restaurant that serves this dish in Toronto, that I could find and know of. There is a very slight fishy smell when I sniffed it, which is expected since it's raw crab, but when I was eating it, I didn't find it fishy at all, it was really delicious. The crab roe was soft and rich, the meat was smooth and fresh, everything went really well with the rice. I can see why this dish is called a rice thief now. I was really tempted to order another bowl of rice but on account of my diet I stopped myself. I would definitely try this dish again. I also ordered the kimchi stew and my friend got a spicy beef soup. Although it was not as outstanding as the Ganjang Gejang, Both were delicious and portions were good. The side dishes were good as well. Not sure if there's free refills or not since we didn't ask for any. The service was good, it's a smaller shop, seems like it's family owned. People were doing multi jobs so if you wanted more tea or something you have to ask them, they do really try to check up you though and would walk around once in awhile to refill your tea and see how you're doing. Overall a good dining experience, I would come back to try their raw crab. However if I was just going out for Korean food then I may not specifically go out of my way to come here since although the other dishes were good, it's not super outstanding. Aside from indoor dining they also have outdoor dining, there's a big white tent outside, they provides pretty good shelter, there's also hanging lights out there, really cute set up. We dined inside though since it was windy.“

Rude staff and an even more rude owner... don't bother complaining about anything because you're just going to get cussed at... absolutely appalling behavior... the usual crowd are loud obnoxious and seriously over their limits. I've witnessed tables and chairs falling all over the place on many occasions because people are way too intoxicated to think. The owner acts like he's untouchable and says things like " you're in a bar what do you expect " . I expect to be treated as a paying customer. Never going there again. also... one of the servers is literally always drunk out of her mind... my very first visit she was crying about her ex... and almost every time I ordered wings SHE GOT MY ORDER WRONG....over and over again!! let's just say ive had many free wings and stuff from her as an apology... “This was the most phenomenal 5 star Indian restaurant that I have been to in Canada. My family and I were coming from The United States of America and we came to this restaurant with our family members that lived in Canada and as soon as we went in, the interior was so clean and luxurious. Even the bathrooms looked so clean. I was also very impressed by the glowing lights on the serving cart and the table lamps and you can make them light or dim which was very cool. The drinks were refreshing, the Paneer appetizers were delicious, and the main was absolutely mind blowing. It was like you got your food served on a golden dish. The Paneer Butter Masala was nice, the Kaju curry was flavorful, and the hospitality was amazing! I unfortunately have to go back to my home in The United States but I can't wait to come back to this restaurant when I come back to Canada!“

Completely the same as another well known classic Scarborough fish and chips spot (which was closed) so we tried this! The service was great. We called in advance and picked it up.
