“Oh my goodness!! If I could give more stars I would. The Haddock was absolutely delicious! It was so fresh and piping hot. The fish was cooked perfectly. The French fries were also piping hot. The gravy was good. It would have been nice to serve such delicious fish with homemade Tatar Sauce but it was not. Just packets. I think my head would have blown off had it been homemade. That’s how delicious it was. Regardless of packaged Tatar Sauce, it was still over the top- good to eat.“

“This place has the best fish & chips, without a doubt. We ordered the hake (5 oz) and haddock (6 oz), which came with chips and coleslaw. And we loved the homemade tartar sauce! But if you don’t want fish, there are other options on the menu. The restaurant is small but quaint with lots of seating. For lunch on a Saturday, we managed to find a parking spot and did not have to wait to be seated. The service was very friendly and the atmosphere had good vibes. Would definitely come back!“

“Second visit to this restaurant. We ordered pho and mango milkshakes to go! Tried the grilled pork wraps last time. Everything was super delicious, pho broth flavourful and size was well-portioned. Mango milkshake tasted delightful and very creamy. Ambience is nice and warm, and servers are very friendly.“

“Well what a great lunch we just had. A delicious dozen East coast oysters. French Kiss and Lucky Lime. plump and tasty with a smack of brine. Very nice selection of condiments. Two glasses of super tasty French Chablis followed up by Haddock tacos and the Blackened haddock burger. delicious fries to compliment the dish. “This place is amazing. Had the OG fish and chips and cauliflower wings. They definitely know their batter! Light, fluffy, yet delightfully crispy. Also highly recommend their mussels and clams in garlic butter wine sauce. And for the price, it was some of the better seafood we’ve had in the city. Definitely earned multiple repeat visits in the future.“

“Food was decent, we got the sukiyaki and beef bone broth, they were both a bit too salty for my preference and had to keep chugging water. The meat quality was good, and overall quality of the food was good. I felt that the sauce bar and utensils could have been cleaner, and dispensable chopsticks should be used. Their chopsticks had stains as it was wood and didn't feel thay sanitary.

Only 1 server was around but the restaurant was very empty on a thurs night. The ice cream at the end was good.“

“What a hidden gem!!!! We googled before we went and decided to order the Crab cakes, calamari, zee Cesar salad, ahi tuna and lobster roll. Food exceeded our expectations, I certainly had to resist the urge to lick the plate on the zee salad and Ahi tuna both! A delightful array of flavours that had me dancing in my seat! Our servers were beyond amazing, good service is hard to find these days but Randy and Chris had our experience feeling Michelin quality! Highly recommend!“

“Haven’t been to Red Lobster in a while, but took the kids there after the Jays game. Honestly, the staff were amazing. They were really good with the kids and had so much patience, probably more patience than me loll
I actually really like seeing the manager walking around and helping out. He even showed the kids the lobster, which they thought was cool.

“I've been to Yu Seafood Yorkdale several times. An upscaled restaurant near all the high-end retailers. I bought my nephew here during his business trip and everything is good, and the bill was paid without going through the details. Not until I got home and found out one of the dishes was missed out from the dinner set for six. I called the restaurant the next day and the general manager Neilson responded promptly. It could be a human error and promised to compensate on my next visit. Having said that Yu is a great place to enjoy dinner or lunch despite of the mistake they have made on my last visit.“

“Jonny the waiter was not only attentive, but also so catering to the needs of our group. He made sure our drinks were always topped up during the live band also while caring for a full out door patio. Matty in the back who carried out my steak did an incredible job not only was it cooked to satisfactory but it was above and beyond what my expectations were I had the best experience I could have asked for and would recommend to anyone i possibly could.

“I went there to try the AYCE hot pot on an early Friday dinner (5:30), and I've got seated right away! The AYCE menu was quite extensive and all the food came out really fresh! There are lots of choices for sauces, also have extensive dessert menu including the Thai mango sticky rice, which all taste good! The servers took the time and effort in explaining how the AYCE work! Very helpful and friendly! Will come back to try the a la carte menu next time! Like the whole dinner experience!“

“Just when you think they can't raise their game any higher Hy's manages to find a way. We attended the Calgary locations 10th Anniversary Celebration on Sept 26th and it was spectacular. The event was flawlessly organized and orchestrated by the Hy's team, the food was next level even by Hy's standards and the service exceeded anything we have experienced anywhere in North America even in the finest hotels. Bryant Olender added a classic background with piano and vocal stylings that perfectly suited the atmosphere. It was certainly the best evening we have at Hy's over the last decade, and I don't think I'm overstating it to say it was a "Once in a Lifetime" experience. A huge thankyou to Barb and the entire Hy's team!“
