“Oh my goodness!! If I could give more stars I would. The Haddock was absolutely delicious! It was so fresh and piping hot. The fish was cooked perfectly. The French fries were also piping hot. The gravy was good. It would have been nice to serve such delicious fish with homemade Tatar Sauce but it was not. Just packets. I think my head would have blown off had it been homemade. That’s how delicious it was. Regardless of packaged Tatar Sauce, it was still over the top- good to eat.“

“We recently visited The Olde Yorke and had a solid, classic fish and chips experience. The space has a cozy, traditional pub feel with a straightforward, no-frills atmosphere and very generous portions.

The fish and chips are clearly the highlight. The batter was golden and crisp, and the portion size is substantial. We chose the halibut, which is naturally more dense, so if you prefer a lighter, flakier texture, the cod would likely be the better option.

We also tried the clam chowder, which leaned slightly too fishy for our preference. The coleslaw was decent, but fairly simple and could have used a bit more flavour to stand out.

While not everything fully impressed, the overall meal still delivers on a traditional, comforting fish and chips experience.

Service was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere felt relaxed and welcoming throughout.

“I stumbled upon this and decided to go in. First, they have parking right at the restaurant, which is a nice perk. Second, the atmosphere and decor of the restaurant was tastefully done. Typically pho restaurants are minimalist at best. Third, the staff member greeted me politely and was very attentive while I was there.

When I received my food it was presented beautifully. Again, I was not expecting this kind of presentation at a pho restaurant. The most important part, is the food tasted great and the portion size was quite large. I would definitely go back.“

The staff were very courteous, and very hospitable and the food was excellent. A wonderful menu and all the food we had was top class. I would highly recommend this restaurant. “Well what a great lunch we just had. A delicious dozen East coast oysters. French Kiss and Lucky Lime. plump and tasty with a smack of brine. Very nice selection of condiments. Two glasses of super tasty French Chablis followed up by Haddock tacos and the Blackened haddock burger. delicious fries to compliment the dish. Over the years, Chad has become a friend, and one of our favourite things about coming here is chatting with him. He always makes everyone feel welcome. His family runs the kitchen, and they’re equally wonderful.

The food is consistently amazing. As someone with celiac disease, it means so much to have a place where I feel safe eating without worrying.

We’ve celebrated so many wonderful nights here, including a private birthday party, and every experience has been fantastic.The vibe is perfect, and the music is always great. Anglr is one of our absolute favourite spots in the city, and I highly recommend it to everyone.“

“We are new locals and have been here three times in the past month. The food is excellent. The service staff is professional yet casual, the way I like it. The oysters are very fresh and rotate pretty frequently.

I also really like the fairness when it comes to their pricing for wine, they are not gouging the customer like most restaurants in Toronto.

It's nice that they also have quite a few extra things they give you (free of charge) in your dish like vegetables, rice, and large-sized portions of meat. The variety of options they have with their fish options are amazing, some with pumpkin-flavoured items and whatnot. Would definitely recommend! Only downside might be that this place is quite popular so there can be long wait times (as seating is limited) and quite a bit of noise (at the time of writing, on most days the restaurant is filled with a lot of people who can be quite disruptive to a happy meal).“

We visited for a weekday dinner and ordered the “Premium Set AYCE” and enjoyed the delicious hot pot and the vibes.

He made sure our drinks were always topped up during the live band also while caring for a full out door patio.
