“I'm very pleased and happy that I ordered a mouth watering 😋 delicacy of fish and chips for my mother and I at this prestigious restaurant!!! I appreciate firstly and foremostly the way everything was packed so neatly, clean and tidy, edible and safely... Secondly, I was surprised to find that the portions were heavily packed and generous 😇 in the offerings 🫴... Mom and I ate half of our fish and chips each, the haddock with the fries, coleslaw and tarter sauce... I also very much appreciate the cutlery, stapled paperbag marked (8lbs) knowing 😄 👌 😉 I'm getting more than enough and for the Uber driver to handle with care due to the weight which he did... The meal was special, tasty, tantalizing our taste buds, while we watched a Michael Jackson documentary... A spectacular feast... Could serve 4 persons instead of 2 or like mom and I we will have the rest tomorrow again for dinner 🍽 😋...

“We recently visited The Olde Yorke and had a solid, classic fish and chips experience. The space has a cozy, traditional pub feel with a straightforward, no-frills atmosphere and very generous portions.

The fish and chips are clearly the highlight. The batter was golden and crisp, and the portion size is substantial. We chose the halibut, which is naturally more dense, so if you prefer a lighter, flakier texture, the cod would likely be the better option.

We also tried the clam chowder, which leaned slightly too fishy for our preference. The coleslaw was decent, but fairly simple and could have used a bit more flavour to stand out.

While not everything fully impressed, the overall meal still delivers on a traditional, comforting fish and chips experience.

Service was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere felt relaxed and welcoming throughout.

“My wife is Persian and we live in Scotland. We are visiting family here and we went to the Deedar restaurant for dinner. The staff were very courteous, and very hospitable and the food was excellent. A wonderful menu and all the food we had was top class. I would highly recommend this restaurant. “Well what a great lunch we just had. A delicious dozen East coast oysters. French Kiss and Lucky Lime. plump and tasty with a smack of brine. Very nice selection of condiments. Two glasses of super tasty French Chablis followed up by Haddock tacos and the Blackened haddock burger. delicious fries to compliment the dish. It's nice that they also have quite a few extra things they give you (free of charge) in your dish like vegetables, rice, and large-sized portions of meat. The variety of options they have with their fish options are amazing, some with pumpkin-flavoured items and whatnot. Would definitely recommend! Only downside might be that this place is quite popular so there can be long wait times (as seating is limited) and quite a bit of noise (at the time of writing, on most days the restaurant is filled with a lot of people who can be quite disruptive to a happy meal).“

“Jonny the waiter was not only attentive, but also so catering to the needs of our group. He made sure our drinks were always topped up during the live band also while caring for a full out door patio. Matty in the back who carried out my steak did an incredible job not only was it cooked to satisfactory but it was above and beyond what my expectations were I had the best experience I could have asked for and would recommend to anyone i possibly could.

“First time at this restaurant for a pre theatre dinner. It won't be our last! The Mervish fixe 3 course dinner is a good deal and everything was delicious, from the goat cheese crostini to the perfectly medium rare steak to the lightest cheesecake I've ever tasted. Ditto the oysters and the bison pasta, very tasty. Both the manager and our server Bee were very attentive and friendly making for a delightful start to our evening. And yes, The Book of Mormon was hilarious as the manager had assured us“

“We celebrated our son’s 25th birthday at Fishman’s Lobster House (our 5th visit) and had another excellent experience. The server was extremely helpful in recommending the right combo for our two tables, making the ordering process easy and stress-free. The serving staff and management were kind, patient, and attentive throughout.

We were pleasantly surprised by the birthday discount, and truly appreciated management catching and returning an overpayment I had made — an honest and thoughtful gesture.

The new steak addition was perfectly prepared and delicious. To make the celebration even more special, they played Happy Birthday over the speakers and offered to help cut and serve the cake. Everyone left full and satisfied.
