“We arrived at about 12:30 were greeted by a friendly young lady and seated right away..Sydney Peel was the manager that made sure our table was changed to make it more suitable for us..she was friendly knowledgeable and very professional always with a beautiful smile! Our server was (Mat) or Mathew he was super..served us with a smile and circled back several times to make sure we were happy or did we need anything more..great service from everyone..we loved our lunch! The staff is outstanding here and food is awesome! Thank you!!“

“We recently visited The Olde Yorke and had a solid, classic fish and chips experience. The space has a cozy, traditional pub feel with a straightforward, no-frills atmosphere and very generous portions.

The fish and chips are clearly the highlight. The batter was golden and crisp, and the portion size is substantial. We chose the halibut, which is naturally more dense, so if you prefer a lighter, flakier texture, the cod would likely be the better option.

We also tried the clam chowder, which leaned slightly too fishy for our preference. The coleslaw was decent, but fairly simple and could have used a bit more flavour to stand out.

While not everything fully impressed, the overall meal still delivers on a traditional, comforting fish and chips experience.

Service was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere felt relaxed and welcoming throughout.

“I had my first visit yesterday at Donlands Diner in East York for brunch and it was honestly such an amazing experience. The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the grilled cheese with tomato and bacon with fries, and my partner ordered a BLT with fries. Everything came out fast, fresh, and tasted incredible.
The waitress Tina was such an amazing hostess — so kind, friendly, and welcoming. She made us feel like family from the moment we walked in and talked to us like we had known each other for years. The whole experience felt so warm and genuine.
The diner has such a beautiful vibe with 50s and 60s themed music playing, which made the atmosphere even more special. Service was seamless from start to finish and we left super happy. Definitely one of the best brunch experiences I’ve had and I’ll absolutely be coming back!“

“We went to this cafe after our pedia appointment because the smell of the food was so good that it attracted us so we went in and try their food. They serve good food here. I had the penne pasta in tomato sauce with beef and it came with side of salad which i also liked. I also ordered their buttered chicken to go and it didnt disappoint, it came with potato and rice. Chicken was big and the potato and sauce of butter chicken taste so good.“

“The food is good, but nothing too special. I do like the wide variety of menu choices, with lots of different pizzas, toppings, and styles to choose from. The staff is friendly and the service is pleasant. There isn’t much indoor seating, with only two benches available, so it’s better for takeout than dining in. The drink selection is also fairly limited, mostly consisting of soft drinks.“

“I went for a quick meal in mid-afternoon. I had the lamb and chicken combo which came with a side of green salad and rice. I chose not to have the rice. To my surprise I was I was charged less than what the price stated on the menu. The chicken and the lamb were both tender and spiced just right. I was very impressed by the quality of the food - fresh, clean and very tasty. For a quick and inexpensive meal, I highly recommend Afghan Cuisine on Overlea Blvd.“

“Lived in the neighborhood for 40 years and just found this little gem hidden away, I never knew it was there after all these years. Mandarin at Yonge and Eglinton just closed down so finding this place couldn't have come at a better time. Although I wish I had known about it long before now.“

I told our waitress and they brought me a new one and It's same thing, either they don't communicate with the kitchen or the people who cook the pancakes just don't care. “I love this place mainly because they sometimes have the largest fried chicken thighs! It’s also Halal, crispy and freshly made.

It’s a hidden gem and a small place with some tables and warm neighbourhood vibe. When I’m in the area I usually get the 2 mixed fried chicken $5.99 (price as of June 2026).

The owner is a nice, older man and service is usually fast when it’s not busy. Only negative is the leftover chicken reheated next day from fridge unfortunately tastes bland. Popeyes Chicken is still tasty when reheated the next day.“

“I can’t say enough about how well made Pizza Nova’s pizza is compared to other spots in the area. It was clearly made fresh — not cold, not greasy, just warm and really satisfying even by the time we got it home.

Out of all the pizza places around the neighborhood, this one really stood out. We’ve actually decided to make it our go-to for Friday nights, especially grabbing a party-size pizza to share.“

“I stumbled upon this and decided to go in. First, they have parking right at the restaurant, which is a nice perk. Second, the atmosphere and decor of the restaurant was tastefully done. Typically pho restaurants are minimalist at best. Third, the staff member greeted me politely and was very attentive while I was there.

When I received my food it was presented beautifully. Again, I was not expecting this kind of presentation at a pho restaurant. The most important part, is the food tasted great and the portion size was quite large. I would definitely go back.“

“Back in the day from 2003-2013, I used to work at the hospital around the corner. This place was a staple for me. Very generous pies and an even nicer middle eastern man (possibly Iranian) who was the owner. Price point was always dynamite. Drove by the other day and it brought back memories.“

“I went there on a Friday and Saturday around 9:15 PM. On Friday the burger patty took longer to prepare than on Saturday. I would say the burger patty on Friday tasted way better. I felt the one on Saturday was perhaps overdone due to it being rushed. Since the patty is critical to a hamburger, I wanted to pass on this feedback. The cooking time should be the exact same. Please look into consistent cooking practices across shifts and days. Overall, great food and service.“

“Absolutely love the food from EDEN, on Coxwell Avenue. It is our local and we get take out at least 1 - 2 times a week. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care—every dish had that perfect balance of taste and texture you hope for. The portions are generous, and there is something to please everyone in our family ...we love all of their soups and noodle dishes, our faves. The restaurant is clean, however not a fancy dining environment, just basic tables and chairs. I think most of their business is take out, so they haven't done much with the dining room. The staff are warm, attentive, and always recognize "regulars' in a welcoming way. Service is always quick, and everything arrives hot and beautifully presented.
