“I stumbled upon this and decided to go in. First, they have parking right at the restaurant, which is a nice perk. Second, the atmosphere and decor of the restaurant was tastefully done. Typically pho restaurants are minimalist at best. Third, the staff member greeted me politely and was very attentive while I was there.
When I received my food it was presented beautifully. Again, I was not expecting this kind of presentation at a pho restaurant. The most important part, is the food tasted great and the portion size was quite large. I would definitely go back.“

“I love Pho Metro! The food is absolutely delicious every time and the service is quick and friendly. Everything is fresh and portion sizes are extremely generous and filling. My wife is addicted to their tea, it smells exactly like brown sugar boba. If you're in Thornhill, we can't recommend this place enough.“

“This is my favourite place! I always order P10 - Vegan Pho and the vegan crispy spring rolls. The food is always delicious. The staff are friendly. I order from Uber eats often as well and it's the same quality, lots of veggies/tofu and noodles.“

“Visiting Toronto from SF with my husband. Stopped here after a morning at The Casa Loma Castle. Very hungry and was not disappointed. The restaurant is nice inside and air conditioned. The staff is welcoming and accommodating. The lemongrass beef was delicious as was the chicken plate. Both proteins were very tender and tasty. I highly recommend this place!“

“This place is always so good. I feel like it is odd that I can’t even recommend a specific dish on the menu. We always just get the weekend special (which changes every week) and it has never disappointed. Great food. Great prices. A local favourite.“

“Pho Anh Vu is a chain Vietnamese
Restaurant that specializes in pho, rice, and vermicelli dishes. First time coming here, I thought the pho was very tasty. The broth, noodles, and meats with the addition of bean sprouts, Thai coriander and Thai basil, were very authentic and danced together very organically.
Service was great! The cold water and hot tea were refreshing. This place looks newer than the other chain spots.
Would come back again!“

“Exactly what I expect a confirmed Pho’ restaurant to be like. Atmosphere was very homely, friendly service. They went over and beyond and made me feel very welcome. I wish them the very best in everything they do. Food is delicious probably the best Pho’ I’ve had in Toronto.“

“Have been here a few times for various meals and it never disappoints. Service is prompt and efficient with a good check in process in place when you arrive and it's busy. Atmosphere is pretty no frills, but the restaurant is always clean. I don't come here for the ambiance, I come here to EAT. The pho is good value, you always get a good ratio of meat and noodles. The broth is clear and flavourful. We're also big fans of the deep fried vegetarian spring rolls and the grilled beef fresh rolls.“

“Absolutely incredible experience at Konia the other night. The vibe and aesthetic were so well done, and you can tell how much thought and care goes into every detail — especially the drinks and menu. The service was genuinely 12/10 and made the whole experience even better. Super affordable as well!
Also loved how many vegetarian and vegan options there were, and they were all delicious (coming from someone who isn’t even vegan). Can’t wait to come back! Food was so good I forgot to take pics.“

“Friendly staff and nice ambiance. Very clean and the staff was very attentive. Hoping it will stay that way specially the quality of their foods. We loved their Pho soup, Grilled chicken and pork chop with rice and most specially their fried spring rolls. Highly recommended!👍“

“Everything is great from this place even portions are surprisingly huge, without sacrificing quality of the food. I love their decorations, my only complaint is the lack of space. I do understand theyre busy and want to seat as many people as possible, but wow people pass by 3-4 inches away from your food.
Still, great food. Highly recommend. During dinner, it might be some wait but its worth it.“

“I live in the US, and although we have a plethora of Vietnamese Establishments within a 20-mile radius of where we reside, I was looking to see what else is out there. My Aunt and Uncle live in a condo at Pharmacy and Finch, so it’s convenient and within walking distance when the weather is nice in the summer. My Mom and I had our eye on this place, but never had a chance to visit until a few weeks ago. The service is quick, attentive, and friendly and the food is excellent. The atmosphere is modern and upscale and the servers are intentional; they take the time to address any questions about the dish you are ordering and require you to inform them of any food allergies, which is extremely important to someone like me (I am allergic to mushrooms and eggplants, sadly). Binnie has taken care of us the past several visits and we enjoy her cheerful and conversational nature.
The true standout dishes here are the following.
10/10 would order again!
(B08) Beef Brisket Pho
The rich, slow-simmered broth makes it even more enjoyable
(C02) Shrimp Wonton & Egg Noodle Soup
A hug in a bowl on a rainy day
(D11) Stir-Fried Chicken In Lemongrass
Vibrant and delicious; perfect balance and ratio of vegetables to noodles
There is just something about this place that makes me feel welcome. I will continue to visit with my Mom whenever we are in the Toronto Area.“

“Decided to have Vietnamese cuisine on a whim, looked for a place in the neighbourhood that had vegan options and my oh my was it a fantastic revelation! Ordered pretty much all of their vegan dishes - the Vegan Pho, the Vegan Banh Mi, Turnip Cake, Dumplings and Cucumber Salad - every single dish was amazing, packed with incredible flavour. Staff was nice, welcoming and fun to talk to - you can tell there are cool people in-charge here. Glad to have found this cozy little spot, can’t wait to go back!“

“Wonderful shop for Banh Mi sandwiches and Shrimp Spring Rolls. We tried the BBQ pork, Chicken & Assorted Bahn mi with flavorful fillings. Nice bun with slight crunch; compared to other places that use buns with hard exterior. Rice rolls (shrimp and pork) well prepared. Excellent food overall. Prices very reasonable, good service from nice lady, a neighbourhood GEM. Thank you!😊 🌟💎🌟💎⭐️😊🌹“

“We were drawn in by the tasty smell of the food while passing the restaurant. Had the lemongrass chicken on rice - juicy and tasty. Great for a quick lunch. They only have a couple small tables so do not expect to sit in. Price was decent! For the food and also a drink it was about $17.“

“I love this place. It's the best pho I've had in the city. It's definitely a Toronto vibe before gentrification infected everything. It takes them 18 hours to make the broth. I spoke to the lady who runs the place. She's a sweetheart, and makes delicious food for what she's asking. The spring rolls are huge and delicious, the pho is savoury and the spices come through perfectly. I will admit, it's a bit on the saltier side.
The chilli oil she has at the table is fantastic, don't be shy as its not as spicy as it is flavourful.
You can easily share an XL rare beef pho between two guys or maybe 3 ladies, depending how hungry you are.
Bring cash as it saves her money, but she does take credit and debit if you need. The real treat here is the pho. You can do other dishes and she has specials constantly. Very affordable spot for the up and coming in this expensive city.
Don't expect fancy, but do expect huge & delicious pho for 2017 prices.“

“I absolutely love this gem - Food is super fresh, very homestyle cooking - like from your mom’s kitchen. The lemongrass chicken on rice or egg foo young are my favourite dishes. The woman who runs this also makes her own milk tea, and it’s to die for. Prices are also amazing - super affordable with good portion sizes. Support local and make this a staple!“

“Bit of an old post from back in April but I want the shout out to this restaurant! It seems like a cutesy family owned place. It’s amazing and I love how there are hooks on the wall behind the seats to hand stuff. They also give free shrimp crackers!“

“Some of the best Pho in the city! So happy the pandemic didn’t impact their recipe. Perfect dark brown, clear and fragrant broth containing tender rare beef, noodles and I add veggies. This was what I’d been craving during lockdown. As usual Viet Thai Kitchen didn’t disappoint! 10/10 recommended!“

“Delicious. From the appetizers to the main dishes and the sticky rice for desert. You’ve never had sticky rice like this. It’s a MUST Have. The friendliest staff I’ve ever experienced. We were well taken care of and well fed from start to finish.“
“Yesterday we had one of the best meal in this city in a long time in the city at this restaurant. We were hungry after a great candlelight concert at the nearby Metropolitan Church venue and we decided to try this place. Blown away by the food. You know the food is good when you see it. We decided to start with a Vietnamese pancake. Before even trying the food I was immediately impressed by the look and we knew the food was made by an extremely talented chef. The way the carrots were cut into beautiful threads. After trying the pancake I was seeing stars in my head. The main course that followed did not disappoint either with a grilled and smoked pork chop with a chicken breast and a delicious Chicken pho. Wow. Will come back again for sure. Not to be missed if you're in the area.“

“Reviews don't lie. I see why Little Banh Mi Shop continues to gain 5 stars review. A small shop along the sidewalk of busy downtown Dundas Street that reminds me of small food shops in Vietnam. Food are prepared fresh for each order. Staff was so friendly and accommodating with order modifications. The grilled pork banh mi was definitely one of the best I have bad. The flavor was so to die for, not too salty, nor too bland. Meat wasn't too fatty as I imagined from other pork banh mi I had in the past at other banh mi shop. Portion was so filling too. Will be a regular visit whenever I am in the area.“

“It's really affordable and high-quality pho, at a quieter place in the Scarbs. The cashier and cooks there are really quick to order and serve, despite the crowds and there's also sauces and garnish on the side for you to add to your dish.
There was ample seating too, when we visited on a weekday evening.
It's worth stopping by for the best pho on a budget!“

“To be honest, I have never experienced anything like this before.
I had no intention of leaving a negative review, because the issue was already addressed that same evening. The restaurant apologized, accepted responsibility, and we considered the matter resolved.
Throughout the entire situation, we remained polite. We did not swear, insult anyone, or cause a scene. We simply raised our concerns respectfully after waiting an extremely long time for our food, while some people at our table had already finished eating and others still had not received their meals. In restaurant service, that is a major issue. What made it worse was that no staff member came to explain the delay or provide any updates.
What I find disappointing is that three of you used three separate Google accounts to respond to my review and indirectly identify me by mentioning our table number and even commenting on my local accent, calling me low EQ. Then you claim that you were not referring to me specifically.
I understand that you gave the restaurant 5-star reviews because you had a positive experience, or part of their promotion( 5 stars review for a free dish) and that is completely your right. However, by repeatedly targeting me in your responses, you have only encouraged me to leave more than one review. Our group had nine people — if I wanted to, there could have been nine reviews instead of one.
Arguing back and forth through Google Reviews is not helping the restaurant. If you would like an unbiased public discussion, feel free to post the situation on Facebook and I will gladly respond there.
If these personal attacks continue after this review, I will also make a Facebook post about the situation. I do not believe that would be beneficial for the restaurant, and I would prefer not to take it that far.
I sincerely hope this is where the discussion ends. This was originally a private matter between me and the restaurant, it was addressed, and I believed it had already been resolved.“

“Not sure how I heard about this place, but I saved it as a place to try.
I kind of walked in with very low expectations and thought this was such a random location for a banh mi store. I always go for the OG so I ordered the assorted sandwich and thought it was really good as well as being reasonably priced ($7 w tax)
Would recommend and come back if I was in the area and craving a banh mi.“

“Still in its first week of soft opening, service was excellent. Food was great.
It's got a good variety compared to the typical Pho places. It has a a list of Satay and Tom Yum bowls.
It has banh kok and bun ba hue.
Special drinks were free during its soft opening which was a big plus.
The interior decor was good.
For the price, their Pho bowls look pretty small. However, the noodle is free refill. My teenage boy, as tiny as the noodle size, had 4 bowls.
Would surely come back“

“Authentic, Flavorful, and Comforting :)
If you're a fan of Vietnamese cuisine, you absolutely have to try the pho at this place! From the moment my friend and I stepped in, we knew it would be a great place; the service was great, and the decor was nice.
We ordered 2 amazing shrimp mango tempura rolls for appetizers; they were very delicious, and for the mains, we got one broth bowl and one rice plate. The beef and pork were very tender, and the sides on the plates were great. The overall presentation was really nice and a very big portion of food that will make you full by the last bite. :)“

“Oxtail Pho & Banh Mi is the kind of place I keep walking into late at night and finding empty, and every time it makes me mad on their behalf.
This place should be packed.
The food is so good, the portions are massive, and they don’t cut corners on quality. The banh mi is incredible. There’s so much filling it can barely stay inside the bread, but the ratio still works: meat, vegetables, seasoning, texture, everything. Their tofu is fantastic, and I love their pho. The broth actually tastes like someone cared.
There’s nothing fancy about the room. It’s bare bones, late-night, no-nonsense Vietnamese food. The staff are always sweet and friendly, and in the summer they might serve you, then step outside for a cigarette. Some people might not love that. Personally, I respect it. That is ambience.
It’s open late, the servings are generous, and the food hits exactly the way you want it to.
I don’t have much else to say except this place is a gem. Go eat there. Fill the room. Order the banh mi. Get the pho. Tip well.
Five stars. Love it here.“

“Cảm ơn nhiều ☺️.
Based on my late night pho dac biet take-out I just finished enjoying, this restaurant is legit and classic. It reminds me of my childhood 🥹. When I walked in, there were 3 generations present - and this was beautiful to see.
I'm Vietnamese-Canadian, my parents are from Saigon, Vietnam. So, I've probably had more than 500 bowls of homemade pho in my lifetime so far 🤣. I don't normally review restaurants until I dine-in because usually take-out/pick up isn't nearly as good - but this was wonderful:
The pho dac biet was good: The broth has that perfect very slight sweetness and was nice and clear & clean, the bò viên (beef meat balls) are handmade (which most places in Toronto don't do), and you get all the proper herbs and fixens you're supposed to get (which not a lot of Toronto spots do with this level of detail). These details alone make whatever I payed for the bowl more than worth it.
I recommend supporting and enjoying this small, local, hard-working family-run restaurant.“
