“Had Pho and vermicelli. Food quality was very good though the brisket and rare beef portions in the Pho was noticeably less than comparable restaurants like Pho An Ngon. Staffs were ok. Had to wait 10 mins for a designated staff in order to pay my bill even though was standing right at the counter. The floor had quite a bit food crumbs.“

“The drinks from the Bambū side are a bit on the pricier side, but they're packed with flavor. We went for two large drinks, and one was practically a dessert in itself. The Mangonada was refreshing, tangy, and had a bit of heat, while the tamarind candy straw added a chewy surprise between sips. The Halo Halo was topped with creamy ube ice cream, which melted nicely into the drink as you mixed it in. It was a little tricky to mix at first since it was filled to the brim, but the combination of textures, sweetness, and nuttiness was fantastic without ever feeling overwhelming.

“This was our 2nd visit for lunch. We had chicken pad Thai and Bun Bo Hue today (attached pics) which were as delicious as the Pho combo and Chicken white meat soup that we had a two weeks ago. Flavourful soup, tender meat, reasonable prices for large portion sizes, nice ambience, friendly staff and lots of parking in large plaza. This place has become one of our favourite lunch spots!

“Overall very good. Clean place, cozy decor (lots of plants, real and fake), welcoming staff, interesting menu with different items than other restaurants. The taste overall was good. I ordered chicken pho and added vegetables. It costs more but the end result is a much more balanced meal. Though I must say the size large came with a lot of noodles and not enough chicken. But I was happy that a large was actually quite large! Thank you! I also really like that they gave me a chilli pepper, I always prefer it. I also ordered to-go a box of fried squid cakes, they were really good, but smaller than I expected, so I felt they were very expensive for what I got. The dipping sauce that came with it was not my cup of tea, I’m not a fan of the shrimp paste flavour. The table top looks like it needs a better cleaning, if you look at it from an angle it looks dirty or oily. Otherwise overall I would say not a bad restaurant.“

I'm fairly confident that I've tried every vegetarian pho in Toronto and Flower Lantern's is the hands-down winner - rich, flavourful broth, huge portions of noodles, and a sampler of every Asian-style mock meat they have on offer elsewhere in the menu (standouts in the soup being the faux chicken and faux bbq pork). Highly recommend this place as I tried many different pho in the gta and it always taste too salty or have that msg taste. You know it hydrates you when they don’t use msg for the flavour. “The bakery owner's service attitude is very cheerful, cute, enthusiastic, and friendly. The bakery is a bit small, so when there are many customers, the store does not have enough room to wait, so customers have to stand out on the street, which is very inconvenient and especially in the winter, customers will get cold. The dishes, sticky rice, rolls, cakes of all kinds, fried spring rolls, etc., are quite delicious, but for the sticky rice dish, the store should cook it with coconut water and add sugar, it will definitely be more delicious. “The place is clean and very nice and inviting. And while it may not be the best Thai out there but it is tasty and there are lots of healthy options which I found to be a plus. I also liked that there was a large selection and that you can tailor the components of your entree easily. This is great because it means more choices. I found the price to be a bit higher than I would like (given the size of the entree) but it's not extremely inflated. I think it would be great if they had some good BOGO sales or special offers so that people in the area can try it out without much risk and maybe make it one of their regular stops.“
