“I decided to try a spicy bún bò instead of pho for my first time visit here, and it was the perfect choice for a warm meal after a long day of shopping. The broth was rich and flavorful, and what I really liked was how the bowl stayed hot until I finished, it made me feel even more delicious.
My friends also enjoyed the cơm tấm. The grilled meat was flavorful and well-seasoned, and the nước mắm sauce made the dish especially delicious. The portions are quite generous, one person may not be able to finish a full plate, so taking leftovers home is definitely welcome.
One downside is that the smell from inside the restaurant tends to stick to your clothes after you leave. Also, I noticed a bit of an MSG taste, which made me slightly uncomfortable since I am sensitive to it, my friends did not have any issues thought.“

“The hype is real! This super-authentic chay (vegetarian) Vietnamese restaurant is as close to the one I've eaten at in Vietnam as anything you'll find over here. I'm fairly confident that I've tried every vegetarian pho in Toronto and Flower Lantern's is the hands-down winner - rich, flavourful broth, huge portions of noodles, and a sampler of every Asian-style mock meat they have on offer elsewhere in the menu (standouts in the soup being the faux chicken and faux bbq pork). I've never had a bowl of soup that left me so content and satiated. Was impressed enough to get a banh mi to go, can't wait to have that for lunch today!“

I always come here whenever I’m craving a home-style Vietnamese meal. Portions are big and everything comes out hot, perfect for a proper lunch (or dinner).

I really liked the meal set for two, canh chua fish soup, braised pork, fish sauce fried chicken wings with sticky rice, and the beef salad, all tasted very authentic. With plenty of food on the menu there, I ate the Phở Dặc Biệt / Special Soup as well as the gỏi cuốn and enjoyed every part of it. I felt welcomed and looked after. The prices were very affordable, and made me feel very full!“

“The bakery owner's service attitude is very cheerful, cute, enthusiastic, and friendly. The bakery is a bit small, so when there are many customers, the store does not have enough room to wait, so customers have to stand out on the street, which is very inconvenient and especially in the winter, customers will get cold. The dishes, sticky rice, rolls, cakes of all kinds, fried spring rolls, etc., are quite delicious, but for the sticky rice dish, the store should cook it with coconut water and add sugar, it will definitely be more delicious. “The place is clean and very nice and inviting. And while it may not be the best Thai out there but it is tasty and there are lots of healthy options which I found to be a plus. I also liked that there was a large selection and that you can tailor the components of your entree easily. This is great because it means more choices. I found the price to be a bit higher than I would like (given the size of the entree) but it's not extremely inflated. I think it would be great if they had some good BOGO sales or special offers so that people in the area can try it out without much risk and maybe make it one of their regular stops.“

Absolutely loved this bánh mì spot. I added extra chà bông for $0.50 and extra meat for $1.50, and it was 100% worth it. The banh mi came out so full and generously packed, just how I like it. Every bite felt satisfying and well balanced.

The owner is an older gentleman, so it took a little longer to prepare, but honestly I didn’t mind at all. You can tell he puts care into what he’s making. If you’re planning to visit, just be a bit patient, it’s worth the wait.

Also tried the fried banana and it was fresh, warm, and sooo good.

“We used to live right near Cơm Phở Thế Kỷ and it quickly became our absolute go-to spot. Even though we’ve moved an hour away now, we still make the drive back whenever we can.

As Filipinos, we are huge rice lovers, so it’s no surprise that our absolute favorites here are the beef fried rice and the special rice platter. The cashier/server is always incredibly nice and accommodating, and the prices are VERY REASONABLE.“
