“Loved my first visit. Friendly, professional service, great tasting food. Not the typical, huge menu that is often seen at Vietnamese restaurants; instead its more focused on doing it right.“

“Food: 5 Stars
Service: 4 Stars
Ambience: 3 Stars
Value: 5 Stars
Overall: 4.25 Stars
I ordered takeout for pickup from Pho Mi Viet Hoa, and overall, I was impressed with the experience. I decided to try their Bun Thap Cam, which came with generous portion sizes that were more than satisfying. The value for what you pay here is truly exceptional, especially considering the amount of food you receive. It's clear that they aim to deliver authentic Vietnamese cuisine, and for the most part, they succeed. The flavours were vibrant, and the dish was prepared with fresh ingredients, making for a delicious meal.
However, I did find that the fish sauce provided was a bit too sweet for my taste. This is a personal preference, of course, and not necessarily a flaw in their cooking. I ended up using my mom's homemade fish sauce, which complemented the dish perfectly. For those who prefer a less sweet fish sauce, it might be worth mentioning this preference when ordering. Despite this minor hiccup, I thoroughly enjoyed the meal and found it to be well-balanced and flavourful.
In terms of value, Pho Mi Viet Hoa offers great bang for your buck. The portion sizes are more than generous, and the quality of the food is commendable. The authenticity of the dishes is a highlight, and it’s clear that they put effort into maintaining traditional Vietnamese flavours. While I didn’t dine in, the takeout process was smooth, and my order was ready promptly, which I appreciated.
In conclusion, Pho Mi Viet Hoa is a solid choice if you're craving authentic Vietnamese food at a reasonable price. The portion sizes, quality, and overall value make it a worthwhile option. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a hearty and delicious meal, but if you're particular about your fish sauce, it might be worth asking for an alternative or bringing your own. I’ll definitely be back to try more items from their menu.

“Always my first choice when craving Vietnamese food in GTA. Pho Tai Lan here is the best of same kind in Toronto, it reminds me of authentic Northern flavour with distinctive stir-fried beef.
Salt pepper squid is also yummy for starter, and Bun Mang Vit is a blast.
The owners are caring about guests.
Only drawback is the noisy of busy days and big groups.
Overall highly recommended for both Northern and Southern Vietnamese flavour!“

“This is my new favorite Vietnamese restaurant in the North York area. It's pricey but they are generous with the portion. Ordered the hu tieu dac biet dry version - $17 and the Banh xeo - $16.50. Comes with a pitcher of iced tea. I would order these dishes again and again. One of the best I've had. Food came out within 15 minutes of ordering.“

“ate at this banh mi parlor growing up. it definitely cemented itself in being a huge staple for me of what a GREAT banh mi is suppose to be. Great choice of baguette that they use paired with fresh garnishes and deli meats. The location has been operating for years. Tasting the banh mi and to interact with the kind ladies up front; you'll easily see why it's a 5 star Banh mi.“

“Strange to be sitting in a shop among piles of imported goods, but heard good things about the soups so we came to try the cha ca, bun mam, and banh cuon. All were very flavorful and delicious. Banh cuon rolls are very smooth. They served pandan tea which was nice. The ladies working there were very welcoming and kind, though a bit overwhelmed by many people coming in and out. I'm surprised there were a lot of people buying stuff because I found a lot of items to be very expensive. The food was not expensive though. I would come back for the cha ca and banh cuon.“

“Best pho I tried in the GTA. What makes a good pho is when the broth doesn’t make you thirsty and makes you hydrated. Good price too. Highly recommend this place as I tried many different pho in the gta and it always taste too salty or have that msg taste. You know it hydrates you when they don’t use msg for the flavour. As I’m not sure but definitely it’s not overly salty“

“I just visited CA and had the experience of trying a few Vietnamese restaurants but none of them were impressive and this place is the one that I think cooks with the most authentic Vietnamese flavors. I'm glad I found a good place to eat. Will come back to try other dishes. Well, the sour soup is delicious but a bit salty!! Just a personal opinion ?“

“Today I rode my bike here to buy spring rolls, and soy milk and a few other things for my family! ❤️ Many people came to buy products. While standing there choosing dishes, I observed that the employee was very friendly, welcoming to other customers and also attentive to me.? When I got home, I was drink soy milk with pandan leaves, the light sweetness smells of pandan leaves, wow it suits my taste, my son uses tofu with sugar water! He said loudly wow wow so delicious Father! Sugar water after processing has the scent of ginger. The fried rolls are also very delicious and fragrant! Please come and buy some dishes to enjoy, I believe you and your little family will also like it.?“

“What a great place! Me and my mother walked in at the spur of the moment and it was both our first time, too. My mother’s first time try(not Vietnamese food. The people were super nice, the food was really delicious and fresh — even the water tasted good! It was definitely filtered and not right out of the tap like most restaurants do. And added bonus was the postcards from Vietnam all over the wall on one side of the room. They were cheery and it gave me the impression that the owners truly love Vietnam. Will definitely go back repeatedly!“

“The place is clean and very nice and inviting. And while it may not be the best Thai out there but it is tasty and there are lots of healthy options which I found to be a plus. I also liked that there was a large selection and that you can tailor the components of your entree easily. This is great because it means more choices. I found the price to be a bit higher than I would like (given the size of the entree) but it's not extremely inflated. I think it would be great if they had some good BOGO sales or special offers so that people in the area can try it out without much risk and maybe make it one of their regular stops.“
“A must come kinda place for Vina House lover even if you’re not. Good food, nice vibe, amazing sound system. The place is even better than in the pictures now. The only problem comes when you check out. In the middle of a hangover, an extra tip is added without any notice, although the tip option screen still pops up. I think it’s should be 20% - 25%. For me, that was unethical. Even though I really enjoy this place, it doesn’t worth 5 stars.“

“Discover the Traditional Flavors of Authentic Vietnamese Banh Mi
I went to this hidden spot in North York on Jane St and Keel and I tired authentic Vietnamese Banh Mi sandwich. This place is hidden from road but food is very good. I ordered 1 roasted chicken Banh Mi which was loaded with fresh carrots, fresh cucumbers, lots of roasted chicken. I also ordered Half fried chicken with rice. Let me tell you that food was good, clean and very cheap. Banh Mi was for $4.00 cash and Fried Chicken was for $10.00 and it was loaded. This place is CASH ONLY and have no debit machine on site. However service is very quick and food is very good.“

“We ordered a shrimp rice paper rolls with peanut dipping sauce, a beef pho, and a dry noodle with pork meatball and sugar cane shrimp. The food's seasoning was a bit different from what we tried at other Vietnamese restaurants. But it is not either a good or a bad thing. It is just a different kind of flavours I guess. Their seasoning was sweeter compare to other Vietnamese restaurants.
Fairly priced food and big portion. You will even receive a 10% off for cash payment. Service was efficient. Staff was polite as well. They were attentive and kept refilling water for us. The restaurant was really quiet was so it was comfortable to sit in. Clean tables and chairs too.“

“I have been coming to Pho Mine since it opened. I was happy with the food from day one, and so I went back to explore their menu. This place is REALLY good. Aside from their very good Pho, I particularly like their curried brisket (sooo good!) and their lemongrass dishes. I keep returning not only for the food, but also because of the excellent staff, who always make me feel welcomed and appreciated. In fact, because of feeling very welcomed at Pho Mine, I visit at least once or twice per week - sometimes more. I would highly recommend Pho Mine to anyone in the Yonge and Sheppard area who is looking for Asian-fusion dishes. Also, just fyi, I've been living at Yonge and Sheppard for over 20 years. I've seen many places come and go, but I sincerely hope Pho Mine stays as long as possible, because I appreciate having a very good 'go-to' restaurant in my local area. Two thumbs up! 5 stars! Cheers!“

“Small take out location. I have gotten some ice cream a few times. Flavours are good but the texture is so strange. Kind of gooey. My husband likes it but I'm undecided. I just like the salted egg yolk ice cream. I saw many people buying a lot of flan but I tried one and it was just okay. Small for price. Tried the milk cheese lychee drink which was okay. Will come back to check out other desserts.
Staff very welcoming and kind. Cash discount available. There are about 3 small tables to sit at.“

“If you are looking for a hidden bakery mom and pop shop in West Toronto, look no further than Hoang Viet Bakery Coffee for classic Vietnamese bakery items such as the baguette, Banh Mi and lots of cold desserts!
The Banh Mi sandwiches range from the traditional cold cut combo to rotisserie chicken! All the sandwiches are made by hand in the store with the freshly baked baguette that is crispy enough to hold all the pickled vegetables, pate, mayo, and meats.
The fried donut is also an underrated item to enjoy with the cold Vietnamese coffee!
Be sure to swing by the plaza for a small taste of home!“

“The owner's originally had their store at Woodside Square (McCowan and Finch). I went to this original store when I was in highschool. Years later; now with kids, I went to this restaurant and it was the same owners! To my surprise, they recognized me! I come here often with my family for the relationship. The food is nostalgic.“
