50 Best Bakeries in North York

“I absolutely love this place! By far the best coffee and pastries in the area. Although they are a relatively new bakery, the reputation that they’ve built for themselves amongst the city, and especially the Lawrence Park community is remarkable!“

“Customer Service here is a 10 at a time.I originally ordered something for my birthday. Was told it would come in time but unfortunately I ordered it after three p m. So it wasn't able to come in time. And these people went out of their way to make my day extra special. Honestly Warmed my heart. They gave me a few extra freebies. And even wrote happy birthday catlena in frosting. Not to mention the food was delicious. And the fact that it comes frozen and I can keep it frozen and use it as I need.It is amazing. 10 out of 10 definitely recommend amazing service.Amazing food , everything about this brand is great.😀“

We both had lux and cream cheese sandwiches, along with a cherry danish and I even had a caramilk milkshake for the very first time! In addition, when we spent a certain amount of money which was something like $30.00 dollars, we were given an additional of six (6) bagels for Free! What a Great Deal! Furthermore, the food was Good too! Thank you mom for Taking us There! Sincerely yours, Howard Paul Shore Helene Shore Happy Bagel Bakery Customers /HPS /HS“

“I had a great experience at this Arab bakery. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality and variety they offer. The food is excellent and everything tastes fresh & flavorful.

What really stands out is the wide selection. They have all kinds of baked goods, including all types of bread, not just Arabic bread. From traditional pastries to sweets and savory items, there is something for everyone.

The place also offers dine-in tables, which is perfect if you want to enjoy your food hot and fresh right away. One of their best highlights is their No. 1 Managish, with a wide menu and many options to choose from. I highly recommend trying the zaatar with cheese (It’s absolutely delicious).

The staff are very friendly and welcoming, which makes the visit even more enjoyable. You can tell they care about their customers and take pride in their work.

Overall, this is a fantastic place if you’re looking for delicious Arabic bakery items at good prices. Highly Recommended!“

“***I DO NOT RECOMMEND *** The customer service at the head office is awful. They messed up my online order and didn’t pass on the message to the store on time for a specific date cake order for my kids birthday. I ordered cakes for Oct 21 to be picked up. I went to the bakery and was told that they don’t have the cakes. I called and emailed the head office and they said they are small business and mistakes happen. That was the lamest excuse! Mistakes happen but they didn’t even try to fix the issue. Just saying “we are sorry, it happened, we are small business and mistakes happen” is not the right reply at all. If a communication didn’t happen between head office and the store, that is not customers fault. Running around, trying to find alternative solution, and buying another flavored cake was the worst experience celebrating my kids special day. I wasted my time, energy and money on finding cakes, I had to go back to the bakery on the same day at 9pm. The fact that they just wanted me to forget and let the problem go by really frustrated me. They said they tried to make it work, but I don’t think they even tried and think of customers perspective. I needed those 2 cakes on that day, and I placed the order 3 weeks in advance for a reason. I will most likely not order from them again and will pass my awful customer experience to my friends and family. Very irresponsible and unreasonable. Simply didn’t care. They ignored all my emails.“

“The best guy ever to deal with. Amazing empanadas and they always taste bangin“

“I discovered The Bagel House at 1548 Bayview Avenue today. The service was excellent and my avocado veggie sesame bagel was sooo good! I treated myself to the apple & cherry strudel after and is yumwow a word? Well done!“

“The owner is amazing and very passionate about what she does, very friendly and accommodated reasonably to my requests for the cake. Speedy service too

We purchased both the cake tasting box and a cake. We enjoyed trying every flavor before finally choosing on ours. It was fun and a great experience.

The cake was great and beautiful, just what we wanted for our special day. Unique flavors to choose from and delicious, if I had the opportunity to I would request for this business again. I highly recommend for anyone interested to try her work.“

“Everything they make is superlative! And their service matches the quality of their food.“

“Very yummy soufganiot!! Went for the classic raspberry as well as some chocolate and custard options. All were a big hit.“

“It is very bad experience 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻 on this shop, I ordered 3 cakes, tarts and other stuff, it is full of bag, when I back home and open it, 1 cake missing! I call their office leave voice mail, and email them, and leave a FB message, and wait for 3 days, NO ONE RESPOND! I called to the office and talked to the manager, he said that he didn't get anything from me! no email, no voice mail, no FB message!? Also, he hang up my call!!!!!!! how come the company service like this?“

“We buy products from ODoughs for our autistic son, and he absolutely loves them. Today, we stopped by the facility where their products are made and discovered that we can order online and have everything delivered right to our door! The staff were so friendly and welcoming. They took the time to help us place our first order and even packed it up for us to take home today. The customer service was wonderful. If you are gluten-free, this company has so many amazing products that truly taste great. Today I tried the brownies for the first time and WOW — absolutely delicious! What touched my heart even more was learning through their website that ODoughs partners with DANI to help provide work placements for neurodivergent individuals. As a parent of a child with autism, this means so much to me. Our son is not yet at working age, but I constantly hear how difficult it can be for individuals on the spectrum, those with Down syndrome, or others with disabilities to find meaningful employment opportunities. Thank you to everyone at ODoughs for not only creating amazing products, but also for supporting the disability community in such a positive and inclusive way. Because of companies like yours, families like ours feel seen and supported. From one grateful parent — we will absolutely continue to support your business and share your products with our family and friends.“

“Cozy and quaint little spot that remains a time capsule. It’s one of the few spots that has avoided the plague of be urbanization. Great Vietnamese iced coffee and decent sized bahn mi. They have seating and two CRT TV’s that feature some kind of card game wagering. They also have prepared deli items, desserts and dried meat snacks. Plus other Vietnamese fare. Definitely worth a visit. And one more thing, they also feature multiple small green stools outside the establishment for that authentic Vietnam street experience.“

“Lovely experience at Paris Baguette! It was my first time visiting the Sheppard Young location, and I had a great experience. I got the strawberry shortcake, with fresh strawberries and a chocolate piece on top. The service and staff are very friendly and helpful. Prices are reasonable too. Fresh bakery items, cakes, and pastries. Will definitely be visiting back again soon!“

“OMG ...I just love this place , the service is amazing, the lovely lady that served me was so polite and helpful, the pastries are devine . One of the best experiences I have had in long time , I can't wait to go back and try more delicacies ❤“

“We ordered cupcakes for our daughter’s birthday, and they were absolutely fantastic. The cream on top was so fresh, and the cupcakes were spongy, soft, and delicious. Thank you, Surreal Sweets, for making our daughter’s birthday so sweet!!“

“I love their meringue cakes with peaches and dulce de leche. Ordered one for my birthday and everyone was very nice. I got my own HBD sign because I know the cake can't be decorated. The lady inside gave me another HBD sign just in case I have problems inserting mine. Their empanadas are also really good.“

“This was such a lovely atmosphere, as i walked in it was such a beautiful aesthetic with high ceilings and a floral aesthetic going on. It’s very spaced out, but I wouldn’t say there are alot of places to sit, and it’s hard to find a spot with an outlet, it’s more of a grab and go place or you can sit and chill with your friends. I got the iced mocha with almond milk and half sweetener it was pretty good mocha iced latte, it was a little bit more bitter than how I normally drink it, but it was drinkable ✨ they seem to have a lot more matcha options so this one is for matcha lovers“
