“Stopped by Daan Go Cake Lab in Richmond Hill to pick up a last-minute birthday cake, and I was really impressed with the experience.
One of the biggest conveniences was that they had a great selection of cakes available for same-day pickup. I called the morning of to reserve one of their cakes, and they were able to set it aside for me along with a birthday message for my friend, making the whole process quick and stress-free.
We went with their #1 best-selling cake, and it was a hit with everyone. The cake was fresh, light, and delicious, and it's easy to see why it's their most popular option.
I also couldn't help but notice their display of desserts, especially the macarons. They have unique, adorable designs, and they taste just as good as they look, with a great texture and flavor.
Overall, I had an excellent experience from start to finish. The staff made ordering easy, the cake was fantastic, and the desserts looked amazing. I'll definitely be back to try more of their creations.“

“Absolutely delicious sweet and savory treats. I have so many food allergies but I can safely eat the food from this bakery. i appreciate the plant based options too. I love the oat fudge bars, vanilla cakes/cupcakes, chocolate cakes/cupcakes, custom cakes, both types of quiche, the scones, brownies, spiced chocolate bar, lattes, drip coffee, cookies...geeze I guess I go there a lot. I haven't even tried everything in the bakery yet. It is a wonderful for breakfast, midday treat and dessert after dinner. I stock up on Sunday to have enough to last me until Thursday morning when the bakery reopens for the week. I am having a very hard time sticking to just one item a day. It is great for school lunch treats because it is a nut free bakery. This is important for school staff and students.“

This is arguably the best Persian bakery in Richmond hill (as far as I have seen). The biggest bonus is the store’s really kind staff with their always big smiles who always welcome you as you walk in. Their manner is indicative of their high personality. The prices are totally reasonable and fair at great taste and quality. I also noticed that they use natural sourdough when preparing their dough which makes the taste really great from my point of view. “Gandom Bakery sells delicious traditional/artisanal bread baked fresh every day.

Would highly recommend the whole wheat Sangak for a filling and hearty bread. Depending on when you stop by, you might be lucky enough to catch the bread coming straight out of the oven. The quality is consistently high and very dependable.

They have a good amount of parking space and the bakery is packed with other options of breads, sweets, and other food items.

It is well worth giving them a try!“

We have tried so many egg tarts, this place is rated highly. When we arrived, we waited 10 minutes for fresh egg tarts and it was worth it. The egg is silky, smooth and reminds me of my childhood. The crust is flaky and dense at the same time. Running strong in our books. I also got the red bean and salted egg yolk. Delicious.“

“This is a very popular place. They have amazing everything but my favourite thing is Napoleon cake.
They sell out of everything so quickly so I usually call to reserve the pieces I want. It’s not a fancy looking place when you come in, which is great because all they focus on is the quality of what they make. I would recommend for everyone to try it. The ham and cheese bun holds its own too. Tear it open and the cheese pulls in long stretchy strands, the bun fluffy with real chew. Taste is on point.

“We have enjoyed delicious Chinese (Hong Kong) baked items at this bakery (龍島 “Dragon Island”) since 1991. Their “pineapple” buns 菠蘿包 are the best. The cakes and pastries are moist, light, not too sweet, delicious. We are always happy to buy treats from this location. That also offer frozen ready to eat meals, and really good Hong Kong style beverages.“
