“Really nice specialty coffee shop in Markham. They have a great selection of specialty coffee beans from different roasters, along with plenty of coffee accessories and brewing gear to check out. The coffee itself was very good as well.

The space is clean and well kept, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely a good place to stop if you’re into specialty coffee or looking to pick up some new beans for home.“

“Absolutely delicious sweet and savory treats. I have so many food allergies but I can safely eat the food from this bakery. i appreciate the plant based options too. I love the oat fudge bars, vanilla cakes/cupcakes, chocolate cakes/cupcakes, custom cakes, both types of quiche, the scones, brownies, spiced chocolate bar, lattes, drip coffee, cookies...geeze I guess I go there a lot. I haven't even tried everything in the bakery yet. It is a wonderful for breakfast, midday treat and dessert after dinner. I stock up on Sunday to have enough to last me until Thursday morning when the bakery reopens for the week. I am having a very hard time sticking to just one item a day. It is great for school lunch treats because it is a nut free bakery. This is important for school staff and students.“

“Went to Gate Cafe to get some work done and was pleased to find plenty of seating with nearby outlets. While I was there, I had to try their Brisket Poutine, which was $20.

The poutine is definitely big enough to share, making it a great value. The brisket was tender and flavourful. What really stands out is how generous they are with the gravy and sauce—it's incredibly rich and savoury. My one piece of advice is to not mix everything all at once. The sauces are so abundant that it can quickly make the fries soggy, so it's best to enjoy it in smaller, well-portioned bites.

Overall, the poutine was a fantastic treat. Paired with the fast and friendly staff, my experience at Gate Cafe was a productive and delicious one.“

We have tried so many egg tarts, this place is rated highly. When we arrived, we waited 10 minutes for fresh egg tarts and it was worth it. The egg is silky, smooth and reminds me of my childhood. The crust is flaky and dense at the same time. Running strong in our books. I also got the red bean and salted egg yolk. Delicious.“

“I have been a daily patron of this starbucks for about 15yrs..what keeps me coming back, more than just the coffee...the staff...there is no greater feeling in the morning or afternoon to be served with a fresh brew with absolute smiles and kindness...the guys/girls at this location are just so friendly and will chat with you; more than just serving you your coffee. Gloria and Samantha are such sweet hearts, they see me coming and will start my brew before I get there...godbless these guys.
