“Always packed at this store even if you arrive super early when it opens. Hard to find a table with kids. The pastries are great, but the cakes seem to be so so. They only have mostly ice cream cakes here, the other store at commerce valley has other varieties but they open later at 11am.“

“Gate girll and gate cafe is both the same. I'll start by saying the staff are very nice but it did take a while for our drinks to come despite not many people in the restraunt. The eggplant and mushroom burger is a must, it was soo good. The saffron milkshake I didn't realize at the time was $18. Very overpriced for a milkshake and definitely does not match the quality. Caesar salad is okay. Didn't end up getting the waffle because it just felt like it would take a while. But seeing the other the reviews. I think this spot is more for pizza, burgers and sandwiches than anything.
Parking: There is a Parking lot on the back, just turn off onto the side street and you should see it on the right. Otherwise theres free street parking. An hour limit before 6pm but after not timed“
“Reviewing based on my visit without tasting the coffee or purchasing beansPerson behind the counter is super intuitive knowing as soon as I was stepping up and just informed me that they don’t do drinks to the publicLoved that he could clue in. So I took a look around at the products offered. Lots of different roasts / blends and thhey also have some nice teas available for that tea lover. They also have some very nice presses for coffee making and a few to choose from from tooPlace is very welcoming and aesthetic. There’s a space adjacent to the retail space which looks like potentially some classes could go on there.Great job“

“Was looking for a brunch place and found Gramma’s Oven Bakery. Walked in and got a whiff of the breads and the coffee. The owner gave us briefing of what they bake. 11 different types of breads and various cold sandwiches.
We ordered coffee, croissant and sourdough sandwich butter and jam. But if you can see the image below we inhaled our breakfast unfortunately there was no time to take the pic. Thank you.“

“It takes awhile to get a table but well worth it. The pastas, the eggs Benedict, fried chicken waffles are all delicious.
The ordering is done online and the menu is tough to navigate that way but it saves the servers a lot of work. The servers are not as attentive as other nearby brunch places but the menu variety, the quality of the food and reasonable pricing makes up for it.“

“I recently visited BB Cafe and had a wonderful experience. While waiting for my order, the kind staff offered me a delicious pastry and a cup of Persian tea, which was a lovely touch. The people there are incredibly generous and welcoming.
The cafe boasts the best cakes in town, and every visit is filled with positive energy. I highly recommend coming here to enjoy their delicious coffees and a variety of pastry options. It’s the perfect spot to relax and treat yourself!“

“My sister and myself went for the "Halloween wizard" afternoon tea. There were plenty of tea options and the varieties we chose were very good. The savouries were delicious. The sweets were very aesthetic, though not quite as good as the savouries. We were checked in on periodically and overall I would say it was a good experience. The jiggly little owl was very cute!“

“Today first time visit…impressive with their coffee orange cake. Someone commented negatively about the shop’s quality. I think it was an attack with no facts grounded. The shop did use good quality ingredients as I have been baking for over 20 years.“
“Considering that this store is in a small gas station and a very small drive thru I must say the staff are very nice and professional especially on the speaker, I have been grabbing my morning coffee and bagels here and so far so good ? thank you“
“I like this Starbucks location but it is irritating that its located within loblaws. There used to be a starbucks stand alone within this plaza at the very north end of the strip of stores on bayview. I'm not sure why they moved to within a Loblaws but thats their choice.“

“We stumbled on this Chinese bakery which served the best egg tarts and they made them fresh as you could smell them wafting throughout the area. Although as a personal preference I liked my crust to be like the Portuguese egg tarts, the contents had the same delicate creamy custard texture which reminded me of my days in Hong Kong. Overall, it was delicious. At times they do run out so get them while it's hot.“

“Love the atmosphere, food & service. Very comfortable stay. Would recommend for brunch. Great that they take reservations but I was displeased that they didn’t pick up the phone when I tried calling in to reserve. End up having to wait when I got there. But that was ok as the seater greeter was apologetic & polite about it. We also only waited about 20 mins so all good.“

“I went there on my birthday to redeem the Birthday reward. I ordered a venti Frappuccino. The staff (young lady) saw me with kids and offered to split the drink into 3 small cups so we could all enjoy it. That was very sweet. Kids of course loved it. She made my day more special!“

“Friendly and humble staff! There was a time when I didn’t have enough money to cover my order, and they generously gave it to me without hesitation. They also offer free donuts at the end of the day if you ask, as they usually make a fresh batch each morning and would otherwise throw the leftovers away.“

Interesting facts about Starbucks:
1. Founding: Starbucks was founded in 1971 in Seattle, USA. The first store opened in Pike Place Market and sold only coffee beans and coffee brewing equipment. By the way, the logo at that time was completely different and depicted a siren from ancient Greek myths - its image has been preserved to this day.
2. Name and Inspiration: The name "Starbucks" was chosen from the novel "Moby Dick" by Herman Melville, where Starbuck was Captain Ahab's mate. The founders wanted to highlight the connection to the maritime theme and adventure associated with coffee beans traveling across oceans.
3. The First Latte and Espresso: It wasn't until the 1980s that Starbucks began selling espresso and espresso-based drinks, including the much-loved latte. The idea came after Howard Schultz, the future CEO, traveled to Italy, where he was amazed by the café culture and decided to bring something similar to America.
4. Social Responsibility: Starbucks actively promotes environmental and social initiatives. The company aims to use only recyclable and compostable materials, support fair trade and invest in rural coffee growing communities.
5. Available Wi-Fi and a unique atmosphere: Another reason why it’s so nice to sit in a Starbucks next to the Indigo bookstore is that the company consciously creates an atmosphere of a “third place” between home and work. Available Wi-Fi, pleasant music and soft sofas make this a popular place for work and relaxation“

“I go through the drive thru every morning and have been doing so for just over a year. in all that time there have only been a couple of times that the people have not smiled or greeted me in a friendly manner. 99,99% of the time, they are smiling, friendly and very attentive!“
“Workers are overworked. They need more staff. It’s a busy location and they’re running around. I had to wait a while but it’s not their fault. Whoever the manager is needs to staff it better. Workers are great and helpful despite being overworked and too busy.“
