“I had one of the best customer service experiences with Tony from Northwest Kitchenware. I made the purchase on line and so I was kind of expecting the 'modern' customer service experience. Nope! Not at all. It was actually REAL customer service. Tony went above and beyond what was called for. I even spent a couple of hours with Tony after we agreed to swap out the machine learning as much as I could from him. Tony took the time to go over the basic operation of the machine and into the finer points. We tested the new machine to make sure I was happy with it and to make sure I was going to get the most out of my purchase. I am. As a coffee roaster and professional barista I wasn't just kicking tires, I was interested. Tony recognised that and the conversation became an opportunity to learn from someone who has an incredible depth of experience in the coffee industry. He doesn't just sell the machines, he services them, he optimises them. His experiences isn't only in the machines and the servicing Tony is also an experienced and accomplished coffee roaster.

The Story
I purchased an espresso machine from Northwest Kitchenware on-line on a good sale, which was a bonus on a bonus as their prices are really good as they are. It was picked up by another person as they happened to be visiting relatives in Toronto at the time. It was a little bit rushed but everything went well. After unloading and unboxing the unit I notices a couple of things I had questions about. I sent an email describing the issues to Tony and enquired about what could be done. Unfortunately I work the same hours as they are open and I am min 2 hours away so I wasn't sure. We talked by phone later that same day and Tony invited me to come down when they were closed, bring the machine and we would figure something out. So I bundled everything back into the car on my day off and set off on my adventure. Glad I did.
I arrived and brought the machine into...well...a gleaming espresso shangra-la. The machine was gone over and I outlined the issues I had with it while Tony listened and asked the questions he needed answered. In the end we ended up exchanging with another of the same.
I felt so happy with my purchase after leaving, not just that I got the right machine but more that I got it from the right store. At Northwest kitchenware I know I am in good hands.“

Anyways, after i spoke with Tony for an advise on how i want the espresso to taste. He was spot on. I swear, i promise you. Espresso Bar Coffee beans, for my taste, is the best!!! Love it i gave up on getting Pascucci Caffe from Italy!!!! And the service is top notch. they went the extra mile to ship 6 kg overnight for free. well, they take care of their customers!!!!!“

The way she manages the store feels unprofessional, and her attitude is often unwelcoming. Every time I visit when she is working, she doesn’t even greet customers, which makes the environment uncomfortable. Because of this, I sometimes leave without ordering when I see her on shift.
