“First time visiting this location after being a frequent patron of their North York spot. The menu is quite expansive, but we went with the burgers, which were juicy, flavourful, and definitely hit the spot. The kitchen takes up nearly half the restaurant, which gives you a sense of how much focus goes into the food. Looking forward to coming back and trying their brunch next time.“

“I decided to try a spicy bún bò instead of pho for my first time visit here, and it was the perfect choice for a warm meal after a long day of shopping. The broth was rich and flavorful, and what I really liked was how the bowl stayed hot until I finished, it made me feel even more delicious.
My friends also enjoyed the cơm tấm. The grilled meat was flavorful and well-seasoned, and the nước mắm sauce made the dish especially delicious. The portions are quite generous, one person may not be able to finish a full plate, so taking leftovers home is definitely welcome.
One downside is that the smell from inside the restaurant tends to stick to your clothes after you leave. Also, I noticed a bit of an MSG taste, which made me slightly uncomfortable since I am sensitive to it, my friends did not have any issues thought.“

“I was a table of one (me, myself, and I), and the staff was still friendly and attentive. They gave me 3 appetizers to start with (other tables with 2 or more customers got at least 4, which is fair). I ate all 3 plates of appetizers, and they asked me at least twice if I wanted more. I caved and asked for the Goguma Mattang (that was not initially served), and they gave it to me right away.

I ordered the Gamja-tang, and it was delicious! So flavourful. Definitely will come back again when in the area.

The environment was pleasant and clean, and the general flavor of the dishes was acceptable. No major complaints on the ambiance or basic taste.
However, the main issue was the freshness of the food. The meat did not seem as fresh as I would have liked, and some of the cold dishes also tasted like they had been sitting out for a while. This significantly detracted from the meal's quality.
If the kitchen can address the freshness of their ingredients, particularly the meat and cold appetizers, this restaurant would definitely earn a higher rating.

“It’s the best and one of the oldest noodle places. They only serve three main ingredients: beef, wonton and fish ball and all good. It’s a self serve restaurant and pretty large interior. Can also buy the raw ingredients for home hot pot. One drawback though is the use of takeout bowls and utensils even for dining in.“

The food was brought to our table by very polite servers and every dish came with immaculate presentation. We enjoyed the eel, ( 2 different ways) , lobster beautifully presented on a bed of noodles, ribs, rice, beef noodles, green vegetables with garlic and two fish dishes. We also enjoyed almond milk soup and a sesame ball for dessert. As a Caucasian it was alot of fun to get a taste of Hong Kong cooking and the owner, David was great as he described everything to us!
