“This is my first time coming to this Japanese restaurant. We were greeted immediately when we entered the restaurant and were led to our seats in no time. We had their omakase special dinner at the sushi bar. The food were excellent and the service was great and attentive. We have been to many omakase restaurants and the food and service here matches other that cost double theirs. I will definitely come back for more.“

“Awesome place. I haven't had celiac friendly sushi for a very long time. I am very sensitive and get really sick if I eat any gluten or even something cross-contaminated. Tomo Japanese Restaurant was a great experience in terms of food, service, atmosphere, and above all safety for me and my son. “I picked up the party tray(P1.52 pcs assorted with sashimi,sushi and maki) for 3 people. Everyone really enjoyed every single item!!
So fresh and the sushi rice is perfectly cooked and prepared!
The quality and the portion are amazingly great! It is such a hidden gem in the neighbourhood!! The staff were so kind and attentive as well.

“Ive been here a few times. A buck a shuck. Come on you cant go wrong. Except today they give me a story that the $1 oysters didnt arrive. $1.25 east coast or $1.85 west are my options for oysters. I hammered a few dozen east and a half west as I was told they were super fresh. I have yet to try the rest of the menu over the years. I will one day. This place is a gem. The service is top shelf. Fernando at the bar. A main stay. I know as I owe a resturant and am all about hospitality. This guy rocks. Id steal him...but he belongs here. The back bone of the bar. Pleasant, humble and creative.

“This place is like a mom & pop restaurant you’ll find in small town Japan. It is run by a wonderful couple and the food has authentic touches. You can also taste the kombi/bonito broth in the miso soup. The teriyaki isn’t just sweetened soy sauce glaze, it actually has flavour! The tempura is out of this world - delicate, and the batter is not greasy or thick. Sashimi was fresh and sweet, not bland and they even have fish flown in from Japan. Wagyu too but we didn’t try it. Don’t expect large North American servings but for us it was just enough. The decor is older but clean. Will be back!“
