“We came because you have good reviews. We found out that Gyu Hito is an amazing go-to-place for delicious Japanese AYCE BBQ! The restaurant has a modern feel to it and the staff is incredibly attentive to our food needs. Such good service! The food itself is so tasty (so many different types of seasoned meats) and there are many yummy sides you can order as well! The most thing I like is the fruit tea, best combination with BBQ. Dessert is also something to look forward to because you can choose your favourite Melona popsicle and have it with a sweet creme brule dessert!“

“I recently visited QOO Sushi in Scarborough, Toronto, and I was genuinely impressed with the quality of the food. The sushi was fresh and had a really good balance of flavour and texture. The fish tasted clean and fresh, and the ingredients did not feel cheap or low quality. I also really liked the sushi rice. It had a good texture and seasoning without being overly sweet or overpowering. In my opinion, properly prepared rice makes a big difference when it comes to sushi, and QOO Sushi did this very well.

Compared with many of the other sushi restaurants I have tried around Scarborough, I found QOO Sushi to be noticeably better in terms of both taste and food quality. There are several casual sushi places in the area that are convenient and affordable, but sometimes the quality can feel inconsistent. At QOO Sushi, however, the food felt much more carefully prepared. The ingredients tasted fresher, the flavours were more balanced, and the overall presentation was more appealing.

“The food is quite good and reasonably priced. The tonkatsu burger in particular remains juicy inside the cutlet, but is loaded with toppings and pairs well with their own house mayo blend.
Be aware that seating is bar style and limited - it is not the most comfortable place to sit.“

“So many vegan sushi options, made fresh. Portions sizes are also huge and they are very generous with the fresh ingredients - especially the avocado! We didn’t realize this is more of a take-out place and not a sit-down restaurant (my own fault for not doing proper research beforehand) and as we aren’t local to the area and it was pouring rain when we got there, taking our food to go wasn’t really an option. The lovely lady who served us was kind enough to set up 4 chairs around the one table they had in the shop and really did her best to ensure we had a “real meal” that closely resembled a full restaurant experience in the small space at the front of the shop, which we really appreciated!“

Sushi was fresh and it’s korean style sushi so it’s never frozen and served immediately. Fish had a nice springy bite.

The poke was actually really good. I think it may be one of the best poke bowls I have had in toronto.

Parking is in abundance but it can also be difficult when it’s meal times as there are so many restaurants and a medical clinic in the plaza.

Service was great. Owner was nice and friendly and got our orders in quick. Sat beside the sushi bar so got a first hand look at him making the rolls.

“The best thing about this restaurant is definitely the staff and the service.

I actually regret not asking for the names of some staff who helped create such a welcoming atmosphere during our AYCE dinner. If I see them again next time, I’ll definitely ask.
There was a female server who gave a great smile and was politely accommodating when I accidentally placed the wrong order. There was also a man who seemed to be the manager at the host stand, as well as another server who proactively checked in on us.
Even though they were clearly busy, they didn’t just feel like people bringing food to the table. I genuinely felt like I was being taken care of. I also noticed quite a few people dining alone, and I wonder if that’s partly because the staff make each guest feel comfortable and welcome, even when dining by themselves.

As for the food, the sashimi was a little watery, but having octopus sashimi was def a highlight for me. I also thought the amount of rice for the sushi was moderate, not too much.
The grilled fish section was another pleasant surprise. The mackerel and flounder were nicely fatty and yummy, so good that I couldn’t resist ordering a rice bowl to go with them.
And the deep-fried Oreo for dessert was downright dangerous... I was already completely full, but I could have kept eating them forever!“

“I’ve never had an issue with Mac Sushi.Always fresh, I go around lunch time. Not necessarily looking for the after 5pm special.Salmon is always buttery - they use fresh fish allll the time in my opinion & Spicy salmon roll is so flavourful.I have a better time with Mac Sushi over some of my typical sushi restaurants. I hate thick cuts of salmon so Mac Sushi knows that they are doing and knows how to cut a decent piece of fish for eating.The customer service is always great, I’m never rushed, the attendants are patient with me and so kind.I have my go to spots to get a nice snack at the STC and Mac sushi is one of them. The price is also decent for me. No complaint on pricing. Also always so clean!“

For all-you-can-eat dinner, get everything including unlimited sashimi, or for lunch get everything except Sashimi, but at reduced price. Soft drink and tea included too. You can line up for your table online before getting there to save time. Order from phone while eating or they provide tablet if you don't have a phone. Sushi and Sashimi very fresh. I can taste the green tea in Matcha ice cream, so good.“
