“The sushi rice is seasoned with red vinegar, and the medium fatty tuna, fatty tuna, scallops, sea urchin, and minced tuna hand rolls are all incredibly stunning! The chef emphasizes the use of Japanese-imported rice and fish for both sushi and sashimi, ensuring everything is exceptionally fresh! Moreover, their homemade pickled ginger is absolutely delightful. It’s not overly pungent like typical ones, and the sweetness is perfectly balanced! Highly recommend sushi gin?“
“Curry and fried pork chop are both very good $24inclusiveWhat a big contrast compared to the broccoli and white rice next to itA big plate of fried pork chop with two pieces as big as a man's handAfter eating the second piece, I started to feel a little bored?I'll try ramen next time*The tableware is super clean and ordered immediately“
“Great Omakase experience that does not require 24hr pre-book. You can just walk in and order Omakase course just like in Japan.Beside the main sushi course. Small side dishes are pretty impressive, for my own experience, this is important part to make the difference between Omakase restaurants.“
“Trust me when I tell you that I've tried pretty much every single poke place in the city and GTA. Poke Box definitely has the best quality fish ingredients and overall reasonable cost for what you get for a healthy, great lunch or dinner. When you can't leave the country to go to California or Miami this is the place to get that fixe!!“
“This cute little establishment offers a wonderful selection of poke bowls and ramen bowls.Upon entering, I was immediately captivated by the cheerful and colorful modern oil paintings that adorned the walls. They added a vibrant and lively ambiance to the restaurant, making it a joyous place to dine.My friend and I had the Karaage Bowl with sushi rice and the Crab Poke Bowl with salad. They were such a visual feast for the eyes. The bowls came with a vibrant assortment of vegetables created a refreshing and healthy dish. The service was warm too!“
“Honestly, one of my favorite Japanese sushi restaurant-MIKI ^^, the quality of food are amazing every time I visiting, everyone is working as professional and very intensive,My portion of sashimi. rolls are always the freshest! ? worth the money,“
“A cute mart that sells maki hand rolls. The rolls are fresher during the day, I would suggest going during the day instead of at night, the second time I returned at night and the rice was a bit harder. I do appreciate the fresh seaweed and the fresh sashimi plus the nice variety but kind of pricey for almost $5 a hand roll.“
“Food was delicious. I gave this a 4-star because I feel the price is too high for such little ingredients included. I got the Pork Spicy Garlic ramen - it was great, but I would have enjoyed it more if, let's say, a seasoned egg was included. For the price I paid, I don't think including something like an egg to this ramen is too much to ask for.“
“Ivan, nothing short of spectacular! Takes care of us each time and goes above and beyond. Please let me know if I can give a him a reference for any job in the future. Please also let me know if he’s looking into new jobs, so I can hire him at my business.“
“Great food for great price at a very cute family run cafe. The service was very warm and friendly, and the theme and decor was very fun! The Shiganshina District Aburi platter was a standout favourite for my wife and I.Highly recommended! We will definitely be back again!“
“This place is a gem. It’s so rare to find good food these days because of inflation. We went twice and everything we tried was amazing. They use very good quality ingredients and their dishes are well balanced. I really liked the Hana roll and the Beef Udon soup. They must have a really good chef in the kitchen! Make sure to go to the Markham location though.“
“The best sushi takeout spot in Markham hands down. The fish is incredibly fresh and the ingredients are very high quality. We've ordered from them twice now, and both times the estimated pickup time has been spot on.Parking: Lots of parking spaces.“
“Sushi here was amazing, no bout. My go to japanese Restaurant. I had started eating here since I was young, and grew up eating sushi at this restaurant. This place knocks out all other competitors with ease. Their service is fast, their washrooms are clean, and most importantly, their food is absolultly mind blowing. Please give it a try.“
“The black garlic, shio and chicken ramen were all amazing. The chicken and pork were perfectly cooked and still tender. The ramen noodles were a great bouncy texture, not soft. The onsen egg was also perfectly cooked. The staff are dedicated and pleasant. The prices are average, $15/$16/$17, typical for ramen places. The portion is also average. 10% off with cash! Can’t wait to come back and try other ramen bowls.“
“Food was good and when I called to confirm pick up, they were friendly and even called me back when I was running a bit late for pick up. We really enjoyed the pressed sushi and the party platters - good variety and delicious.Parking: The parking was a bit difficult, had to park behind the shops and restaurants.“
“I'm a loyal customer for the taste of their sushi. Authentic and simple and the rice is seasoned well. Most fusion places season the rice too lightly because of all the sauces and tempura bits they're going to add. This is a takeout place only. There are a limited number of boxed sushi made each day. If you're arriving after 12:00 you take your chances. Call ahead and reserve the sushi box you want. Cash and debit only.“
“So glad I found this place. Had shrimp tempura, Red dragon roll and a terriyaki bento box. This restaurant is probably one of the few sushi places I know left in the GTA that is still fairly reasonably priced. The Atmosphere is nothing special and the place is small... maybe 6 or 7 tables and not very lively. But I am rating it highly for the great value. It won't be the best sushi you find in Toronto by far, but would I come back? 100%. They deserve to be recognized for not charging an arm and a leg for 5 pcs of tempura lol“
“Forget the mainstream "tiktok pmall onigiris", these are waaay better - they're well stuffed and fairly priced for what they are. I would suggest you to go a bit after opening hours so they can stock up most if not all the flavors. The sushi is also pretty fresh and delicious - I've been going here for years and cannot reccomend this place enough.“
“Tried the inari and wow was it packed with flavours. Each inari had a different taste depending on the toppings. And each topping was poping with flavours. The tofu wrap had a hint of sweetness. The rice inside was soft and moist which also had its own flavour. $16 for a box of 4.“
“What a nice hidden gem! The food is always delicious. I usually go in the evening for a meal. It was my first time going for brunch. I suggest going super early as it is a tiny place. Parking can be scarce. The staff are so friendly. The prices are reasonable. It will always be my go to place.“

“I've recently discovered just how much I loved Japanese-style curry, so I was obviously quite excited to check out Cafe Green Tea in J-Town. It's a small place attached to a market, and you order your food and then wait for your number to be called. I decided to go with the Curry w/Pork option. After about a ten minute wait, our food was handed to us. This is one excellent curry. It's super flavorful and works really well with the plentiful white rice provided. The breaded and fried piece of pork takes the whole thing over the top. It's just a really good dish. And well priced, too, at around 12 bucks.“
“I love sushi and I grew up eating it. I've experienced from a wide range of quality and I have to say, Chi SAN Sushi is up there. We chose 7 kinds of fishes and one sweet shrimp and requested they slice it for us. They were very helpful and knowledgeable. Compared to the prices in Montreal, this is a great deal! We even got to taste some expensive fishes like Toro tuna and even fish liver. But my favorite has to be that beautiful and incredibly delicious bento box (105$). It has uni, mackerel, salmon roe, tuna and more along with well seasoned rice. Truly a box of jewel.I only have praise for this place and highly recommend it! Freshness and quality guaranteed.“
“We started going to this restaurant since covid-19. Honestly there were a lot of choices in Markham, and Ikon was not the only sushi restaurant we ordered our food. But things have changed because we can hardly find better restaurant in Markham. There are restaurants that focus on lots of menu choices, some name their food with unheard titles, and some raise their prices to make you feel theirs are imaginative "premium". But Ikon comes in simple packages. They give you the max quality of food in simple menu and shockingly reasonable price. The chefs and the owner (tall woman) always dress in clean and simple outfits, and then greet you with a warming tone as if you were a good friend. As a bonus, take-out orders come with a Japanese soft clothes to carry your food. The whole package is simple and beautiful. Thr portion is bigger than many places. Sadly not many restaurants are like this. Disclaimer: I don't own any restaurant. I do not know any of the staff members and the owners. Japanese food is our family's preferred cuisine.“
“This gem of a restaurant is hidden in a tiny strip mall, however, the interiors are so gorgeous! For starters, we had the miso soup, vegetable gyoza, shrimp tempura along with Okinomiyaki and chicken Karagae and it was so delicious ? Since we were a party of 6, we felt it was good to order the Party Tray of RC3 62 pieces and truly loved the various sushi assortments ❤️❤️ Would highly recommend this venue as it is a perfect restaurant to bring family and friends ?“
“Authentic Japanese izakaya in uptown. Skewers were perfectly grilled with top graded Bincho charcoal and all dishes were well served. The seasonal special dish, Shirako Ponzu, was a surprise to me!!! I feel hungry now upon posting this. Bon appetite!“
“BBQ eel (unagi) rolls tasted pretty good and the prices were quite nice. Pieces were a bit small though and the wasabi was noticeably thin in consistency which wasn’t very pleasant. The staff were great, food arrived on time and everything was otherwise worth it!“
“Hidden sushi gem in Thornhill. Fast, friendly, clean. Best take out for sushi. Deals for lunch menu. Lots of parking. Delicious foodVegetarian options: Lots veg options for sushi.Parking: In small plaza plenty of parking.Kid-friendliness: Family owned and operated. Very kind service.“
“This place is in the corner of the supermarket. There are Japanese foods such as ramen, udon, curry, pork cutlet, and bento. The price is reasonable and the taste is ordinary but full of Japanese feel. I love the half and half menu here. It's great because you can choose from two different menu items and eat them at once. I love the takoyaki here so I definitely eat it. The interior is a bit cluttered, but I like the food here and go there sometimes.“
“Came here with my husband. I had duck Ramen and he had the duck egg's Benedict. The duck Ramen honestly could've been better. The duck was very dry so I'm assuming they had used chicken breast regardless it's still worth a try.But the duck egg's Benedict?Oh my lord.It tasted like steak!! I couldn't believe it!Husband wishes he had more of the tater tots but still, that plate was divine. Thank you. We'll definitely come back here again.“
“"Fujisan Japanese Restaurant deserves every bit of its 5-star rating! From the moment you step in, you're greeted with a warm welcome. The sushi and sashimi are fresh and delicious, beautifully presented like works of art. The menu offers a wide variety of options, catering to every palate. The service is impeccable, with attentive staff who go above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience. Whether you're a sushi aficionado or new to Japanese cuisine, Fujisan is the place to be. Can't wait to visit again!"“
