“Cute take-out only handroll shop! I find myself frequenting this spot more often than I thought I would since it's great for a quick and easy lunch. Buy 3 hand rolls, get one beverage for free. Prices are about $3-8 per handroll, depending on what you pick (I.e. veggie roll versus uni). Parking can be tricky in this plaza at times especially during lunch!“

“I LOVE CAFE MOZAIKO.
The attention to detail on the sushi naming and packaging. Fish is always fresh and my personal fave is the torched sushi and tofu pockets. Would get these on repeat everytime. The location near Cathedral town is spacious for indoor and outdoor seating. Lots of drinks to choose from too to pair with the sushi.
If you love Anime and Sushi, this is the spot.

They even had a featured artist alley sticker area by the cashier supporting other local businesses.

My partner and I had an incredible sushi omakase meal. Every piece was better than the last and featured a variety of flavours and textures. The shrimp and otoro melted in your mouth. The uni was a symphony. The sea breem and horse mackerel each had a delightful soft bite to them.

“Got a scallop hand roll to go, for a little snack, and it was really good. The scallop was soft and fresh, with two pieces on top and I feel like there was more on the inside, bc it felt like I could feel more scallop texture within the rice. The hand roll was warm as well, which some people might not like but I liked it, and sushi rice isn't supposed to be cold anyway. Only $5 if you pay cash.“

“Went for lunch on a weekday, we are the only customer. We ordered Sashimi bento and beef teriyaki bento. The sashimi was fresh and came with tempura and California rolls.
The beef was a bit rough and the bento does not come with any rolls as most restaurants.
Overall good price for sashimi bento but not the beef bento. The service was great.“

“I forgot what top tier sushi tasted like. Their menu is very limited, but everything is masterfully made. The rice is nicely cooked, the pieces are not too big and the rice isn’t too packed. Every slice of fish is exactly the same size. Those details are often missing from other take out sushi places in the city.“

“We started going to this restaurant since covid-19. Honestly there were a lot of choices in Markham, and Ikon was not the only sushi restaurant we ordered our food. But things have changed because we can hardly find better restaurant in Markham. There are restaurants that focus on lots of menu choices, some name their food with unheard titles, and some raise their prices to make you feel theirs are imaginative "premium". But Ikon comes in simple packages. They give you the max quality of food in simple menu and shockingly reasonable price. The chefs and the owner (tall woman) always dress in clean and simple outfits, and then greet you with a warming tone as if you were a good friend. As a bonus, take-out orders come with a Japanese soft clothes to carry your food. The whole package is simple and beautiful. Thr portion is bigger than many places. Sadly not many restaurants are like this. Disclaimer: I don't own any restaurant. I do not know any of the staff members and the owners. Japanese food is our family's preferred cuisine.“

“Happened to see the sign for this sushi place as I was going to the Low Carb store . It's a little hidden gem that shares its space with a bakery , the owner/sushi chef asked if I wanted to eat there and I said yes and to my surprise there was a little table that he cleaned and set me up . The sushi was very very good . The quality better than most sushi places that are in same price range , it was a perfect amount of sushi and sashimi. I will for sure order from this chef again . Wonderful service ! Most people that I saw were buying trays of sushi from him.“

“I picked up the Chirashi Don here. The price was reasonable and the quality was excellent. Service was friendly and efficient. They provide chopsticks napkins and shoyu. The Don has the customary little dab of wasabi so we sat at a table and chowed down. Nice!“

“Regular Sushi Don, has three Salmon, one tuna, two Hokkigai, two Tamago, four pieces of other fishes, one shrimp, one fried shrimp head, and some fish roe. Slices of Salmon are big and fresh. Very good value. Salmon Don is great for Salmon lovers. Katsu rice is okay and the Katsu is a bit thin but taste okay. Chicken Katsu Don is a bit too salty. Dragon rolls look good. Lunch menu combos are good. Have not tried other food yet.“

“I will be very fair about my experience. We went there at 8:30pm. There were only 3 table of customers which included us. We ate til 10:30pm. Here is why.

The first order came fairly quick, but the 2nd order took a lot longer. We learnt our lesson so we immediately made 3rd order but still took a long time. That’s why we ate for 2 hours. I actually got hungrier waiting for the 2nd.

I would recommend you make large order on your first, but then again you are running the risk of your food getting cold but trust me, your 2nd order will come a lot later. You will have to push the waitress for it or your 2nd order will take forever to come.
3 table 1 waitress and the kitchen is having a hard time to keep up. If you decided to go and see 3+ table of customers, then you better make large order on your first.

Now serving speed aside, their food is great. But some food item on the menu is out of stock which is a bit disappointing.

I wanted to give 3 star but all you can eat skewer is pretty rare and besides I did ate over 60 skewers myself and wasn’t kicked out.

Here are some of the things, expect certain orders end up not coming.

They have a rule, they’d start charging over 100g worth of food not eaten. So before you make your order, ask the waitress if all orders came. That way you can keep track of your orders. (Some order end up not coming then you can reorder it or skip it)

It’s been 2 hours since I left and no stomach ache so the foods are fine.

It is $29.99 all you can eat starting 8:30pm which is reasonable. I would rate it 3.7 which is fairly close to the average rating.

I would definitely revisit the place some time in the future, since the serving speed, lost order and lack of supply can all be fixed by making huge order on the first one.

But remember don’t waste food even though it is all you can eat, that’s just courtesy and respect for foods.“

“Quite a little hidden gem tucked inside the plaza. It’s a cozy little Japanese restaurant with very good sushi, sashimi, and other cooked dishes that I enjoy returning to with nearby friends. Sometimes they get a bit busy and a tiny bit slow but they’re usually pretty fast at servicing customers. Great joint!“
