Even though it’s mainly takeout, the ingredient quality is noticeably better than many dine-in sushi restaurants. The fish is very fresh, and you can truly see and taste the difference.

We were fortunate enough to experience Chef Daisuke’s remarkable culinary artistry before the restaurant’s final service. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality by a team whose attentiveness and kindness set the tone for the entire evening.

The menu was exceptional. Each course seemed to surpass the last, showcasing thoughtful technique, beautiful balance, and impeccable ingredients. Every bite was memorable, and the carefully curated selection of unique sake added another layer of discovery to the experience.

“We came because you have good reviews. We found out that Gyu Hito is an amazing go-to-place for delicious Japanese AYCE BBQ! The restaurant has a modern feel to it and the staff is incredibly attentive to our food needs. Such good service! The food itself is so tasty (so many different types of seasoned meats) and there are many yummy sides you can order as well! The most thing I like is the fruit tea, best combination with BBQ. Dessert is also something to look forward to because you can choose your favourite Melona popsicle and have it with a sweet creme brule dessert!“

The 4-broth pot is too small, and the vegetables are cut so long that it's really hard to fit them into the compartments to cook. The most frustrating part is that they got rid of the crème brûlée and milk pudding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

“Saw this place on TikTok late at night and booked it on impulse, no regrets.

There were three lunch omakase options available that day, and we went with the sashimi nigiri lunch. The course started with miso soup, followed by a sashimi appetizer, then 8 pieces of nigiri and a temaki. We even got ice cream at the end. It doesn’t look like a lot, but it was surprisingly filling.

The omakase was served in a separate room that seats around 10 people (I think?). Service was attentive throughout, servers constantly checked in to make sure everything was okay and we enjoyed every part of the experience, even the lady at the door was super friendly. At $55, it’s an insane deal. No super high-end fish obviously, but the experience and setting alone make it more than worth it. Highly recommend!!“

“good value and portion of in the town richmond hill ontario. we went early for dinner thus service is better and quieter. the chicken karaage is diff from traditional ones as not using corn starch but used batted coating; surprisingly good thin coating juicy and the wasabi dressing
was matching perfectly. the beef mushroom cream sauce pasta is good too but a bit heavy on the cheese and the cream. a sharing dish. the pork loin set with the spicy demi glacéd sauce was good in generous portion and cutlet coating. somehow a bit dry on the loin. the sad was fresh; high light is the spicy sauce, we brought the leftover sauce home for other seafood dish. seating area is spacious; the music was a bit loud. a good place for dating and gathering. i will return for other dishes. cheers“

“We recently visited Atto Sushi and were honestly blown away. Since the new owner took over, the quality of the food and service has become absolutely exceptional. Every single dish we ordered was prepared perfectly and tasted incredibly fresh and delicious.

We’d been to Hug Sushi’s OG location years ago and finally tried this dine-in spot. Now I wish we’d come sooner! The all-you-can-eat dinner features their well-balanced house special sushi and are decently small allowing you to try more variety.

We enjoyed the hug roll (a salmon avocado roll topped w/ torched salmon + ikura), the crazy roll (with a mound of crabmeat), a BBQ eel roll and even a honey mustard roll for fun that somehow works. Other good picks were the spider roll featuring soft shell crab and the scallop sushi. The sashimi here is thick cut like it should be so you can taste real fresh umami flavours.

We were too intrigued by their sushi selection to try much else. However, grilled shrimp skewers were crisp & well-seasoned and the mango shrimp & salmon salads were refreshing starters. Tempuras were decent as well. For dessert, they have mango sago and deep fried milk which is rare for AYCE sushi but matches another good nearby spot in Maple. Everything arrived quickly.

So what’s the verdict? We’ll definitely be back again at Hug Sushi. Just overlook the lack of interior tidiness and you’re bound to enjoy too!“

Fresh sushi and Japanese owed which is hard to find in Toronto (mostly Korean owned). They import their Chu Toro Tuna from Japan and it is exquisite. This is a gem in Toronto, a must try.“
