We were fortunate enough to experience Chef Daisuke’s remarkable culinary artistry before the restaurant’s final service. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality by a team whose attentiveness and kindness set the tone for the entire evening.

“Had Valentines dinner there last night. The first dinner package was mainly sashimi but the changed it to sushi for us at a reasonable extra cost . The food was excellent and the wait staff were attentive and friendly. Will definitely go back. An extra was that the waitress who greeted us was Japanese.“

I ordered Sushi Combo B (with substitutions for shellfish), Roll Platter S, Hash avocado roll and veggie spring rolls, for 5 people. The sushi is affordable but still tastes fresh! “Had an amazing omakase experience at Sushi Kiwami. Every course was thoughtfully prepared, and you could really tell the chef paid attention to every detail. The seafood was incredibly fresh, with each piece highlighting the natural flavor of the fish rather than relying on heavy seasoning.

Some of my favorites were the beautifully scored squid, the rich uni and crab course, and the perfectly balanced nigiri throughout the meal. The sake pairing was also excellent and complemented the progression of the courses very well.

The atmosphere was calm and intimate, and the service struck a great balance between being attentive and letting you enjoy the meal at your own pace. Overall, one of the best omakase experiences I’ve had in Toronto. Definitely worth visiting if you’re looking for high-quality Edomae sushi.“

We ordered the sashimi, corn kakiage, chicken karaage, cold-served agedashi eggplant, beef tataki, and taro toast. Everything was absolutely delicious, and you can really taste the high-quality ingredients.

The atmosphere was amazing as well, warm, cozy, and inviting. It’s the kind of place where you don’t want to leave because you’re enjoying the food, the vibe, and the overall experience so much!“

“Take a moment and go to Gerrard and Broadview where this gem of a restaurant resides. Oji Seichi is a quaint little Japanese restaurant that serves the most delicious Chicken Katsu sandwich and ramen. The sandwich was fried perfectly and the chicken was so moist! We asked foe the tonkatsu sauce and mayo on the side and added it ourselves. Its the perfect sandwich.

Featured in the pic is their Oji Classic Shio Ramen. The broth is clear, savory, with roasted pork belly, a beautifully cooked egg thats still runny in the centre and noodles that are still a bit al dente.

Best of all, the staff who was here when we came was lovely. She was professional, friendly, attentive, and courteous. Made us feel very welcomed and relaxed to enjoy our food.

Keep in mind the space is small so there might be a line up but dont let that deter you. Easily accessible by TTC.

“The BOGO deal for salmon sashimi on Sunday is fantastic - super thick cuts of fatty salmon! I think their rolls were pretty mid tho.

They also have karaoke booths in the back (priced base on room size) that are paid per hour, and separate from the dining bill.“

Only disadvantage is the smell of your clothes due to the open kitchen. Food so cheap and so yummy! I would definitely go again when I visit Toronto again. Make sure you order the Japanese omelette wit shaved tuna on top! The Tuna comes with supplement but is so worth it! The staff is down to earth and very friendly and helpfull!
