“I’ve been many times for their cash special, you can get 24 pieces of sushi for $15 if you play your cards right. Their platters are also great. Large chunks of fish for sashimi. Much better than the sushi served at their market in union.“

“To-Ne Sushi in Toronto is genuinely amazing. This little spot completely changed how I think about sushi in the city. The fish is unreal — buttery toro that melts, sweet scallop that tastes straight from the ocean, and salmon that has zero of that “fishy” aftertaste you get at mediocre places. The rice is warm, perfectly seasoned, and packed with the kind of care you only see when a chef actually respects the craft.

Their aburi is a standout. Seared salmon belly with a light miso glaze hits that perfect mix of smoky, crispy, and rich without being heavy. Hand rolls come out with nori that’s still warm and crisp, not soggy. If you sit at the bar, do the omakase. The chef picks each piece, explains what you’re eating, and paces everything so every bite feels intentional.

The vibe is intimate and low-key — no loud music, no gimmicks. Just good people making incredible sushi. Service is sharp but friendly. You’re never rushed, never waiting too long, and they actually seem happy you’re there.

For the quality, it’s worth every dollar. I’ve been multiple times and it’s been flawless each visit. If you’re in Toronto and actually care about sushi, skip the hype spots and book To-Ne. It’ll ruin other places for you, in the best way.“

They effortlessly accommodated my dietary needs without sacrificing any flavor or quality. This was my second time dining here but I brought guests this time who absolutely loved the meal, especially with the wine pairing.“

“I came here with a friend on a Wednesday evening. The service was prompt. We got a nice booth for just us two and the food was great. It’s a great location too, conveniently close to TTC.

“Yasu is a restaurant where you take guests that you want to impress. I went here for my birthday and it definitely blew my mind.

I love how attentive and tailored the service was. They also had wasabi root as well!

Omakase is one of my favourites as you get a bit of knowledge on what you’re consuming and where it’s sourced.

“Of course, we came to check out the ears in Toronto. We looked at the best reviews, although there aren't many yet, but the place is good. We sat outside, alone, which added to the atmosphere. We ordered 40 pieces and ate our fill, a delicious meal. Thank you for the food, good sushi 👍👍“

“Killer place. We live downtown and have cycled through every place here. Brainiac is from Japan, I'm from Vancouver where Japanese restaurants are everywhere. This place easily fits in the firmament of delicious spots to grab the best nigiri, maki, wakame and tempura. Highest quality, perfectly presented by cheery, efficient floor staff with the itamae overseeing everything. We can't recommend it highly enough. AAA+“

“On 21/03/2026 I ordered a sushi platter via ritual.

I live at 2707 Yonge street. The website shows new location on Yonge & Eglinton.

I placed my order fully assuming that this will be the location which is walking distance from my apartment. The address listed was 1560 Yonge street and being new to the country I believed this was the same one that is walking distance from my apartment.

Unfortunately that was not the case, it was the Yonge and St Clair location. It was too late and too far for me to go as I had no one to babysit my son.

When I requested a refund from ritual they denied me flat out as the address is clearly listed at the top and the food was made.

The restaurant however was very understanding and even went as far to have my order made at the Yonge-Eglinton location.

A special mention to Victoria who was patient and understanding of my situation.

What I really enjoy about this place is that their sushi has its own identity. It’s not traditional or classic sushi, and that’s exactly what makes it interesting. The combinations are creative, flavorful, and different from what you find at a typical sushi restaurant.

“I don't eat sushi, but Sushi Bar is still my go-to for a warm, tasty meal!
My favourite dishes to order are their chicken katsu lunch and dinner sets. The lunch set comes with katsu, rice, miso soup, age tofu and a gyoza along with a salad. The food is flavourful and the portion is generous.
The tofu alone is so tasty that I'm going to start ordering it on its own! Crispy on the outside, soft and silky on the inside and topped with a delicious sauce!
The katsu dinner set is the same, but comes only with the soup, salad and rice. However, the portion is very generous and the food is delicious as always.
The staff is always courteous and friendly. I love visiting this restaurant and I highly encourage you to visit as well!!“

“I was looking for something to have for lunch that wasn’t a sandwich or anything like that, and I found this great place!

When I arrived, the owner immediately asked what I wanted, told me that miso soup was included, asked if it was for takeout, and packed everything quickly and neatly (and very inexpensive!).

“Food was amazing!! The tempura is possibly the best I’ve had. Miso soup was great. Hand rolls we ordered were all an over average. The bento box was reasonably priced and just overall very impressive.

Our server was on top of everything. I ordered miso soup and the bento combo on the app, but she went out of her way to come to the table to let me know the bento came with miso soup and that I wasn’t making a double order. She was so sweet. I was very appreciative of that.

The prices are extremely reasonable.
