Explained each dish as they were served, with detail on fish, preparation (smoked, cured, aged), fish cut, fish origin location etc.. very complete Omakase and ended the meal with delicious ube ice cream!! Wish I brought a small container to bring some home (hint). Must return for 2nd or 3rd visit!!“

“We originally found this sushi restaurant because of its excellent reviews. Funny enough, on our first visit we accidentally went to a different sushi restaurant a few doors down the street. After finishing our meal there, we realized we had gone to the wrong place, so we came back to To - ne Sushi. That was three years ago, and since then we have been loyal customers.

Every time we visit Toronto from Vancouver, we make a special trip here just for their Spicy Tuna Salad, Spicy Salmon Salad, sashimi, and sushi rolls. Another wonderful discovery was their Clear Soup and Miso Soup. They may sound simple, but somehow they managed to surprise us and quickly became some of our favorites.

The service has always been exceptional. What impressed us the most during our most recent visit was that the owner remembered us even though our last visit had been five months earlier. Not only did he remember us, but he also remembered what we usually order and even which table we like to sit at. That level of attention says a lot about how dedicated he is to his restaurant and how much he genuinely cares about his customers.

He kindly offered us ice cream several times, and while the ice cream was wonderful, what truly touched us was being remembered as returning customers. A few times we visited when he wasn’t there, but regardless, we have always been welcomed by a friendly team that consistently provides outstanding service and pays attention to every detail.

If you are looking for a restaurant with excellent service, very reasonable prices for Toronto, and incredibly fresh food, this is the place to visit. We look forward to returning again and again whenever we are back in Toronto.

“A memorable first omakase experience in Canada. The tasting opened with elevated appetizers including uni, caviar, blackened cod, and ikura, though the traditional chawanmushi was absent (I expected it for sure). The sushi course included 12 pieces of seasonal nigiri and a rich three-cut tuna flight highlighting otoro and chutoro. The highlights were undoubtedly the lobster sushi and the uni gunkan maki. Both of my sons loved them and talked about them even today. A delicate chestnut ice cream served as the perfect sweet finish to the evening“

“I have been to a couple of Japanese restaurants on Bloor st. but Kokoro sushi house is best place to get sushi around U of T by far. I tried CRAB DAY ROLL, DYNAMITE ROLL, and RAINBOW DRAGON ROLL with my wife. The food was FRESH and tasted EXELLENT. Portion sizes were generous. The staff was friendly and prices were decent as well. “On 21/03/2026 I ordered a sushi platter via ritual.

I live at 2707 Yonge street. The website shows new location on Yonge & Eglinton.

I placed my order fully assuming that this will be the location which is walking distance from my apartment. The address listed was 1560 Yonge street and being new to the country I believed this was the same one that is walking distance from my apartment.

Unfortunately that was not the case, it was the Yonge and St Clair location. It was too late and too far for me to go as I had no one to babysit my son.

When I requested a refund from ritual they denied me flat out as the address is clearly listed at the top and the food was made.

The restaurant however was very understanding and even went as far to have my order made at the Yonge-Eglinton location.

A special mention to Victoria who was patient and understanding of my situation.

Everything is priced well and is made to order. I would highly recommend making a reservation around dinner time because they do get quite busy on weeknights.

I had the lunch special 13 and i was very surprised but expected nothing less with the quality, freshness and presentation of my meal. The butterfish was soft and delicate, the tuna was tasty and the salmon was some of the freshest salmon I’ve ever had. “Tokyo Sushi has been one of my go-to local spots for the last couple of years, as it was one of the first places I went to after moving into the area while in university. It's a local gem that I've brought everyone I know to. They always have amazing staff, a warm environment, and of course, amazing food! I highly recommend taking any suggestions given by the owner or staff as they definitely know best! The Green Dragon roll, age dashi tofu, spicy tuna don, gyoza, tuna sashimi and bento boxes are among my personal favourites, but honestly, everything is great!“

“Killer place. We live downtown and have cycled through every place here. Brainiac is from Japan, I'm from Vancouver where Japanese restaurants are everywhere. The afternoon light filtering through the restaurant made me feel like I was a tourist at a small oceanside restaurant somewhere in Okinawa Prefecture.
