“I stopped by one afternoon with my mother for a little nibble and was pleasantly surprised. We ordered the Torched Salmonand Traffic Light rolls, and they were so fantastic that we came back the very next day for more.

The pieces are generous in size, incredibly fresh, and packed with flavor. The service was outstanding—everyone was so friendly and accommodating, which made the experience even better.

“I have been to a couple of Japanese restaurants on Bloor st. but Kokoro sushi house is best place to get sushi around U of T by far. I tried CRAB DAY ROLL, DYNAMITE ROLL, and RAINBOW DRAGON ROLL with my wife. The food was FRESH and tasted EXELLENT. Portion sizes were generous. The staff was friendly and prices were decent as well. “Had Valentines dinner there last night. The first dinner package was mainly sashimi but the changed it to sushi for us at a reasonable extra cost . The food was excellent and the wait staff were attentive and friendly. Will definitely go back. An extra was that the waitress who greeted us was Japanese.“

“On 21/03/2026 I ordered a sushi platter via ritual.

I live at 2707 Yonge street. The website shows new location on Yonge & Eglinton.

I placed my order fully assuming that this will be the location which is walking distance from my apartment. The address listed was 1560 Yonge street and being new to the country I believed this was the same one that is walking distance from my apartment.

Unfortunately that was not the case, it was the Yonge and St Clair location. It was too late and too far for me to go as I had no one to babysit my son.

When I requested a refund from ritual they denied me flat out as the address is clearly listed at the top and the food was made.

The restaurant however was very understanding and even went as far to have my order made at the Yonge-Eglinton location.

A special mention to Victoria who was patient and understanding of my situation.

“The sushi was some of the freshest I’ve had — every bite was so clean and flavorful. The sashimi practically melted in my mouth, and the rolls were perfectly balanced without being overloaded with sauce. You can really taste the quality and craftsmanship.

Everything is priced well and is made to order. I would highly recommend making a reservation around dinner time because they do get quite busy on weeknights.

“I had the absolute pleasure of sitting down for a late afternoon lunch at Kami sushi! Sunny was delightful, respectful and very engaging to talk to. I had the lunch special 13 and i was very surprised but expected nothing less with the quality, freshness and presentation of my meal. The butterfish was soft and delicate, the tuna was tasty and the salmon was some of the freshest salmon I’ve ever had. In a world where restaurants are copy and paste from one another, Kami sushi separates themselves from the pack by making your experience special from the top down. I will be back and I can’t wait!“

This place easily fits in the firmament of delicious spots to grab the best nigiri, maki, wakame and tempura. Highest quality, perfectly presented by cheery, efficient floor staff with the itamae overseeing everything. We can't recommend it highly enough. AAA+“

The afternoon light filtering through the restaurant made me feel like I was a tourist at a small oceanside restaurant somewhere in Okinawa Prefecture. There was something calm and airy about the space that made the whole experience very memorable - it was dreamy.

I ordered the sushi pizza and asked if it could be made half salmon and half tuna. The tuna outstanding. It was incredibly soft and fresh, with a clean flavor that was very satisfying. Every bite felt refreshing.
