“I went here a few weeks ago for a Friday dinner with my partner and we had a wonderful experience. I am on the elimination phase of the low FODMAP diet -- in other words, not much I can eat -- and the staff here were very accommodating to my needs. “This used to be one of my favorite places that I would visit regularly at least once every week. However, this time I was a bit disappointed as some of the sushi rice felt quite dry, especially in my favorite roll, the California Crunchy Roll.

Smoked spicy salmon sushi was fresh and delicious as always. I also felt like they might have changed their spicy mayo, which slightly affected the overall taste.

Overall, it’s still a place I usually enjoy, but this visit wasn’t quite at the same level as before.“

“I waited purposely to rate this place the day after we ordered. Had left overs and needless to say tasted even better. Ordered the pad Thai. One of the best ones I had in a while. The lemon is nice I added lime and threw more peanuts overall pretty good. Tempura shrimp, and veggies were really good. Yam,mushrooms, and broccoli. Lastly we ordered sushi. Every sushi dish was amazing and the spicy tuna melts velvety and silky in one’s mouth. Our new found favourite place will definitely order again. Thank you for a great experience.“

I ordered the deluxe set. I enjoyed the dynamite and spicy salmon rolls which came with it. What I didn't like in the deluxe set was the cream cheese rolls, which came as a surprise to me as I ate it.

Some of the items were quite expensive. If I recall correctly, there was a boat for $72 which contained about 36 rolls. $2 per roll is probably not a deal I will take.

The restaurant was clean, but the main problem was the flies. They were flying everywhere and landing wherever they please.

“I like the payment flexibility on their ordering site. It’s also pretty straightforward to navigate. My order is always so fresh and tasty too. I always order the same thing from here. Chirashi don… it’s so good and filling. I want to try something new next time. Perhaps something they recommend!“

“The staff are always really friendly, which makes eating in feel relaxed and welcoming. The sashimi is usually pretty decent and fresh, though a couple of the salmon pieces were a bit stringy on this visit.

The chirashi don was the standout for me – for around $24, the portion and quality were totally worth it. I also order from this place a lot on Uber Eats and the food is consistently good when it arrives. Overall, a solid neighborhood sushi spot that I’m happy to keep going back to.“

“I’ve been going to Kibo Sushi for several years now, and it’s hands down my favourite sushi spot for takeout. The platters are a must-try — always fresh, well made, and great value. First time at their Liberty Village Location and it definitely deserves a 5/5!

“Didn’t have any reservations anywhere near our concert venue in a very busy night (Valentine’s Day and family day weekend) so looked up sushi near me and thank Google, it led us to Koi - every bite was so delicious and I’ll be back for the torched scallop, torched salmon and spicy beef inari (pocket) sushi. “The restaurant, service and food at this restaurant was good. However the only downside is that the customers are literally asked to pay a tip. During this difficult period of the pandemic, it is hard to leave a tip. It should be optional but if you do not tip, you are sort of asked "why no tip". This becomes odd and the customer should be given the discretion to tip. This is the reason, I am giving 4 stars to this restaurant.“

Everything was delicious, it is definitely on the more pricey end but I would say it’s worth visiting at least once!“

“Ordered delivery and it arrived super fast since it wasn’t peak time. Everything was packed really well and they were generous with the sauces.

The salmon was very fresh, and the yam roll was so good — the crunchy tempura bits inside gave it an amazing texture. I ordered the 213 set and loved that it came with salad and miso soup too, felt like a great value overall.

This was my second visit, and once again, everything was absolutely amazing. The sushi was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The portion sizes were generous, and the prices are surprisingly affordable for the quality you get.

The staff were so polite and welcoming, which really added to the overall experience. One of the best touches is that with every sushi order, they serve a complimentary miso soup — and it’s genuinely delicious! They also bring you a pot of green tea with your meal, which just makes everything feel even more thoughtful and complete.

“Love the build your own platter concept of this place. Basically, Ako allows you to mix and match the sushi, sashimi and maki you're craving and charges based on the number of different items you get. Mega bonus points for this!

After looking over all the options, I chose salmon sashimi, octopus sashimi, and bbq eel sushi. Quality was pretty good, cuts were thick, and the value was insane!

“Some of the best Ramen we’ve had outside of Japan. The noodles are perfectly cooked and there is plenty of vegetables and meat in the soup. The sushi was on a whole other level. We’ll definitely be making this a regular spot for us.“

“On 21/03/2026 I ordered a sushi platter via ritual.

I live at 2707 Yonge street. The website shows new location on Yonge & Eglinton.

I placed my order fully assuming that this will be the location which is walking distance from my apartment. The address listed was 1560 Yonge street and being new to the country I believed this was the same one that is walking distance from my apartment.

Unfortunately that was not the case, it was the Yonge and St Clair location. It was too late and too far for me to go as I had no one to babysit my son.

When I requested a refund from ritual they denied me flat out as the address is clearly listed at the top and the food was made.

The restaurant however was very understanding and even went as far to have my order made at the Yonge-Eglinton location.

A special mention to Victoria who was patient and understanding of my situation.

“This is one of the best sushi I have ever had, and I eat a lot of sushi!! The portion sizes were generous, the food was good quality and nicely plated, and on top of that it was extremely affordable!!

I got a green dragon roll with eel sauce instead of fruit sauce. My partner got a red dragon roll and 4pcs of salmon nigiri. We also got an order of shrimp tempura which was hot, crispy, and delicious.

Incredible value for money here and our server was very nice. I will 100% be back many times!“
