“I have ordered from Sushi Karu a few times. The first two times I got delivery. They packaged the food very well and it arrived quickly. The last time I picked it up myself. Each time I was very pleased with the food. The portions, if not huge are nevertheless generous. I had never been inside - there is no place to sit and eat. I think the place could use some updating but it's otherwise fine. I'd give the place 5 stars if it felt a little more orderly. I recommend this place for good sushi. I only had stuff that didn't have fish though so I am not commenting on that.“
“An absolute hidden gem!I stumbled across this sushi place when I was in the area and craving sushi, and it was a great decision. The restaurant itself is quite small, they do first come first serve dine in. Atmosphere wise, there was nothing special about it. It was a very ‘mom & pop’ restaurant vibe but don’t let the interior fool you as their food was amazing.I gave 3/5 for service as they weren’t that attentive, maybe because our table was tucked in a corner at the front of the restaurant? We did have to wave down the server for our order to be taken and to get the bill (never checked up on us during our meal).We ordered the Salmon Teriyaki Bento Box & Yakiniku Bulgogi Bento Box. The bento boxes come with green salad, vegetable tempura, gyoza, rice & miso soup so great deal for the portions as well! We also got the Spicy Salmon Roll & Salmon Sashimi, along with a Spicy California Handroll & Edamame. Now I can be quite picky about sushi places and the freshness of the fish… but I can say that I was blown away with how wonderful everything tasted & how fresh the fish was. Beef & salmon were well cooked, and the batter on the tempura was nice and light. Wowwww! Sushi Zuki is definitely a MUST TRY sushi place when you’re in the area.
