“I’ve been coming here since 2018 and this place has been amazing! The menu is quite vast and I find that the combos are the best bang for your buck! This family run and operated place has amazing service as well, with first items coming out in less than 10 minutes after ordering. I’ve been to quite a few sushi places in my time, and they hands down have the best shrimp nigiri and tuna. Highly, highly recommended. Extremely convenient to get to as well!“

“Good food at a fair price.
Been a few times now and I’m still surprised at the prices each visit.
My most recent order was the teriyaki chicken bento box which comes in at an astonishing $12.50! With other comparable spots pricing their boxes from $18-$22, the value seems ridiculous.
However, there are a few caveats to this price:
1. No rolls are included with the meal. Other restaurants typically include 4-6.
2. The tempura was lacking. Only 2 pieces and they were broccoli and mushroom. Would pay more for some shrimp or yam.
For the price it’s difficult to complain and I left feeling satisfied. If you’re craving some Japanese food at an affordable price, Sushi Zuki is the place to go.“

“Order through DoorDash a few times now. Always very fresh and delicious. Never had a spicy crab roll before and now I love them! Gonna try and come in person sometime to see what else the supermarket has. Their crazy salmon roll was very good. Photos are of their maki set.“

“I waited purposely to rate this place the day after we ordered. Had left overs and needless to say tasted even better. Ordered the pad Thai. One of the best ones I had in a while. The lemon is nice I added lime and threw more peanuts overall pretty good. Tempura shrimp, and veggies were really good. Yam,mushrooms, and broccoli. Lastly we ordered sushi. Every sushi dish was amazing and the spicy tuna melts velvety and silky in one’s mouth. Our new found favourite place will definitely order again. Thank you for a great experience.“

“I was so pleasantly surprised that there's such a wonderful Japanese restaurant not far from me.
The food is fresh, delicious, and served in a manner pleased for eyes.
The portion is great and prices are reasonable.
To be full, you need just 20-30 dollars per person.
I am not even say how friendly staff are. They are here for help, but not overwhelmed you by their presence.
It was great experience for me and my family. I am so appreciated for spending time in Goen.“

“I keep coming back because I’m a huge fan of their shrimp tempura! The staff are always so friendly and helpful with recommendations, which makes every visit even better. Since I have an avocado allergy, they recommended the beef aburi instead, and it was absolutely delicious. One of my favorite spots in Liberty Village for sure :)“

“I wrote a five star review six years ago but deleted it because the writing was embarrassing. I am a regular and I think you do know me. Chef, your sushis are the best ones I have had in my life so far, and I have been to many sushi restaurants in the GTA. I love your selections each and every time. You are very kind to me and always give me something on the house and I truly appreciate it. I respect you and your art.
Thank you so much for the time I came with my grandparents in 2023.
The only reason I can’t come as often is because it is a bit expensive, rightfully so, for me right now, but I would love to come as often as possible.
P.S: I really, really loved that special tuna cut from last time, I can still remember the taste.“

“I stopped by one afternoon with my mother for a little nibble and was pleasantly surprised. We ordered the Torched Salmonand Traffic Light rolls, and they were so fantastic that we came back the very next day for more.
The pieces are generous in size, incredibly fresh, and packed with flavor. The service was outstanding—everyone was so friendly and accommodating, which made the experience even better.
The atmosphere is a little rundown and the space is small, but the quality of the food more than makes up for it. I highly recommend this spot if you're looking for delicious sushi at a great value.“

“The restaurant, service and food at this restaurant was good. However the only downside is that the customers are literally asked to pay a tip. During this difficult period of the pandemic, it is hard to leave a tip. It should be optional but if you do not tip, you are sort of asked "why no tip". This becomes odd and the customer should be given the discretion to tip. This is the reason, I am giving 4 stars to this restaurant.“

“Overview: The Vibe & Spread
If you are looking for a generous, visually striking sushi feast in the heart of downtown Toronto, this spot delivers exactly what you want. The presentation of the massive sushi platter paired with cold beers suggests a casual, highly satisfying dining experience perfect for sharing.
Beer Presentation:
Served in classic, tall pilsner-style glasses, the beers feature a solid, thick head of foam, indicating proper temperature and fresh tapping.
Appearance: A clean, clear golden amber hue with visible condensation on the glass exactly what you want to pair with a rich, savory sushi selection.
The Sushi Platter: Breakdown
The massive black stone platter offers a great mix of classic maki, signature specialty rolls, and deep-fried options, showcasing a vibrant array of colors and textures.
1. The Deep-Fried & Specialty Rolls (Top Left)
Visuals: These rolls are perfectly golden-brown with a crisp, textured panko exterior. They are generously drizzled with a creamy, savory sauce (likely a spicy mayo or a house aioli), a rich sweet soy glaze (unagi sauce), and finished with a vibrant dusting of red tempura bits.
Impression:They look wonderfully decadent. The contrast between the crunchy exterior and the soft, flavorful filling makes these a standout for anyone who loves high-energy, texturally complex rolls.
2. The Rainbow / Dragon Roll Variations (Center Column)
Visuals: This central column features beautifully draped, vibrant orange salmon slices interwoven with perfectly ripe, bright green avocado. The fish looks fresh and has a clean sheen, topped with a generous layer of orange tobiko (flying fish roe) and a delicate drizzle of unagi sauce.
Impression: Excellent knife work on the avocado and fish layering. The roll looks tightly constructed, ensuring you get a perfect balance of buttery avocado, clean salmon, and snappy roe in every bite.
3. The Classic California & Maki Rolls (Sides and Bottom)
Visuals: The outer columns showcase impeccably rolled classic pieces, including California rolls loaded with crisp cucumber, avocado, and crab stick, topped with a bright layer of roe. On the top right, there is a beautifully constructed spicy tuna or salmon roll drizzled with a zesty orange sauce.
Impression:* The rice-to-filling ratio is spot on thin layers of seasoned rice holding together packed, fresh ingredients. The cucumber spears on the end pieces are cut cleanly, adding a nice architectural pop to the plate.
4. Garnishes & Accoutrements
Wasabi & Ginger: The platter doesn't skimp on the essentials. It features two beautifully piped, distinct rosettes of bright green wasabi and a generous pile of clean, natural-colored pickled ginger (*gari*) to cleanse the palate between the different rich rolls.
Final Verdict
Rating: 5 / 5 — An Absolute Feast
Kibo Sushi on Bremner clearly knows how to handle volume without sacrificing the visual appeal of their rolls. The presentation is incredibly appetizing, the portions are massive, and the balance of fresh fish, crunchy textures, and savory sauces makes it a prime destination for an upbeat sushi lunch or dinner. Pair it with a cold draft beer, and you have a flawless casual dining layout.

“To-Ne Sushi in Toronto is genuinely amazing. This little spot completely changed how I think about sushi in the city. The fish is unreal — buttery toro that melts, sweet scallop that tastes straight from the ocean, and salmon that has zero of that “fishy” aftertaste you get at mediocre places. The rice is warm, perfectly seasoned, and packed with the kind of care you only see when a chef actually respects the craft.
Their aburi is a standout. Seared salmon belly with a light miso glaze hits that perfect mix of smoky, crispy, and rich without being heavy. Hand rolls come out with nori that’s still warm and crisp, not soggy. If you sit at the bar, do the omakase. The chef picks each piece, explains what you’re eating, and paces everything so every bite feels intentional.
The vibe is intimate and low-key — no loud music, no gimmicks. Just good people making incredible sushi. Service is sharp but friendly. You’re never rushed, never waiting too long, and they actually seem happy you’re there.
For the quality, it’s worth every dollar. I’ve been multiple times and it’s been flawless each visit. If you’re in Toronto and actually care about sushi, skip the hype spots and book To-Ne. It’ll ruin other places for you, in the best way.“

“A memorable first omakase experience in Canada. The tasting opened with elevated appetizers including uni, caviar, blackened cod, and ikura, though the traditional chawanmushi was absent (I expected it for sure). The sushi course included 12 pieces of seasonal nigiri and a rich three-cut tuna flight highlighting otoro and chutoro. The highlights were undoubtedly the lobster sushi and the uni gunkan maki. Both of my sons loved them and talked about them even today. A delicate chestnut ice cream served as the perfect sweet finish to the evening“

“I’ve been to this restaurant more than 10 times and it never disappoints. The food is always fresh and delicious, the service is nice and friendly in my experience! It is always a pleasure to come in for a lunch or dinner. The restaurant is fairly small, so it may be really full and busy and sometimes you may need to wait 10-15 min for a table. Just one personal remark: I really enjoyed the ambiance more in the past when they used to play traditional Japanese, Korean and other “Asian” music. The new playlist with modern songs just does not fit this otherwise wonderful place. I hope one day you can play those traditional tunes again.“

“Brought my daughter and a friend here in two separate occasions, and the food presentation, quality of sushi and the whole atmosphere are one of the best in town. It’s definitely a nice cozy place to enjoy such good meal from appetizer to main dish of sashimi or variety of sushi. I’ve ordered the lover’s salmon and yes, it’s bittersweet 🌸 a Japan 🇯🇵 experience that you’ll always treasure. Highly recommended this place 24/7 and savour every moment and don’t leave without having the green tea and mango ice cream as well. 💕✨🍵“

“I ordered takeout here! The Basic B Box was good. Nice presentation. Wasn’t a fan of the rose petals because every sushi I ate tasted like flowers. I also wasn’t a fan of the california rolls in this box and wished they had other options to choose from, but that is a personal preference. Overall, good place to eat sushi. Next time I will try another dish.“

“I came here for lunch with my coworkers and we shared a tasting box plus a few rolls on the side.
I don’t eat cucumber, so I specifically asked for no cucumber in our order and was told it could be swapped with avocado, which I really appreciated.
We were also informed it would take about 20 minutes, but it ended up being closer to 40–45 minutes due to the lunchtime rush. Totally understandable though, and the manager was very apologetic and even gave us a $5 coupon for our next visit along with our box.
When the food arrived, the presentation of the tasting box was absolutely WOW.. it was so beautifully done. We were honestly just too hungry at that point to admire it for long.
Unfortunately, I noticed the first roll I picked still had cucumber in it, and when we flagged it, the staff immediately looked into it. It turned out there was a miscommunication about the substitution, and most of the rolls in the box had cucumber. The manager personally came over, apologized, explained everything, and immediately took care of it by offering to remake the box without cucumber and providing a full refund, which really went above and beyond.
Despite the hiccup, the service and care from the team really stood out. Mistakes happen, especially during busy lunch hours, but the way the team responded made a big difference. I’d definitely come back again.“

“On 21/03/2026 I ordered a sushi platter via ritual.
I live at 2707 Yonge street. The website shows new location on Yonge & Eglinton.
I placed my order fully assuming that this will be the location which is walking distance from my apartment. The address listed was 1560 Yonge street and being new to the country I believed this was the same one that is walking distance from my apartment.
Unfortunately that was not the case, it was the Yonge and St Clair location. It was too late and too far for me to go as I had no one to babysit my son.
When I requested a refund from ritual they denied me flat out as the address is clearly listed at the top and the food was made.
The restaurant however was very understanding and even went as far to have my order made at the Yonge-Eglinton location.
A special mention to Victoria who was patient and understanding of my situation.
Thank you Sushi Gen.“
