James was such a very friendly, polite, and professional employee. I felt like I was treated well—one of the best customer services I have experienced. I would highly recommend this restaurant.“

“A true hidden gem. I’m a busy Scarborough plaza, it’s actually tucked right into a corner that if you don’t actually walk right up to the corner, you’re gonna miss it

Sushi was fresh and it’s korean style sushi so it’s never frozen and served immediately. Fish had a nice springy bite.

The poke was actually really good. I think it may be one of the best poke bowls I have had in toronto.

Parking is in abundance but it can also be difficult when it’s meal times as there are so many restaurants and a medical clinic in the plaza.

Service was great. Owner was nice and friendly and got our orders in quick. Sat beside the sushi bar so got a first hand look at him making the rolls.

“Brought my daughter and a friend here in two separate occasions, and the food presentation, quality of sushi and the whole atmosphere are one of the best in town. It’s definitely a nice cozy place to enjoy such good meal from appetizer to main dish of sashimi or variety of sushi. I’ve ordered the lover’s salmon and yes, it’s bittersweet 🌸 a Japan 🇯🇵 experience that you’ll always treasure. I tried the “new tasting box for 2” there was so much variety, for anyone trying out sushi for the first time it’s a great place to start and for sushi lovers it’s the perfect platter. “Hidden Gem is the only word I can find for this place. Chef Kazuki and his team was very attentive throughout our dining experience. We did sake pairing, ankemo and Uni experience and every bit was absolutely worth it. We were little thrown off by its location at first however once you enter the restaurant, you'll be in Japan from Hokkaido to Fukuoka.“

“So many vegan sushi options, made fresh. Portions sizes are also huge and they are very generous with the fresh ingredients - especially the avocado! We didn’t realize this is more of a take-out place and not a sit-down restaurant (my own fault for not doing proper research beforehand) and as we aren’t local to the area and it was pouring rain when we got there, taking our food to go wasn’t really an option. The lovely lady who served us was kind enough to set up 4 chairs around the one table they had in the shop and really did her best to ensure we had a “real meal” that closely resembled a full restaurant experience in the small space at the front of the shop, which we really appreciated!“

“I’ve never had an issue with Mac Sushi.Always fresh, I go around lunch time. Not necessarily looking for the after 5pm special.Salmon is always buttery - they use fresh fish allll the time in my opinion & Spicy salmon roll is so flavourful.I have a better time with Mac Sushi over some of my typical sushi restaurants. I hate thick cuts of salmon so Mac Sushi knows that they are doing and knows how to cut a decent piece of fish for eating.The customer service is always great, I’m never rushed, the attendants are patient with me and so kind.I have my go to spots to get a nice snack at the STC and Mac sushi is one of them. The price is also decent for me. No complaint on pricing. Also always so clean!“

“My favorite sushi place in Scarborough! It's worth the price. For all-you-can-eat dinner, get everything including unlimited sashimi, or for lunch get everything except Sashimi, but at reduced price. Soft drink and tea included too. You can line up for your table online before getting there to save time. Order from phone while eating or they provide tablet if you don't have a phone. Sushi and Sashimi very fresh. I can taste the green tea in Matcha ice cream, so good.“

While the food was not mindblowingly outstanding, the price point was very affordable ($6 for eight pieces) and the salmon sushi was tasty.

The interior decor emanated a homey and unpretentious vibe that, coupled with the affordability factor of the food, have ensured that I will be a frequent customer of Ikki Sushi.“

“Absolutely loved coming here for the first time with my family. Came here long time ago just me and my wife but this time was extra memorable as we had our 7 year old with us.

Many places with time get worse or perhaps we romanticise the past experiences but this place after 7 years is still good if not better. Very rare to see consistent quality and care.

We got 2 surf and turf and for myself emperor's feast. Upgraded all to vege fried rice. Everything tasted great specially knowing beef/steaks here are hand slaughter halal from Costco.

It was for my birthday and for surprised pleasantly for drums and singing and a birthday cake Slice.

But to most memorable part was seeing the cooking show through my son's eyes and his reaction. Thank you for making this speical Hibachi crew and special thanks for throwing in the ice cream for my son 😊🙏“
