“Went for lunch on a weekday, we are the only customer. We ordered Sashimi bento and beef teriyaki bento. The sashimi was fresh and came with tempura and California rolls.
The beef was a bit rough and the bento does not come with any rolls as most restaurants.
Overall good price for sashimi bento but not the beef bento. The service was great.“

“I forgot what top tier sushi tasted like. Their menu is very limited, but everything is masterfully made. The rice is nicely cooked, the pieces are not too big and the rice isn’t too packed. Every slice of fish is exactly the same size. Those details are often missing from other take out sushi places in the city.“

“I came in here to grab a quick takeaway lunch older not expecting much but WOW was I surprised with the outcome. I can say this is one of the top sushi I’ve had. “We had lunch here yesterday, and all of the special rolls we ordered were great. The 'Tenon Special' was our favourite, but you can't really go wrong if you stick to the special rolls on the menu. We've rarely had good vegetarian sushi at restaurants, so we were very happy to find so many great and interesting options here. Highly recommend.“

“Happened to see the sign for this sushi place as I was going to the Low Carb store . It's a little hidden gem that shares its space with a bakery , the owner/sushi chef asked if I wanted to eat there and I said yes and to my surprise there was a little table that he cleaned and set me up . The sushi was very very good . The quality better than most sushi places that are in same price range , it was a perfect amount of sushi and sashimi. I will for sure order from this chef again . Wonderful service ! Most people that I saw were buying trays of sushi from him.“

“This place offers good value proposition lunch and dinner combos. So many variety of combos from sushi to sashimi to stir fry udon to other teriyaki combos.

For example, teriyaki pork or chicken which includes a miso soup and bowl of rice for $10.99 CDN + tax. Can’t go wrong on this price.

From the menu, they offer different sushi and sashimi platter tray.

We ordered a sashimi punch combo at $13.99 CDN + tax. Sashimi is ok, respectable but typical sashimi selection and ok sashimi grade. Other places maybe higher quality but you pay what you pay for at $13.99.

I ordered a teriyaki beef short ribs. The amount of ribs they served was substantial. Only thing is…beef ribs a bit tough on the bone part, otherwise the sauce and meat are eatable.

Service was attentive and excellent. Friendly server.

ONLY drawback is the bad ventilation from the chef who is cooking close to the tables, we all smell like bbq since the chef cook nearby. It’s nice to see him cooking what you order but it sux we smelled bbq on our clothes.

We will come back to try other lunch options or its sushi and sashimi platter next time.“

“Nice and quaint little spot. It’s a small storefront designed for a quick sit down or a to go order. The owner has been there for 11 years and was a pleasure to speak with. I got the half and half #74 to go and it was excellent. Will be heading back“

“Regular Sushi Don, has three Salmon, one tuna, two Hokkigai, two Tamago, four pieces of other fishes, one shrimp, one fried shrimp head, and some fish roe. Slices of Salmon are big and fresh. Very good value. Salmon Don is great for Salmon lovers. Katsu rice is okay and the Katsu is a bit thin but taste okay. Chicken Katsu Don is a bit too salty. Dragon rolls look good. Lunch menu combos are good. Have not tried other food yet.“

“We came here for lunch as a family of 4 for lunch on Sat, great that it’s not packed (usually wait time for dinner is long). We ordered 3 lunch bento box (sashimi, beef teriyaki and salmon teriyaki) and a tonkatsu udon. Bento box came with a miso soup, I found the soup a bit salty, the bento taste ok for the price. I love their location and will come back again.“
