Sushi Taro Reviews
Great price. Cash discount. Pretty good quality. Wish they wouldn't put a dab of wasabi in the avocado roll though. Makes it inedible for kids.
Great place to try! The chef was very nice and accomodating and the good was amazing!
Sushi Taro is a fantastic spot for fresh, high-quality sushi. The owner was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which really set the tone for the entire experience. Service was attentive and genuinely warm, making us feel well taken care of from start to finish. The sushi was well-prepared, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Overall, great food, great service, and a place I’d happily return to and recommend to others

Sushi Taro is a small sushi shop located in the food court of the quiet King Square shopping center, known for its high-quality sushi and fresh fish. The restaurant offers freshly made-to-order bento, party trays, and a variety of menu options. Customers appreciate the well-seasoned rice and incredibly fresh fish, with the tuna sashimi being particularly praised for its freshness and tenderness. The shop provides efficient service, and the staff is friendly, often offering helpful recommendations. As a takeout-only spot, Sushi Taro passes on savings to customers, with options to eat in the food court right outside. Lunch specials are especially popular, offering good value with included soup and salad at a lower price. The California roll Maki, priced at only $5.50, is enjoyed for its quality, featuring fish roe and sesame seeds. The Salmon Ikura Don is also well-liked for its fresh fish, though some feel that the ikura portion could be more generous for $18. Customers suggest that including miso soup with the dons would improve the meal. While the food may take a little time to prepare since everything is made fresh, the friendly service makes up for it. Customers are encouraged to bring cash to receive a 10% discount. Overall, Sushi Taro is considered one of the most affordable and good-tasting sushi spots in town, offering great value for lunch, especially with salad, soup, and sushi boxes for under $15.
