“If I could give six stars, I absolutely would. This place is excellence in every way. Whoever runs this restaurant truly knows what they are doing. We have been ordering sushi from here for the last few months, and every time we try somewhere else, we always end up coming back here.
Everything about their sushi is outstanding: the quality of the rice, the freshness and amount of ingredients, the flavor, the presentation, and even the pricing. You can genuinely feel the care and attention they put into every order.
This has become our go-to place for sushi cravings, and we cannot recommend it enough to anyone who truly loves sushi.

“The restaurant, service and food at this restaurant was good. However the only downside is that the customers are literally asked to pay a tip. During this difficult period of the pandemic, it is hard to leave a tip. It should be optional but if you do not tip, you are sort of asked "why no tip". This becomes odd and the customer should be given the discretion to tip. This is the reason, I am giving 4 stars to this restaurant.“

“Our third time going Genji. Every single Time, phenomenal!!! Forgive me for not remembering the name, but the lady serving us 10 out of 10 customer services the food on top of that 10 out of 10 my girlfriend and I so amazing. So so understanding, and I offered out of court courtesy to life of the candle setting the mood perfectly. It gave us energy. It made us feel healthy and was the best spicy we’ve ever experienced. Thank you for amazing experience.“

“One of my favourite places in my neighbourhood. I frequent here a lot, and the woman who works there always remembers my order! It's nice to be remembered. Favourites would have to be the Agedashi Tofu, Crazy Boy roll and the Black Buster roll. ❤️“

“Good place, a tad expensive even for all you can eat. Giving Atmosphere 4 stars because ive gotten dirty dishes a handful of times that ive gone. Thr service is good but will take a while if you go during the busy period. The drinks arent that good but heavily outweighsd by the food quality!“

“Bought here food bunch of times and never ever had an issue. It was always amazing and good.
Ordered sushi rolls today, bunch different ones. We were group of 3, no one had breakfast, no one ate anything else except this.
We all got stomach pain, frequent washroom, and crazy nausea.
I don’t know what was it, was it tempura roll, or was it the strange looking smoked salmon roll (that salmon was either steamed or parboiled for some reason?)
Idk. Please check your fish. Getting all of those symptoms for sushi that we got (that none of them had even raw fish) is wild.

UPD: took some pills and feeling better. Jin sushi chef personally called me today, really happy for such a quick reaction. He assured me they will recheck everything, but they always take health concerns seriously (and I do appreciate it). As I said, it was always great experience and I am super happy my concern was responded to so quickly. Thank you so much♥️

“This is the best Japanese restaurant in Toronto. Not only the sushi is great, service is Great. The most is the environment, anyone who like the 80s'in Japan, this is the right place to bring back your memory. Whether is the Japanese singers, advertisment, cartoon. I almost I can smell back the the theme of 80s'. Some familiar Japanese singers are Akina 中森明菜, Miho 中山美穗.........“

“Went for a late night sushi dinner and the food was absolutely great! We tried the Nolbu rolls which was popular for a reason, and we also got the tempura, the atmosphere was very cute. Over all wish we would’ve ordered more and will definitely come back. Price fit the amount of food as well“

“Hidden gem for most, but popular for the locals. I love the salmon sushi and chicken katsu don here, the sushi is bigger than most Ive had and they really pack on the rice for the don. Always order ahead of time as its takeout only, staff is always friendly, efficient and always pick up the phone. I do hope in the future they open indoor dining!“

Sometimes they have some prepared in advance in the fridge. If you need a large order call them in advance. You can also order and wait for your takeout order.
They have a lot of prepared food there. There is also a meat section (kosher).
If you need produce, you'll have to shop elsewhere.“

“I have had a variety of food here and it has all been excellent. My favorite is the beef bibimbap.

The owner is always friendly and pleasant to see. She always greets me with a smile.

“I don't know why they have poor reviews because I really enjoyed their food. I'm a big fan of sushi, so I'm glad they have mackerel sushi and yellowtail (Hamachi) rolls, which other restaurants usually don't offer. On top of that, the quality was great; I’ll definitely order again soon. ( I ordered with Uber Eats)

I saw the reviews before ordering, and I think people are too harsh about small mistakes and portion sizes. What I want to say is, if you receive the wrong order, you can just explain it to the restaurant and get a refund or credit. everyone could make a mistake. I don't know why people can't be more generous about it, especially when the prices are already so cheap. We have to understand how difficult it is to keep prices this low without reducing the portions.“

“First time visit and you can tell by the queue that never seems to end how popular it is. The choices are straightforward, you order , pay and wait for your monster sandwich to arrive. I had a chicken deluxe without the tomato and it was enough for 2 people. The breaded chicken escalopes were nicely cooked and fresh - I really enjoyed mine and would recommend it.“
