“The atmosphere was calm and chill . But the main part was the food . it was amazing we tried the salmon avado sushi pizza I recommend you to try it .with dessert its going the best food ever and also the service was amazingthe food Is from heaven ?? ?“
“What can i say, a magical place with incredible staff. Who will always be there for you in a heartbeat. Not to mention mouth watering food that touches both your heart and has the stomach saying thanks. All and all its a gem which you must come and try.“
“A tiniest place with the most fresh sushi!I guess my Mom and I got lucky to get a table. Every other person who came in after us got turned away because they had reservations. There is lots of people in and out either looking for a table or takeout. The staff were very nice and always available for your needs. The food was delicious and flavorful.Food came fast and very hot (temperature). I love my food very hot, so this made me very happy.Parking was a bit of a challenge. There are no spots on the main road. You can park on the side streets but will have to walk to the main road which isn’t far, but on a cold or wet day it might not be ideal for some.Parking: Parking was a bit of a challenge. There are no spots on the main road. “Great value, lovely atmosphere & service, and most importantly, incredible food. The sushi was fresh and super flavourful, the takoyaki was one of the best I’ve ever had, the homemade gyoza & miso soup were dynamite. Will definitely be coming back!“
“Honest to God, I have been going to all you can eat sushi for about 15 years and this is one of the best locations that I have ever been to. Both the bathroom was clean and so was the restaurant. I can’t even recommend what to get because I really liked everything. But my favorite for sure was the Fried milk Dessert and the muscles and the egg and the shrimp tempura and the green tea ice cream.“
“The food is good. Unfortunately they fry everything including tempura bits and vegetable tempura in the same oil they fry the pork katsu in. So muslim and vegeterian can't eat there unless they don't care. Just wondering why they don't have a seperate fryer for tempura bits and vegetables.Vegetarian options: Need to have separate oil for vegetarian dishes.Dietary restrictions: As a muslim it is not possible to eat there specially that they use same fryer for tempura bits and vegetable tempura for pork meat. This applies to muslim Jews and vegetarians unless some don't care.“
“I don’t live near Shinobu, it sometimes take me an hour to get there to pick up. This is the best place for authentic Japanese Sushi in Toronto. Always consistent fair prices and made with love and pride. Its worth the drive.?❤️?yes its 2023?Shinobu is still just as good as ever?☀️and I’m sure 2024 will be as great as ever☀️❤️???Happy New Year ?“
“Honestly the best sushi places I’ve ever gone. I’m not much of a sushi lover, I go to the occasional Japanese restaurant and get maybe a couple of pieces but they never really fit my palette. Like places like Ichiban, or Sushi Moto, etc were never really interesting. But after discovering this absolute whole in the wall I can’t stop eating. As I’m writing this in the past 24 hours I’ve basically eaten half a platter of their sushi completely on my own. The staff are all amazing people always having an amazing time and really make you feel included and appreciated as a customer. I now go on an almost daily to weekly basis and always order the spicy or the creamy crab rolls exclusively but their huge platters are amazing for parties and gatherings. If you want amazing sushi and the fun and humour from a hibachi restaurant go to VIP sushi they’re cheaper and the experience is way betterDietary restrictions: They’re very accommodating always doing what they can to make sure I eat what I can and exclude everything I can’tKid-friendliness: The staff are always friendly and treat children with the utmost care always saying hi and waving and making them feel comfortable in the busy environment. Earlier today a customer had come in with their shh daughter and by the time the sushi was ready the little girl was sad to leave as all the staff had made such a fun environmentWheelchair accessibility: Door may not fit a wheelchair but they will walk out and hand you your order or do what they can to accommodate you the best they can“
“Decent place to satiate my craving for sushi rolls and ramen. Ramen prices are around $13.99 to $15.99, and I take advantage of the sushi rolls daily special for $9.99.Portion size is good and they add lots of toppings, and the broth is tasty.“
“Torch Pressed Sushi is changing how I think about sushi! Their pressed style isn't just visually stunning, but the light char from the torch gives each piece this delightful smoky depth. Unique sauces and textures take it to another level. If you love sushi and want a new and exciting way to enjoy it, this is the place for you.“
“Feeling pretty stupid as I've lived in the area for a few years now but only tried this place today. Whenever I walk by it always seems pretty quiet, but with an experience like this I hope it gets more business! We ordered two of the sushi/sashimi dinner combos (B and C) and both were delicious. Generous portions of fish and it all tasted fresh. I think they even gave a few extra pieces of sashimi. The salad and soup were also both nice.Service was great. Everyone here is really friendly and nice.Atmosphere definitely catered to my tastes, which was classic rock music and they turned the hockey game on the TV ?. Will be back for sure! Also shares a name with one of the best anime characters ever ?“
“Whenever I’m in the area and I have time for a sit-down, I go here. I love sushi and I always get the best service here.Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian and even vegan options. Lots of healthy options as well.Dietary restrictions: Lots of vegetarian and even vegan options. Lots of healthy options as well.Parking: There’s street parking, a parking lot and parking garage nearby.Kid-friendliness: You can definitely bring kids here.“
“Food was excellent, the dishes paired perfectly with the drinks that were on menu. You can tell that the chef has specially curated each item and didn’t necessarily choose things out of popularity. For example, the sparkling jasmine tea was fantastic.. I later tried to find this drink but was quite disappointed that it’s a very difficult item to get!One item was very interesting - the futomaki was not like any other I have had before. In fact, I don’t personally enjoy it much but really did when the chef made his version of it.We had tried the premium lunch omakase. We would love to come back. Staff were attentive and nice. It’s quite a relatively large restaurant for such a small seating.. the ones downtown a much smaller - but you also get to see everything (a lot of their fridges were in the preparation area).“
“Went for lunch around 1pm, there was no one in the restaurant except us. However, the waitress greeted us nicely and even told us we can sit at a bigger table. We ordered the bento boxes and they were AMAZING! For that price, the food was fresh and delicious! I definitely recommend anyone who wants Japanese cuisine in that area to give it a try!“
“Tonight was my second time dining here and so far both times were for my parents' birthday. This time I brought a cake and they graciously came out and sang happy birthday for my mom! I really appreciated this gesture as not many restaurants are willing to accommodate outside food which I completely understand. Needless to say, service is impeccable and warm at this restaurant. The food is a notch above any Japanese restaurant in the GTA. The tempura is simple but obviously well executed. We ordered a sashimi platter both times but tried other dishes too like the fried soft shell crab which was very delicate and easy to eat for people too lazy to crack a shell. It's a small restaurant so the food does take longer but I think the pace is more relaxed and suited to the atmosphere :) the price reflects the diversity of their ingredients and dishes as I don't think there are many places serving monkfish liver and deep fried crab alongside imported sashimi. Overall, highly recommend for a special occasion!“
“The flavor of sushi is wonderful. Everything is fresh, beautifully presented, and the service is fast. The only thing I felt uncomfortable with was the size of the roll, it's too big and becomes uncomfortable to chew. I had to ask for a takeout box to eat at home. Overall, it was great!“
“This Japanese sushi and udon restaurant offers a delectable culinary experience. The sushi is fresh and expertly prepared, while the udon dishes are flavorful and comforting. However, compared to similar establishments, the prices for sushi are a bit on the higher side. Despite this, the quality of the food justifies the cost, making it a worthwhile dining destination for sushi and udon enthusiasts alike.“
“Went to this restaurant this Wednesday with the kids and had a great time. Great quality food, generous server, and great overall vibe.We tried the Maki Platter C and Spicy Sashimi Don both were served to perfection. Beautiful plating and decorations with flare.Overall 10/10 recommend to go visit. Won’t regret it!Vegetarian options: Diverse options for the vegetarians out there. Very inclusiveParking: Plenty of space. Best of all, FREE!Kid-friendliness: Brought my kids and the server was very friendly“
“This place is golden!! Fresh ingredients, great service and they are super quick.Definitely a must try! You don’t feel overwhelmed or stuffed. They have 2 sizes which is great. Love making my bowl and also getting suggestions too. Always a win!!Delicious!!“
“Love the food here. Service is great too. Wish there was a Nome is Markham. I also want to shout out to chris for being a great help. 5 stars because of her superior service and positive attitude. Thank you for taking our last minute call orders on Monday night. See you soon :)“
“Can't resist the umami of Deluxe Chirashi Don, had ordered multiple times from different delivery platforms. Always go for the deluxe one because worth it, not the normal one tho. I also like the randomness of the tuna in the don, there's chance you will get otoro.“
“Top tier sushi. Great vegetarian options. They are humble and always try to make it right if you let them know they made a mistake. In my journey I have tried other places, even other Kibo Sushi but always end up coming back here. Excellent spicy chicken karaage, even if it could be more spicy. I appreciate this business and all who work hard to make it great! 'Dine in' seating is limited though.“
“The food was good. Sashimi was fresh and there was good variety between common and premium items. Not a huge fan of the pressed sushi, but that's a matter of personal taste. The touchscreen menu is a bit awkward when there's more than 2 people at the table. The lobster tempura rolls are a real experience.“
“This takeaway party tray is the best sushi party tray I have ever tasted in the GTA area. It even reminds me a little bit of the feeling of eating sushi in Japan. I highly recommend everyone to give it a try.呢間外賣嘅party tray係我喺GTA地區食過最好食嘅壽司party tray,甚至令我有少少諗起喺日本食嘅感覺,高度推薦大家試一試。“
“Variety of selections on foods especially fresh fishes all the time. I have been eating here for so many years and always coming back for their Jajangmyeon noodles and sashimi sets. Come and check them out, I promise that you won’t be disappointed ????✨“
“Water sashimi!!!!!!!! This is the only raw fish dish you can taste in Toronto. Please don't get rid of the raw fish menu and keep selling it. When I was pregnant, the thing I wanted to eat the most was raw fish, but I couldn't eat it, so it remained in my heart. It's so nice to be able to eat raw fish that tastes as similar to Korean as possible. It was worth driving for an hour. They said it's for one person, but it's so big that even two people would be full. I think I'll go there often whenever I think of it.“
“Nice cozy sushi place in my neighbourhood, I didn’t get a chance to visit before, I was really satisfied about the quality of the sushi and sashimi compared to most of the fancy places around. They great you with miso soup and snacks which is so sweet, I hope they can keep providing this service quality.“
“Food is amazing. This is my favourite pizza shop in Toronto. I can’t give full 5 stars though because the store hours are inconvenient and honestly shocking for a pizza shop. I work downtown and cannot get to Slice N Bites in time before they close to pick up dinner, which I would do frequently if I could. Seems strange to close down at the dinner hour. I hope they can address this.“
“Food is great, definitely recommend. Calm and very welcoming atmosphere. Servers are very patient and kind. The food wait is a little on the longer side, but if you don’t mind the wait, the food is quite good. Overall everything is good just the wait times are a little longer (+a bit pricey).“
“Nice lunch option if you work in one of the buildings nearby. I tried it for the first time and got the daily lunch special which happened to be 8pcs of uramaki, 5pcs of gyoza and miso soup today. The food was fresh and delicious, the price was reasonable and the lady working there was really sweet. I'll definitely be grabbing lunch here again.“
“I celebrated my nomination last night in this delicious restaurant. I am glad to say that it was a astonishing evening and the restaurant was indeed one of the reasons for the successful event. The team participated in a very nice style, the meals were very good and my buddies were very delighted. We shall surely visit again for more joyful events. thanks very much.“
“Very charming tiny restaurant with a great menu that includes rare Japanese and Korean cuisine that are only found in Toronto. I adored how each table feels more private and intimate thanks to the interior decor! and highly culturally inspired. We were served their japchae, the salmon lovers lunch, the volcano roll, and the malado roll. I will most certainly return because parking was convenient and there was no wait time to be seated.“
“Noah Kosher Sushi makes some of the best sushi I've ever had. Period. I always get the raw fish variety (Salomon or Tuna) and sometimes the cooked ones in addition. The fish is always fresh and tasty. The prices for a tray are comparable to other places and are generally affordable. The establishment is clean and tidy and the stuff is very friendly and approachable. However, Noah sets itself apart primarily by taste: it's absolutely delightedly yummy. I sometimes go out of my way in order to pass by them, just to come in and buy a tray of sushi.“
“Check out @bredgyeats for more delicious food pics!Sushi Bong Special - Ladies and gentlemen, I found the ultimate hole-in-the-wall sushi spot that you absolutely must visit right now. First of all, you get unbelievable value for your money for the portions alone, with a plethora of nigiri and maki rolls to entertain your mouth. The maki rolls are filled generously with a perfect layer of marinated sushi rice, like an upgraded California roll. Then, the quality of the ingredients are top notch, like it was caught and shipped the same day straight into my mouth. The salmon had a beautiful marbling that melts in your mouth and is the freshest piece of fish I've ever put in my mouth.“
“We usually order from here and it is almost always good but once in a while they are inconsistent. If you like crunchy with your roll, I don't recommend the way they do it here. They fry beets for the crunch and it tasted like a combo of cardboard and metal. I like beets for the record.“
“A little confused with the low ratings of this place. Been here twice recently for lunch on the weekend and thought it was decent price for value. We're talking around $14 for a salmon set with Miso soup, salad, and ice cream! The restaurant itself is fairly small. We had to wait 10-15 minutes both times to be seated as the restaurant was quite packed. The staff were apologetic and friendly though, and at one point, even offered to take our order in advance of being seated! The service was on the slower end on our second visit as they were short staffed and extremely busy, but the owner still found time to apologize for our wait at the end of our meal. Would come back, not just for the food, but also the wonderful service.“
“First let’s talk about the all you can eat buffet, I always found the food to be fresh and tasty, with a wide variety of options. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere overall is pleasant. As a reviewer I recommend the Thai curry beef ,fantastic eel torch sushi and salted egg custard bun.“
