“I had the honour and pleasure of performing Greek Bouzouki a second time at Floga for a client's baptism. As the artist and sound curator of the event, I will often be asked to eat with the family, which is tricky because I'm usually performing table side while the guests enjoy the entertainment! Today I was forced to take the break (classic Greek hospitality!) and had a wonderful meal. I was served 3 shrimp and an absolutely perfect medium tenderloin with vegetables. I'm not usually a fan of roasted potatoes but these were done well, I cleared the plate. Food was great and so was the service. Floga had a second event downstairs and the rest of the indoor dining spaces were full, it was easily 170 people maybe more. Food was flying out of that kitchen perfect. Not an easy task. Thank you, Floga! See you again soon.“

“Went to Bluffers Restaurant for a 60th Birthday this past weekend in October and I must say it was fantastic! We have been there several times over the past years including two weddings in the event space, and several corporate events which were all really good. This time we were in the restaurant portion of the facility, and although it is small, the setting is gorgeous, looking over the marina in Bluffers park! Service and food were exceptional! Since it was a larger group event, we had limited choices to choose from the fixed menu ... including a Surf & Turf dish as an option. I was floored when out dinners arrived to the table .. all served hot and on time. The presentation was amazing with a large steak on the bottom, and a lobster tail on top, surrounded by different vegetables. An exceptional meal that almost everyone had ordred. Maybe the best Surf and Turf I have ever enjoyed. It was that good. I wish I had taken a picture to includ here. The other dishes including a salmon dish were also really generous portioins, and good. And value for money .... I checked the price of the Surf and Turf dish on the main menu .... $60 including a steak and a lobster. Exceptiional value .. well over a $100 anywhere else. I don't normally write reviews, but this place is so deserving of this review. We will go back soon. I am a regular at The Keg,which I have found a little dissappointing the last couple of visits. Maybe this is our new spot. A little out of the way for us, but certainly worth the dirve. Thanks You to the owners of Bluffers Restaurant. A gem on thew waterfront!“

“Excellent - best fish and chips I've personally had in Toronto. We generally get the haddock family pack, that has generous servings and is more than enough to feed a family of four in our case, including my eats-like-a-vacuum son. The halibut is also excellent - around Good Friday when they have their busiest days, they only serve halibut, but that's the only time I am aware of that kind of restriction, for the few people who might need to know. Coleslaw is a sweet vinegar style, not creamy, fyi. Second generation family owned, and we have been treated like family by both sets of owners. We usually eat take-out at home, as the eating area is a little small, but the food keeps well and doesn't get soggy on the drive. A family fav for us - hope it is for you too.“

“Had been looking forward to visiting for ages, but the restaurant is an hour away from me. Great service. Fish was lovely, chips were delicious and so were mushy peas. Only thing that would have made it better was more selections of diet drink. Interior might need an update soon“

“My friends and I have now been going to Gabby's for quite a few times, maybe about 6 by now, usually on Sundays. The last couple of times have been on a Friday and Monday. We are mostly handicapped, using walkers or a wheelchair. I usually make the reservation, and specify a table near the lovely large windows. It has never been a problem on Sundays, but there seems to be one waitress who objects to our sitting near the window as we will "block" the servers. It is difficult enough being handicapped never mind having a surly woman telling us we are a problem. So, maybe this woman doesn't work on Sundays. We love this restaurant and the food and atmosphere is so great, usually. Most disappointing.“

“Really enjoyed their halibut fish and chips.

Didn’t get a chance to try their haddock so not sure if it’s worth the ~$5 premium but I loved my dish and would definitely go back when in the area and recommend it to others in the area too.

The dining area is relatively small as they only have 2 tables so I’d consider this primarily a takeout establishment but I was lucky to get a seat and enjoy mine fresh.

The lady was kind and took my order over the phone so I didn’t have to wait long to get it was I was in a bit of a rush too.“

“We were greeted with a big smile and the warmest welcome. The lady who served us was incredibly kind and provided such wonderful hospitality, which is rare to find these days. It has been a long time since we felt this genuinely welcomed at a restaurant.

She was always happy to help whenever we asked for water or hot sauce, and she even gave my daughter a candy, which made her so happy.

The food was absolutely amazing. This is the best dim sum we have had, and everything we ordered was delicious and perfectly prepared. We will definitely be coming back!“

“Went into the restaurant today for lunch. Ordered two jerk chicken meals with rice and peas and coleslaw. Pure Jamaican vibes. Rice and peas really moist. Jerk seasoning was legit. Tasted like it was made from real spices not premade spices. Had a nice convo with the owner talking about business and the community. If you value Jamaican food and the culture, you’ll feel as though you’re in a small restaurant on the island. Real talk.“

I recently visited Affy’s Premium Grill in Scarborough and had a good overall dining experience. I ordered the spicy salmon, and it was cooked perfectly—flavorful, well-seasoned, and just the right level of spice.

The only disappointment was the side vegetables. Since I avoid carbs at dinner, I skipped the standard rice or mashed potatoes and asked for vegetables/salad instead.
