“I’m sorry it’s taken me so long to write a review, but this place truly deserves one. Over the years, Chad has become a friend, and one of our favourite things about coming here is chatting with him. He always makes everyone feel welcome. His family runs the kitchen, and they’re equally wonderful.

The food is consistently amazing. As someone with celiac disease, it means so much to have a place where I feel safe eating without worrying.

We’ve celebrated so many wonderful nights here, including a private birthday party, and every experience has been fantastic.The vibe is perfect, and the music is always great. Anglr is one of our absolute favourite spots in the city, and I highly recommend it to everyone.“

“Well what a great lunch we just had. A delicious dozen East coast oysters. French Kiss and Lucky Lime. plump and tasty with a smack of brine. Very nice selection of condiments. Two glasses of super tasty French Chablis followed up by Haddock tacos and the Blackened haddock burger. delicious fries to compliment the dish. “Food was decent, we got the sukiyaki and beef bone broth, they were both a bit too salty for my preference and had to keep chugging water. The meat quality was good, and overall quality of the food was good. I felt that the sauce bar and utensils could have been cleaner, and dispensable chopsticks should be used. Their chopsticks had stains as it was wood and didn't feel thay sanitary.

Only 1 server was around but the restaurant was very empty on a thurs night. The ice cream at the end was good.“

“Just when you think they can't raise their game any higher Hy's manages to find a way. We attended the Calgary locations 10th Anniversary Celebration on Sept 26th and it was spectacular. The event was flawlessly organized and orchestrated by the Hy's team, the food was next level even by Hy's standards and the service exceeded anything we have experienced anywhere in North America even in the finest hotels. Bryant Olender added a classic background with piano and vocal stylings that perfectly suited the atmosphere. It was certainly the best evening we have at Hy's over the last decade, and I don't think I'm overstating it to say it was a "Once in a Lifetime" experience. A huge thankyou to Barb and the entire Hy's team!“

“A friend and I enjoyed lunch on Friday October 17. We had reserved and were seated at one of their window tables. Our server Quinn was friendly and efficient and was able to offer his opinion on main dishes we selected. The portions were more than generous and both of us were provided with take away containers. My friend has decided to book a family birthday here later this month. And I plan to return to Trattoria Di Parma early in November with friends who will be visiting from Calgary. Final comments: Great food, great service and very reasonable prices.“

Rude staff and an even more rude owner... don't bother complaining about anything because you're just going to get cussed at... absolutely appalling behavior... the usual crowd are loud obnoxious and seriously over their limits. I've witnessed tables and chairs falling all over the place on many occasions because people are way too intoxicated to think. The owner acts like he's untouchable and says things like " you're in a bar what do you expect " . I expect to be treated as a paying customer. Never going there again. also... one of the servers is literally always drunk out of her mind... my very first visit she was crying about her ex... and almost every time I ordered wings SHE GOT MY ORDER WRONG....over and over again!! let's just say ive had many free wings and stuff from her as an apology... I gave them a chance. several actually. but after that conversation with the owner.... im done. DO NOT RECOMMENDED!!!!“

Atmosphere and service was amazing along with the plates of steak dinners.
Exquisite taste and one of the best quality steaks I've had for a very long time. The garlic mashed potatoes is heavenly but you can't over do it on that because we're looking at just a lot of starches that are carbohydrates.

I myself recommend the largest portion of filet mignon steak that they have to offer with a little bit of mashed potatoes a few vegetables and a glass of red wine is perfect.

Highly recommended to all my family and friends for a great outing at this place in downtown Toronto. It is quite worth it once in awhile.

My hats off to the management team the staff and especially the chef that cooked my state to perfection and I will be back.

“In December 2025, we had such a great NYE dinner at Luma. We did the 3-course menu and honestly every course was solid! Good food, good drinks, great service, and really nice vibes for ringing in the new year. The standout dishes for us were the seafood soup, the steak, the whipped feta starter, and the banana split dessert. Everything felt really well done without being overly fancy or pretentious. “Went here for Valentine’s Day with my husband. The staff and servers were fantastic. There was limited seating so we had to sit beside another couple. As this was not ideal on Valentine’s Day, it didn’t take away from our experience too much.

We paid for a 5 course dinner. This was an overkill in my opinion as we had two mains, chicken with potatoes, and filet mignon with veggies. The former was a little dry in my opinion and the later was cooked perfectly but nothing wow. I wish I had the filet mignon before the chicken. I believe I would have appreciated it more. The apps and dessert were my favourite - caprese salad, lobster bisque, and crème brûle.

This was great to experience once. I’ll definitely try different locations abroad and pick less items.“
