“I’ve been going to Pizza Pizza since I was in Grade 9, and one of the main reasons I’ve kept coming back is because of Angela. She’s been working there for years, and she’s always been kind, patient, and genuinely welcoming every single time I’ve come in.

From the start, Angela made the experience better. Whether it’s a busy rush or a quiet day, she treats everyone with the same respect and positive energy. She takes the time to listen, gets orders right, and never makes you feel rushed. Even when it’s hectic, she stays calm and professional, which really stands out.

What I appreciate the most is how she remembers people and builds real connections with customers. Over the past four years, she’s recognized me, asked how I’ve been, and always greeted me with a smile. That kind of consistency isn’t common, and it shows she truly cares about her job and the people she serves.

It’s rare to come across someone like Angela who leaves such a strong, positive impression just by being kind and dedicated. She’s a big reason why that Pizza Pizza location feels welcoming, and she definitely deserves recognition for the effort she puts in every day.“

“Honestly I don't have much of an opinion on the restaurant service or aesthetic but the food is incredible...one of the best gluten free sandwiches in the city...I'm definitely down to go to see the restaurant, I feel like the offerings we get through Hungerhub are probably not reflective of the whole menu. “The construction noise outside was slightly annoying but not the restaurant's fault. I would have liked the bathrooms, stairwell and floors to be cleaner - the reason for only 4 stars. We had a combination of hot and cold small plates - fried eggplant, beef pies and beet and kale salad.... All fabulous dishes.“

With every bite you can taste the quality of what you are eating. I ate there with my 3 and 6 year old recently and they loved it just as much as I did. Over the years, Chad has become a friend, and one of our favourite things about coming here is chatting with him. He always makes everyone feel welcome. His family runs the kitchen, and they’re equally wonderful.

The food is consistently amazing. As someone with celiac disease, it means so much to have a place where I feel safe eating without worrying.

We’ve celebrated so many wonderful nights here, including a private birthday party, and every experience has been fantastic.The vibe is perfect, and the music is always great. Anglr is one of our absolute favourite spots in the city, and I highly recommend it to everyone.“

“What a gem! We were in the mood for something different and this was it! From the outside, this place is so unassuming but the vibe inside is so chill! We went on a Thursday night and it was packed! This actually made us excited because it was obvious this place was good! I got two tacos, one carne asada and one beef bulgogi and OMG! Both were absolutely flavorful and fresh! The chips were so crunchy and fresh too! The queso was so creamy and perfectly spicy (beware if you’re sensitive to heat because it has a bite). My mom got the bowl and loved it! The ingredients looked super fresh and colorful! The service was spectacular and the food came out pretty fast considering how busy it was! I highly recommend!“

“Delicious vegan Caribbean food in the heart of Kensington Market. Veggie D'light hits the spot for lunch on a weekend. I had their meal with jerk saitan, veggies and basmati/quinoa. I asked about the soup of the day and was promptly offered a taste by the friendly chef. Had the medium soup as well--a delicious rich soup with yams and coconut milk. Now I have a new favorite lunch spot.“

“Got the chili chicken and the chicken pho. Chili chicken was delicious 0 complaints. Chicken Pho was amazingly priced with a generous portion but the flavor was lacking just a bit. If you want quality pho maybe go somewhere else. If you want a huge bowl of pho for not too much money then here's the place to go“

“This location is always slammed and I can’t imagine working in a place like this. I always try to be kind to the workers here. They are always kind back, the food was standard for NYF. Overall the atmosphere can be chaotic but if you are kind to these guys they will be kind back.“

“A very cosy uptown restaurant ! I have been several times over the years and it never disappoints. Was there again last night and have to say the veal scallopini was excellent. It was a tough choice as there are so many delicious things on the menu. The friendly and excellent service, food and ambiance was perfect. A big thank you to the staff for such an enjoyable evening. “We had CakeStar make our daughters first communion cake, not only to as it absolutely spectacular, it was delicious. Really easy to deal with, responsive by email and phone, and even opened up for us on Sunday to pick up the cake. Absolutely amazing!“

“They have switched to Thai, but still have many of the Chinese favourites. I wholeheartedly appreciate fully gluten free restaurants as a celiac person.

It would have been nice if our server was a bit more attentive. I waited close to 20 minutes after finishing before I had to get up and ask if I could please get my bill. A neighboring table also seemed annoyed that they were sitting longer than my partner and I for their bill, and seemed surprised that they needed to get up and ask for theirs as well.“
