“Honestly, the gelato was very close to what we’ve had in Italy. The texture, flavour, and quality really reminded us of authentic Italian gelato. The cappuccino was also excellent — rich, thick, and topped with a beautiful crema, just the way we like it. A great spot to enjoy a taste of Italy right here in Toronto. Highly recommend!“

“We’ve been here five times! The quality has always been consistent. The interior design is lovely, the ambience is spacious, sweet, soothing, warm, and refreshing. I personally like warm coffees and we tried their misto, latte and cappuccino, all good with a strong coffee taste. The cappuccino is super foamy. My husband likes cold drinks and we tried their seasonal iced latte brulee flavour. The barista was humble and kind, asked for our feedback, and tailored the flavour to our preferences. You can tell that they really love coffee and hope to make the best coffee for each customer!“

“Just finished one of the best chopped cheese sandwhichs I ever had. Came during the lunch rush and it was very busy (always a good sign) took about 10 mins for my sandwhich. Sat outside in the beautiful patio overlooking the park. Great sandwhich in a peaceful environment without the bustle of the city rushing you. Finished it off with a delicious pastry. Selections were going fast so get there early if you want to try the deserts. The girl behind the counter eas obviously a new hire but she did a great job handling the rush along with the owner. Great friendly guy.“

“The owner is so nice, and really knowledgeable about Pu-Erh teas. He is patient, and the food he makes is amazing! The prices for the teas and food is reasonable (student budget friendly lmao). I remember when this was at a different location down the street and he had chalkboard menus - updated now and looks awesome. Interior decor is 100% instagramable with the arwork and the wood seating. You gotta come here at least once if you're around here, it's worth it.“

“One of the rare Turkish diners for golzleme. That's part of Turkish village breakfast menu but these guys have it and make it right. The rest of breakfast is complete, breads fresh, and a good spread. I go there all the time.“

My favourite lunch in the world is the house sandwich on a honey garlic bagel, an iced latte, and a black sesame macaron.

All of their desserts are incredible as well. There are many fun macaron flavours to choose from, as well a delicious cookies and cakes. I also love the strawberry latte!“

“MeeTYou Cafe catered drinks for our event recently and they were amazing. The lemon tea was super refreshing. Staff were friendly and the process was smooth and organized. Definitely one of my favourite spots near campus for drinks. I’ll for sure be coming back!“

“This gem of a Cafe is located next door to my house which is lovely bonus. Tesco is an upscale Phillipino Cafe and serves top quality hit and cold beverages as well as sandwiches and crepes and other goodies . I assumed the man behind the counter was the owner, unlike most employees who work the counter in Eateries, Drew appears invested, in my experience there, he is friendly, clean and knowledgeable, always willing to help o customer out, with directions or bus schedules. Always an enjoyable experience. And the price? Not overly cheap. But for high quality food, exllent service , great location, and relaxation, I'm willing to pay a few dollars more. Not always but in this case that old saying holds true. You get what you pay for. So try it out this weekend

“We went on a Saturday late morning so it was tough finding seating but we managed.
Ended up getting the egg croissant sandwich and it was delicious! They add different textures and flavours that work so well with the egg.
Also tried some of their madeleines. Out of the two, I preferred the matcha.

It’s a family run restaurant, the chef father makes so delicious and juicy bagel&sandwich, the cookies baked by the son are also very impressive 😍😍😍 what is more impressive is the price, All Day Breakfast:a bagel with a coffee , only costs 5.99CAD, 6.77 after tax. Nowadays this price can only buy a cup of coffee in Toronto 😅😅 A bagel alone like that would cost at least 12 CAD!!!! When I firstly saw the ad saying All- Day Breakfast 5.99 on the wall, I thought that must be a scam😂😅 Buz similar meal like that in the campus food trucks are at least twice the price. Then one day I finally tried to walk in Papamio’s, it did cost that less and the boss even gave me a cookie for free as a new client 🤩🤩🤩“

“I love martin bar, every single snack I've had has always been delicious. Martin( it might not be his name but thats what i call him) is super friendly and I believe they have lemon slices just for me.

“I ordered the Bulgogi & Kimchi sandwich and it was delicious. My sandwich was made in under 5 minutes. It’s the perfect on the go sandwich and I felt full after eating it. Just note they don’t take credit, just cash and debit (for purchases over $5). Definitely recommend!“

“Went here today with my sister and like some others have said, the service and the knowledgeable owner made getting a Cappuccino one heck of a great experience! Unlike some franchise coffee shops, at this place I actually tasted the espresso, what a pleasant thing to have happen, pay for a specialty coffee and actually taste coffee!!! Wow!!! Today was our first time here but definitely not our last! The old world charm of the cafe also added to the overall experience.“

“King's Cafe is mostly vegan. The menu is clearly labeled as to what dishes contain egg. The staff is also very friendly and knowledgeable about veganism.  There aren't any vegan or vegetarian dim sum restaurants where we live so when we are in a city with vegan dim sum options we go a bit wild. We didn't over order, but we did visit twice 😁 Delicious pan fried dumplings, we got those twice.  C78 Fried bean curd and veggies combo came with wonton soup, a small salad, rice, soy nuggets, and a spring roll. The combo was really good but I wanted more veggies. The next time we went we got N61 Lo Han Chai Chow Mein. It was very delicious and full of veggies and stir fried noodles. It was about two meals for two people. We also tried the curry bao and had the bbq pork bao twice. One corner of the restaurant is a little store where they sell mostly vegan products. We picked up some soy jerky and rice cracker snacks for our drive home.  We'll definitely visit King's Cafe next time we're in Toronto. Anyways, after i spoke with Tony for an advise on how i want the espresso to taste. He was spot on. I swear, i promise you. Espresso Bar Coffee beans, for my taste, is the best!!! Love it i gave up on getting Pascucci Caffe from Italy!!!! And the service is top notch. they went the extra mile to ship 6 kg overnight for free. well, they take care of their customers!!!!!“

“I am a regular and usually get e Flat White. Nice coffee bean selection and the baristas work really fast. So the wait depending on the daytime is usually short.

The baristas are very kind and we often chat a bit. Definitely recommend getting a coffee here!“

“I accidentally stopped by this cafe today. Once I entered, I felt as if I know everyone there. I saw the owner chatting with everyone and his assistant girl moving among tables like a butterfly. The owner is so gentle. I didn't talk to him, but was monitoring his amazing attitude with ppl. He was sitting with a customer, then he was chatting with another one at the cash. I even saw him cleaning the floor. What an example!
His assistant was serving coffees and food with a real smile on her face. They just made me happy. What a vibe! I got a cappuccino and it was heavenly good! Thanks guys for making your own real community, for dealing with ppl that nice (rare in Toronto). If I wanna come back to Toronto, I would come back just for this coffee shop.“

“Absolutely unforgettable stay at the Victoria Hotel, 56 Yonge Street.
Some hotels are just places where you sleep. This one is different. It has a soul, and that soul comes from the people.
Maria, Liwam, Feven, Mischa, Julia, and of course Emeline, also known as Meuh-Meuh, made the whole experience feel warm, funny, human and genuinely special.
Maria was fantastic from the very beginning. Liwam has such a calm and classy presence. Feven is impossible to forget, full of personality and good energy. Mischa makes you feel welcome straight away. Julia was lovely too, with that perfect discreet touch.
And Emeline, Meuh-Meuh, is simply the heart of the place. You can feel when a team is well led, and here it shows.
A huge mention as well to Aliud in the kitchen. The food was genuinely excellent, not “good for a hotel”, just properly good. Real flavour, real care, real pleasure.
The Victoria Hotel is charming, perfectly located, and full of people who actually care about what they do. Toronto can feel like a big city, but this place makes it feel personal.
I would recommend it to anyone. Come for the location, stay for the team, and leave with the feeling that you found something special.“

“Attended the matcha making class. Overall, the experience was fun and Debbie is very knowledgeable on how matcha is processed. However, the price of the ticket is definitely high for what you get. Would recommend if you’re looking for an indoor activity but be mindful of the cost and what you get out of the experience.“
