I ordered a broccoli starter and soba noodles with broccoli, tofu, and sauce, plus paid a little extra for a fresh golden juice. The portion was generous and filling — I even had to pack the rest to go. “Dropped by tonight and ordered the happy hour appetizer- squash tacos, humus and pita platter. Both were fresh, and so tasty. Portion size was perfect to share between two people. Our food came out pretty fast. Jacob was our server, he was knowledgeable and was a joy to talk. Loved his personality.

We had an engaging conversation around culinary school and their experiences. The only challenge I had was about 30 minute grace period we had to get to the restaurant wasn't honored without making us feel rushed in getting there. We felt like we were in trouble. But otherwise, it got better as the dinner went on.“

It was tasty, with fresh ingredients, and a good way to try a couple menu items for $22. The service was really friendly, attentive and quick. The place is situated across a little park with a fountain and park benches, which might be nice for a takeaway picnic. The venue itself was well decorated and had a fair bit of seating; we had no problem walking in without a reservation for breakfast, though I expect lunch and dinner time might get busy and could benefit from pre booking a table. “Delicious vegan Caribbean food in the heart of Kensington Market. Veggie D'light hits the spot for lunch on a weekend. I had their meal with jerk saitan, veggies and basmati/quinoa. I asked about the soup of the day and was promptly offered a taste by the friendly chef. Had the medium soup as well--a delicious rich soup with yams and coconut milk. Now I have a new favorite lunch spot.“

“Delicious Ethiopian Vegan Food!

Ordered the Injera Thali Plate and it was packed with so much flavour :) each dish had its own unique taste and they complimented each other well. I really liked the potato dish (super savory) and lentil dish (perfect amount of heat)

Their Samosas are Top Shelf, and The lady who served me was very pleasant and happy! Can’t wait to come back to try more of their offerings.“

“Ruby Soho is a cute spot on King St W for dinner and drinks! The Miami vice is the perfect summer drink and the volume provided was perfect - we could sip on it during our entire meal. We really enjoyed the baked spinach dip as well. When we ran out of the initial toast they had provided, the servers brought over a bucket of tortilla chips which was perfect. Did -1 on atmosphere because we were seated next to guys that were physically fighting each other. Otherwise, service was amazing.“

The pomelo salad and red curry sablefish were standouts for me, but every dish was beyond fantastic. They apparently change the menu about every three months so we’ll definitely be back in the spring/summer. If you’re looking for a memorable experience with delicious food, I highly recommend the chef’s table at Kiin!“

“Sunday afternoon late lunch. The philly cheez steak was saucy, well stacked and the bread soaked up the cheeziness well. I upgraded to the poutine as a side to the sandwich and it was ideal. The gravy was rich, quite salty - but I'm a bit of a salt fiend anyway - and coated the fries, but didn't make them break down at all. The grated cheez kept its texture, and so I would say it passed the all important poutine test. Reasonable wait for service, and for the dish to be served.“

“Drove up from Ottawa a few days ago and stumbled across Lettuce Love Cafe on a whim, and honestly it might have been the best decision of the whole trip. The Thai crunch salad was so good I almost ordered a second one before our server talked me into trying the cashew cheese bowl instead, which was somehow even better. Staff were genuinely warm and patient with all my questions about the menu since I had no idea what half the ingredients were. If you're visiting Toronto and want a lunch spot that actually leaves you feeling great afterward, do yourself a favour and come here.“
