“It’s all about their delicately designed menu, presentation and priceless taste , flavours and texture. The unique menu leaves you flabbergasted, wondering if these delectable dishes can be so immaculately curated created to bring out the right flavour. They are all vegan and gluten-free to escalate your experience. Their guacamole and chocolate cake are once in a lifetime experience, and I highly recommend it if you are one for a scrumptiously tasting, not too decadently sweet chocolate cake. It’s worth a try, absolutely!!! A place to go to for a special occasion and to celebrate something special. It’s terrific:) leaves you craving for more and longing to visit again soon.“
“Planta, the vegan restaurant, exceeded all expectations during my recent dining experience. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that perfectly complemented the restaurant’s commitment to sustainability and plant-based cuisine. The menu at Planta is a true masterpiece, offering a wide array of innovative and flavorful dishes that cater to both vegans and non-vegans alike. The creativity and attention to detail in each dish are truly commendable. I started with their zesty avocado tartare, which was a burst of fresh flavors that left my taste buds. What truly sets Planta apart, though, is their commitment to sustainability and ethical sourcing. Knowing that every ingredient on my plate was not only delicious but also environmentally conscious added an extra layer of satisfaction to my meal. The service at Planta was exceptional, with knowledgeable staff who were happy to answer any questions about the menu and offer recommendations. The wine list and cocktail menu were equally impressive, providing the perfect accompaniments to our meals.“
“Stunned. We came here for the first time for an anniversary dinner and we left speechless. The food is divine. Highly recommend the eggplant parmesan sliders, pistachio ravioli and the apple fritters. The owners are both so kind and our server, Scott, was very attentive and friendly.“
“Usually there is a huge line but you can get in much faster if you come early. The food was delicious and the service was welcoming. The drink menu was comprehensive and varied in taste to accommodate everyone's taste. Falafels were our favorite item on the menu as the spices and sauces were on point. Overall a very Authentic Egyptian good experience.“
“This is a win for the vegan community for sure, this is a gem within Toronto. The menu is fantastic and there are some great flavors and textures throughout the experience as well as some very well crafted mocktails. The restaurant is warm and inviting, as well as small and intimate. The staff is absolutely wonderful and make sure you have a great night. This is definitely a must for a date night.“
“Caked Coffee is on a mission to change the world. They make delicious food and delicious coffee and tea. They do not charge money for drinks, and that creates a beautifully warm and inviting atmosphere. This is a truly unique bakery and coffee shop. I have never met such wonderful people that I now consider to be a part of my family. My new favorite menu item is the tofu scramble croissant. 100% vegan. 200% delicious.“
“As a non-vegan, Tsuchi cafe's food was really good. I was very surprised by how delicious it was. Though they have a limited seated area, this place is definitely a must try. I loved the Karepan and the walnut brownie. The pistachio natcha tart was okayish. The flan was really good!“
“Great food, great atmosphere and friendly service ❤ I am not very familiar with Ethiopian / Eritrean food so to try things out I got the Vegan Veggie Combo Platter which had samples of about 14 different dishes and a salad. It was great, served on injera (a crepe-like bread) which is used as the cutlery so on top of being delicious, it was fun to eat!“
“Step into a world of tantalizing flavors at this vegan Vietnamese gem, where Vicky's warm hospitality elevates the dining experience. From savory pho to mouthwatering banh mi, every dish bursts with authenticity and plant-based goodness. Don't miss out on this culinary adventure – it's a must-try for vegans and foodies alike!“
“Amazing drinks! The nut cream is so creamy and rich! The mix of nut cream and bobba was heavenly! Waffles are vegan and taste so good! The service was excellent and they made every drink with love. I’d definitely come check this spot again for their smoothies!“
“We really enjoyed our experience at Veggie D’light. I called ahead since we were coming from Oshawa and the woman on the phone was very friendly and helpful. We then travelled to one of our favourite places Kensington Market to this restaurant. They were welcoming and offered us a taste of the soup since we had travelled so far. It was delicious. We placed our order and ordered enough for dinner the next day too! The food was very tasty and loved the roti shell! ( not too hot though and we like the heat) we were offered scotch bonnet sauce but I find that too much. We really enjoyed our food, good portions for the cost. We would definitely recommend and definitely will return!“
“Always passed by Aunty Ems while walking my dogs and today was the day I decided to go in and check out this vibe of a shop. Small store front with limited seating by the front window on a tiny bench, but it's more of a get in get your stuff and check out the ambient display and dip on out. I ordered an Americano which was freshly grinded infront of me by the cool gent and added I believe it was oat milk. Cool shop, will definitely try out the fresh goods that are on display next time around.“
“Best vegan Chinese food I have ever had! We had kung pao “chicken”, green beans with soy chops, and eggplant and tofuVegetarian options: Everything in here is vegan, so plenty options for vegetarians as well!Dietary restrictions: dairy free meals“
“Came into Fresh with my two friends for happy hour. Our cocktails were ten dollars each and they had various food options for only eight dollars each. Great options for when you’re trying to save. Adrian was lovely and provided warm service. The food came out very quickly. My only feedback would be about the pita services with the hummus. It felt very raw and cooked have used more time in the toaster. Other than that, everything was delish!“

“With today being international women's day, I thought what better time to recognize a female owned business who is 5 star in every category possible! First visit was today, place was spotless clean, meals were packaged exceptionally well, a huge variety to choose from, plant based with no oil for majority of the menu, and the tipping point of making this place exceptional is the owner! Karen greeted me with a smile, had my order ready, provided a ton of tips and suggestions, and even walked the items to my car. Thanks to Good Grains my meal planning is going to be so much easier to stick with now that I don't have to shop or cook!! I highly recommend Good Grains, in a world of processed fatty foods, this place is refreshing for the soul and good for it as well! Such a pleasure meeting Karen and I look forward to more trips here and incorporating Good Grains into my meal routine and health improvement. Keep doing what you are doing Karen, we need more places like this and more owners like you!!“
“We ate here late on a Wednesday, and it was bustling. I can see why! The food was very good. Notably, everything in the combo #2 (soup, grilled eggplant, two tofu dishes, kimchi, rice) had distinctly different flavors. The vermicelli was also very good and distinct from everything else. Portions are very generous. Food came out not very hot. I'm not sure if that's intentional.“
“I took my partner here for his birthday dinner and we were blown away. He’s a chef and we’re usually pretty picky about these more upscale dining experiences but this one surpassed our expectations. Absolutely everything was delicious and creative and the ambiance was wonderful. I’m not usually drawn to vegan restaurants but this one is a must visit.“
“Originally mistook this pleasant little place as a 'sit down' restaurant. My friend I were looking for vegan Ethiopian fare, but didn't realize that it was a 'take away' outlet and mini grocery store . That did not matter, the kind woman who was looking after us that night, made room for us; make shift chairs and proceeded to prepare amazing food. She fed us freshly made items and that were very delicious. She prepared Ethiopian coffee. It was like being in someone's home. I actually picked up a couple of grocery items (nutritional yeast for one). Overall, a surprise visit on a very cold January evening, but it worked out remarkably well. Hospitality was top notch. Thank you! አመሰግናለሁVegetarian options: Just go and visit. The grocery items along the wall will cater to almost every vegan or vegetarian's needs. The place smells glorious. Nutritional yeast was/is great! Go in and someone will definitely help you.Dietary restrictions: If you're vegan, or lactose intolerant: no worries here! The servings are plentiful and delicious. No compromise on taste whatsoever.“
“Delicious home made veg meals - Egyptian plates - fresh, filling, reasonable pricing. Was my first time, and noted the people behind me were regulars. I will be back now that I know this place is here. Staff were friendly. Mint lemonade was refreshing and not sweet. 5 stars.“
“I went there for my wife's birthday dinner and the food was amazing. We had Falafel, Banaganuj and Lamb skewers and everything was deliciously good. The right quantity at a reasonable price. The lamb skewers with rice is a standout. Had a really nice experience here. We also had a complimentary Kunafa Ashta on the house as a special treat for birthday. The menu at this place is straightforward and the drinks were fantastic, the food was also perfect, reason why they are always busy.!!!Definitely will come back!!!“
“First time visit and I was not disappointed. The food was delicious - try the goat curry, it was amazing! We also had the goat biryani also fantastic. The service was really great, attentive staff, willing to take time to describe the dishes. Would recommend.“
“Their burgers are pretty great, but tbh my favorite thing was the waffle fries served alongside my burger. So crispy and flavorful with a nice pillowy inside. The fries were so good I finished them before remembering to take a picture. Also, everything was served steaming hot which was fantastic. The prices are not the lowest but it's good stuff. Updated from previous review on 2024-03-23“
“Absolutely incredible vegan journey! Where is your Michelin star?! Some of the dishes have an exquisite umami punch-through that hits the mark hard. So spot-on!Other than that, the bar area tables should be replaced as you cannot fit your legs between the table legs due to the design of having a table leg at each corner. Very uncomfortable in the bar area. Sore thighs and back pains.“
“Very cute spot to grab a meal with friends! But I found the food inconsistent. The pasta was overly salty, the eggplant sandwich was not seasoned at all, and the meatballs were perfectly seasoned.Their lattes and matcha are very delicious.I'd definitely come back for that.“
“The curry isn't spicy! April 2/24- the location is in a really relaxing area! My family came here to celebrate my momma's upcoming birthday and this place is in a holy building! The entire family came with but the atmosphere was so calming we'll try to come back cause this place is amazing!“
“My partner is not a vegan and he said the donuts are 10/10 and also he loves fritters and he said the chocolate banana fritter is the best he’s ever had. I’m obsessed with the carrot cake donut and the red velvet donut. We have tried so many of the donuts and they’re all great but some are perfect.“
“Everytime I’ve been to this pizzaiolo location, the food is always so tasty and fresh. The crust is crisp on the outside, soft on the inside, with generous toppings. And the young Asian man at the store front is always so friendly and helpful.“
“First of all I will say that I am not a vegan but inspire to be and these cheesecakes are to die for, like honestly! I have tried all of the flavours and I personally like the Espresso Choc. Chip and Raspberry. I highly recommend this company for gluten free, soy free, dairy free and refined sugar free tasty desserts.“
“This is the best vegan restaurant in Toronto! The menu is extensive and creative, the ingredients are fresh, and the portions are generous. The food is consistently delicious and nourishing, and the service is very friendly.Vegetarian options: All dishes at vegan (and therefore vegetarian) at this restaurant.“
“Vegan food, thoughtfully composed, well prepared and nicely presented. The menu is broad with salads, sandwiches, desserts, smoothies etc. Something for everyone. Prices are fair and the overall experience delightful.Service is at the bar and delivery to the table. Nothing fancy furniture-wise, but a pleasing aesthetic nevertheless. Highly recommended for vegans, vegetarians and anyone looking for a nutritious meal.“
“I absolutely loved the food, everything was made with fresh ingredients and the sauces were delicious. I particularly enjoyed the squash tacos and dragon fries. When I mentioned to the waitress that I was fasting, she kindly brought me some extra dates to break my fast,I didn't ask for them, which was an incredibly thoughtful gesture. The atmosphere is fantastic as well. I'll definitely be back to try more dishes!“
“Truely the best vegan burger I have ever had. I wasn't much of a burger eater in the past because I found them so mundane... that was until the day I first tried the Notorious Burger (my personal fav)!! From the softest bun imaginable, to the explosively delicious flavour... my mouth and tummy were overjoyed. And, To top it all off: The service has always been impeccable and consistent. No one can compete in my eyes and heart. I love you Guerrilla Burger! xoxo“
“I ordered a selection of cinnamon buns for my nephew's birthday - they were so awesome and delicious. Also, I really appreciated the attention to detail with the packaging...they wrote "handle with care" on the outside of the box and they were delivered perfectly in great shape. Thank you!“
“We were extremely happy with our Cake from bunners, my sister is fully vegan and finding a Last minute cake was hard until I found bunners, they are able to accommodate next day orders as long as you order before 12 the day before. The options to customize the cake fully to our liking was fantastic and the cake turned out exactly how I wanted it to! Not only was it beautifully done, but tasted delicious as well. A concern for myself was the moistness but that wasn’t a problem at all, everybody at our dinner enjoyed it and had no complaints.“
“I visited the Animal Liberation Kitchen today and tried the gyro. It was phenomenal! I am very excited to go back as the staff were so friendly and kind, and there is tons more stuff on the menu that I would love to try. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for a delicious cruelty-free meal in Toronto!“
“Friendly service with tasty food :”) We tried the Imitation Duck & Vegetable on Pan - Fried Noodle and the Veggie Salty Fish & Soy Chicken Fried Rice. The Noodle won us over and the Fried Rice was also delicious. The secret is that they have marinated bean curds and were skillfully processed to create a chewy and mouth-watering flavour.Honestly speaking, similar to what other reviews stated, the dishes are indeed pretty oily, however the green bean sprouts help balancing the taste so it’s not too bad. If you are used to Southeast Asian dishes then this would be right up your alley.“
“Wonderful experience and felt exceptionally well-treated. I brought a date here after dinner last night and we walked in an hour before closing. There was one one employee working. She told us about "THE" Ethiopian coffee ceremony, which was a touted option on the menu. I was intrigued and yet felt bad I'd make this poor girl do all that work around closing time. However she seemed really enthusiastic and we enjoyed everything about it. Thank you so much Senedu for the hospitality and information. That coffee was absolutely delicious ?. I'll be back to try the food!“
“Worth trying.Bar Review:Already tipsy topsy so we obviously had a good time. Bartender was fantastic fun, only because he's part of the whopper crew. Held down the fort all by himself that night.Drink prices are very reasonable. Not a lot of seating, 2 spots for groups of 7-9 ish, otherwise bar seating and 2 tops.“
“My favourite place for comfort vegan food in Toronto. My friends, partner and I are regulars here. The ambience is great and the staff are kind, attentive and friendly. I regularly recommend Hogtown Vegan to others. My favourite menu item is the UnChick'n Caesar Wrap but also love the Bacon Cheeseburger.“

“OMG! Best vegetarian spicy chicken banh mi anywhere. Didn't even have it this good in Hanoi!?! The tofu chicken pulls, shreds, and taste better then real chicken! Their vegetarian bun rieu is good too--especially over the weekend.Jan, 2024Owner change alert! Business has changed hands. The menu hasn't changed, but the flavors have fewer of the true complex authentic ingredients in their dishes. Woe!“
“We've lived in the neighborhood for 4 years and somehow had never tried Rancho Relaxo before, but today that changed. What a pleasant surprise. As someone who lived in Mexico for years and returned to Canada, finding good Mexican food is difficult. Other taquerias in the neighborhood are quite frankly overrated but Rancho Relaxo is fantastic, sure it's not "authentic" Mexican food but it's one of the best attempts I've had here in Toronto. Definitely will return.“
“This has very quickly become my go-to place as I work in the annex and am in this area with friends often. My first recommendation is always Happy Taco/Guerilla Burger- they are Ghost Kitchens located inside of Eva’s originals.I bring all my non-vegan/vegetarian friends to this joint and they are constantly surprised that the food is entirely plant based. And it’s not just that- the food is delicious. If you’re looking for an urban, street food type vibe, this is absolutely the place to go.There’s ample seating given the size of this place which makes it a great stop after a night out, or a lunch break. The staff is always incredibly friendly and helpful- making this locale a real hidden gem.Special mention to the soft serve option- as someone with friends who are lactose intolerant, a vegan soft serve option is incredible to have. And it is delicious- you wouldn’t know the difference! Get the strawberry syrup with the vanilla base and you’re golden.Vegetarian options: It’s entirely vegetarian and even the soft serve can be made vegan.“
“A nice and friendly pizza place. Small menu but very consistent and convenient. We ordered two large pizzas, three dips and two drinks. The pizzas were perfectly made in 15min and the crust was still nice and chewy after 30min! One of the better pizza chains in Toronto for sure“
“Found the BEST options for vegans in financial district. The "First Canadian bowl" is a testament to the "taste the rainbow" plate. I feel like there would be more dishes with chickpea or beans but otherwise - love this place.Vegetarian options: The whole menu is meatless“
“After months of driving past and being unable to stop I finally found my chance. Just amazing. Got the basic beef patty and basic chicken. Pastry was soft and flaky. Fillings were great in both. So much better than the basic frozen ones you tend to find reheated nowadays. And the interior was really bright and inviting. Will be back to try the other options, for sure!!!“
“Was really excited to visit but left a bit disappointed. The menu was quite small and the food, while pretty good, could be so much better for the price. Service was slow with 18% tip included (large party). Updated from previous review on 2024-04-11“
“Quick, affordable, healthy and fresh. For $15 you can get a hearty bowl packed with veggies, rice, sauce & a protein. Great change from all the fast food stops on Bloor. Only two tables to sit and dine in so unless you visit outside of rush hours, you will have to opt for take out.“
“First time here, loved it and did not even miss the meat.Great atmosphere, friendly staff and great tasting food.Vegan food done right! Loved the bang bang broccoli, Vodka pizza! Also if you like cocktails their Herb your enthusiasm is phenomenal.Their sushi is also a must try! So tasty!“
