“My girlfriends and I visited Planta a few weeks ago, and it was such a pleasant experience. It was my first time at the restaurant, and while I’m not vegan, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. I’m currently limiting my dairy intake, so I was thrilled to satisfy my pizza craving with one of their delicious dairy-free options.

The service was fantastic—both Sid and Grace were such a pleasure. Grace was especially knowledgeable and helpful when we were placing our orders, and when there was a small issue with my meal, they handled it quickly, apologetically, and with kindness.

I would definitely recommend Planta and can’t wait to go back!“

“Delicious vegan Caribbean food in the heart of Kensington Market. Veggie D'light hits the spot for lunch on a weekend. I had their meal with jerk saitan, veggies and basmati/quinoa. I asked about the soup of the day and was promptly offered a taste by the friendly chef. Had the medium soup as well--a delicious rich soup with yams and coconut milk. Now I have a new favorite lunch spot.“

“When I'm near Harbourfront this is my go-to restaurant: it's a convenient walk, has a huge selection, is all vegan, and you can find some good deals with bundles or happy hour timing. This trip I went 4 times in 6 days! If you go from 3-5 or from 8-10pm (closing) they have "Happy Hour" which includes a few juices and smoothies for 5$, some appetizers for 8$, and some other discounts I can't remember. If you go with a friend, they do "bundles for 2" all day, where you get to pick an appetizer and two entrees from a subset for 45$, plus you can add in juices or cake slices for 5$ each. The cake slices are huge and definitely a steal for 5$.“

“By far the best restaurant in Toronto so far. I came here for my birthday and the experience was transcendent. First, the service was top tier level, the waiter that took care of us was gentlemen with a great vibe. Best server I had in my life. They seated us according to our request (nice seating away from the entrance). They also printed a birthday card for me which was very considerate. They also called and emailed asking us very detailed oriented questions ahead of the dinner which was top notch. They also switched our utensils every meal which is a small detail yet powerful dinner experience detail. Sparkling water was also complimentary versus other restaurants. The pace of the food was perfect as well and they also gave me a small birthday cake!

Food was immaculate. An eye opening experience. I cannot even describe the food/art that I have eaten. Nothing disappointed me. They used the best of the best ingredients. Every dish was perfectly curated and every bite was orgasmic. If I was a multi millionaire, I would come here everyday. All the food was at the right temperature, nothing got stuck to our teeth, and I would say the egg & toast dish was one very memorable.

Now as for the atmosphere, the decor was elegant but the restaurant isn’t very big, thus the difficulty of getting a reservation. It was comfy and treated us extremely well.

Overall I recommend it for special occasions, not for a huge party but great for 4 people family or with your significant other. I will be coming back for sure one day.“

“Turmeric Latte was fantastic with a large variety of mylk options. Everything is vegan and gluten free. Their brownie was made in house and delicious. I love that everything tasted delicious and was so nutritious. Felt soo good after eating. Clean eating in disguise. Highly recommend. Even my girlfriend who is not vegan LOVED it! Also love that there is a Green P lot right near by- Lot 64.“

“Hogtown vegan is my favourite restaurant for sure! I have been eating here since they first opened (around 2012-2013 or so) and visit at least a couple times a year (more when finances allow!) Including on my birthday. They have an excellent selection and everything is super tasty. Some of my favourites are the Caesar salad and the bacon cheeseburger. Now I'm hungry!! I would recommend hogtown vegan to vegetarians, vegans and meat eaters alike (every veggie and meat eater who has visited with me has enjoyed everything!) Kids too 😊“

Caroline was amazing. She was very attentive, detail-oriented, and always one step ahead. She checked in at the right moments, gave helpful suggestions, and made sure everything was perfect. She was also very kind and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better.
