“My favorite dinner we had in Toronto goes to Antler. Nothing but exceptional food and service. We did the Chef's table, which literally and 2 seats on the kitchen window. Great experience! The Duck A L'Orange was one of the best cocktails we've ever had! Food was all served personally by the Sous Chef and it was great talking with him about the dishes. Menu consisted of Smoked Swordfish Carpaccio, Mushroom Bolognese (amazing), BC Halibut, perfect Duck Breast with their BBQ sauce and smoked potato salad, Cedar infused ice intermezzo (great story there), Venison rack and sticky toffee pudding. Everything was amazing. Take note the Chef's table can change day to day though some of their staple dishes are there for sure. Cheers to Antler!“

“My partner and I have been going to Actinolite every fall for the last few years to enjoy their garden patio and it never disappoints! The ambience is incredible and feels very intimate. It feels like you’re in a secret garden. The staff always make you feel very warm and welcomed. Their 5 course menu never disappoints and even better with their wine pairing. You never know what you get until you’re there but every dish is delightful and you can tell a lot of thought and love has been put into each dish. Absolutely love the whole concept and the bonfire during cooler weather is a cozy touch! Highly recommend.“

“Wanted to try 20 Victoria for our anniversary after having an amazing experience celebrating our first anniversary at Hexgaon with Chef Rafa.

Service was great. Loved how most of the ingredients are sourced from Ontario. Appreciate that they focus on what is in season for each menu however, I felt like there were too many dishes with tomatoes which could be a hit or miss for some. Each course was unique and different from the previous. Was so excited to eat the milk bread again. Although I preferred the cultural diversity of each course at Hexgaon, I’m looking forward to seeing what Chef Rafa will do at 20 Victoria for the next years to come.

Loved the cozy warm lit environment and laid back music with kitchen noise in the background. Felt easy going and comfortable, like having a dinner party at a friend’s house.

Definitely would recommend to others and will be back soon.“

“This restaurant is outstanding, exceptional experience. Met the Manager named Brad, struck up a bond instantly, he was a host with flair, attention to detail, and ran a finely curated experience. The food was exceptionally good, be sure to try the grilled jerked chicken, coconut rice, mac pie, fritters, and of course... the Lickle Patties. Very tasty food, well presented and the hot pepper sauce is euphoric.“

“If you want to have a fine dinning experience at a fair value it’s a good place. The students are very good and the quality of the experience and food is great.
The menu changes over the months which make it exciting to come back and try something new.

The experience was also very thoughtful and they made a special detail for our anniversary.

“A lovely modern bistro tucked away in Kensington Market and a great spot for a date night. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the service was attentive throughout the meal.

We enjoyed the food. The mackerel crudo was clean, refreshing and nicely prepared. The chicken liver ravioli did not disappoint, especially when paired with the bread we ordered. We also shared the steak and had a strawberry dessert at the end.

Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience, and since they change the menu regularly, we would definitely come back to try more dishes in the future.“

“Delicious every time! The seasonal menu is always a delight for the senses. I live two provinces away and we happened upon this gem of a place a couple of years ago. Yesterday, I had a layover in Toronto of around 12 hours. Took a terminal train, the up train, the subway and my feet all the way from Winnipeg to dine here. Scrumptious. Healthy. Leaves you feeling full without guilt! Two thumbs way up!“

“Stopped by for an early dinner earlier this week and the tasting menu still has me thinking about the trout roe course, silky and briny in a way I haven't had elsewhere in the city. The dining room has this understated, almost farmhouse warmth to it, exposed brick and low light that makes a solo counter seat feel just as good as a table for four. Our server clearly knew the wine list cold and steered us toward a natural red that matched the richer courses without me having to ask twice. Street parking near Ossington was tight around 6pm but the walk gave me time to work up an appetite, and honestly the meal was worth circling the block for.“

“Had the privilege of experiencing CANOE for the first time for a wedding and it was quite the experience. It is located on the 54th floor and the view is spectacular. There are plenty of seats, a bar, and a dance floor.
We were given a fixed 3 course menu with a decent amount of options to choose from. The soup is delicious and there's a nice thick, consistency to it. The salmon is seasoned nicely and I definitely recommend it. The carrot cake is great and it's not too sweet.
The staff provide excellent service from the moment you're greeted, to the point you leave the premise. They are friendly, attentive, and work very efficiently.

“Harbour Club at Your Quay is a hidden gem inside the building, and we had an amazing experience here.

The food was absolutely delicious and the setting is lovely with seating that overlooks the harbour front. The best part is that it’s usually not too busy except on special occasions, so it feels relaxed and welcoming.

We started with Onion Bhajji as appetizers — perfectly crispy with little to no oil, which we really enjoyed.

For mains, we had Butter Chicken with naan and rice (a generous portion, easily enough for two), Red Thai Curry Chicken (so flavourful), and Pad Thai pasta, which was creamy and cooked to perfection. Every dish impressed us.

Our chef, Johnny and server Malli, really made the evening special.

The restaurant is now under new management and ownership, and the menu truly has something for everyone.

Overall, fantastic food at a very reasonable price. A little insider note — this spot is only open to residents, which makes it feel even more special.“

“It was my first time there, as I am not from Scarborough, but met my friend who lives nearby. We both had the peameal bacon breakfast. It said 8 oz. of peameal served. It came with 4 super thick slices. I'm thinking more like 10 oz. minimum!!! Potatoes were grilled, not deep fried, and my eggs were perfect!!!! Great server!!!!! “A very interesting looking restaurant where the name and the decor seem not to match. However, does that really matter? The core gives you the feel of a hunting lodge and a sporting pub. The menu is small, which is great, especially since everything on it was delicious. Their burger was probably one of the best I’ve had in town.“

“Ricky our server was awesome. It had been 11 years since our last visit and it didn’t disappoint. I was determined to visit again and order the lobster poutine again. Food was amazing however there could have been more lobster on my lobster poutine considering the cost . That said hubby’s steak was excellent as was the very tender and flavourful calamari.
