“Wanted to try 20 Victoria for our anniversary after having an amazing experience celebrating our first anniversary at Hexgaon with Chef Rafa.

Service was great. Loved how most of the ingredients are sourced from Ontario. Appreciate that they focus on what is in season for each menu however, I felt like there were too many dishes with tomatoes which could be a hit or miss for some. Each course was unique and different from the previous. Was so excited to eat the milk bread again. Although I preferred the cultural diversity of each course at Hexgaon, I’m looking forward to seeing what Chef Rafa will do at 20 Victoria for the next years to come.

Loved the cozy warm lit environment and laid back music with kitchen noise in the background. Felt easy going and comfortable, like having a dinner party at a friend’s house.

Definitely would recommend to others and will be back soon.“

The service was truly top-notch: attentive, professional, and excellent throughout the evening.

Unfortunately, the food was a bit disappointing for a Michelin-starred restaurant. The oysters were quite fishy and didn’t taste very fresh, and the foie gras also had a noticeable fishy taste. Most dishes were also on the salty side.

The highlights were the crispy-coated salmon, which was tender and delicious, the chicken with lobster sauce, and especially the pumpkin ice cream for dessert.

Overall, amazing service, but the food didn’t quite live up to my expectations for the price and Michelin-starred reputation.“

“We stopped by Edulis on a Tuesday night after wandering around Leslieville and lucked into a table without much of a wait. The tasting portions were small but the mushroom toast alone made the trip worth it, so rich and earthy we ended up ordering a second round. Our server took real time explaining the menu and pacing the courses for us, which we appreciated since neither of us speaks much Spanish or French for the wine list. It's a cozy little spot, more of a house than a restaurant really, and exactly the kind of low key evening we look for after a full day of sightseeing.“

I was hoping to be able to meet Rob Rossi but I didn't just meet him, he was aware of our celebration and he took the time to come and great us .....I am a foodie so I was truly star struck. David Minicucci went above and beyond getting us a perfect table and ensuring we had a wonderful celebration. Thank you all at Ostaria Giulia from the chefs to servers and bar tender and the wonderful sommelier who suggested the perfect wine. We had an amazing time that I will remember forever. BRAVO!!!!!“

“Great night. Half-price bottles of wine on Mondays. And amazing ones at that! My friend and I sat at the bar and had a stellar experience. Our bartender and server Johnny was a delight and enhanced our experience at the restaurant. I would not hesitate to go back, especially on a Monday night.“

“Not a bad note at any time. Monica is a very good server who is knowledgeable, engaging but not smothering. There when needed. The food is inventive and so tasty. Small bites. Two of us ordered five dishes and loved them all. The sommelier, Tessa, makes an amazing Arancello (better than Limoncello)! Her wine list is interesting and extensive, covering most types and regions, but we would have liked more bottles from Ontario, although the ones provided are all really good. We shall be back.“

“The food is so yummy, try the lamb! the cocktails very unique and tasty, and the staff is lovely and helpful. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend. There was a situation where one of the other customers was not happy, she was horrible, she yelled, was rude and she called the staff racist names, I was so impressed with how the staff handled it. “Grabbed dinner at Jump on a Tuesday night with a couple friends and honestly it was way better than expected for a weeknight spot. We split the beef tenderloin and the scallops and both were cooked perfectly, plus the bartender talked us through a couple wine pairings without being pushy about it. The dining room has this nice buzzy energy even midweek, all exposed brick and warm lighting, so it still felt like a proper night out. Already planning to bring the rest of the group back for a weekend dinner soon.“

“We always love going to the Windsor Arms. The atmosphere was lovely and noise level low which allowed us to enjoy a conversation. The Summerlicious menu had a nice variety of options and was quite tasty. The server was great! He was very personable and attentive to each of the tables; which only added to the overall experience.“

“I decided to keep things casual and just do appetizers at One Restaurant this time, and honestly, it ended up being the perfect choice.

I started with the Korean Chicken Tacos, which were absolutely delicious. Everything was so well balanced, with each flavour complementing the next. A great way to start the meal.

Next up were the Wagyu Beef Sliders, which a friend had recommended, so I knew I had to give them a try. They did not disappoint. The beef was delicious and the sliders were packed with flavour. I’ll admit, I didn’t actually try the au jus, so I can’t speak to that part, but the sliders themselves were fantastic.

I also ordered the Chicken Skewers with a side of truffle fries, and these might have been my favourite of the night. The chicken was incredibly juicy and full of flavour, and I loved the subtle hint of ginger. The truffle fries were the perfect addition.

One of my favourite things about One Restaurant is sitting on the patio. I always request a table around the side along Hazelton Avenue because it’s a little quieter and I absolutely love the scenery on that side. It has such a lovely Yorkville atmosphere without feeling quite as busy.

As always, the service was excellent. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better.

Another great meal at One Restaurant, and I’ll definitely be back.“
