“I had my graduation celebration here a few weeks ago and it was PERFECT. This place is so unassuming from the outside, which I love. After walking in a narrow restaurant, we stepped into the most magical oasis in the back. Beautifully decorated with great natural light, fairy lights and wonderfully kind staff creating the most cozy and welcoming environment. I couldn't have asked for anything more and the food was also delicious and promptly served. We especially loved the skewers and beet salad! Thank you for such a wonderful experience. In addition to restructuring their business to remain somewhat open but safe for themselves and their patrons, they’ve been a voice above the racial hate and injustice the world has been forced to finally confront. When things got too bad, both Becky and Ryan have been around to help ease the anxiety and despair to not only those in Toronto, but all the way down in the southwest USA (virtually of course). Even if they themselves are going through the same if not worse hell that we’re in. I hope to see my good friends again to talk and laugh over a well crafted drink, and not through the lens of a webcam.“

“BarChef has become an annual visit for us, and we were glad we came back again. We ended up visiting twice so we could try more of their modernist cocktails, and everything we had was really good.
The drinks are creative, beautifully presented, and feel like more of an experience than just a regular cocktail. It is a fun place to explore the menu, especially if you enjoy unique flavors and more experimental drinks. Definitely a spot worth returning to.“

“Amazing speakeasy bar inside another bar. Very chic, amazing cocktails. Phoenix is recommended if you like spiced rum they also have dessert cocktails, which was a first for me. The bartender is super knowledgeable and can whip up anything, on and off the menu. They even gave us complementary shots. Overall a great experience, but please make reservations before you go“

“A nice Australian bar right by Bloor & Ossington. Their menu is small but everything they have on it is delicious, from cocktails to snacks. Don’t come looking for a full meal. Instead the menu offers comfort food to share or have alone, helping to absorb alcohol from those delicious cocktail treats.“

DRINKS: to me the drinks here is quite bold and have their characters. Not every drinks suit my taste, but it's still very fun to try their unique flavor combination.
• Nitro Colada: it's good but it has a little too much pineapple in it, making it very sour and not cery easy to drink.

• 11AM in Marseille: I couldn't taste much beewax in it as expected, but I love this more than the other drinks I had.

VIBE: weekend jazz performance. I create a very fun and chill vibe. I was just sit there enjoying the music and fell in love with this place.“

“We walked in at around 12:30 and it was a little empty on a Tuesday, we kind of assumed they were closing but we spoke to the bartender Stas and asked if we could bring in a group of around 20 people. She was super open to it and served our party after our night out at the ballet. It’s a yearly thing for us where we come to Melrose to celebrate after our annual gala and really appreciate Stas serving our large party by herself. She killed it. Will be back next year!!“

“DuPont 915 has been one of my fav secret spots in my neighborhood. I love it for the aesthetic interior, the unique curated drink menu, the DJ spinnin boogie bangers & the welcoming waiters. I’ve been told the food is decent but there aren’t many vegetarian options. They have small snacks to try which is nice with a drink. Sometimes they have chefs trying a new menu here so you get to try foods from Toronto chefs before anyone else!

This a great spot to visit with a small group. It’s a small spot so it can get packed if it’s busy. They have the best comfy seating too. I could relax all day. I like how it’s a cafe during the day and bar at night. The bathrooms were very clean as well. Definitely visit if you haven’t already!“

“Came in Saturday evening, seeing they were full 30 minutes after opening is a good sign. Had to be put on a waitlist, which was well worth it. The Steak and Caesar Salad stole the show for me. As for the fries they are okay, the mayo it came with is delicious. The boiled eggs were jammy and Dijon sauce were tasty. Overall I definitely be coming back to try the burger and soft serve.“

“Learned about this place from Too Good To Go app and decided to come here for lunch with a friend. It is a little hard to spot since it is hidden in a small street. We heard this place just open a month ago, so might explain why the place wasn't too busy. Good for us, since we could sit by the cozy lounge area. I got the Avocado Toast, and my friend the Mediterranean Cauliflower. The Toast was super balanced and beautiful (and so much avocado!). The Cauliflower had a lot of components and was very filling. We both agreed the food was 10/10. if you coming for Cocktail, would recommend the Amethyst and the Carribean Sour!“

“Met friends at Lulu Bar on Wellington Street for recently and very much enjoyed the vibes, good cocktails and light bites to eat during their afternoon (3-6pm) happy hour period. Opening hours are 11.30am to late each evening. Drinks were all just fine. We were very happy with the food servings which were presentable and honestly all very good. Edamame, broccolini, kale salad, pork belly and burger were all good. Service friendly and timely, prices quite good during the happy hour period. Found Lulu to be a fun place to meet up with friends during happy hour. This is a good venue, one we'd be happy to revisit during future trips to Toronto.“

“Visited for birthday drinks with my boyfriend. Love the vibe and the decor of the bar! The pornstar martini was one of the best I’ve ever had. We had made prior reservations, but Unfortunately we were seated right beside the door and backing on to the window. It was very cold considering it was -21 outside. Their house made cocktails were incredible, as well as the classics.
You could tell they really take pride in their drinks and food.

They had a few vegan options which were all very tasty.
I loved the spice they added to the hummus dish and the brussel sprouts were kind blowing.

Our server was incredibly kind and helpful with the menu.

“Bar Koukla had been on my list for a while, and while I still need to make it to Mamakas Tavern, I’m so glad I checked this spot out first. It was the perfect place for a catch-up with an old friend. We sat at the bar, which was such a great experience because we got to watch the chefs prepare each dish right in front of us.

The space itself is beautiful and incredibly clean, and our server was so warm and friendly. She gave us excellent recommendations and helped us choose the perfect dishes to try.

A standout for me was the Brizola. I’d never had steak prepared that way before, and it was absolutely delicious. I would 100% go back for that dish alone. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience, and I’ll definitely be back.“

“Found Almond Butterfly Bistro online after searching for a gluten free restaurant near princess of wales theatre. Attended for dinner and was so pleased with the service and the food! Although a little pricey, which is to be expected with gluten free foods, it was delicious and worth it! Only my 5 year old has celiac, but the rest of the family eats gluten and boasted about how delicious the food was and that they couldn’t even tell it was gluten free! Although they don’t have a kids menu, they have some kid friendly options like chicken fingers and Mac and cheese! Portions are a nice size though, so my youngest two were able to split the Mac n cheese and still have leftovers. Would recommend!“

“This is more than a cocktail bar, this is a little escape! The guest experience begins at the apothecary entrance and sets the tone that you're about to enter a secret passage. Great ambience, friendly service and the drinks were amazing. Le Parfum cocktail tasted like I went back in time to 1880s Paris. The smoked olives were delicious and abundant, and the staff surprised us with a candlelit crème brûlée to celebrate a birthday. That lemon lavender crème brûle was divine. My favourite part: the bill came in a little envelope sealed with melted pressed wax. A perfect touch to Prequel's Old World charm. Would definitely come back for a special occasion and experience it all over again!“

“Nice spot. Expensive, but delicious food and a fun atmosphere. An upscale lounge with cocktails, wine, beer and any common bar alcohol. They had an array of caviar options.

We indulged in the Waygu hotdogs with caviar on them, they were incredible, a table favorite for sure. The espresso martini was also a table fav. I enjoyed a simple vodka & pineapple juice.

There is a strict dress code, we saw someone turned away for relaxed attire. They do have a free coat check upon entry, then you go up an elevator to the main dining area. As long as you arrive before 10 PM it wont be too busy at the top of the elevator ride. after 10 ish it starts to really fill up before eventually becoming more of a dance than lounge vibe.

The staff were all very friendly to us, it is an upscale vibe though so I can see how some people in other reviews were rubbed the wrong way. But we had an excellent experience. I would come back with my fiance or friends for sure!

We wanted to try dessert but they have a 2 hour table max and we had to cash out before trying the banana split, that was unfortunate, but I guess next time!!“
