“Had such a great experience at Bar Banane last night. The vibe was warm and intimate without feeling pretentious. Perfect for a relaxed night out.

We ordered the smoked sturgeon rillettes, which were outstanding and perfectly balanced. Easily a standout dish.

For drinks, we tried the Berry Dangerous and Eleventh Hour, and both were fantastic.

Rude staff and an even more rude owner... don't bother complaining about anything because you're just going to get cussed at... absolutely appalling behavior... the usual crowd are loud obnoxious and seriously over their limits. I've witnessed tables and chairs falling all over the place on many occasions because people are way too intoxicated to think. The owner acts like he's untouchable and says things like " you're in a bar what do you expect " . I expect to be treated as a paying customer. Never going there again. also... one of the servers is literally always drunk out of her mind... my very first visit she was crying about her ex... and almost every time I ordered wings SHE GOT MY ORDER WRONG....over and over again!! let's just say ive had many free wings and stuff from her as an apology... I gave them a chance. several actually. but after that conversation with the owner.... im done. DO NOT RECOMMENDED!!!!“

“A very interesting looking restaurant where the name and the decor seem not to match. However, does that really matter? The core gives you the feel of a hunting lodge and a sporting pub. The menu is small, which is great, especially since everything on it was delicious. Their burger was probably one of the best I’ve had in town.“

“We were a group of 3 people and we'd been bar hopping all night and we were on our way home when we passed Decoy Bar and loved the vibe of the place so we just went in and was greeted by our friendly bartender Brandon. My friends and I had a blast! Brandon made us instantly feel welcomed, talked to us about the drinks and we ended up ordering a cocktail called Simply Cindy and it was the best drink of the night! We had gone to two other bars previously and by far the vibes at Decoy Bar and drinks and Brandon made the night super memorable. Will definitely visit again soon!“

“Came here on a whim last weekend not knowing much about the place, it is now on my favorites list.

Short Turn is a narrow and cozy spot which looks like it would be claustrophobic, but somehow isn’t. It balances the comfort of a diner with the elegance of a bar lounge to create quite a unique feel.

For drinks we ordered Pancake Manhattan and a non-tequila version of the Tequila Sunset. My wife really liked the idea of the Tequila Sunset, but hates tequila; the staff were more than happy to accommodate this bizarre request and they did so beautifully. The whipped OJ is just delicious and the drink came out perfect. My Pancake Manhattan was complex and warm, beautiful for sipping on the cold, wet weather we had. It was so smooth and kind of tasted like an alcoholic Werthers candy.

I also got the Char Siu Bolo Bao Brekky which could probably cure the worst of hangovers. Every part of the sandwich was super delicious, even the last couple bites of plain bun at the end.

“We had our company social at Greta Bar last week, and everyone had a fantastic time. The planning was very smooth, the food was great, the service was excellent, and we really enjoyed the games. It also wasn't too crowded, so we got to play as much as we wanted without long waits.

Overall, it was a fun and well-organized experience. I'd definitely recommend Greta Bar for team events or group outings!“

“I love the concept of the place, the right portions of food at a reasonable price which goes well with the wide variety of drink choices. However, some beers and cocktails were unavailable when we dined here.

We tried 4-5 dishes from their menu and every dish was absolutely amazing. Very close to Nepali taste with a bit of Western influence 👏.Chicken momo was really good, Chatpate and Mustang Alu were both outstanding, and Chicken choila was decent but still tasted good. We also ordered a few margaritas which tasted amazing.

It’s not often a Toronto bar can be reasonably priced, prioritize community, have amazing food/drinks, and a kind, knowledgeable staff — but Bluebird checks every box! “I was just at Zakkushi on Carlton, terrible service there！！！made me leave before even eating. I came next door to Kintaro, I’m so glad I did. The food here is much better, the flavors are balanced (unlike Zakkushi, which was way too salty), and the service was genuinely friendly and welcoming. This place beats Zakkushi in every way. Highly recommend Kintaro—skip Zakkushi and come here instead.“
