“I found myself on a business roadtrip. My friend and I had a lot of vendors to meet. Nothing was etched in stone. At 1:00 PM, we had a quick debrief. We invited Siri! "Restaurants near me!" Bingo. Milestones. Fabulous-looking place. Great, engaged staff. Sometimes, I feel I am worth more than a sandwich at lunch. I knew I was going to pay. My eye caught the OMG Carrot Cake. That's bold marketing. I liked it! I immediately ordered it To Go! Thought the bride might like it at home. I ordered the Thai Curry Bowl. My friend had the Roasted Mushroom Soup. We started to relax after our hectic morning. My friend was on the phone constantly. Sometimes, you do not need to chat endlessly. Silence can be very comfortable. That was not how it played out. I was truly moaning after every bite. What a fabulous curry! It was not overpowering. I am not afraid of spicy curry. I am a show-off according to most reports. I just sat there in amazement of this curry. I told the waiter afterwards. Will HAVE TO GO BACK AGAIN AND SOON! Thank you, Milestones, for a great experience. “it's never live when I go only around 1/3rd of the time. The other times it's loud random music with shuffle play whiplash. Their drinks are USUALLY good but one year's Halloween event they gave me "blood" which tasted awful I had to throw out and I don't like wasting food. I had a tummy ache after that too...

“We started going to this restaurant since covid-19. Honestly there were a lot of choices in Markham, and Ikon was not the only sushi restaurant we ordered our food. But things have changed because we can hardly find better restaurant in Markham. There are restaurants that focus on lots of menu choices, some name their food with unheard titles, and some raise their prices to make you feel theirs are imaginative "premium". But Ikon comes in simple packages. They give you the max quality of food in simple menu and shockingly reasonable price. The chefs and the owner (tall woman) always dress in clean and simple outfits, and then greet you with a warming tone as if you were a good friend. As a bonus, take-out orders come with a Japanese soft clothes to carry your food. The whole package is simple and beautiful. Thr portion is bigger than many places. Sadly not many restaurants are like this. Disclaimer: I don't own any restaurant. I do not know any of the staff members and the owners. Japanese food is our family's preferred cuisine.“
