“It was amazing. We ordered the chicken nanban• the egg salad was cold at first but inside the chicken was really hot once I took a big bite it became warm and creamy. I also enjoyed the pork belly donburi. The staff we very attentive and service was fast.“

“We started going to this restaurant since covid-19. Honestly there were a lot of choices in Markham, and Ikon was not the only sushi restaurant we ordered our food. But things have changed because we can hardly find better restaurant in Markham. There are restaurants that focus on lots of menu choices, some name their food with unheard titles, and some raise their prices to make you feel theirs are imaginative "premium". But Ikon comes in simple packages. They give you the max quality of food in simple menu and shockingly reasonable price. The chefs and the owner (tall woman) always dress in clean and simple outfits, and then greet you with a warming tone as if you were a good friend. As a bonus, take-out orders come with a Japanese soft clothes to carry your food. The whole package is simple and beautiful. Thr portion is bigger than many places. Sadly not many restaurants are like this. Disclaimer: I don't own any restaurant. I do not know any of the staff members and the owners. Japanese food is our family's preferred cuisine.“

“We had a party of 11 people for after a burial for a late lunch. Cat (our server) was great, very patient, friendly, and efficient....just the right balance. When I called to make the reservation, whoever answered phone was very professional and helpful (unlike Scaddabush who were totally the opposite on the phone...!). For this occasion, it was perfect as it's not very noisy (at that time of day anyway) so we could chat and hear each other just fine. Also, one dish was late, so they gave my niece a dessert on the house which was a very nice touch.
The one area I feel could be improved is to inform customers of the automatic gratuity added for larger parties. I think it was 20% which I feel is high and should be transparent beforehand. Other than that I would definitely recommend and return to this restaurant.“

“We came here for the first time and honestly had such a lovely experience! 🤍 Even though we came pretty close to closing time, our server Macai was so kind and welcoming. He and the rest of the staff were genuinely so friendly and made us feel comfortable.

And the Sophia Pizza… OMG! 🤌🏼 It was honestly the best! We absolutely loved it. Since it was our first time here, we tried the Happy Hour version, but next time we’re definitely ordering the regular one for sure!

“Great location and the food was made and cooked perfectly. As always got the four cheese spinach dip and hubby and me decided on burgers. Both were cooked and plated to perfection. Fries are a nice thick cut fry and cooked decently, but I would ask for well done next time as I prefer my fries a bit more crispy. Our server could of replenished our drinks before we finished eating, but it wasnt the end of the world. Just decided to not buy an additional round of drinks as we were pretty much done eating. As a customer thats okay, as a business owner they missed out on the upsale of a second round.“

“Chat Bar has such a cool vibe for a late-night hangout! The energy is lively, fun, and perfect for catching up with friends over drinks and snacks. The food is great for sharing, the atmosphere feels young and relaxed, and it’s the kind of place where the night naturally keeps going. Service was friendly and quick, even later in the evening. “My friends and I have now been going to Gabby's for quite a few times, maybe about 6 by now, usually on Sundays. The last couple of times have been on a Friday and Monday. We are mostly handicapped, using walkers or a wheelchair. I usually make the reservation, and specify a table near the lovely large windows. It has never been a problem on Sundays, but there seems to be one waitress who objects to our sitting near the window as we will "block" the servers. It is difficult enough being handicapped never mind having a surly woman telling us we are a problem. So, maybe this woman doesn't work on Sundays. We love this restaurant and the food and atmosphere is so great, usually. Most disappointing.“

“We had a emo themed birthday celebration on the weekend and we picked the evening slot (8pm-3am). My friends and I had a great time singing, dancing and snacking. The staff was very accomodating, friendly and helpful. They also gave us a nice treat from the house which was a very sweet touch :). We had a lot of fun memories. Highly recommended for friend-get-together. We will defenitely comback to try some of their other snacks as it was sold out.“

When we first walked in, the music was pretty loud, but they quickly turned it down for us, which was nice. They have karaoke too, and the sound system is awesome. “This bar is great. A friend of mine works here and she is super cool.....its a good place to go later on at night as it always gets busier then. They also have karaoke and a DJ during the week. The beer and liquor prices are affordable as well.“

“We had the lunch special for two that included soup, salad, and main courses included lobster, scallops, chicken and steak grilled to perfection.

The chef demonstrated culinary skills and performed quite an entertaining show for us. She even interacted with us by tossing a small piece of broccoli into our hungry mouth. It was like scoring a three pointer in a basketball shootout!

Overall lunch was enjoyable and the waitress was attentive and polite.

“First time visiting here. Love the taste of caffe latte and grilled panini at a reasonable price. Picture was only taken after I ate the half of panini already. Looks like they have a good selection of desserts as well as a set menu of panini, small coffee and small salad, which I will try next time.“

“I love to come here every Sunday afternoon if I can, after 3 p.m. I start with a tall glass of cold ginger ale on the rocks, followed by a lovely bowl of French onion soup. My so-called main meal depends on the mood I'm in. It's all good. The staff are very kind and friendly. Very relaxing atmosphere. They even have a big fireplace in the middle of the restaurant, for those cold days in winter. I can hardly wait!

Parking: The reason I come here on Sunday is because there is lots of parking. It's usually full on the weekdays because of the DOT main Ministry building where you get tested we're driving a car to get your driver's license. Always busy“

From the get-go, Zara was a beacon of professionalism and support. Despite the numerous revisions, customizations, and extensive back and forth communication, Zara remained courteous, patient, and incredibly flexible, making the entire process smooth and stress-free. On the day of the event, the food was delivered right on time, and Zara even made a special visit to the venue to ensure that everything went off without a hitch. Her dedication to overseeing the logistics was truly above and beyond. Zara had earlier organized a tasting menu for us, which was a delightful experience and she coordinated the delivery of items with impeccable attention to detail. Speaking of the food, it was nothing short of incredible! Our guests couldn't stop raving about the flavors and the quality. The quantity was generous enough to feed a village, and everyone left with satisfied palates and happy hearts. We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to Zara and the entire Team Adrak for their outstanding performance and support on our special day. Their contribution made a significant impact, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Unfortunately, we did not take too many photos of the food laid out but the photos couldn't even do justice. “Just stopped by with my husband to check out the place on a Friday night as I’ve never been here before. Was stopped at the door by security. I asked politely if I could have a peek inside before paying the $15 entry fee for each of us and was told “NO, we don’t do that”. WTF??? You don’t do what??? I can’t see what I’m paying for? Disgusting. I would not recommend this place. I felt discriminated against and That they didn’t want my business. My husband often orders food from here. They have lost his business. Trash.“
