Over the years I’ve probably walked past Red Cranberries restaurant hundreds of times. I’ve never stopped in. But I visited Cabbagetown today and wanted to try something new. Stopped in last Saturday after a long travel day and was pleasantly surprised by how quiet and unhurried the dining room felt even with a full house. The wild mushroom risotto was exactly the kind of dish that makes you slow down, properly creamy with just enough earthiness to feel intentional rather than accidental.
