We enjoyed the food. The mackerel crudo was clean, refreshing and nicely prepared. The chicken liver ravioli did not disappoint, especially when paired with the bread we ordered. We also shared the steak and had a strawberry dessert at the end.

Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience, and since they change the menu regularly, we would definitely come back to try more dishes in the future.”

“My partner and I have been going to Actinolite every fall for the last few years to enjoy their garden patio and it never disappoints! The ambience is incredible and feels very intimate. It feels like you’re in a secret garden. The staff always make you feel very warm and welcomed. Their 5 course menu never disappoints and even better with their wine pairing. You never know what you get until you’re there but every dish is delightful and you can tell a lot of thought and love has been put into each dish. Absolutely love the whole concept and the bonfire during cooler weather is a cozy touch! Highly recommend.”

“Amazing food. We ordered the Husband + Wife Beef. Absolutely loved it. I could eat that all day. The Dan Dan noodles was ultimate comfort food. That was probably my favorite dishes out of all of them. The silver needle noodle was so different and provided that umami flavour that I never had. The cabbage was good, the topping saved the dish. The short ribs and steak were ok. The short ribs weren't as tender and the steak was so chewy, that we to return it. But the staff was apologetic and compensated us with another Dan Dan noodle dish. As for dessert, delicious! Both the French Toast and their soft serve ice-cream, inhaled it! And they make amazing cocktails, I loved the Pear Vesper. Overall, great evening and food, would definitely go back again.”

“Wanted to try 20 Victoria for our anniversary after having an amazing experience celebrating our first anniversary at Hexgaon with Chef Rafa.

Service was great. Loved how most of the ingredients are sourced from Ontario. Appreciate that they focus on what is in season for each menu however, I felt like there were too many dishes with tomatoes which could be a hit or miss for some. Each course was unique and different from the previous. Was so excited to eat the milk bread again. Although I preferred the cultural diversity of each course at Hexgaon, I’m looking forward to seeing what Chef Rafa will do at 20 Victoria for the next years to come.

Loved the cozy warm lit environment and laid back music with kitchen noise in the background. Felt easy going and comfortable, like having a dinner party at a friend’s house.

Definitely would recommend to others and will be back soon.”

She made sure I felt comfortable and was always willing to take the time to answer my questions and help me find exactly what I was looking for.

One of the things I appreciated the most was how knowledgeable and helpful she was when it came to recommending products. She gave me suggestions based on what I was looking for and recommended different things that I might be interested in buying. Her recommendations were genuinely helpful and made my shopping experience much easier because I didn’t have to spend as much time trying to figure out what would be best for me.

Appy was also very welcoming and had a great attitude the entire time. She never made me feel rushed or pressured into buying anything, and she was happy to explain things and give me her honest suggestions. It was clear that she actually cared about helping me have a good experience rather than just making a sale.

Overall, I had a really great experience because of Appy. She was kind, respectful, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful, and her customer service was outstanding. She tried to convince me that it would only take a couple of minutes, eventually she persisted and convince me saying she only wanted to help. I gave in, It worked out fine. This young lady never gave up, now there is someone who just improved your customer relations by 100%. A 5 star employee.”

“It’s very rare that you come across a local well known brand that is run very well. The brothers who own this are extremely connected to their regulars and even just walk in guests. The staff are always on top of things and simply epic. I always feel bad as I forget his name but a front of house supervisor with shorter hair is the absolute definition of what a fast food employee should be. He is incredible.

Quality, consistency and service never misses at this place as you can tell it starts from the top!

“Pita & Hummus on Yonge Street is one of those places you go for the taste and value, not the ambience. Their $12.99 buy-one-get-one chicken shawarma deal is an excellent offer, and the shawarmas are a really good size with fantastic taste.

I specifically like my shawarma Syrian-style with chicken, garlic sauce, pickles, and fries, and they made it exactly the way I requested. The fries really complete the wrap for me. They also offer free fried pita, which is a really nice gesture and something you don’t see everywhere.

The ambience is just okay, but honestly, at these prices, you can easily grab your shawarma and enjoy it while walking around downtown. In my experience, the taste and affordability are better than many of the more famous shawarma brands around this area.

The one thing they really need to work on is customer service at the cashier. When I was paying, the lady taking my order seemed to be in a rush. I had just finished paying and was putting my card and things back into my wallet when she repeatedly asked me to move away. I understand that other customers need to place their orders, but you should give a customer a few seconds to put their belongings away after paying. People aren't going to stand there unnecessarily, they'll naturally move once they're done. A little patience and better training at the cashier would make the experience much better.

Overall, though, I really enjoyed the shawarma and would definitely come back for the great taste, generous size, and affordability.”

The Duck A L'Orange was one of the best cocktails we've ever had! Food was all served personally by the Sous Chef and it was great talking with him about the dishes. Menu consisted of Smoked Swordfish Carpaccio, Mushroom Bolognese (amazing), BC Halibut, perfect Duck Breast with their BBQ sauce and smoked potato salad, Cedar infused ice intermezzo (great story there), Venison rack and sticky toffee pudding. Everything was amazing. Take note the Chef's table can change day to day though some of their staple dishes are there for sure. Cheers to Antler!”

The service was truly top-notch: attentive, professional, and excellent throughout the evening.

Unfortunately, the food was a bit disappointing for a Michelin-starred restaurant. The oysters were quite fishy and didn’t taste very fresh, and the foie gras also had a noticeable fishy taste. Most dishes were also on the salty side.

The highlights were the crispy-coated salmon, which was tender and delicious, the chicken with lobster sauce, and especially the pumpkin ice cream for dessert.

Overall, amazing service, but the food didn’t quite live up to my expectations for the price and Michelin-starred reputation.”

“We previously dined at The Eggplant restaurant, in this same location. It was our favorite restaurant. We were disappointed when it closed. Recently, we discovered that The Wild Oregano is in this location, with the same chef. We were delighted. Sivan was our waiter. He was very professional and pleasant. “Myself and 3 friends just tried Kadak for their Summerlicious Menus and we were extremely pleased with our choice! Their 3 course menu had lovely options and the server (owner?) asked if we would like to share so we could try more dishes and it was a great idea. All dishes were put in the middle of the table. We loved everything! It's the best Indian food I've had and the others in our party agreed. It's definitely worth a try and we will be back!”

“I must say.....well deserved 5star .. had a wonderful dinner with my wife, the food was great = even the Ribeye Steak w/ rapini was great at an Italian restaurant . The servers were absolutely amazing, so attentive - due to small tables= the doormen were so friendly = kudos to management / ownership - If you're looking for a true authentic Italian restaurant = this is one you shouldn't miss out on. The Sugo (red sauce) was amazing”

“The Amsterdam Brewhouse is located along the Lake Ontario Waterfront at Queen's Quay West. They have a large indoor and outdoor seating area and are open from 11am to late (weekdays) and 10am to late (weekends). Menu features the Amsterdam Brewery label draught beers along with a fairly typical bar food menu. We visited recently during a warm weekend afternoon and were able to be seated immediately. Blonde Lager tasted just fine, artichoke dip was pretty good as well. Prices are a bit high but we found food and drink quality to be fair enough, food portion sizes are good. Venue is quite fun and views of the lake are great. Amsterdam Brewhouse is a fun place, we'd be happy to pop in again during future walks along the waterfront.”

Only suggestion is if you are going to take home left overs they give you a number and it’s up to you to ask for it at the end. If you forget to ask you are out of luck. I was so looking forward to taking the left overs to my honey at the hospital.😔 We will just have to come back😊”

“Both the ambience and the food are great. The only reason I'm giving it three stars is that it was foolish to leave the restaurant door closed during the business hour. While the mall entrance door was closed after business hours, we were told to go outside, and then call the mall security to guide us back in. Customers come and go during restaurant hours, so isn't it only natural to keep the main door open.”

“Recently met friends for dinner at STOCK T.C. on Yonge Street recently. This is a nice Italian restaurant (2 & 3/F) and food market on the ground floor. Opening hours are 8am to 10pm (weekdays) and 8am to 11pm (weekends). Reservations highly recommended, especially for 3rd floor outdoor seating. During our recent meal, we were very happy with the mushroom salad, pappardelle al sugo d'Angello, a richly flavoured pasta with delicious white wine sauced lamb ragu, and the Raviloloni all'uovo, another nicely prepared and richly flavoured dish. Dessert and wine pairing was up to par as well. Service very friendly, indoor seating environs nice for evening dining. Would gladly eat at STOCK T.C. again during future visits to Toronto.”

With every bite you can taste the quality of what you are eating. I ate there with my 3 and 6 year old recently and they loved it just as much as I did. “I accidentally stopped by this cafe today. Once I entered, I felt as if I know everyone there. I saw the owner chatting with everyone and his assistant girl moving among tables like a butterfly. The owner is so gentle. I didn't talk to him, but was monitoring his amazing attitude with ppl. He was sitting with a customer, then he was chatting with another one at the cash. I even saw him cleaning the floor. What an example!
His assistant was serving coffees and food with a real smile on her face. They just made me happy. What a vibe! I got a cappuccino and it was heavenly good! Thanks guys for making your own real community, for dealing with ppl that nice (rare in Toronto). If I wanna come back to Toronto, I would come back just for this coffee shop.”

“WOW! What an incredible dinner! First off, Renee was such an attentive and quality server, very rare these days, so I have to give her a shout-out! She gave us great recommendations, walked us through the specials, and suggested we do half-and-half with our pizza, which was perfect for our group. Our glasses were always full, and she was really on top of the timing of everything. She genuinely made for such a great dining experience!

The special was sardines on crispy polenta, and it was absolutely delicious and looked like a work of art. I need to get it again! The arancini, calamari, vodka rigatoni, and fig pizza were also big hits with my friends. On top of that, the prices didn't break the bank and I felt I got good value for the quality and amount of food. The vibe of the restaurant was amazing too, cool space and great playlist. It’s sort of like an elevated and modern spin on classic Italian decor.

Can’t wait to put more of my friends onto this restaurant and try more of the menu!”
