“By far the best restaurant in Toronto so far. I came here for my birthday and the experience was transcendent. First, the service was top tier level, the waiter that took care of us was gentlemen with a great vibe. Best server I had in my life. They seated us according to our request (nice seating away from the entrance). They also printed a birthday card for me which was very considerate. They also called and emailed asking us very detailed oriented questions ahead of the dinner which was top notch. They also switched our utensils every meal which is a small detail yet powerful dinner experience detail. Sparkling water was also complimentary versus other restaurants. The pace of the food was perfect as well and they also gave me a small birthday cake!

Food was immaculate. An eye opening experience. I cannot even describe the food/art that I have eaten. Nothing disappointed me. They used the best of the best ingredients. Every dish was perfectly curated and every bite was orgasmic. If I was a multi millionaire, I would come here everyday. All the food was at the right temperature, nothing got stuck to our teeth, and I would say the egg & toast dish was one very memorable.

Now as for the atmosphere, the decor was elegant but the restaurant isn’t very big, thus the difficulty of getting a reservation. It was comfy and treated us extremely well.

Overall I recommend it for special occasions, not for a huge party but great for 4 people family or with your significant other. I will be coming back for sure one day.”

I’m currently limiting my dairy intake, so I was thrilled to satisfy my pizza craving with one of their delicious dairy-free options.

The service was fantastic—both Sid and Grace were such a pleasure. Grace was especially knowledgeable and helpful when we were placing our orders, and when there was a small issue with my meal, they handled it quickly, apologetically, and with kindness.

“In December 2025, my daughter chose to celebrate her birthday at Yukashi Japanese Cuisine, and we were simply amazed. We chose the Omakase menu, an experience that also includes thoughtfully paired beverages and sakes with each course.
Chef Daisuke Izutsu and his entire team delivered an exceptional experience from start to finish. Since we didn’t know exactly what to expect, we arrived feeling a bit anxious. Right at the beginning, we were welcomed with a sake described as an “ice breaker” and that’s exactly what it was. From that moment on, we relaxed, felt completely at ease, and enjoyed the experience to the fullest.
With each course presented, we were immersed in the stories behind the dishes, enriched by an incredible attention to detail and followed by an explosion of flavors with every plate we tasted. The experience went far beyond dining it was a true journey.
To end the evening on a perfect note, we were served the much-anticipated dessert truly indescribable, with a unique and unforgettable flavor. As a beautiful and thoughtful gesture, the team also surprised us with a small birthday cake topped with a candle, beautifully presented on a plate decorated with “Happy Birthday.” This moment perfectly reflected the care, warmth, and attention that made the entire experience so special.

“I went to try Tiny Market for lunch. The place is truly tiny with limited seating inside. The staff are attentive and eager to answer any questions. I tried one of the two lunch specials the Casserece allá Amatriciana.
The pasta was hot and cooked al dente. The flavours were amazing and the sauce was rich and creamy. The guanciale was generous and found throughout the dish. What an amazing dish and it was well priced at $19.
They have fresh pasta, sauces and lasagna for take home. All they items are made in house and are on rotation. They also have frozen options as well.
I will definitely to try again when I’m over that way.”

“Union is a nice and cozy restaurant. The cocktails we ordered (the magnolia spritz and the union martini) weren’t particularly strong. In fact, we were questioning whether they added any alcohol at all. But perhaps that’s our personal taste. The food, overall, was okay. We had the dry aged steak, fish, ribs and hen. Of the four, the fish was the tastiest dish. The hen was cooked well and the chalet sauce paired well with it. On the other hand, we were let down by the steak, which did not have any dry aged flavour whatsoever. Texturally, the ribs felt as they were cooked the day before and reheated, giving them somewhat of a stale and chewy feel. We also ordered three desserts: the orange chocolate tart, the cheesecake and the ginger cake with ice cream. I would strongly recommend the ginger cake and ice cream. The cake was sweet and fluffy and the contrast of heat and cold from the ice cream was lovely. The cheesecake was just okay but the tart was a disappointment; we left most of it on the plate. Overall, a decent experience with a couple of hits and misses.”

“I recently dined here with a group of four for a birthday dinner. Overall, the food itself was excellent — really vibrant flavours, well-balanced spice, and beautifully presented dishes. You can tell there’s care put into the cooking, and everything we tried tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. We all really enjoyed the duck confit leg.

That said, the value just didn’t match the quality. After sharing several dishes (5 to be exact), the bill came out to about $50 per person, which felt steep considering the portion sizes. Unfortunately, despite spending that much, we actually left the restaurant still hungry. $21 for a glass of white (la grande ourse) when a bottle itself in retail costs around $40 is diabolical.

If you’re going for flavour alone, it’s a great spot. But for the price point, I was expecting more generous portions or a more filling experience. Delicious food — just not the best value for a group dinner.”

“Looking for a new, favourite haunt? We highly recommend the Prohibition Social House. Located in the Riverside Neighbourhood on Queen Street just across the bridge from the Distillery District and known as the small town in a big city. The ambiance is subdued with low lighting and soft music, creating an inviting, friendly and intimate atmosphere. We dined 2 evenings while visiting nearby family. The menu is creative, diverse and complete, which would satisfy tastes from the basic to the more discriminating palates. Beer and wine selections were impressive and very reasonably priced, especially during their 2 different happy hours. Our servers were Victoria and Talia, both of whom were courteous, friendly, personable, highly engaging and extremely professional. We were also warmly welcomed by management staff. Customer service was outstanding. These qualities and the food made us return customers. On the first evening, we thoroughly enjoyed battered mushrooms, tuna tartare, cob salad and the famous Prohibition burger. The mushrooms were not the standard button variety, but specialty oyster mushrooms coated in a light breading, quick fried and served over greens with a very flavourful aioli sauce. The elegant bluefin tuna tartare was fresh, succulent and professionally presented. The cob salad was fairly standard, but plentiful. The meal highlight was the burger. The Prohibition Social House grinds their own beef, meaning that you can order your burger cooked from rare to well done. I ordered mine medium rare. Complete with fries it was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious, served on a brioche bun with fixings on the side so that you can tailor your burger to preference. All food (other than the salad) was piping hot. The burger was so delicious, I also ordered it on the second evening. No disappointment here… once again, it was consistently impeccable. During our second visit, we also ordered the battered calamari. Again, lightly breaded served over greens with another very flavourful aioli sauce and cooked to a delicate exactness. We also ordered the mushroom ravioli, which was served in a delectable creamy, bechamel sauce. Portions were perfect. All in all… an awesome and impressive dining experience. “Went for dinner last night before going to a show. The menu was a bit out of our normal experiences but we wanted a different experience. Or booth was comfortable. Jason answered all of our questions, no matter how silly they probably were for him. He was engaging but not over the top - very likeable. We tried four of the spicy dishes and they were all exceptional! We did not try the skewers, which we now regret, but we will go back to do that for sure. What a great dinner experience! Thank you, Jason, and your team. We even enjoyed seeing your take-out container in action 😉.”

“We have passed the sign for Dhillon's Karahi many times without eating there. That is our loss. We decided on a whim to check it out this evening and were delighted with our meal. The samosas were delicious: having the sauces on top, rather than on the side, gave them a special flavour. The mixed vegetables and Lamb Korma were perfectly done. And the Naan and rice were the perfect compliments. We enjoyed and will be back. Thank you.”

“The Amsterdam Brewhouse is located along the Lake Ontario Waterfront at Queen's Quay West. They have a large indoor and outdoor seating area and are open from 11am to late (weekdays) and 10am to late (weekends). Menu features the Amsterdam Brewery label draught beers along with a fairly typical bar food menu. We visited recently during a warm weekend afternoon and were able to be seated immediately. Blonde Lager tasted just fine, artichoke dip was pretty good as well. Prices are a bit high but we found food and drink quality to be fair enough, food portion sizes are good. Venue is quite fun and views of the lake are great. Amsterdam Brewhouse is a fun place, we'd be happy to pop in again during future walks along the waterfront.”

Only suggestion is if you are going to take home left overs they give you a number and it’s up to you to ask for it at the end. If you forget to ask you are out of luck. “Definitely felt like I was in Paris again. The steak frites were perfect, duck confit juicy and full of flavour. Excellent service. The only thing was, I was very disappointed in the French onion soup. It was bland and flavourless, for the price I expected it to at least be good. The pear tart was also a very strange combination of flavours, maybe too sweet for me? Looking past the 2 appetizers, I had a great meal.”

“Great indian food and great service. The flavours and spice level match what was described to us.

Loved the chilli fish and the butter naan was pillowy and soft. Definitely the best tandoori bread I've had in Toronto. Chicken tandoori momos and the malai kofta curry were good too. Will be back to try other curries.”

“Delicious foods. Vodka pasta was amazing, mushroom pasta was okay. A nice trendy tiktok restaurant worth the hype at least once. Happy hour starts right at opening and we were lucky to get a table no reso exactly at 5pm opening but it is recommended you make a reso first.”

“The food is incredible and big portions, the servers were very attentive and the atmosphere is very chill. We got the hummus plate, a starter of falafel and a couple schnitzel sandwiches. They have have a very respectable selection of draft and canned craft beers to make the meal perfect”

“I celebrated my girlfriend’s birthday here, and overall it was a great experience. Sushi Kiwami is definitely a place worth trying. The service was very friendly, and many of the dishes were creative and unique—things you don’t usually see at other sushi restaurants.

Some sushi pieces didn’t quite hit the spot, but overall the quality and presentation were still very enjoyable. There’s a little room for improvement, but it’s still a solid place for a special occasion.

“I didn't think anything could replace Glory Hole when they left Parkdale, but Fab has done it! Unpretentious, delicious and gorgeous donuts with the friendliest baker I have ever met. Fab loves our dog Gracie and started yelling hello to us from across the street before we even came to the shop. When we finally stopped in, Gracie was immediately given her own full sized donut...Fab has a friend for life. So nice to have a fantastic new spot in the hood. These are the best donuts ever!”
