“Have enjoyed having brunch at The Dorset. The atmosphere is lovely, with a great deal of art, and it is beautifully decorated.
Enjoyed the lower level more; the upper level looked fun, but it was next to the open kitchen, which had a strong smell.

The food was great, with good, moderate portions that you prob will not be taking to go.

Service is fantastic, and the staff are well-dressed and uniformed. Beers and drinks menue has variety.

Would come again.“

“A good friend from Montreal, was in Toronto today, and an acquaintance who we haven't seen for some time, and Bill and I met for a late lunch at the 'House on Parliament', (454 Parliament St. - west side of the St., south of Carlton St.). Someone recommended to us and it was our first visit there. The staff were friendly and attentive, the atmosphere was great, the food (great menu) was delicious, and the prices were fair! I had the 'Vodka cured smoked salmon' with fresh basil cream cheese, capers, cucumber, red onion confit and crostini. Very fresh and very tasty. The others also really enjoyed their meal too. If you're ever in the vicinity, I would highly recommend going there. Check out their page on fb to see some great pics of the food they serve. We will definitely go back there...“

“Came here with a friend for a casual dinner on a Wednesday evening. Last time we came here without a reservation it was packed but this time it was very quiet (but we still made reservations) I had been eyeing the duck which was what I ordered and it was delicious! On Wednesday they also had $1 oysters and I got a half dozen. The oysters were very fresh and the sauces paired well.

I loved everything about my meal and experience and would definitely come back. I would probably get a full dozen oysters next time though! Highly recommended!“

“Was craving nachos so stopped in! We thought the small nachos was the right size for but all the extras (protein, guac and hot cheese) are sized for the large order so we ordered the Quesa Birria to add some protein to our meal. Both were fine but nothing special. The chips were stacked in such a way that the top layer had lots of toppings but the chips underneath were plain.

The atmosphere is very loud and community feeling - great if you’re looking to meet new people but not so great if you’re trying to have a conversation.“
