My father and I came to Dorset for Father’s Day brunch and had a wonderful experience. We ordered the Halibut and Chips and the Braised Beef Skillet, and both were amazing and good portion size . Our server, Saba, was welcoming, attentive and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. We order Sticky Toffee Pudding for our dessert which was really tasty to finish our meal. Thank you Dorset.

The Dorset offers a delightful dining experience with elevated English cuisine, featuring standout dishes like the soft and flavorful salmon and a unique take on British classics. The restaurant's menu is impressive and varied, including Cornish pasties that are crispy with a peppery beef filling, and traditional dishes like fish and chips, steak, burger, and cottage pie, all cooked well and presented nicely. Brunch remains a highlight, with delicious food and a warm atmosphere, although some reviews mention that the restaurant can be a bit loud, making quiet conversation difficult at times. The decor is beautiful with different areas providing variety, creating a lovely ambiance suitable for family dinners or nights out. The staff is friendly, attentive, and service is generally good, even when busy. The drinks menu includes good wine by the glass and creative options like the Hugo spritz. The food comes out fast and hot, and portions are just right. Notable dishes include the salmon with caviar and the Rabbit Cavatelli with tender rabbit, fresh cavatelli, sweet butternut squash, and pumpkin seeds. The Dorset duck burger is a super unique creation, extremely saucy, with a thick, moist, juicy patty and a crispy toasted bun. The sticky toffee pudding is a perfect dessert with cinnamon and nutmeg spices, soaked in a strong, sweet syrup with a salty, caramel-y flavor, contrasted by a creamy foam and cold ice cream. The lamb with mint sauce is also well liked, and the food is consistently fresh and tasty. While some find the music too loud and not suited for dining, overall, the experience is enjoyable. The restaurant offers a cozy atmosphere with well-thought-out decor, making it a great place for a relaxed meal. Prices are a bit high but justified by the quality and experience. Highly recommended for those seeking good food in a charming setting.
