Firkin on Yonge Reviews
I come to this Firkin often and usually have a great time, but my latest visit was really disappointing. I brought friends out for the MEX vs ENG FIFA game, cause it my go to spot. Despite the pub not being very busy, the service was poor.
Even though the pub wasn't overly busy and had plenty of open seats, our server seemed completely impatient. During our first drink order, he rushed off before anyone else at the table could even speak. This rushed, inattentive...read full review

The Firkin on Yonge offers a variety of food and drinks, providing a fun bar experience. The beer is cold, and the cocktails are sweet and tasty. The food is generally very good, with the Chicken Parmigiana and The English Dip being particularly well-received. The butter chicken and the fish tacos are superb, and the coleslaw is delicious. However, the food quality can be inconsistent. The fish and chips can be disappointing, with the fish dry and overcooked, while the nachos appetizer may arrive at the same time as the meal.
The restaurant has a typical pub atmosphere, decorated with a British theme. The service is commendable, with staff being understanding and servers described as attentive, friendly, and always smiling. They are prompt, organized, and go above and beyond. The atmosphere and service are great, but better planning for service upstairs is required, as it can be understaffed. It is a good spot for casual drinks, with a great selection of non-alcoholic drinks. The portion sizes are large, and the prices are considered good for a downtown Toronto establishment.
