“Alo Restaurant does stand for its reputation as 1 Michelin Star restautant. We had a ten couse meal last night and were very satisfied. We nearly missed it because its location is a bid hidden, tuck in an old building at the third floor with no significant sign nor billboard. But the food and service were excellent. You cannot go wrong with the Hokkaido Scallop, Shrimp Toast, La Canardierre Foie Gras and the East Coast Lobster.
Two of the staff, Marcus and another young smaller guy were excellent, providing really good service.“

“A lovely modern bistro tucked away in Kensington Market and a great spot for a date night. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the service was attentive throughout the meal.

We enjoyed the food. The mackerel crudo was clean, refreshing and nicely prepared. The chicken liver ravioli did not disappoint, especially when paired with the bread we ordered. We also shared the steak and had a strawberry dessert at the end.

Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience, and since they change the menu regularly, we would definitely come back to try more dishes in the future.“

Both were excellent. We loved sitting at the window table and watching everyone on College St. walk by with their dogs. Also $10 for a glass of Prosecco!?! Bargain! I’ve brought non-veg people here who also raved about their meals. The service is always friendly and the ambience is very nice. They can accommodate large groups as well. I especially recommend: - Tofu and veg fresh rolls - Authentic Vegan fried rice - Vegan Pho - Drunken noodles - Soya Noodles But honestly, just order whatever catches your eye on the menu, it’s all good! “My favorite dinner we had in Toronto goes to Antler. Nothing but exceptional food and service. We did the Chef's table, which literally and 2 seats on the kitchen window. Great experience! The Duck A L'Orange was one of the best cocktails we've ever had! Food was all served personally by the Sous Chef and it was great talking with him about the dishes. Menu consisted of Smoked Swordfish Carpaccio, Mushroom Bolognese (amazing), BC Halibut, perfect Duck Breast with their BBQ sauce and smoked potato salad, Cedar infused ice intermezzo (great story there), Venison rack and sticky toffee pudding. Everything was amazing. Take note the Chef's table can change day to day though some of their staple dishes are there for sure. Cheers to Antler!“

“A nice vegan Asian restaurant with a really extensive menu and lots of choice. The portions are huge — definitely enough to take half of your meal home, which seems to be pretty common here. They also serve a big cup of green tea for free, which is a lovely touch. We had Pad Thai and another dish, and both were tasty and satisfying. Nothing that completely blew us away in terms of flavour, but solid, comforting food — especially when you’re hungry! The staff were very friendly and attentive, and the place had a nice, lively atmosphere. It’s a little bit canteen-style, but somehow that works well here. “Most of the food on the menu were really yummy. The dessert is the one of the best I had in the city - 100% must even if you are full. The miso was really really good! The food plate is pretty small and it can get pretty expensive. They have pretty decent sake collection as well!
