“The service is most like the best among all the hotpot restaurants in Scarborough. The server was so patience in answering our questions, the food arrived promptly and the ingredients were so fresh. I highly recommend people to give it a try!“
“Good hot pot with a very good menu selection. The Liu’s House Special soup base and pork bone broth are great choices, and I recommend the marbled beef. Service is always pretty good and fairly quick. Overall, this place is very good for its price. Definitely recommend this spot!“
“Great dinner at Mandarin Yonge to celebrate Mid Autumn Festival. This visit we tried a few new items fro the Small Eats. The teriyaki salmon, teriyaki meatballs and tofu were delicious. Salmon was cooked to perfection. As always Paddy and our server Amy made our evening extra special. Looking forward to our next visit.“
“A phenomenal meal that l will go down as one of the best I have ever had. We were there to celebrate a special occasion and couldn't have asked for anything better. We were there for almost 2 hours, but service was wonderful and attentive throughout and the dishes in the tasting menu were all so unique and special. We arrived shortly after they opened on a weekday evening and the restaurant was pretty quiet. Because of that, Chef Liu came out and served us a bonus dish that ended up being our favourite of the night. Definitely made our experience a memorable one.“
“The food was amazing. Price is good the taste. Service is ok. I told the waiter to add an extra bao for to go instead the order came all 3 together. Server said he is going to make sure another one will be ready for to go but then they didn't give & I didn't ask for it. But the food was so good. Specially wagoo beef was so good.“
“It was one of my best find in Markham till now. Banbudian Bistro specializes in authentic Sicuan cuisines. We have ordered stir-fried chicken with Sichuan chili. It is definitely a must try. Also, the fried rice with crab egg was amazing. It is a beautiful restaurant well taken care of and definitely should be on your checklist.“
“We definitely enjoyed our meal at August 8. The food was aesthetically pleasing, tasty, and properly prepared.I rated the service only 4 out of 5 stars because our table was often overlooked, and we didn't receive all of our first order until we had asked three different servers (20 minutes after the first part of our order was delivered to the table) if it had been forgotten. They also only give you 90 minutes to eat lunch, 90 minutes goes very quickly, especially because they control the time in which they bring out your meals. Therefore you're not getting quite the value of your money, and feel as though you have to dine quickly. The restaurant is very clean, as are the washrooms (in my experience, this is usually Telltale sign whether or not the kitchen would be clean!)There are tons of food options, and from what I saw on our plates, as well as other tables the food comes out fresh.I would definitely recommend this restaurant.Ps, don't let your eyes be too big for your belly. If you don't finish the food on your plate, they will charge you extra for it. Drinks are also an additional cost to the "all you can eat" mealWheelchair accessibility: I don't imagine this restaurant would be wheelchair accessible as the only bathrooms that I saw were in the basement. Otherwise, a wheelchair could come in to the restaurant, but the area is tight with tables.“
“great service, Jason is super friendly and attentive. he explains the menu and give us some recommendations. “way much better ◡̈ ”the food is good, i pick the chicken broth base soup and beef skewers. Highly recommend to order the dessert Fu’s Jelly with Brown sugar Sauce.i will come back next time.“
“Tried the grilled tofu(not my favourite. But I usually don’t like unless it’s really fried or crispy) the sweet and sour pork was really good and a huge portion with lots of leftovers. The grilled lamb had a really nice flavour. Also got grilled garlic, I thought it would have been better if it was cooked more and softer but that’s my opinion. They didn’t have hot sauce(I’m sorry I know but I like spice) the drinks are really tasty and I recommend the different fruity ones.“
“Best vegan Chinese food I have ever had! We had kung pao “chicken”, green beans with soy chops, and eggplant and tofuVegetarian options: Everything in here is vegan, so plenty options for vegetarians as well!Dietary restrictions: dairy free meals“
“Came here for lunch for the long weekend, I ordered some of my faves:- pickled cowpeas $14.95- chicken gizzard with green pepper $14.95- country style stir fried pork with green pepper $16.95- Arizona $2.25- 2 bowls rice $4.50They’re doing a promo for FREE BUBBLE TEA!!! (For min. spend)“
“I've been waiting for a good Chinese restaurant to open up in the midtown area. Thank goodness for Jing Chinese restaurant, otherwise I'd have to drive to GTA or downtown for Chinese food. It is authentic and delicious. I chose the pick up option because I needed my birthday catered. I will be back for dine-in because the interior looks great.“
“There is a reason for the high score. The food quality is very good and the staff is very friendly and polite. The service is good! This is my second time here, and I will come again next time! The high score is for a reason, the food quality is very good and the staff is very friendly and the service is great! This has been my second time and I will come again next time!“
“Such wonderful people who are very kind polite and generous. His mother who cooked the food was just an absolute sweet heart and the gentleman who served the food is just am absolute gem of a human being .The food is outstanding. I am so glad I came here and I highly highly recommend . The best Chinese food I've ever hadThe man working there actually recommended I spend less money as opposed to trying to get me to spend more which is something I've never come across and I am more than gratefulIt looks family run and I cannot speak highly enough of this place“
“We've ordered twice through UberEats and both times the food has been absolutely delicious. This time, we got the black pepper beef, roasted duck, and the cumin lamb (again). The meat is so tender, juicy, and flavourful. We made steamed rice at home and paired it with these dishes and it was perfect. Portions here are plentiful, which sets it apart from other restaurants that are cutting back. This has become one of our favourite restaurants in Toronto. Hoping to eat there in person one day!“
“Supreme Taste has rocketed towards the top spot of my list in the city for barbecue meat. This restaurant is deservedly bustling both in lunch time and dinner time. The barbecue meat (BBQ pork, soya chicken, and roast pork) are all consistently done well and juicy. I've been here at least 15 times and haven't experienced a dry cut. I particularly have to shout out their sauce as it's got that a balanced sweetness that I really love (rather than too heavily soy). The owners and staff are all very hospitable and overall, it just feels like an approachable and lively neighborhood fixture.“
“We started to have lunch here since 2 yrs ago, the food quality and taste never disappoint us. I'd recommend the bbq and crispy chicken combo if its your first time here, personnally i'll say crispy chicken is the best but my friends like bbq.“
“Every staff member was very friendly and efficient. I got a warm welcome the second I stepped in. I ordered a chicken noodle soup which was very nice. The portion size shocked me a little. I ordered a regular but what I got was huge. I thought it was a mistake for a second. I enjoyed the broth. The price was also very reasonable. I will be returning to try other dishes!“
“Been here before for their great rice bowls, so I came back this time to try their new beef noodle soup. Super tasty and authentic! Noodles were also soft and chewy. They also have you choose either a complementary miso soup or sweet green tea with lychee coconut jelly. Definitely coming back for both!“
“Not only is the food delicious but the people who work there are kind and courteous. I really enjoy ordering from Peking Express. Thank you for being around for so many years.Vegetarian options: Yes, they can also make to order.Dietary restrictions: They can customize your meal for you.Kid-friendliness: If they are kind to adults they will be kind to Children for sure.“
“First them going to vintage hotpotlLoved the bright atmosphere, music was a mix of new jeans, BTS, pop, hip hop, portions were large and service was speedy and stellar.I ordered the tomyum and spicy oil soup base- tomyum had an awesome kick. Manager Kevin was super attentive and each waitstaff was friendly and promptly available. We ordered the friend mochi for dessert - that was pretty bomb. The plum juice is extra sweet here, and they also serve beer / alcohol here!Upon leaving, there’s a cool mist machine that mists your coat to freshen it from any hotpot smell. This was neat and fun.I would come back - looking forward to the new features they will soon be offering!“
“Slapper after slapper. Everything was perfectly seasoned. Space is cool, staff is attentive and genuine. Location is cool and even edgy if your like a tourist or above 35 or something with kids like me. Braden and David and the rest of the team are Goats plain and simple. Eat here and live your life“
“Celebrated my wife’s birthday with a meal at Patois. We ordered the prefixed tasting menu and boy did it deliver! Great variety in the dishes cooled and you could really see the efforts made to fuze Asian and Caribbean cooking. We especially enjoyed the bo lo bao burger and fried chicken. Washed everything down with a cold bottle of Red Stripe. I almost felt like it was my birthday with how much I enjoyed. Will definitely return to try other items on the menu!“
“Nice new clean place with enough staff to cover the floor. Food was very average but they've got all the classics and price was ok. Upon walking in I asked about a cash discount and was told 5% off for non members. When we got the check though we did not receive the discount.Cheung fun, Har how, Siu mai, phoenix claws were fine. Beef ho fun was flavored well but didn't have "wok hey". They have fried durian puffs and egg yolk sesame jin deui which was great. Will come back again to try the other dishes. First impression is that they are on par with dragon city dimsum. Very average. Family friendly. Bright and clean. Nice staff.“
“I came here to visit and it did not disappoint. Many people have already mentioned the taste, but I would like to especially mention the enthusiasm of the waiters and the caring of the enthusiastic boss. I brought my children to visit this weekend. Because of Easter, I gave every child who came into the store a large bag of beautifully packaged candies. As a result, the adults enjoyed eating them, and so did the children as desserts after the meal. Happy “
“A really great store! ! ! The store clerks are super friendly! Friends who are trying to lose weight but are hungry like me! Fu Niu is really a great choice! The beef is cooked according to the small label and it is very tender! But my heart falls in love with the slippery cow! Beef tendon is the best when cooked soft and glutinous! After all the meat is cooked, finally cook the noodles, put the meat slices, meatballs, celery, noodles in a bowl and top with the cooked beef broth, and you have a bowl of beef soup noodles! The first bowl of soup before shabu-shabu is a light, original soup, and the last bowl of soup powder is the finishing touch Love it! ! ❤️“
“Very good restaurant, friendly operator, heart warming environment, great food. Helped when we were ordering, great recommendation, avoided waste. Love it, will be back again!Kid-friendliness: Offered a free drink for my nine year old, she loved it!“
“Best and authentic Chinese food with reasonable price. We ordered Steamed Chicken w. Chili Sauce, Sichuan cold beam noodles, Stir Fried Beef, Fried Bullfrog legs, and BASA Fillet in Chili Spice Stew. All were tasty. Service was great. Would definitely go again.“
“Ordered this via Doordash and it came piping hot and in massive serving sizes (took me 3 days to eat everything). It was DELICIOUS. So good that I ordered it again a week later to try some of their other menu items. The Chow Mein (manchurian style) was incredible and the chili chicken (perfect spice level) and sesame crispy beef (sweet and savory) were amazing. The momos were plump and perfectly cooked. The sweet & sour soup was one of the heartiest I've ever had, they did not skimp with the veggies and tofu. This is going to be a new staple for me and I cannot wait to order from them again. A must-try for sure.“
“I've been to this place so many times and they always greet you and help you any way possible even if they're busy and their food is amazingly good. It might not be for everyone but it's definitely one of my favourite congee places.“
“my visit to this Chinese hot pot restaurant was an unforgettable culinary adventure. From the captivating ambiance and mouthwatering flavors to the impeccable service and communal dining experience, every element came together flawlessly. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a remarkable and authentic taste of Chinese hot pot.“
“Delicious food. They must have talented cooks. Clean and spacious insideKid-friendliness: Very spacious aisles, no problem for strollers. Casual atmosphere, it's okay to be louder. Bench seating. There are no servers, it's self-serve like a food court.“
“perfect place to dine solo after a long day. excellent and informative service for vegetarians/vegans :) they removed eggs and bone broth from my dish and it was just as delicious. the clean and simple interior with the music adds to the pleasant atmosphere!Vegetarian options: they have buttons to request for help omitting animal products to make the dish vegetarian/vegan“
“This is the best vegan restaurant in Toronto! The menu is extensive and creative, the ingredients are fresh, and the portions are generous. The food is consistently delicious and nourishing, and the service is very friendly.Vegetarian options: All dishes at vegan (and therefore vegetarian) at this restaurant.“
“FoodWe dove into a classic selection of Chinese dumplings, sampling both the pan-fried and steamed varieties. They hit the spot—delicious and perfectly prepared, although reminiscent of many other spots I've visited. The variety in sauces added a nice touch, enhancing the overall dumpling experience.ServiceThe service was impeccable. The staff struck the perfect balance of friendliness, professionalism, and attentiveness. It's exactly what you'd hope for when dining out.AmbianceThe space is inviting—clean, bright, and exudes a cozy vibe. The décor is charming, paying a subtle tribute to Asian heritage, adding to the restaurant's character and warmth.AccessibilityWhile the restaurant is somewhat compact and narrow, making navigation a bit tight, its proximity to public transit is a big plus, offering easy access for a hassle-free dining adventure.“
“Want great food, at a great place, served to you by genuinely kind people? This is the place.Don’t get confused - this isn’t your typical Queen Street fancy or glamorous “5 star restaurant, with a 5 star atmosphere.” It is in fact a no-nonsense local eatery, ran by a couple will openly admit that they haven’t renovated since they opened the place in 1999. They’re very humble, and they make excellent food for the price. I dunno what the guy who reviewed before me is on about, but the man and his wife who own this place work crazy hard to try and make a living, and are both great chefs for the prices they charge. I can’t think of many places in the city that offer a $9 combo dinner, a $5 wonton soup or a $10 big breakfast anymore, but those dishes and everything else on the menu is seriously GOOD for what you’re paying. My girlfriend and I come here often, and we’re always treated well. I’d understand leaving a bad review if you were paying $30 for eggs and bacon, but at these prices and with such kind people who clearly run this as a family business, if they’re even above average and good quality (as they are) then there’s no reason why anyone should be riled up about it. I always recommend this place to my friends, and I always will. Definitely worth the price of admission, and a hidden gem in the crazy expensive area that is Queen and Ossington. Don’t ignore it just cause it isn’t glammed up like its neighbours. This is the real thing, and the very definition of quality over quantity.“
“We had pork, duck and chicken on rice and they all tasted amazing. The soup of the day was chicken broth and it matched so well with the heavy meat. These dishes were so good that I was imagining that the woman who runs this restaurant must have cooked this for her family many times and may be doing this for her kids' future. This may be the best home-cooked-feel meal I've ever had.Do your math when they offer 10% off if paid by cash, it wasn't exactly 10% off. They did it really quick + no receipt so be prepared.Maybe a bit difficult to eat here if you don't speak Mandarin, though the service is bare minimum. I went with a Chinese friend so I can't comment precisely. The lady didn't seem to communicate very well in English when I attempted.“
“Absolutely amazing chinese dumpling shop. Excellent wonton soup and the atmosphere, I mean wow. Although the bathroom is very nice, it is downstairs and therefore not wheelchair accessible.Wheelchair accessibility: Bathroom is NOT wheelchair accessible“
“We visited for lunch after going to the AGO as it’s almost right across the street. This place really hits the spot. I love how hot the soup is! I do wish that they had a ginseng chicken soup option though! Would recommend on a cold day. Yum.“
“We had group of 17. Ms. Meng who was attending to our table couldn’t have done better job at servicing us. She was efficient at taking all our individual orders with some special dietary restriction requests. Food came quickly, portion was big and everything tastes great. All of us were really satisfied. Bills were also split and ready for us. Excellent service & attention to details!“
“Very popular lunch spot in this area so I decided to give it a try. Reviews are all about the spicy beef noodle dishes so of course I went with something else. :).I tried the pork on rice dish, which comes with a side of veggies and a healthy dash of BBQ sauce. I found the pork a tiny bit dry but the BBQ sauce came through here.Overall still an excellent lunch option that fills you up. I will definitely be returning to try the other dishes.“
“The hot pot tastes OK, but the service of bringing out the dishes is a bit slow. After selecting the ingredients for the first round, it took quite a while for them to arrive, and they were missing a few items. However, the waitstaff were pretty enthusiastic; after talked to her, the issue was solved.“
“This spot is solo date friendly! I went here on my lunch break by myself and I had such a comfortable and wonderful time! The service was impeccable. They were tentative but not too overbearing. Always made sure my water cup was full.As for the food, it was delicious. I'm such a soup girl so this fulfilled every craving I ever had (as a Vietnamese girl). I ordered the Classic Lanzhou Beef Noodles soup with Flat noodles and a side of Chicken skewers. If you want the hand pulled fat big noodles, always order flat! Trust me, it was SO GOOD! As for the chicken skewer, it was seasoned perfectly. At the time that I went, it costs me approx. $22 CAD (not sure if that's before or after tip).I'm definitely coming back and potentially going to try the drier noodles since I've tried their soup already!“
“the noodles were hand made in the restaurant! you can see the chef kneading and tossing it. the portion was massive for a great price and great tasting noodles and soup! the atmosphere was very authentic:) would definitely recommend coming here for a bowl!“
“Personally I like the northern cuisine and dim sum and this eatery has fulfilled 95% of my expectations! The place is bright and clean, good services and the food and portions are quite good! Would come back often as it seems to be the best northern food restaurant in this area!“
“So happy we found this gem! Have ordered twice for delivery and both my husband and I have been very pleased with the quality. The dim sum items are quite small in comparison to what you might get in other restaurants, but the taste makes up for it.“
“This place is honestly such a gem. The staff are super friendly and the food was really good. I ordered their XLB and braised beef noodle soup. Both were really delicious and a good portion too for the price. A definite place to try in the Junction area.“
“Owner must make a lot of efforts to attract customers. Ambience of the shop is lovely and cute with beautiful pastel colours and decors….love it. Mainly serving Chinese desserts and drinks beside some dim sum, a few Vietnamese & Chinese dishes with combo. Love everything here except very small portion and price. Shouldn’t get mango during winter in Canada because mostly sour.“
“I went to eat with my friends after get off work today. In fact, we arrived quite late, but the waiter was still very patient in serving us. Thank you very much☺️ We all ordered the Bolognese Casserole Rice Noodles. It was very good and delicious. We will come again next time.“
“This place was one of the best restaurants I’ve ever had. This restaurant had four floors, they gave toys, and they even gave hair ties for the hotpot. The food was also delicious and this Haidilao had great atmosphere everywhere. It was a great experience for me.Kid-friendliness: They gave toys for kids and even a smaller plate and cup for kids.“
