“Dinner and service were both exceptional. We enjoyed the Silver Needle Noodles, Mapo Tofu, Short Rib, Steak, Cabbage the most out of all the dishes we ordered. Can skip the Orange Chicken in our opinions. Drinks were all delicious as well (range of cocktails, NA drinks and wine). Ordered the French Toast and Soft Serve for dessert. French toast has a heavy black sesame flavor. Soft serve flavor that day was sweet corn and I loved it. We had a large group (6) and made a reservation beforehand so highly recommend that. Thanks for a great dinner!“

“Finally lively AYCE hotpot with wagyu.
Liuyishou is a popular outfit for traditional hotpot, and here in the GTA they have long moved to AYCE format. This Scarborough location has been around for a long time as seen by the dated interior. Nonetheless it’s still popular with some good promos to compete among the huge swath of Asian restaurants in this plaza. We chose an array of hotpot broths including the house special spicy, sukiyaki, pork bone broth & tomato soup.
We came here to celebrate a family occasion, and Liuyishou delivered with its good selection of broths, meats, seafood, and veggies. The $8 Wagyu add-on on weekend was a nice upgrade—thinly sliced, tender, and worth trying if you want something a bit more indulgent. The $3.99 all-you-can-drink station was a pleasant surprise too, making it easy to keep refilling without thinking twice. Service was quick even despite it being relatively busy and a bit loud during dinner peak.
Note the pricing per adult ($34.99 weekend dinner) excludes the soup base which is about $17 for a large shareable pot or $9 for an individual sized pot per guest so the bill can rack up. The wagyu and drinks are add-ons too. They do have a 2 adult + 1 kid family combo for $73.99 on weekends with one drink pitcher excluding soup base. Dessert is included such as taro soft serve, rice ball soup & cold jelly.
Skip it or hit it? Hit it for a casual, authentic hotpot experience.“

“I can't help feeling that there could be some extra vegan/vegetarian options for stewing. Having said that, there is a few tofus, lifts of veggies and roots and noodles.
We had the mushroom broth and the tomatoes broth.
I suggest one or three other as the spicy tomato will overShadow the mushroom.
It was absolutely delicious, fresh, and friendly. We absolutely will be going back. My only complaint is i wish there were a couple more extra veggie options. And i would say a 4.7 as is not a 4. I just don't have that option lol“

“I’ve ordered from this place a a lot. I often get the pickled cabbage and it’s been delicious but tonight it tasted a bit.. off? My biggest issue was the celery salad. It’s just frozen mix veg (corn, peas, carrots, green beans) mixed with a tiny bit of chopped celery. Very unimpressive, like if it was free I wouldn’t have ordered it.
My boyfriend enjoyed his noodles though, so well done there
I hope you read the reviews to improve on these deficiencies, because I actually very much enjoy this restaurant, and say this with love“

“That creamy noodle soup in the stone bowl was exactly what I needed after the Raptors win tonight. I am honestly the best thing you will order all week, so feel free to reach out if you want to be treated to someone as impressive as this meal.“
“One of the best beef hot pots I’ve had in Toronto! The soup was rich, aromatic, and packed with flavor without being overly greasy. The meat was tender, the tripe was cooked perfectly, and the portions were satisfying. Don’t skip the fried bread—it pairs so well with the broth. Great comfort food with friendly service. Will definitely be back!“

“We started to have lunch here since 2 yrs ago, the food quality and taste never disappoint us. I'd recommend the bbq and crispy chicken combo if its your first time here, personnally i'll say crispy chicken is the best but my friends like bbq.“

“Came here for dinner and we ordered the Dan Dan bowl, handmade noodle soup, and pumpkin pancakes.
The Dan Dan bowl had a generous portion and the pork was fragrant, no meaty smell. The noodles were bouncy and yummy!
Love the spicy handmade noodles. I paired mine with beef and I enjoyed the long, chewy noodles. Plating was incredibly attractive, the broth was tasty/didn’t feel heavy, and the beef was bite sized and tender.
For their dishes, you can ask for less spicy with chili oil on the side. The portions are big and one bowl can feed two people.
The pumpkin pancakes were soft, chewy, and had a thin layer of red bean inside. I think it was fried, but not oily. It also came in a plate of about 12-15 pieces.
I definitely recommend the handmade noodles!! :-) The customer service was lovely too, sadly did not get the name of our hostess. She was very friendly!“

“Definitely affordable!! Food taste is not the greatest, however, it definitely worth the price. Pan fried buns was great. I wish it was fried a bit more though, it’ll be so much better. Chicken wings are definitely amazing! Dumpling soup taste like home cooked meal but definitely still worth every penny.“

“Absolutely one of the best Sichuan restaurants I’ve been to in Toronto. The food had the authentic numbing and spicy flavors that Sichuan cuisine is known for, without feeling overwhelming or one-dimensional. Every dish was packed with flavor and tasted freshly made.“

“Finally came here in person with my families. Food is excellent and my daughter, a super picky eater, for her very first time, was asking for beef cuz she usually refused any meat in Canada for the smelly taste. She ate so much beef from the signature noodle and loved it. And then we ordered the 甜汤, omg they taste definitely different dine-in. Recommend and please keep the quality of the food and do not let it go downhill and we have listed it as our DT-must-go. Sorry about the picture, as food was too good and we forgot to take one.“

“Ordered for take out after a long day of moving furniture and this is exactly what we needed. The meal was filling and portions plentiful, meaning lots of leftovers!! The beef ho fun was my standout dish. Although a bit more expensive than the usual Chinese we get, it was worthwhile.“

“I am a certified tofu eater. I could eat tofu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner if given ample free will. No, I’m not vegan, and this place by far had one of the best tofu dishes I ever had. Yes, I know it’s a bao house and I did order a beef xiao long bao that was just as delicious, but my star was on the tofu appetizer. The inside was so fluffy and the outside has a delicate crisp to it that held its own with the sauce. The sauce was also nice and tangy that felt refreshing with the warmer weather. I’d happily eat more again“

“Ordering from the menu was a bit awkward, but our server was wonderful and he brought out exactly what our hearts desired. The large steamed rice was surprisingly large. The beef with broccoli was the best I've ever had. We also ordered jumbo battered shrimp, wonton soup and a Cantonese lo Mein.“

“Got 3 BBQ meat with rice for delivery. Impressed with the taste, quality, and price. It had the just the right traditional taste. Not too salty or msg like lotsa places these days. We got steamed chicken, roast duck, and roast pork. It was delivery but some of the roast pork skin was still crispy. The duck wasn't soaked in goey sauce like some places. The chicken came with yummy ginger onion sauce on top. The rice wasn't the best but was good and not mushy... and it came with a few pieces of broccoli. Only downside was we got many fatty pieces of roast pork so couldn't eat those. Will definitely try dine-in soon.“

“Went for dinner last night before going to a show. The menu was a bit out of our normal experiences but we wanted a different experience. Or booth was comfortable. Jason answered all of our questions, no matter how silly they probably were for him. He was engaging but not over the top - very likeable. We tried four of the spicy dishes and they were all exceptional! We did not try the skewers, which we now regret, but we will go back to do that for sure. What a great dinner experience! Thank you, Jason, and your team. We even enjoyed seeing your take-out container in action 😉.“

“The best handmade noodles in Toronto! It's simply my favorite place for home-style cooking! They have a wide variety of flavorful dishes, the place is clean, and they always welcome you with tea! The noodles are completely fresh and made to order, which makes them taste the same every time.
If you have the chance, don't miss the opportunity to eat at this great place.“

“Food was good- very well packed for takeout. BEWARE- there are 3 noodle me locations- each with the items numbered differently on their menu !! (Why??) the Toronto location is inexplicably called just “downtown “- well, the Hamilton location is also “downtown “. Leads to unnecessary confusion and incorrect orders. Make sure you are ordering the menu called “Hamilon “ or you will not get the correct order! ( ask me how I know…..)“

“This is among the restaurants that we've been coming back to the most in Toronto. Very friendly staff, excellent service. Great value for money considering both the quality and portion of food. There is a wide variety of menu items to choose from — my go-to order is the Hai Nan Chicken Rice, but friends have tried and also loved others like Pork Chop and Fried Noodles.“

You could really tell that this place is run with a lot of love, and the owners were incredibly kind and welcoming. The dishes were also very reasonably priced, which was a huge plus. This is a restaurant I will frequently visit in the future!“

“This is my 3rd time dining in this beef hotpot restaurant. I also take my friends and colleagues here, and they all like the food. The beef is extremely fresh and the price is quite reasonable. I recommend the rib eye/sirloin and chunk slices. Their beef fried rice is always mouth-watering. 2-3 people is the ideal group size for this restaurant. I highly recommend it.“

I've tried this place a few times and it always hits as a guilty pleasure. Huge portion of food, lots of meats and soup filled to the brim for under $30 (shareable for 2 people).“

“Kindest staff and best food ever. I remeber when I first came here with my friends and the staff were super nice and attentive the entire time, moreover, the hair tie they gave me was super strong and long lasting but I lost it. I came in today just to ask if I could have the hair tie again since it was so good and the staff gave me an entire pack of them :). Always 10/10 service food and everything overall.“
