“Service was excellent and all the staff were very friendly and attentive! The food selections were varied and everything tasted great. There’s even tips on how long certain things should cook for on the paper on the table the sauce bar was extensive as well as the few ready-made foods and desserts. I only have dessert pics to share though as that was the highlight which ended off my experience haha ??“
“Goubili Baozi has become my go-to spot for mouthwatering baozi. The flavors are authentic, and the texture is just right - soft and fluffy on the outside, with a savory filling that bursts with flavor in every bite. The variety of options ensures there's something for everyone, whether you prefer traditional pork or adventurous seafood fillings. The staff is always friendly and the service is prompt. Highly recommend trying Goubili Baozi for a taste of authentic Chinese cuisine!“
“Hand rolled noodle customizable to your size liking here at Gol’s. The noodle soup is great for lunch and is very simple and hearty. I found the menu too small. Was looking to try the bbq options which were only available at night. The service was great and they accommodated all my requestsVegetarian options: Not suitable for vegetarians“
“Update:The beef brisket + wonton is awesome flavours and beef is moist not tough.Came to try this place out after many reviews and got the traditional shrimp wonton noodle. The wontons are very delicious as well as broth, the noodles on the other hand didn't have much taste. I think next time I will try the beef brisket and shrimp wonton.“
“Have been coming here for over 15 years to order takeout for dinner. A neighborhood restaurant that serves authentic cantonese style food. Food is always consistently well cooked. Each dish is good portion size. Our favourite is the set meal for 4c which includes:Crispy half chickenSliced Fish with vegetablesPork chop with OX sauceStir fried beef and mushrooms.House soupWhite riceYam sago dessertWe usually substitute the pork chop dish with sweet and sour pork. This time we chose to switch the beef for the sweet and sour pork. Paid an additional few dollars for the substitution. Get a discount when you pay cash for takeout. Highly recommend.“
“Un très belle expérience ! Le hot pot était très bon, les ingrédient également. Nous avions choisi un bouillon blanc et un autre épicé. L'épicé était un peu trop pour moi mais très très bon ! On a eu la chance d'avoir une musique live. A moins que ce ne soit toujours le cas ? En tout cas, une très belle soirée !“
“The milk tea is average, the frozen mandarin duck is better, the noodles are ok, and the Thai-style Hainanese chicken rice - the chicken tastes good and a little slippery, but the chicken rice is loose. The special price of noodles or rice snacks and hot and cold drinks is $15 + tax, which is reasonable. The food is served quickly, close to Hong Kong style speed.“
“Charming restaurant, set up for takeout only at time of visiting. Excellent Hakka food available for lunch specials. Is becoming a regular in our office lunchtime rotation. Manchurian or chili chicken or fish with soup and spring rolls are our favorites.“
“Their barbecue pork is honestly my favorite out of all the places I have had barbecur pork at. I haven't been here in a few years but dropped by recently. Pleasantly surprised to find that their quality has not changed at all!I am not a fan of rice so I just order barbecue pork, and a side of their ginger green onion sauce to go. Typically, if I'm feeling like making a meal, I'll utilize those two items to make a delicious stir fried noodle dish but been feeling lazy recently so I've been using it for open faced sandwiches on sourdough ✨Oh! They do also have two sizes when it comes to their ginger green onion sauce, and the ladies do usually confirm with you which size you want before they charge you. They weigh the meat they chop up for you but I'll attach a photo of their pricing as or January 2024 for ease of referencing.“
“Stepping into the Szechuan style hot pot place felt like a culinary journey to the heart of authentic flavors and exquisite dining. The hot pot experience was nothing short of exceptional, with a rich and flavorful broth that served as the perfect base for cooking an array of fresh ingredients. Each bite was a tantalizing blend of spices and seasonings that transported my taste buds to new heights of culinary delight. What truly set this establishment apart was the unbeatable service provided by the staff. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality that made me feel like a valued guest. The staff members were incredibly considerate and attentive, always ready to assist with any requests and ensure that my dining experience was nothing short of perfect.Their attention to detail and dedication to customer satisfaction truly shone through in every interaction. Whether it was recommending the perfect dipping sauce or ensuring that my hot pot was cooked to perfection, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and cared for.Overall, the Szechuan style hot pot place is a gem that combines authentic flavors, delicious cuisine, and unbeatable service. If you're looking for a dining experience that excites the senses and leaves you feeling pampered, look no further than this establishment. A culinary delight that I can't wait to revisit."“
“Delicious food, beautiful interior and great for large groups. Came for a celebration and got their private room seating two large tables (about 20+ of us). Stepping into the restaurant I noticed that the space was beautiful and large and great for large parties. I will note that the server did try to upsell us on a combo that was more expensive and came with less food (but of course had more quality items). We kindly declined and went for the cheaper option that was so delicious and didn't come out short at all. You can bring your own wine but will have to pay a corkage fee, which is still cheaper than buying wine at the restaurants. We got a combo which came with delicious food items like: Lobster in HK style 5/5 - This came with some tortilla chips which was odd, but the flavour of the lobster was great! Lots of fried mini crispy fish that came with it as well. Hand shredded chicken 5/5 - Delicious and shredded by hand making it easier to eat since the portions are already small enough to share. Snow pea leaf in broth 5/5 - A simple yet delicious dish of vegetable. The fried whole garlic is a great addition to your bite as it's packed with umami Sweet and sour pork 5/5 - Love love love! So good and opens up the palette since it's both sweet and sour. Goes great with rice Stir fried beef cubes 5/5 - Nice and saucey, cooked to perfection. Would get this again! Overall, it's your typical Chinese restaurant serving food in family style. Definitely super tasty and good for sharing. Would highly recommend and come back again in the future!“
“During my first visit to this Hong Kong-style restaurant nestled in the heart of Richmond Hill, I had the pleasure of trying the Charcoal Broiled Tender Pork & Scrambled Eggs with Truffle Sauce on Rice, alongside the Indonesian Fried Rice. Both dishes were served hot and tasted good. The combo also included a daily soup, which was a comforting addition to the meal, embodying the warmth and homeliness of Hong Kong cuisine.Service was another area where the restaurant shone brightly. The server was not only friendly but also exceptionally helpful and considerate, enhancing the dining experience with attentive and personalized care.Given the quality of food and service, I am eagerly looking forward to my next visit.“
“When diners at the next table start offering recommendations, you're off to a good start. I was looking for a lunch replacement and noticed some good Yelp ratings. I had to give it a shot. Much of the menu is Hong Kong style with a bit of Portuguese and Taiwanese. I didn't want to max out, so I just ordered Mapo Tofu with rice and a drink off the lunch specials. The dish was excellent, with a bit of heat and great flavor. Service was attentive, but the place is small. They seem to fill up and probably wish they had leased a bigger unit. Plan on a bit of a wait during busy times. I'll be back for sure!“
“Flavorful House is an absolute culinary gem! From the moment you step in, you're greeted with warmth and an inviting ambiance. Every dish we ordered was a delightful explosion of flavors, leaving our taste buds dancing with joy. And let's talk about the star of the show - the taro duck! It was a divine experience to taste it again, and naturally, I couldn't resist taking one whole taro duck home to savor later. The gathering with coworkers and friends was enhanced by the delicious food and fantastic service. Flavorful House truly exceeded our expectations and left us eagerly anticipating our next visit.“
“Food is not bad with some vegetarian choices, interesting decor. Their marinated tofu is really tasty. Lots of items were either sold out or discontinued on the menu for some reason, but still plenty of options. Will come back again to try some other dishes.“
“The restaurant is known for its spacious private rooms and excellent service, creating a favorable dining experience for guests. Our 10 people went there for lunch, we got a private room. The food is exquisite, with creative plating that makes each dish feel like a work of art. The flavors are also wonderfully fresh and delicious. The service is very attentive and considerate, with staff frequently changing plates and refilling tea. It’s a delightful experience.“
“I used to help Cheng Rili, but because I moved to the left, I haven't been able to go there for three years. I didn't expect that my sister would recognize my favorite dish, sand ginger chicken. , the price is very good and the portion is very large. Unable to “
“Been going to Goldsor restaurant for over ten years, the food is good, the portion is reasonable and the price is reasonable too! However, I ordered takeout three times past month, and the milk tea was only half the size of the cup (your cup already the smallest one). The first time, I thought it was milk tea just gone, but I didn't expect it to be the same for the next two times. A little disappointed, but I still recommend this shop, however, hope not to lose old customers because just save a little on that.“
“I stopped by at around 12:30 PM on a Sunday, right before the place started filling up. Overall, I had a pretty decent experience.First off, the menu is quite extensive. I opted for the Baked Portuguese Chicken Rice combo, which came with soup and HK milk tea. I quite liked my meal — I thought the soup and milk tea were tasty, and the dish was packed with flavour. The portion could have been a bit bigger, but I think it’s filling enough for one person. Everything came hot, we didn’t wait long for our food, and it was an incredibly comforting meal for a cold winter’s day.Service was good for the most part too, although I felt rushed at times. We had two separate people come up and ask if we were ready to order — despite us having just sat down — and our plates were cleared fairly quickly. Turnover between that and getting our bill was extremely fast, so I didn’t really feel I had a chance to sit and enjoy my tea. Other than that, I had no issues with service — our server was very kind and recommended dishes that could be tweaked for a member of my party, who had dietary restrictions. I found that everyone was generally very friendly. I plan to come back and try some of their other combos!“
“Food is good, they offer great variety of hotpot dishes selection, appetisers and desserts. Especially the fried food, fried milk pudding is really good and also unlimited drinks. The service is good and the servers get the orders to us promptly!“
“Great food with great service. Portion of the dishes is reasonable. 5 dishes set dinner with rice, soup and dessert is only approx. $80 + taxes & tips. The only thing which we would take the points away is the space. The space between tables are quite tight. So not too comfortable.“
“Bayview Wok is a nice find that we stumbled upon while looking for a quick HK bite nearby. They have a terrific $9.50 lunch deal that we took advantage of even on weekend. The staff here was so courteous and welcoming, and recommended the dishes for us, the beef ho-fun and braised eggplant w/ meat & rice. The dishes had a nice wok fire flavour and came in huge portions along with soup. The flavours were slightly bland but touched up with soy sauce. The value was unbeatable in this inflationary time.We were even able to dine in at one of their 3 tables, and received cutlery. We noticed a steady flow of guests pop in mostly for takeout orders. Seems locals know this for affordable takeout.“
“I ate here many years ago before it was called this place. I ordered Jidi porridge, imperial concubine chicken, rice rolls, curry beef, etc. Jidi porridge contains pork, tender pork liver and crispy pork kidney. It is large in quantity, delicious and cheap for only 7 dollars for a large bowl. The imperial concubine chicken is the best Cantonese chicken I have eaten in Toronto. The chicken body is ice-cold and fragrant with ginger velvet. What is rare is that you can actually see the layer of jelly in the middle of the chicken skin! Delicious food on earth! The coffee is freshly roasted and very spicy and delicious. The rice rolls are better than all the well-known morning tea shops, the skin is soft and elastic, and it is better than the old street rice rolls. The only ordinary ones are salt and pepper, which is a foreigner's method of coating fried fish with flour. In fact, it tastes pretty good. To sum up, every dish is of a high standard, far superior to Cantonese restaurants such as Queen and Emperor’s Famous Porridge. Thanks to this Cantonese chef in Toronto for imparting his cooking skills.“
“My family and I been regular customers since 2012. They've worked very hard physically and mentally. Good food at competitive price. Please nicely tip them as it's only a small family business! Support small Local.(Nobody told you to all come at rush hour time. If you can't wait can't be patient can't forgive can't be considerate with short-staffed small business, nobody beg you to come here)God BlessAmen“
“This place is great. Good food at a reasonable price. They always have my food ready within 15 minutes and never mess up my order. I have never sat to eat but when I pick up I see they have a clean space. My favourite chinese food in the area.“
“Used to come here as it WAS the best Yum Cha spot. Unfortunately their recipe for their Hagow changed. It used to have a wrapping that was crystal clear and was filled with shrimp. Now it’s this white dull wrapper and the filling is like mushed up shrimp paste and it had this rubbery texture. Most of their menu items also have taken a nose dive in quality.I can definitely say this is no longer the best Yum Cha spot in the GTA“
“Recently got to try Ricey Silo and I loved how spacious and well lit the restaurant is. Their menu quite straight forward and we grabbed one original crossing bridge noodle and one tomato beef noodle. The menu comes on a sheet of paper that you can mark off.The food arrived fairly quickly and the tomato beef noodle was just alright. We really enjoyed the crossing bridge noodle though! The bowl was very hot as it should be and we got to put the toppings in ourselves versus a lot of the other places these days. The toppings are more premium than others including a slice of fish etc but the price does reflect that at around $20 for one bowl. They do not offer unlimited noodle refills but the one portion was definitely filling enough. I quite enjoyed the broth flavour as well. Highlight was the chicken cartilage appy that we got to share. It was seasoned very well and had quite a lot of pieces. It arrived piping hot and I would totally come back just for this dish!“
“Delicious hakka food at a great price! Owners are so lovely and accommodating (i.e. own take out containers)Vegetarian options: Veg chow mein has great wok flavorStir fry green beans are always deliciousManchurian tofu has just amazing spicy kick“
“The shop is small but very cozy. It specializes in Northeastern cuisine. I love the Northeastern handmade dumplings and steamed buns with soy sauce, as well as mustard-spiced shredded lamb tripe, braised lamb and intestines. There is a lot of delicious food, and the boss is very enthusiastic.“
“Tried this place for the first time this morning. I would say the dim sum were good tasting and the Taro dumplings were the best that I’ve ever tasted. Restaurant was converted from a Caucasian style restaurant. There are some interesting decor although I’m not sure about the mix of decorations. However, the atmosphere is quite nice compared to other similar restaurants. The seating was nice, comfortable and spacious. It’s not a humongous restaurant so it’s more cozy. I would go back again if I’m in Toronto.“
“My bowl of noodles with minced pork and paste wad tasty. The soup filled dumplings were delicious and cooked well. They did not break open and spill the yummy soup everywhere. Convenient and satisfying. My wife and daughters lived their dumplings as did I. Place is a bit small mostly for 4 people dining. They do have couple round tables for 6 to 8 people. Food came out quickly. Fried rice was meh.“
“You have not had noodles until you have had these noodles! I have been a customer here for over 20 years and I will always return.Signature egg noodle is my favorite and the chili oil is lovely also. The service is very fast even though this place does get very busy.“
“The plaza this restaurant is located in is a bit rundown. The restaurant itself is brightly lit and seems vibrant enough. On a Monday night before six, the place was already about half full. Only 2 servers but the service was fine and both servers were very friendly. The food was good, portions were good size and pretty good value. I also noticed that they have quite a few set meals to choose from. Good choice for a low-key Cantonese meal.“
“I'd like to start this off by saying, I am NOT good at handling spice. And the medium spice level, which is generally something I can handle, was so spicy, I immediately regretted it. That being said, the ingredients are very fresh and flavourful, and the soup base itself is also very tasty. I liked the "open bar" concept here, it's very unique for Canada. The staff were incredibly nice and very polite as well. The only thing I wasn't too fond of was the space inside. It's very small and can only hold about 10 people comfortably. But other than that, absolutely amazing place, truly a hidden gem!“
“Loved this place long even before the renovations and came back recently for brunch. Still the same people running it and some old staff. Fantastic dim sum and great service. No wait or lineup for Sunday brunch but that’ll soon change once word gets out. Like the new updates they made. Lots of extra staff for dimsum ?“
“This is a typical authentic Chinese restaurant. The menu is extensive. Many set menu deal with many good choice you can make. The pricing was excellent, fit my pocket book during this time when everything is expensive. The food was excellent and service was good. It was not too busy, so we can sit and chit chat a little longer after dinner. Will definitely return.“
“Came for dinner. Good quality Cantonese style dishes with some creativity. Good portions. Sweet and sour pork was unique with sliced pear fruit and sweet ginger slices. Really liked the garoupa pinenut fish, good chunks of fillet. Fried Egg yolk shrimp and pumpkin was piping hot. Would come again.“
“The Har Gow, those Jumbo Shrimp Dumplings, were a real treat--succulent shrimp snugly wrapped in a perfectly translucent casing. And the Shu Mai, a mix of Shrimp and Pork Dumplings, was a flavor-packed duo that left us hankering for more. The bold move to try Chicken Feet with Special Sauce showcased the chef's talent in whipping up something both unique and delicious. The Shrimp and Vegetable Rice Roll offered a delightful mix of textures and flavors, while the Spareribs with Taro Black Bean were a genuine savory delight. The Salt & Pepper Tofu, a crunchy vegetarian option, surprisingly won over even the non-vegetarians among us. Then there was the Stir-Fried Chinese Broccoli with Ginger, adding a refreshing note that perfectly balanced the richness of the other dishes. But what really stood out, beyond the delightful taste, was the generous portion size.“
“Nice dining experience with an inviting atmosphere and lovely lighting. When you enter, you'll notice a oriental artwork on big wall. The ordering system is...you check boxes on a sheet of paper. Then, the staff is attentive and brings the dim sum selections directly to your table, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable meal. Highly recommend trying their delicious dishes, such as the lobster noodles and crispy BBQ pork buns!"“
“The eel claypot rice was cooked perfectly, it was flavorful, the crust bits at the bottom was tasty. The signature duck was fruity and flavorful. The greens were garlicky and full of flavors. The pork stomach and chicken soup was a little too peppery to my liking. The service was attentive and efficient. The vibes were more like some place in Hongkong.“
“Menu via QR code made ordering so much more convenient!i ordered the baked pork chop rice with tomato sauce was pretty flavourful! My friends all enjoyed their dishes too, especially the french toast was so yummy. The environment overall was clean and enjoyable. Lots of parking for access?“
“We went on a Monday at 1:30 and there was a wait for a table. They had majority of their dim sum dishes despite being past peak lunch time.Pricing is reasonable and well worth it for the quality of food. Service could be better. We had to continuously ask different servers for the same item, like water and napkins.Nothing extraordinary, however a solid weekend dim sum spot.“
“We ordered from General Thai to cater for my son's first birthday party. Tina and her staff were so helpful, and made everything so easy for us. The food tasted amazing and guests were asking where we ordered the food from. I was happy to recommend General Thai. We will be happy returning customers! Thank you Tina and staff at General Thai!“
“Jang. This place is good value. Open late at night after your 9:30 pretty much there are no good restaurants. Would definitely come back, service is good.Rec beef with sizzling plate, it's a custom request and worth the additional $3.A-choy with beancurb is really good too.All in all another A grade restaurant.“
“Super good customer service, we feel at home when we are greeted. We are three people group and they let us to sit at a table for 10 as there were no other empty tables. The gesture won 5 stars from the beginning. We ordered sour and sweet pork and five flavored duck, unfortunately the duck was sold out (although it was only 7:30pm at the time) then we changed to Vancouver crab with vermicelli which was quite tasty, but we just wished the crab legs could be cracked open by chef before serving like other seafood restaurants do. The cost was $28 per pound, so we got one crab about 2.6 lbs, the crab itself costed almost $100. We also ordered the shrimp and scallop with veggie, substantial size of fresh tasted shrimp and scallop, good to order. Sour and sweet pork is as normal, crispy outside, no complaint about that. So we only ordered 3 dishes, dessert and tea was complimentary. The total cost with tax and tip comes at almost $200. Not a cheap meal, it may be a better choice to order than Vancouver crab combo at $148 with more dishes and better dessert.“
“Deer garden is my one of my favorite spots to get noodle soup, dine in or take out either way, always hits the spot. You get to customize your bowl by choosing what soup, noodles, veggies and protein. They have different sides and drinks to add to your order and if you're not a noodle kind of person they have Rice options too.“
“Ronica was very friendly with great customer service explaining the menu items for first timer and very accommodative to non spicy level at place like Szechuan place. Food was great with lots of veggies! Will certainly come back to try other menu items.“
