“Service was excellent. We were greeted and seated immediately after walking through the door. Servers came by frequently to give extra napkins. And the bibs + hairtie are a nice touch.
Food was exceptional. We were craving some delicious hand pulled noodles and these did not disappoint. Noodles had the perfect hand pulled texture. They were springy, and the perfect vessel for the broth and meat. We also ordered some side dishes (numbing chicken, dumplings and cold starters). All very tasty. Will definitely go back if we are in Toronto again.“

“One thing that I liked the most beside delicious food was the cutlery and dishes were very clean. Also the elder person who served us was very polite which we do not see these cleaniness and politeness in most other restaurants in GTA these days anymore. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.“

“Although the restaurant is small, it feels very warm and cozy. The rice noodles taste great, and the soup is rich and flavorful. They also offer some Yunnan snacks, such as beef pancakes, which I order every time. I often come here for a bowl of rice noodles after playing badminton nearby—it’s very satisfying and relaxing.“

“You come here for the shrimp wontons & noodle. I like the dry version (soup in separate bowl). Love the chili oil. It actually has some spice to it. Everything is self-serve and now only comes in disposables. Noodles and soups come in either waxed carton bowls or plastic containers. Hoisin sauce for noodles is provided on the top of a plastic container lid. Lol.“

“Overall, my experience was just okay.
The environment was pleasant and clean, and the general flavor of the dishes was acceptable. No major complaints on the ambiance or basic taste.
However, the main issue was the freshness of the food. The meat did not seem as fresh as I would have liked, and some of the cold dishes also tasted like they had been sitting out for a while. This significantly detracted from the meal's quality.
If the kitchen can address the freshness of their ingredients, particularly the meat and cold appetizers, this restaurant would definitely earn a higher rating.
Would you like me to make any adjustments to this review before you post it?“

“The Big Trio is my go-to place for wonton noodle twice a week. Their beef tripe is also very tasty and tender. However the combinarion of wonton and tripe is the best. Add a bit of chilli oil...oh my.... my stomach thanks me for it. I think i am addicted to it. ;)“

“Your soups taste just like the ones my mom makes, so comforting and amazing! My mom hasn’t been in Toronto lately, so no one’s been making soup for me. I had a terrible cough recently, with that “razor blade throat” feeling (those who know, know 😭😭). Thankfully, your soups saved me!!!“

“Last night we enjoyed an amazing meal at Ming Cuisine . We were a party of 8 and we dined in the Private dining room. The food was brought to our table by very polite servers and every dish came with immaculate presentation. We enjoyed the eel, ( 2 different ways) , lobster beautifully presented on a bed of noodles, ribs, rice, beef noodles, green vegetables with garlic and two fish dishes. We also enjoyed almond milk soup and a sesame ball for dessert. As a Caucasian it was alot of fun to get a taste of Hong Kong cooking and the owner, David was great as he described everything to us! It was a wonderful evening with great friends ! Thank you to David and his staff! We will be back!!“

“Small hole in the wall restaurant that's run by the cutest Asian couple! The food really hits the spot, but be patience as they take take to make you a hot comforting meal.
It's mainly a takeout place with some tables, but it's not a full service restaurant.
I look forward to trying more dishes! Overall great food and prices, if you order in person you'll need to wait a bit.
I give them 8/10!“

“Hidden in a mall that’s almost abandoned, and this kitchen feels like the only thing that is attracting customers. Fast, reasonable priced, and tasty Chinese fast food. Portions are huge too. Busy on weekend nights. Recommend to call ahead before pick up.“

“Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Canada. There's always a fresh catch of the day of delicious seafood 🤤 Honestly, I've been to hundreds if not thousands of restaurants and there isn't a single item off the menu that me and my guests have not enjoyed. Anna is super hospitality and treat us like family 💗 Highly recommend if you haven't given it a try already“

“I just realized that I've going here for 34 years (since before it moved to this location in the plaza and was on the East side of Yonge Street in Oak Ridges)😳
It will always be one of my go-to Chinese takeout places - even though I've lived in Toronto now for over 12 years 🥰“

“Have been to this restaurant many time, for sit in and take out. Consistent nice food, great service from staff, and comparable price. This time I ordered chicken with ginger and green onion, stir fried eggplant in hotpot, and garlic sauce vegetable, good taste and good portion. And came with complimentary desserts. Another great meal here. Thanks.“

“Overall, it was a pretty good experience. The Cantonese food was authentic and suited my taste very well. The service was a little slow, but still acceptable. The atmosphere was typical of a traditional Cantonese restaurant—nothing particularly outstanding, but nothing to complain about either.“

“No-frills traditional Chinese eatery that focuses on the food (ie: interiors and service are mid). Homestyle flavours with prices that just can't be beat. They open late-night which is perfect for shift workers and night owls. Anything you get will be good here!“

“Been coming here for 20+ years. Wuality same as ever though hard to stomach how much costs have gone up. Thats the price of having something everyone wants. The same two women been working their cash/cleaver magic the whole time. Neighbourhood treasure.“

“It gave me a sense of nostalgia because I used to eat cart noodle house a lot in Hong Kong. The price was reasonable and the food was the same as the one in Hong Kong. Highly recommend to give it a try if you miss Hong Kong’s cart noodles“

“Nine of my friends and I recently visited Mr. Congee. Overall, we had a good experience, and all of my friends were happy with their meals. I am vegan, and the options for me were quite limited, but I managed. One of my friends is gluten intolerant, and unfortunately she could only have a small portion of steamed vegetables. It would be wonderful if you could consider adding more clearly labeled vegan and gluten-free dishes to the menu. The staff who served us — Yao, Michelle, and Jason — were very kind, polite, and attentive. We truly appreciated their service. The only thing that bothered me was seeing live crabs in the tank near the entrance. For animal advocates, this can be quite disturbing.“

“Starchiva offers authentic Chinese banquet-style dining, but the prices feel high for what you get. The live seafood presentation is interesting and very traditional, though it may not appeal to everyone. The atmosphere suits classic Chinese dining more than a modern crowd. The highlight of our visit was the exceptional service—our server was incredibly helpful and guided us through the menu with care.“

“M17 was $16 but charged $18.
Good value food but english translation is not so good. Also, for takeout, must ask for napkins, utensils or hot sauce...not asked if we want it or not nor automatically given...service could be better.“

“Had breakfast there… there were a variety of choices, and prices were decent. Service is like your typical Chinese restaurant, straightforward, not much manners, dont expect any chit chat. As for Ambience, tables were inches away from each other. Seating were tight and just like you were in HKG, you almost feel like you’re sharing the table next to you. Almost. But overall, the food was still the main point and it was good food. Loved the scrambled eggs, and loved that they have HKG style street rice rolls (街邊腸粉) as a choice“

“Came once and kept coming back, now four visits in and still loving it. Great value, tasty food, and a spacious, comfortable space.
The standout dish is the crispy braised pork belly with fermented red bean curd — served with fresh lettuce so you can wrap it like Peking duck. The crunch of the lettuce against the tender, flavourful pork is just incredible. The pork stomach and chicken soup and claypot rice are also highly recommended, especially for the price.
Friendly service too. Genuinely one of my favourite spots — highly recommend“

“This is a very casual, low-key place, perfect for lunch! I tried their braised pork belly with preserved mustard green on rice and sea coconut partridge soup. Both outstanding! Hot and flavourful! They also have a new Thai menu. I will definitely go back to try their Singapore hainanese chicken on rice. They take credit cards. Plenty of parking!“

“The first time I went, they weren’t busy. Now they’re very popular. Back then, they weren’t very welcoming if you didn’t speak the language.
One thing they consistently do well is the food🤭it has tasted great every time I’ve visited. However, recently the prices have gone up a lot. At these prices, you could have a decent BBQ meal, while this place is really more of a snack restaurant.
If you’re wondering what to order, I’d recommend the noodles and some of the side dishes.
The customer service has improved compared to before. The staff are now fast and professional. Wait time is long. Sometime they didn’t have table so I left.“
“Had Sunday dinner there with family to celebrate birthday. We reserved for 6pm and was not full yet but by 7pm it was packed. However the food was at our table with speed and even though it was so busy, the wait staff were able check in on us and offered to change our plates several time. I forgot to order birthday buns until the middle of the meal but Angel made sure it happened and said it was their birthday gift. We had the lobster combo dinner and it was well prepared like the other dishes. Not overly salty. We were worried when a banquet is happening, which there was several happening on that day, food is mass produced with less care but this was not the case. The combo dinners are excellent value, combined with good service and well cooked...Our family all agree this restaurant will be on repeat visits and highly considered if we are planning any banquets too.“

“Overall simple to the point, Chinese takeout. Portion size was good in the all in one combo. Lots of noodles and chicken and vegetables. Noodles were a bit under seasoned and the chicken was mostly sweet but that’s kind of the experience I want/crave with simple Chinese takeout. I’ll be back.“

“Food quality & taste use to be good earlier now recently its gone down. Chilli chicken had big pcs, less gravy. Manchurian veg pakora style also doesn’t taste like it use to be. Soggy & less gravy. We ordered Singapore noodles for first time hoping it will be better then their hakka noodles but it was so terrible in taste! As if we are eating noodle in turmeric sauce - very few veggies & TONS of turmeric!
Not sure if they change their cook or what. It use to be so tasty now its just the opposite!“

“We’ve been in this restaurant for half dozen times. There is no doubt that it is the top Shanghai cuisine in Toronto. I just don’t understand why the Google review is only 3.5. It’s definitely worthy to eat in.“

“Always a great spot for lunch and economical. Every time I go, there is a constant stream of people that come in for both dining and takeout. It is a family runned restaurant with limited staff, so the service is quite slow when it’s busy.
The food is always hot and tasty. The lunch specials are $8.75 or $9.75 and from 11am to 5pm everyday. It’s a great value!
I have also included another picture of what other dishes are available at this restaurant, but I don’t have pricing for those.“

“Dimsum was good value and portion when you come before 11 a.m. for the fixed price. However, service is slow. Came on a Friday morning at 10. Not sure if it’s because we don’t speak Chinese, but it was so difficult to get a server to ask for anything. I had to physically walk to the middle of the dining room to ask for something because we were kind of neglected in the room in the back. They barely understood basic English. Tea pot and hot water were empty for a long time.
Anw, just like many Chinese restaurants, you go for the food, so if you’re not in a rush, this is a good option.“

“Cheap, family run, fast service. Food is standard, nothing exceptional, but not bad by any means. We got the bbq pork rice roll , Hong Kong curry fish ball, and chicken and brocoli fried noodles. I would only get the noodles again, as it had a nice wok char. Service was great.“

“Oh my goodness. I am writing a review immediately after ordering take-out from this restaurant. We moved recently into the area but were going to order from a place further away, that was tried and true. But, then there was a snow storm and no way did I want to drive so far in this weather. We took a chance on Mister Moon’s and I am so glad we did. I wanted to try all of our favourite dishes, even though it was way more food than we could eat in one sitting. But we are very picky about dishes. The chicken balls have to have big chunks of chicken with just a nice coating of batter. The lo mein needs to be free of any veggies, but still have flavour. And the beef and broccoli, juicy beef but crispy broccoli. Oh. And this place had two kinds of wontons. So, my review? So darn good!!! We actually received sweet and sour chicken, instead of sweet and sour chicken balls. So when I called, our incorrect item was rectified immediately. We were given two orders of the chicken balls (even though I promised one would suffice), but the restaurant insisted. Crazy thing though, we all loved the sweet and sour chicken as well. But. It’s the chicken balls that can make or break our opinion, and that’s why I really wanted to try them.
I cannot say enough good things about the food and the service. We will definitely be repeat customers. I’m stuffed, and very satisfied. Thank you so much for such a great experience!!“

“Great new Chinese restaurant and apparently with a well-experienced chef!
Reservations are HIGHLY recommended.
Their special steam soups are also pre-order only.
Great quality food, environment is okay, a bit stuffy but staff are very friendly and polite. They seem a bit understaffed though so it's tough for them to handle so many tables along with walk-ins.
Loved the pre-ordered soup, pig intestine was good, $10 鮑魚扣鵝掌 (
Supposed to be 海參 but they ran out so substitute with abalone) was a good deal. Mushrooms were big and juicy.
Chili oil was fragrant and good level of spice.
Will definitely return to try their other dishes.“

“The friendliest people ever, from the lovely ladies up from taking orders - so easily to be engaged and could completely understanding. There’s nothing negative about this place even though we just did take out for most of our stay from out of the country. But food & atmosphere is a 10/10 here! Will definitely come back the next time we visit again - just to chat with these lovely ladies - thank you“
