“We were looking for restaurants that we haven’t been and found this one after some googling. AI didn’t disappoint us. The cuisine is szechuan style and It is really good. We didn’t go spicy but all dishes are still very flavourful and tasty. The decor is unique and tables are nicely spaced out so you don’t feel cramped at all. Servers are friendly and attentive. They even packed our leftovers which you don’t see often in a Chinese restaurant. One matter to remember: they only accept Canadian debit card and cash. We will definitely go back and highly recommend.“

“My first time here. A friend of mine brought me for lunch. I had the spicy beef rib with wide noodles, the cold tripe salad, beef skewers and the shredded pork on bun. I would definitely recommend this spot. I will definitely come back with my wife.“

Also the elder person who served us was very polite which we do not see these cleaniness and politeness in most other restaurants in GTA these days anymore. “Although the restaurant is small, it feels very warm and cozy. The rice noodles taste great, and the soup is rich and flavorful. They also offer some Yunnan snacks, such as beef pancakes, which I order every time. I often come here for a bowl of rice noodles after playing badminton nearby—it’s very satisfying and relaxing.“

“The Big Trio is my go-to place for wonton noodle twice a week. Their beef tripe is also very tasty and tender. However the combinarion of wonton and tripe is the best. Add a bit of chilli oil...oh my.... my stomach thanks me for it. I think i am addicted to it. ;)“

“It’s the best and one of the oldest noodle places. They only serve three main ingredients: beef, wonton and fish ball and all good. It’s a self serve restaurant and pretty large interior. Can also buy the raw ingredients for home hot pot. One drawback though is the use of takeout bowls and utensils even for dining in.“

“Last night we enjoyed an amazing meal at Ming Cuisine . We were a party of 8 and we dined in the Private dining room. The food was brought to our table by very polite servers and every dish came with immaculate presentation. We enjoyed the eel, ( 2 different ways) , lobster beautifully presented on a bed of noodles, ribs, rice, beef noodles, green vegetables with garlic and two fish dishes. We also enjoyed almond milk soup and a sesame ball for dessert. As a Caucasian it was alot of fun to get a taste of Hong Kong cooking and the owner, David was great as he described everything to us! “I’ve been coming here for over a decade. Asian Garden is a staple for Hakka food in RHill. Their hot n sour soup is what I crave as well as their chicken corn soup. Esp when I’m not feeling well. Also enjoy the Hakka noodles and chilli beef dry. It’s simple food with a simple set up.“

“It’s been a long time that it was my lunch place back in 20 yrs ago. It is a family-oriented restaurant. Good portion for the price and food always served in hot temperatures.

Same staff and I’m so glad they all recognized me after I left Toronto for over 10 years. The warm welcome and service stay the same that how they can last long.

“This cafe has been one of our family‘s favouite and we used to go there for almost everyday Saturday for dinner.

Its setting is not very large and consists of around 10+ tables of various sizes and they were placed very close to each other. It can hardly for 2 pesons to get through them at the same time. Like the traditional cafe, apart from the main menu on the table, the special dishes were posted up around all the walls to catch the customers‘ attention.

As observed, there is always a long queue of people waiting for the tables during the dinner time. Hence, it’s better to make reservation beforehand.

As referenced from its main menu, it offered a lot of meal choices with various cooking styles. This time, we ordered a dinner combo of 8 dishes including fried eggs with scallops, sweet and sour pork ribs, beef stews, chicken, fried fish, vegetables, etc. Soup and dessert were complimentary. Consistenty, all these dishes were well pepared and delcious.

Apart from the fact that the food is good, its servers were also polite, friendly and helpful. Though the cafe is somehow quite crowded, its food and service were highly satisfactory. One must definitely have a try.“

We were 3 and we ordered one Casserole rice and a hotpot. The casserole rice is very good and crunchy. A must try at this place. For the hot pot we ordered the herbal chicken soup base that was very very good. The rest of the hot pot ingredients were also fresh and tasty.

I came to Kum Hong BBQ Restaurant based on a recommendation from a friend. I ordered their large rice combo with two choices of meat — duck and roasted pork.
The portion of meat was fairly small, while the majority of the box was rice. I also noticed there were no vegetables or additional sides like soy milk or soup, which some other BBQ rice box places include. That said, the price was still decent for a quick and convenient lunch.
There isn’t really any dine-in seating, aside from the counter by the front window, so this is definitely more of a takeout-style spot. The ladies working here were very nice and friendly, and they also spoke English, which made ordering easy.
As for the food itself, I found the quality of the duck and roasted pork to be just okay. Nothing was particularly bad, but I wasn’t blown away by the meat either.
Overall, I think Kum Hong BBQ is worth considering if you’re looking for an affordable and quick lunch, but based on my experience, I’d probably explore some other BBQ rice box spots before making this a regular go-to.“

“It gave me a sense of nostalgia because I used to eat cart noodle house a lot in Hong Kong. The price was reasonable and the food was the same as the one in Hong Kong. Highly recommend to give it a try if you miss Hong Kong’s cart noodles“

“Nine of my friends and I recently visited Mr. Congee. Overall, we had a good experience, and all of my friends were happy with their meals. I am vegan, and the options for me were quite limited, but I managed. One of my friends is gluten intolerant, and unfortunately she could only have a small portion of steamed vegetables. It would be wonderful if you could consider adding more clearly labeled vegan and gluten-free dishes to the menu. The staff who served us — Yao, Michelle, and Jason — were very kind, polite, and attentive. We truly appreciated their service. “The first time I went, they weren’t busy. Now they’re very popular. Back then, they weren’t very welcoming if you didn’t speak the language.

One thing they consistently do well is the food🤭it has tasted great every time I’ve visited. However, recently the prices have gone up a lot. At these prices, you could have a decent BBQ meal, while this place is really more of a snack restaurant.

If you’re wondering what to order, I’d recommend the noodles and some of the side dishes.

“Had Sunday dinner there with family to celebrate birthday. We reserved for 6pm and was not full yet but by 7pm it was packed. However the food was at our table with speed and even though it was so busy, the wait staff were able check in on us and offered to change our plates several time. I forgot to order birthday buns until the middle of the meal but Angel made sure it happened and said it was their birthday gift. We had the lobster combo dinner and it was well prepared like the other dishes. Not overly salty. We were worried when a banquet is happening, which there was several happening on that day, food is mass produced with less care but this was not the case. The combo dinners are excellent value, combined with good service and well cooked...Our family all agree this restaurant will be on repeat visits and highly considered if we are planning any banquets too.“

“Food is good. It’s a bit different every time. If you go in the morning for dim sum, most days are good and some days are a bit off. Some days, the food is too soft, like the har cow just falls apart and hard to pick up, same as the siu mai. Dinner time, the food is pretty good. But I’ve only been there once for dinner.
Service is decent. You have to go find them or wave them down a few times to get them to come to you. Would definitely recommend to try. It’s just a regular dim sum place like everywhere else. Nothing special but still good!“

“Oh my goodness. I am writing a review immediately after ordering take-out from this restaurant. We moved recently into the area but were going to order from a place further away, that was tried and true. But, then there was a snow storm and no way did I want to drive so far in this weather. We took a chance on Mister Moon’s and I am so glad we did. I wanted to try all of our favourite dishes, even though it was way more food than we could eat in one sitting. But we are very picky about dishes. The chicken balls have to have big chunks of chicken with just a nice coating of batter. The lo mein needs to be free of any veggies, but still have flavour. And the beef and broccoli, juicy beef but crispy broccoli. Oh. And this place had two kinds of wontons. So, my review? So darn good!!! We actually received sweet and sour chicken, instead of sweet and sour chicken balls. So when I called, our incorrect item was rectified immediately. We were given two orders of the chicken balls (even though I promised one would suffice), but the restaurant insisted. Crazy thing though, we all loved the sweet and sour chicken as well. But. It’s the chicken balls that can make or break our opinion, and that’s why I really wanted to try them.
