Congee House Restaurant Reviews
Cheap, family run, fast service. Food is standard, nothing exceptional, but not bad by any means. We got the bbq pork rice roll , Hong Kong curry fish ball, and chicken and brocoli fried noodles. I would only get the noodles again, as it had a nice wok char. Service was great.
Great value for
Food was subpar and service was minimal. Tried the curry and rice noodle.

Congee House Restaurant offers a mix of traditional Cantonese and modern dishes, with positive reviews highlighting its quality and variety. The sliced fish congee is reported to be fresh, while the fried dough is not as crispy as desired. The drinks, particularly the milk tea and soy milk, are said to lack strength. The service has also received some criticism, with a waiter's behavior mentioned as a concern. However, the restaurant has received praise for its Jidi porridge, imperial concubine chicken, and rice rolls, which are described as delicious and of high quality. The snack prices are considered a good deal, with dishes like the Kyoto steak and shrimp and scallop porridge receiving compliments. It's also noted as a great location for those in the north side of Markham and Richmond Hill, with many dishes full of flavor and always tender. Overall, the restaurant provides a mix of hits and misses, with the traditional Cantonese offerings being the standout items.
