I recently dined at a Northern Dumpling Kitchen, and the experience was average. The extensive menu offered a diverse range of dishes, from traditional dim sum to Chinese noodles. The leek and onion pancake were delicious but the steamed chicken dumpling was extremely dry. The service was not the best but it was acceptable. Overall, not the best restaurant but this is great choice for a cheap Chinese food.
Food was average and there are better dumpling restaurants around. Service while acceptable was not phenomenal. Most shockingly is their upfront approach for additional tips when already 15% was provided. Once explained to them that it's not a legal requirement or if it's not invoiced properly on the bill, it's not a requirement they insisted and tried to express that it was for "tea money", which is common as long as documented (this occurs at the large dimsum restaurants). Simple northern Chinese restaurant, quick tasty and affordable given the average price of meals nowadays. Their steam dumplings is different than boiled as the texture of the dumplings is not as soft if it was boiled.
