“The food is very good, especially the Mao Du Gong dishes. It is very suitable for gathering with friends. The waiters Lily, Brandy and Hazel have perfect service. They helped us set the table and paid careful attention to our needs. They took the initiative to get the tableware for us.“

“Always have a good experience at this location! The meat bowel is delicious and love their fried skewers too especially when it’s fresh out of the kitchen. My friend from Montreal asks to come here whenever he visits Toronto! Also theres complimentary Chinese plum drink which is good with spicy food!“

“Jimmy, our friend from Pittsburgh, USA told us about this place. He read about it on a Chinese community group chat and is determined to eat here when he gets to visit Toronto. He said the food is authentic from his hometown in Anhui, China. He is missing real Chinese food.
We have eaten here twice. Service is friendly and thoughtful. My 92 yo mom loves the wide soup noodles (their signature dish). I like the rice noodles with sour beans.
Washrooms are clean but they are downstairs in the basement.“

“How can you miss this if you really like crab nibbling?
Especially this season is a good time for crabs60
The taste of salted egg yolk and milk is so satisfying. The more you eat the rich milk aroma, the more you want to eat it.
And it’s very delicious. I like to eat crab roe mixed with rice. I give you disposable gloves. The service is as good as ever~“

“Came here twice a year apart and the pan fried baos were still jaw droppingly good. Crispy bottom without being burnt, meat and soup filling has a deep flavour that is sweet and fragrant aroma and not overly salty!
Duck vermicelli is very light flavour but hearty enough.“

“They only take reservations for a party of 6 or more. We arrived at 5pm on a Saturday. There were only a few tables available.
2 hours for dining. Great service and the staff are friendly and attentive. 10% off if you pay by cash.
You can choose the level of spice, which is great for someone like me, who can't take any spice. lol
The meat is tender and flavourful. Highly recommend the garlic with eggplants, lamb, beef hearts, and the fried milk custard.
Would definitely return.“

“A big surprise for me! Didn’t expect to have a great Chinese Cuisine dinner in Toronto at reasonable price. The Boss dissuaded us from over ordering. We had the 水煮鱼and麻婆豆腐。The taste was authentic and the portion was large. We went there the next day to have lunch there. The stir fried beef and the stewed noodle were great. After chatting with the Boss, he offered me his 二窝头 for free! For those who love mala, it’s a must go place in Toronto.“

“Nice and Convenience place. Good foods. Best Asia food shop in town.
Pricing at Bridge Ribs is reasonable, especially consideringthe quality and portion sizes. It’s slightly higher than a typical fast food chain, but given the fresh ingredients and the authenticity of the flavors, it’s well worth it.“

“We visited this place in a Saturday evening. The pork knuckle with rice is real good. Highly recommended. I always dreamed of having this dish in Longjiang, China but didn’t get a chance. Fortunately this place is a small gem on Yonge. This restaurant is small but looks like the owner tried hard to make the interior look similar to what you might find in Guangdong. Such as the plastic seats and foldable tables. There are other Chinese places in Toronto pretending that they have the same dish, but they are all kinda fake after I came here.“

“I would say the fish, I have ever had in my life. The fish is so fresh and tasty. The service also is amazing which makes the experience even more enjoyable and relaxing. The food is so fresh to the point that the fish melt in your mouth. Love it. I recommend everyone to come dine in this restaurant!!“

“Lunch time craving satisfied.
Wanted some HK Cafe food today, specifically some satay beef noodles.
@goodluckhkcafe always comes through. The food here never disappoints. Tho quite on the pricer side, but well worth it imo.
Key to finding a spot here is you have to come 10 to 15 min before actual lunch time. Once you pass the 12:00 point, the traffic picks up.
Try their drink menu as well. Highly recommended. I just didn't feel like having any milk tea or lemon tea today
Check this out next time you're in yonge and finch area.“

“I have been coming to Zao Men Kan for skewers for the past few years. Ever since I found this place, I couldn’t go anywhere for skewers! Unlike other places which they marinate most of their skewers in the same flavor, ZMK uses different spices for each! The chicken skin and the beef chest fat are my favorite skewers and are my must order each time I go!“

“Came on Sunday, around 12-1pm. It was a bit busy so we had to wait for a table but I was excited because I’ve been watching the culinary class wars show!
Service is really fast because they use iPads to take orders, but also the staff were really kind and lovely.
Overall, the food was pretty good but I wouldn’t say it’s the absolute best. I mainly tried the jajang (black bean sauce noodle) and the tangsuyuk (sweet and sour deep fried pork).
The jajang noodles have an amazing texture, and the sauce is creamy, but I had to add a bit of soy sauce. The tangsuyuk had a nice sauce, but I wish it was a bit crispier.
I definitely recommend anyone who comes to this restaurant to get a noodle dish or one of their popular dishes. We ordered other dishes such as a fried rice which was just decent. The table beside us enjoyed the popular dishes but barely touched their soup. :(
I also wish there were more non-pork options,, it seems like Paik really loves pork.“

“Very unique experience here! It almost felt like hotpot with the noodles being brought separate from the boiling broth, but it was a very nice touch to let the customers control the texture of their noodles! My partner and I shared a bowl, and there was so much variety of ingredients in one dish that we both ended up so full! The customer service was great and we will be coming back again!“

“The taste is very good, but the price is a bit expensive. I feel that there are very few types of side dishes, only plates of large dishes. It is a bit difficult to order food alone, so the store can consider adding some side dishes or half dishes.“

“Oct2024: third visit, and fond of the beef dry noodles, extra spicy and crispy pork bun. The special, marinated pork belly on rice with a braised egg is good too.
Have tried several of the side dishes and liked all of them: three delicacies in tofu, tofu with preserved egg, kelp salad, wood fungus salad, spicy beef tripe, crispy bun with pork and siu mai.
The noodles and sides are a good size serving for single diners. I think a noodle dish plus one side would be filling for most diners.
Rice noodles are also offered if you don't want wheat based noodles.
They also have lunch specials between 11:30am-3:30pm.
Seating is limited and austere, but service and food was excellent.
Not many places offer dry noodles and I thought this version was quite good and a decent serving size, will be back.
Vegetarian options: There are tofu dishes, vegetable dishes and dry noodle dishes made without meat.
The dry noodles sauce is made without meat or animal products and ingredients are listed in the menu: sesame paste, cilantro, green onion, sour green bean, dried radish.
Parking: Plenty of free parking, the restaurant is located in an office building surrounded by a parking lot.“

“China Wok Super Chinese Food has the best-breaded chicken wings (American Chinese food style) in the Greater Toronto Area. The scrumptiously marinated wings are coated with a seasoned batter (with unique, refreshing seasoning blends, such as rosemary) and fried to an absolute crispy golden brown. Once you start those wings, you can't stop. In fact, these wings are so good that I ordered 200 of them for my party last winter, and I still don't get tired of those damn wings! Also - they are great if you keep them in the fridge for a day & reheat them too.
Although their fried rice and vegetables are not as out-of-this-world as their wings, they all still pack great wok hei while tasting surprisingly "healthy" (because they are not as heavily seasoned as other Chinese food places). I think the chef wanted to ensure that the other dishes did not steal the show of their wings.
Overall, I strongly recommend China Wok Superb Chinese food, regardless of whether you want to grab a combo meal with wings, rice and vegetables or just ten wings for a meal. They are all great options with a decent price.“

“Eating a delicious 'leftover' (carefully reserved) pork bun for breakfast, and I'm motivated to get my laptop and leave a review.
We've been going for years, albeit not so often as we'd like. It's an hour drive from downtown TO, but we make the dedicated trip one or twice a year and we're never disappointed. We love the hot oil soups, the popcorn chicken and their various veggies dishes seasoned with pork.“

“The DURIAN PANCAKE/bun/cheese cake was REALLY REALLY REALLY GOOD!! That’s what I came for.
The durian cheese cake and the overall price is the reason I rated this place 4 stars, if no durian cheese cake would have been 3 stars as there wouldn’t have been anything stand-out, needing to return.
The other dishes we ordered were ok, good enough.
The braised short ribs were ok.. lacked flavour, the seasoning wasn’t fresh enough
The shredded potatoe had a very different and unexpected flavour and texture… really soft texture
The Wontons were just wontons as expected in this style of food.
The cold noodles tasted good.
We order 5 dishes for a table of 2. Bill was $54 before tip… so pretty cheap
Parking: Tons of space in the place during dinner time“

“Love Mary Bun! The owner is so sweet and the food is really affordable. It's also very consistent—always tastes great.
This restaurant was my first time trying Nanjing style siu mai/shaomai which are large dumplings filled with sticky rice and pork. They're rich and delicious and I love the texture. The dumpling wrapper is al dente and has a good firm chew. The pork is braised well so it's moist and very tender.
I've also had the zongzi (sticky rice with fillings), which are even richer and excellent if you love a high fat braised pork.
My roommate always gets the veggie steamed bun. They have such a pillowy soft texture!
Definitely check Mary Bun out!
I don't eat meat very often and there's not a lot of vegetarian food in the area. We would love if they made a vegetarian or vegan siu mai and/or zongzi with mushroom and tofu ❤️“

“I came here once of dinner and once for dim sum. I find that dinner service was very good. The lady serving us that evening was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious; we ordered 8 dishes for the 5 of us to share, and we did not even make a dent hahaha... they portions are very big, and we took the rest of the food home. Highly recommend coming here for dinner :)
Dim sum was just madness - it was very busy on a Saturday afternoon around 1:30pm, with lots of people standing at the front door. I actually don't like loud and crowded space; we couldn't even speak at the table with just the 4 of us. My voice was completely gone after that. I do not recommend coming here for dim sum, not because the food wasn't good, it was just WAY too loud.
Parking: There are more parking spots up the ramp on the 2nd floor“

“Ordered lunch special, which consisted of 2 lobsters with noodles, lobster duo, and Peking duck. Lobster was fresh and cooked to perfection. Combined with the noodles made, it tasted delicious. The Peking duck was a bit too oily for me, but it came with a flour paste, sauce, cucumber, and sprouts drowning the oil. I was very happy with the food and will try it again on my next visit to Canada ??.“

“Pretty good place. I like it because it feels more friendly and less fancy than Congee Queen. The food is very similar, I think it’s the same company. A new special menu just came out - with innovative dishes like special mushrooms, rice noodle roll with beef and truffle flavour. Good job to the chefs for creating new dishes!
The prices are still Ok, they’ve gone up a lot since the pandemic but it’s still affordable for me. I have come here with many friends and the food is consistently fresh and tasty. Thank you Congee Wong, you make my life so much better. However, I find the servers a bit slow or inattentive at times but that might be because I eat alone often, during off peak hours. They have a great deal between 3-5 pm weekdays where there’s a special menu and you get either a HK milk tea, lemon tea, or red bean with ice cream drink free. I think people get the red bean with ice cream a lot in that weekday afternoon special. It’s very worth it. Everything else is fine.“

“They have really good fried rice. I got the shrimp fried rice with Chicken on top. They specialize in Chinese Caribbean fusion. The Guyanese style chicken fried rice is also really good. There is even one called the amigo fried rice which is pretty popular. I've been going to this place for over 20 years and there's a reason why they've lasted this long.“

“A no-nonsense congee place in a retail plaza. What this place lacks in atmosphere it makes up for in flavour, charisma, and value. The server is friendly and I got the vibe that she actually cared whether or not we enjoyed our meal, making good suggestions. The youtian the server suggested are a must with the congee, hot, crispy and a perfect companion.“

“The clerk's quality was extremely poor. We asked for a number 2, but the clerk frowned and said we should say combo 2. When asked what kind of drinks we wanted, we didn't understand and were very impatient to explain to us. A little basic patience and respect are nothing short of quality. Our attitude was very good throughout the whole process, it would be better for you to take the initiative to make things happen. poisonous. This is the first time I've seen such poor quality.“

“Nothing but great things to say. If you want some hot spicy soup on a cold day? This is the spot. Most places have semi-spicy soup, but if you want a challenge, this is your spot. The braised chicken is beautiful tender and flavourful. With the price, they do not cheap out on the serving size. With each bite I took it didn’t feel like the dish was shrinking but rather growing with how much meat they gave!! This review is not based off of one visit either. Every time I’ve eaten here it’s been nothing but consistent.“

“This is a long-established claypot rice restaurant in Toronto. The second store opened in this location has the same price and maintains the same deliciousness. “An ideal venue for a late dinner or even a solo late night snack! The interior is clean and well-lit. As a Chinese "dumpling house", their specialty includes wonton and dumplings, but they also serve skewers, noodles, scallion pancakes, and more. “This is a dumpy looking hole-in-the-wall and if you know Chinese restaurants, you know this place must be serious eats. And IT IS! There is not one dish I've had at this place that disappoints me. Staff is prompt (like no small talk, no smiles, CLASSIC), gets your order, tell you the specials and kitchen get to work. I can't read Chinese, so I'm probably missing out on all the Chinese specials on the wall, maybe I'll try google lens next time and decipher everything. You don't go to No Frills to cry about it being no frills. Atmosphere is exactly what I'd expect from a place like this, its clean, no fuss, no decor, you don't like it, you're not serious about Chinese food. Best snow pea shoots in town, its tender every single time so you know they've meticulously picked out all the chewy bits :chefs kiss:. It's definitely what I consider a hidden gem. I've been to Chinese "banquet halls" restaurants with less impressive food (you know, the ones with the traditional tacky decor). My only complaint is seafood selection is pretty "selective" on any given day (aka not available), the live-tank looks pretty piss-poor. Still, I ain't knocking it any stars because seafood effin expensive anyways, ain't nobody got time (or money) for that.“
