“Food is mid, 3/5. There are better noodles in the area but this is not bad for the price. We tried the dry noodles and braised beef noodles with soup as well as a few cold dishes.
Service is excellent though - very quick and they gave me a hair tie, bib and basket for my jacket and bag.“

“Had a great meal here. The food was really good overall, but a few dishes really stood out. The fried tofu was honestly the best I’ve ever had—perfectly crispy on the outside and soft inside. The noodles had a great chewy texture and were paired with a rich, flavorful soup base that made the dish really satisfying. The ribs were also incredibly tasty, well-seasoned, and cooked just right. Definitely a place I’d come back to.“

“We went for dinner here yesterday and it was one of the best service ever. They greeted us and served us with a smile and enthusiasm throughout. We ordered noodles and they were good. We also ordered schezuan
chicken which was very dry to our liking and when mentioned, chef made a complementary gravy for us :) Their veg fried rice also had a lot of flavour and was really good
Hidden gem - must visit“

“So impressed with how good this place was!! The crispy ribs with chili pepper were fried to perfection and so crisp + flavourful! The chicken sandwiches were also perfectly crisp with juicy meat, and even the lettuce was fresh and crispy. Portion size was big too. Loved the spice and sauciness of the mala suicide chicken sandwich and will definitely be coming back here again 😊 even after driving home it was still crispy so I imagine having it fresh would be even better“

“The fried baos are delicious and I love the crispy bottom. It makes it a bit difficult to bite through without worrying about backsplash from the hot juice though. I also enjoyed the mini wontons which gave me a bit of broth to sip on while I ate the drier foods like the Chinese crepe and the baos. I think we paid in cash which gave us 10% off“

“Just had an amazing experience at this Chinese skewer spot and I’m still thinking about it 😋🔥
The skewers were perfectly grilled — smoky on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with bold, authentic flavors. You can really taste the care in the seasoning, especially with the cumin, chili, and garlic blends. The variety was great too — from tender lamb and beef to delicious veggies and tofu options.
Service was friendly and quick, and the vibe was lively without feeling chaotic. It’s the kind of place that’s perfect for sharing with friends, late-night cravings, or just treating yourself to something flavorful and fun.
If you love grilled skewers or want to try something new and exciting, this place is definitely worth checking out! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐“

“Came here around 5pm and were surprised to find we were the only table, but the food definitely did not disappoint. Everything tasted really good and their decoration is very unique.
The small yellow croaker was quite flavorful, the lamb skewers were delicious, and I especially loved the beef tripe skewers. Plus, they have a very large parking area. Would definitely come back again!“

“A small Hong Kong style cafe on Yonge street. There is no parking available that we will have to find paid street parking around the vicinity.
We visited on Tuesday lunch time. The cafe was quiet.
The meun is interesting as they have stonepot rice and other promotional dishes than the usual cafe menu.
The stone pot rice was pretty good as it was cooked upon order. The food quality and materials used were good too, except the ovaltine condensed milk French toast, of which the bread was kind of hard.
Service was friendly.
There are many other traditional Hong Kong style cafe items for you to choose.
Price was a bit higher than other similar establishments in the area.“

“I ordered the pork knuckle rice and the half pork knuckle and half pig intestine rice.
The pork knuckle was super tender and flavorful. The rice box comes with lettuce, pickled veggies, tofu and half an egg. I wasnt a big fan of the pork intestines because of the taste.
The total came out to around $28. The meal is super filling for the cost“

“I got the lemon-infused sauerkraut soup. It was absolutely delicious. It's nice that they also have quite a few extra things they give you (free of charge) in your dish like vegetables, rice, and large-sized portions of meat. The variety of options they have with their fish options are amazing, some with pumpkin-flavoured items and whatnot. Would definitely recommend! Only downside might be that this place is quite popular so there can be long wait times (as seating is limited) and quite a bit of noise (at the time of writing, on most days the restaurant is filled with a lot of people who can be quite disruptive to a happy meal).“

“I recently visited Wuhan Noodles 1950 and had a great dining experience. The Hot Dry Noodles (Re Gan Mian) may not taste exactly the same as the authentic version in Wuhan, but they are still very flavorful, rich, and satisfying. The portion size is generous, making it a filling meal.
I also tried the Beef and Radish Rice Noodles, which came with a large amount of tender beef and a hearty serving of noodles. The broth was rich and comforting, and the overall portion was excellent value for money.
One of the highlights was their chili oil. It was incredibly fragrant, packed with flavor, and blended perfectly with the noodles. It added just the right amount of heat and depth to the dishes.
Overall, the food was delicious, portions were generous, and the flavors were bold and authentic-inspired. I will definitely be coming back again and would happily recommend this restaurant to my friends and anyone looking for a satisfying Wuhan-style noodle experience in North York.“

“This is my absolute favourite Caribbean restaurant in town! The pepper shrimp, special chicken and young chow fried rice are my favourite dishes and a must try. The service here is top tier and I love all the beautiful bartenders! The owners are also amazing people as well. Give this place a try! You won’t be disappointed!!“

“The dishes were super flavourful and really hit the spot, with a great variety of comforting noodle options to choose from.
Portions were generous, and everything came out fresh despite how busy the place was. Service was impressively fast and efficient, even with a full restaurant, which made the experience even better.“

“I had the Shezwan Chicken with Brown Fried Rice & Vegetables. Portion size was generous and satisfying without feeling excessive.
The quality speaks for itself. The Shezwan sauce was well coated and glossy without the dish swimming in oil.
The vegetables Pak choy, carrot, broccoli, and onion were properly stirfried rather than soggy or overdone.
What stands out most is how light it feels compared to many Chinese takeaways. The fried rice was properly dry-fried and separated rather than clumped and greasy, which makes a noticeable difference both in taste and how you feel afterwards. The Shezwan spice level was balanced and the balance between protein, rice, and vegetables was just right.
Overall a solid, well executed dish that delivers on flavour, portion, and quality without leaving you feeling heavy. Definitely one to return to.“

“Came in here on a whim because my regular lunch spot is under construction.
The pho was very fresh tasting, with a really nice broth.
My brother got the shrimp wonton soup and he said his was very yummy.
I'll definitely be coming back to eat here again. You can tell it's a small, family owned business, and I love to support local.“

“The quality is very good for the price. The staff is friendly and seen and comfortable ingredients are fresh and prices flow. I will not review each item I ordered S7 pork chop cut lid for $5 is the best value. You get two full hot pork. Cutlets crazy good value and quality c3 potato slice. This one is not worth it. It was raw and had a weird taste. I also ordered r16 fish small chicken noodle soup and that had very good noodles. I like how it's Al Dante and one the noodles were different but I personallyante but some people might like it. Maybe just don't soak it in the soup so early put like half of it in and then eat and then put the other half later and one is $13.99.
Update may 20 visit 2025.
R16 is my fav. N1 r1 and f4 is just okay. I think f1 soup is good also better than f4 soup.“

“I gave a 5 stars was becos' u know what I went there so many times, went for lunch , bunch & supper too. So, there was good & bad abt. this. I tell u u have to try the pineapple crust topping bbq pork buns. I could eat a doz at 1 go, but of cos' I did not do so, there r other food to taste. Too bad for their deals , u can only choose A or B, & also only 1, u cannot choose 2 of A. So we had to go back to try the B. I preferred the B. If u had to choose, choose B. The tray of goodies r very good. The supper was ok. So I can show u some of the food we had.“

“I absolutely love their bok choy with shiitake steamed bun — soft, fragrant and full of flavour — and the diced pork with glutinous rice sticky rice dumpling is rich, satisfying and perfectly seasoned. “Excellent Chinese restaurant, great atmosphere and delicious food, especially Lanzhou beef noodles. My girlfriend and I often lunch her, and because of the pandemic, we are now ordering delivery. Very fast, tasty and not expensive. ps. You should definitely try fried noodles, chunks of lamb, and barbecue skewers.“

“I absolutely love this place! Their Peking duck is my personal favorite in the GTA! I always add $9.80 for the duck meat fried rice, which is incredibly flavorful. The Peking duck skin was very crispy, and just look at the beautiful presentation! The steamed egg with clams was good, but not quite as impressive as I had hoped. I saw many people rave about this dish, so maybe my expectations were too high. However, the egg was very soft and smooth. The stir-fried Garoupa with king mushrooms was good as well; the fish was fresh, but I expected a slightly larger portion given the price. The sweet and sour pork was decent. Overall, the experience was great as usual, and I will definitely keep returning and recommending this place!“

“Food is decent and quite authentic Hunan style. The smoked bacon was not very smoky like Chang De style. Bamboo shoot is tender and tasty. Rice noodle chewy and tasty. Sticky rice ball in the boring Changsha style but still good
Service was fast and vibe very homey“
“Nothing but great things to say. If you want some hot spicy soup on a cold day? This is the spot. Most places have semi-spicy soup, but if you want a challenge, this is your spot. The braised chicken is beautiful tender and flavourful. With the price, they do not cheap out on the serving size. With each bite I took it didn’t feel like the dish was shrinking but rather growing with how much meat they gave!! This review is not based off of one visit either. Every time I’ve eaten here it’s been nothing but consistent.“

“This is by far the freshest, cleanest and most well balanced. The broth is the most flavourful that I’ve tried and it doesn’t even need sauces. One of the only places with no stomach aches after 😆 I would give it 6/5 stars if I could!“

“Been driving past this place for years when I lived in the area. We decided to try it tonight and the only regret we have is we didn't try it years ago. Such classic homestyle cooking. Food comes out hot and quick. Prices are reasonable. Flavors are spectacular. Love a restaurant that stands the test of time.“

“Great little space.
Food is good. Pictures of food are better than the food itself, but it’s still pretty close.
They surprised us/me with cold red bean soup. It was good. I know we will be going back.
The staff seemed tired, but in good spirits. They were extra nice when we were paying the bill. 😆“
“Just ordered via UrberEat - good portion and flavour, clean presentation which are the important 3 elements for take out. Some dishes are on promotion and they didn’t cheap out on the portion which shows good business sense (I will never order again from places that do that). Son, the Canadian born likes the Chicken Leg lunch and I enjoy more authentic dishes - it’s rare to find a restaurant we all enjoy so will order again!“

“They have really good fried rice. I got the shrimp fried rice with Chicken on top. They specialize in Chinese Caribbean fusion. The Guyanese style chicken fried rice is also really good. There is even one called the amigo fried rice which is pretty popular. I've been going to this place for over 20 years and there's a reason why they've lasted this long.“

“This is probably one of my favorite clay pot rice places. I was initially unhappy with the takeout but dining in is definitely a whole other experience. I came at around 6 and it wasn’t as full then but not long after, more people started showing up and this place fills up fast. I got the chicken and preserved meat with double meat and I promise, getting double meat is well worth it. It’s so deeply savory and filling and I was easily able to have leftovers for the following day. The crispy rice adds such great texture and the chicken is unbelievably tender. Will happily go back and get the eel rice again with double meat this time.“

“I don’t know why it’s only 3 points. In the past month, I’ve tried all 3 platforms, self-pickup and take-out. There’s no problem. The service attitude is very good. The meal is not missed, and the taste is still very good within half an hour of delivery. I think the current street food is worth trying, and it is also worthy of 5 points of praise! come on!“

“I think I might just outgrown this type of restaurant. The food tastes cheap, but the price does reflect the quality (kind of). The portion is pretty big, and they give a free drink for ordering a main dish. Reasonable place if you are in a rush. You can be in and out within 20 minutes.“
